The Guardian for this meeting was Maxine Walden. The comments are by Maxine Walden.

This session was one of those delightful Midsummer's Night (almost literally) frolics, which at the time I could not quite see as such.  A typo of mine coined the phrase 'mysterical' when I meant to type 'mystical', but the 'sterical' aspect seemed to pervade at least the first hour's portion of the session which I could attend. Several special touches, including Alfred's av as a little robot box, Pila's handing our leis, and many other lyrical touches. The log says the session lasted 2 1/4 hours, so lots of opportunity for fun and frolic.

    Maxine Walden: hi, Steve
    stevenaia Michinaga: hello MAxine
Maxine Walden: nice to see you
    stevenaia Michinaga: likewise
stevenaia Michinaga: did you do a photgraph for the exhibit?
Maxine Walden: love your outfit, so rustic!
Maxine Walden: no, steve I did not. Did you?
stevenaia Michinaga: it will remain so, I so dislike changing clothes
    Maxine Walden: me too!!
stevenaia Michinaga: yes, I did, at first a stuggle, then it came to me in a flash (nop photo pun inteneded)
Maxine Walden: ah, I look forward to seeing it!
Maxine Walden: going to the 2pm show at the photo 'gallery'?
stevenaia Michinaga: strange how the mind work, a photo relates to being and time... so abstract, yet looking the the exhibit, there are so many manifestations of it there
Maxine Walden: may I ask what your inspirtation for your photo was
    Maxine Walden: ah...
stevenaia Michinaga: I may , but scheduling may not permit it
Maxine Walden: what inspired your photo?
stevenaia Michinaga: our little fountain here
    Maxine Walden: ah...!
stevenaia Michinaga: it;s the large pink one
Maxine Walden: I will look for it
stevenaia Michinaga: I wove together some chinese imagery of yong quan, the energy point on the bottom of the foot
stevenaia Michinaga: calling it "yong quan - Flower of time"
Maxine Walden: hmm, interesting, 'sole' of the foot?
stevenaia Michinaga: yes, the connetion point of chi with the earth
    Maxine Walden: ah...
stevenaia Michinaga: my Tai Chi teacher is also a nrse in Rl and learning chinese medicine
    Maxine Walden: Eliza, hi
    stevenaia Michinaga: Nurse
    Eliza Madrigal: Hi :)
    stevenaia Michinaga: hello Eliza
Maxine Walden: ah, another interesting point
stevenaia Michinaga: so she shares related material with us in class
Maxine Walden: talking about inspirations for the photo Steve contributed
Eliza Madrigal: TY Maxine, listening :)
    Maxine Walden: thanks, Steve
stevenaia Michinaga: ther is a copy of it
    Maxine Walden: very mysterical
Maxine Walden: mystical is what I meant to say
    stevenaia Michinaga: lol
Maxine Walden: not sure of the typo
    Maxine Walden: !!
Eliza Madrigal: Ohhh! yes I saw this... mystical is a great word for it... makes me think of swimming in pink waters
stevenaia Michinaga: yes, right in front of us Elisa
Eliza Madrigal: mysterical ought to be a word :)
    stevenaia Michinaga: Eliza
Eliza Madrigal: Ah! You took this at the fountain Steve? Neat!
Maxine Walden: it did flow off the keyboard easily...
    stevenaia Michinaga: yes
    Maxine Walden: hi, Cal
stevenaia Michinaga: it was a fun project, turning words and concepts into images
    Maxine Walden: say more, Steve
stevenaia Michinaga: the variety is wonderful
    Calvino Rabeni: Hello
    stevenaia Michinaga: hello Cal
Maxine Walden: (aware we are just a couple of minutes from the 90 sec pause...just to say)
    Eliza Madrigal: Hi Cal :)
stevenaia Michinaga: "Being in Time; Being as Time"
    --BELL--
stevenaia Michinaga: there is nothing in that that should be photographable
stevenaia Michinaga: ... until there is
    Maxine Walden: hmm?
Eliza Madrigal: beings and time seem to go together :)
stevenaia Michinaga: it's the moment of creativity, it; jsut here
stevenaia Michinaga: yes, they do, but what is that image that comes to mind
    Eliza Madrigal: hmm
Maxine Walden: ah, as your mind/imagination gazes images, aspects of Being and Time may come together, in mystical, maybe even mysterical ways
    Maxine Walden: (!)
    Eliza Madrigal: :))
Calvino Rabeni: mysterical = mysterious + hysterical ?
stevenaia Michinaga: the photos show many of the possibilities
Maxine Walden: maybe so, Cal. It began with a typo of mine a few minutes ago, when I meant to write mystical
    stevenaia Michinaga: :)
Calvino Rabeni: Calvino Rabeni likes it
Maxine Walden: for me the typos emerge from a playful unconscious, which is also Being, popping out, showing itself in often very amusing ways...maybe another part of our creativity
Maxine Walden: not quite as sophisticated as what steve was describing perhaps
stevenaia Michinaga: I must ba away to prep dinner, should be back in 10-20..... needs to look for spices, tenderize dinner
Eliza Madrigal: a mischievous unconscious :)
Maxine Walden: ah, will try to sniff out your spices, steve
Calvino Rabeni: Dinner should always be tenderized ...
Maxine Walden: yes, Eliza, so much energy, verve, gumption in the unconscious...don't know where it gets its energy sometimes
    Maxine Walden: agree, Cal
    Eliza Madrigal smiles
    Maxine Walden: hi, Alf
    Eliza Madrigal: Hi Alfred :)
    Eliza Madrigal: (speaking of mishievous)
    Alfred Kelberry: oi :)
    Alfred Kelberry: wait, what?
Maxine Walden: oh, my, yes, robotic alf

    Maxine Walden: yes, alf!!
    Alfred Kelberry: em, no wol?
Maxine Walden: don't see her yet today
Alfred Kelberry: she's usually on at this time
Alfred Kelberry: so, how are you all?
Eliza Madrigal: yes, no sign of wol today :( perhaps walking a garden somewhere, or napping... (hopefully not at work)
Alfred Kelberry: stev is busy with thoughts :)
Eliza Madrigal is quite well thanks
Maxine Walden: fine, Alf. Yes Steve is tenderizing dinner
Alfred Kelberry: heh, napping at work, that very well may be wol :)
    Eliza Madrigal giggles

Alfred Kelberry: i should speak one message per minute :)
Alfred Kelberry: thank you, cal :)
Alfred Kelberry: i did a little smile for this av. otherwise it was rather sad looking :)
Maxine Walden: very sweet looking, alf,
Eliza Madrigal: yes, a little smile is a very nice touch
Alfred Kelberry: i found that life is not too easy for tiny avs in sl :) you can't seat or use most of animations :)
Maxine Walden: I think we are all intrigued by your av, alf
Maxine Walden: ah, sorry to hear that, life for the little guy can be complex
Alfred Kelberry: em, i can feel it and look for a place to hide now :)
Maxine Walden: please don't hide...we gaze with smiling eyes
    Eliza Madrigal: :))

Wol Euler: but the idea is: to discuss and do practical exercises on the subject of identity, character and appearance in SL
    Alfred Kelberry: kira cafe?
    Wol Euler: maybe
Wol Euler: have to arrange it
    Archmage Atlantis: In New Jersey?
    Wol Euler: in SL
Agatha Macbeth: Long way to go :)
    Archmage Atlantis: oh, virtual
Alfred Kelberry: finally, i'm glad it's coming to frution, woly :)
    Fael Illyar: meep! :)
SophiaSharon Larnia: yea, NJ and SL are quite different =^.^=
    Agatha Macbeth: Where's Frution?
    Agatha Macbeth: In New Jersey?
    pablito Steampunk: haah
    Wol Euler: Louisiana?
    Agatha Macbeth: Could be
Fael Illyar: yes, costs a bit less to travel to SL than NJ :)
SophiaSharon Larnia: a bit Fael haha
    Agatha Macbeth: Happily
Archmage Atlantis: I this that is either a personal question, or one for a sage......where fruition is
    Archmage Atlantis: *I think
Agatha Macbeth: No, Frution Arch :)
Lucis Raynier: Anybody gonna visit Moscow?
Wol Euler: I've been making notes on a blog, http://thesecondlifer.blogspot.com/
pablito Steampunk: yes, its nice, you see the RED SQUARE ^^
SophiaSharon Larnia: i would tomorrow if someone i knew was going lol
Wol Euler: one of these years, but not yet
SophiaSharon Larnia: oh thats right no passport
Lucis Raynier: in RL I work in esoteric bookshop in Moscow
    Agatha Macbeth: Wow
Archmage Atlantis: Don't wait too long, life has a way of eliminating possiblities of travel with age :)
    Wol Euler: wow
    Agatha Macbeth: Snap
SophiaSharon Larnia: nods at Arch :)
Agatha Macbeth: Well I'm half way there then
Calvino Rabeni: If I were not made of cardboard, I'd have shivers too
Agatha Macbeth: Maybe it's a board meeting...
    SophiaSharon Larnia: :D
    --BELL--
Lucis Raynier: looking good box guys ))
Archmage Atlantis: What makes a bookshop (anywhere) qualify for the adjective "esoteric" ?
    Agatha Macbeth: Da box crew
Archmage Atlantis: That's just curiosity, not comment
Fael Illyar: I suppose esoteric bookshop won't be selling bestseller novels :)
Agatha Macbeth: (Cats don't like curiosity)
Lucis Raynier: sell esoteric books 6000 items
Calvino Rabeni: Aren't there bestselling esoteric novels?
    Calvino Rabeni: e.g. Paolo Coello
Agatha Macbeth never understood the definition of 'esoteric'
Lucis Raynier: yes Coellio and Castaneda too
    Calvino Rabeni: YEs
    Calvino Rabeni: Definitions of "esoteric"?
Wol Euler: good question, Arch, how would we define it?
Calvino Rabeni: as the opposite of"exoteric"
Agatha Macbeth: Define 'exoteric' then :)
Agatha Macbeth will be right back.
Lucis Raynier: yes it is magic and occult literature also
Fael Illyar: ESOTERIC, adj. Very particularly abstruse and consummately occult. The ancient philosophies were of two kinds, -- _exoteric_, those that the philosophers themselves could partly understand, and _esoteric_, those that nobody could understand. It is the latter that have most profoundly affected modern thought and found greatest acceptance in our time. -- From THE DEVIL'S DICTIONARY ((C)1911 Released April 15 1993)
pablito Steampunk: well i know occult means hidden
arabella Ella: New Age and Spirituality too?
Lucis Raynier: I must go. bb to all
    arabella Ella: good night Lucis
    pablito Steampunk: bye Lucis
Fael Illyar: have fun Lucis :)
    pablito Steampunk: waves*
Lucis Raynier: nice to meet you all
arabella Ella: nice to meet you too :)
SophiaSharon Larnia looks up from here sandwich and waves bye :))
    Archmage Atlantis: Night Lucis
    SophiaSharon Larnia: her*
arabella Ella: i must go too goodnight all!
    SophiaSharon Larnia: bye ara
    pablito Steampunk: bye bye
    Archmage Atlantis: Bye Arabella.......
    Calvino Rabeni: Good night
Archmage Atlantis: Well, nothing feeds the ego like showing up just as the party ends late *g*
    Wol Euler: heh
    Fael Illyar: meep meep! :)
    Agatha Macbeth: Meep Meep ;P :p:P :p :P
Agatha Macbeth: Think I'll be off folks, take care
    pablito Steampunk: bye
    SophiaSharon Larnia: bye Agatha
    Archmage Atlantis: bye Agatha
Archmage Atlantis: so did the laundring of the unboxed Cal's socks reach a resolution?
    Archmage Atlantis: :)
    pablito Steampunk: lol
Wol Euler: I believe that we found it to be a good idea.
    SophiaSharon Larnia: hah
Archmage Atlantis: Prevents gangrene and fungus......that and regular bathing
Calvino Rabeni: Well, Agatha seemed scantalized by the very thought
Archmage Atlantis: I would vote to launder
Archmage Atlantis: This is definitely going to be a must read log *g*
    Wol Euler grins.
Fael Illyar: Yes, good idea but no-one besides Cal to do it so things will stay however they were.
    --BELL--
Archmage Atlantis: That was definitely worth 90 seconds of silence, Fael :)
    Fael Illyar: meep! :)
pablito Steampunk: yes, i like that idea a 90 second intermission of silence ^^
Calvino Rabeni: BTW, bubble wrap is a highly under-rated material
    Wol Euler grins
Wol Euler: hours of fun for all ages?
Calvino Rabeni: And most people don't appreciate its source
    SophiaSharon Larnia: giggles
    Calvino Rabeni: - cardboard boxes
Archmage Atlantis: If you have someone else to pop the bubbles on the wrap you are wearing.....more of an adult pleasure I'd say
    Wol Euler: gadzooks
SophiaSharon Larnia: i think it'd make a cool dress
    pablito Steampunk: lol
Wol Euler: if you filled the bubbles wiht coloured gas, so that it became transparent as they were popped ...
Calvino Rabeni: Calvino Rabeni would like to see Wol dressed entirely in bubble wrap :)
SophiaSharon Larnia is thinking of the logistics with that
Archmage Atlantis: That would be a fun idea for a clothing artist in SL, Wol
Wol Euler would wear that dress if Calvino Rabeni can find it.
    Fael Illyar giggles.
    SophiaSharon Larnia: :D
Wol Euler: all right, you're on.
Wol Euler: god knows when I'll get time to do this, but I'll give it a try
Calvino Rabeni: It could be a new (if small) SL fashion trend
SophiaSharon Larnia: would have to be prim
    Calvino Rabeni: hehehe
    Wol Euler: yep
Wol Euler: lots of scripted prims
SophiaSharon Larnia: and not a layer
    Wol Euler: right
Wol Euler: because the av body doesnT detect clicks
    SophiaSharon Larnia: :D
Wol Euler: tricky though, there are only some 2 dozen attachment points
Wol Euler: but youÄd probably want a hundred or more bubbles to pop
    Wol Euler thinks
SophiaSharon Larnia: or if you roll, pop pop pop
    Archmage Atlantis: Averts Koya's eyes
    Wol Euler: gr
    Wol Euler grins.
Wol Euler: yes, it could detect collisions too :)
SophiaSharon Larnia: im Sure there has to be balloons aroud here that do that
    Wol Euler: heheeh
SophiaSharon Larnia: yes :) or something IItough, i dunno the language
    SophiaSharon Larnia: II touch
Wol Euler: interesting idea, I like it.
Fael Illyar: oh my, big plans :)
SophiaSharon Larnia: thinking of what hairs to wear with it lol
Wol Euler: my dears, I must leave you, I'm falling asleep at my desk.
    SophiaSharon Larnia: bye Wol :)
Wol Euler: goodnight all, take care.
Archmage Atlantis: Well, I only have 1 hour left for a line dance at a good bar
Archmage Atlantis: So I will follow Wol's example
    SophiaSharon Larnia: bye Arch
Archmage Atlantis: It'ss been fun......actual, real fun ::)))
Fael Illyar: I'll go as well :)
Fael Illyar: have fun everyone :)
    SophiaSharon Larnia: bye Fael :))
    Calvino Rabeni: Goodbye
Calvino Rabeni: I"m going to return to my store-room, see you later :)
    --BELL--
    Calvino Rabeni: Stay dry, Alfred
    SophiaSharon Larnia: bye Calvino :)
