The Guardian for this meeting was Agatha Macbeth. The comments are by Agatha Macbeth. I sat alone for about twenty minutes, then Bruce arrived.

    Agatha Macbeth: Hello Brucie :)
    Agatha Macbeth: and Blub
    Bruce Mowbray: Hello, aggers!
    Agatha Macbeth: Are you well?
Bruce Mowbray: Blub waves a friendly fin.
    Agatha Macbeth smiles
Bruce Mowbray: I am prety good, yes - and thanks you.
    Agatha Macbeth: Great
Agatha Macbeth: always good to hear
Bruce Mowbray: I bought a wheelchair this week and seem to have a whole new sense of liberation with that.
    Agatha Macbeth: Wow
Bruce Mowbray: Yes --- I can trtavel again!
    Bruce Mowbray: travel*
Agatha Macbeth: The idea of a wheelchair as 'liberation' is an interesting concept :)
Bruce Mowbray: Well, due to lumbar vertebrae problems, I can't walk very far or stand very long (airports, museums)....
Bruce Mowbray: so, this will enable me to do that...
Agatha Macbeth: Most people would tend to think of it as the total opposite...
    Agatha Macbeth: That's good
Bruce Mowbray: and it is VERY light. . . on 16 mounts.
    Bruce Mowbray: pounds*
Agatha Macbeth: Interesting how our perpectives differ as circumstances change
Bruce Mowbray: so I can carry it along easily -- on airplanes, up stairways. . .
Bruce Mowbray: and it bundles up into a compact package. COOL!
Agatha Macbeth: Good thing more places are wheelchair friendly nowadays
Agatha Macbeth: Used to be a nightmare
    Bruce Mowbray: indeed.
Bruce Mowbray: But even in the non-accessible place, I can simply pipck it up and carry it...
    Bruce Mowbray: so very convenient.
Agatha Macbeth: Maybe people are starting to think a bit more (hopefully)
Agatha Macbeth: Well I'm very glad to hear it
Bruce Mowbray: IN USA, we have federal laws requiring wheelchair accessibility in all public buildings and areas.
Agatha Macbeth: Amazing how we take things like mobility for granted
Agatha Macbeth: until we lose it
Bruce Mowbray: I am developing a lot of empathy for physically disabled folks, let me tell you!
    Agatha Macbeth: Indeed!
Bruce Mowbray: Have you ridden the new monorail yet?
Agatha Macbeth: Only the old version, haven't been through the tunnel yet
Bruce Mowbray: (the non-dual rail, sry)
    Agatha Macbeth: Must try it
Agatha Macbeth waves to Mr Observer
Bruce Mowbray: I rode it easrlier this morning . . . a great ride!
Agatha Macbeth: Stormy is getting ambitious :P
Bruce Mowbray: He's done a great job with this one!
Agatha Macbeth: Well Storm is Storm, eh?
    --BELL--0730
    Bruce Mowbray: yeppers.
Agatha Macbeth: Looks like a quiet afternoon
    Agatha Macbeth: (or morning)
Bruce Mowbray: I have not been able to find the Anniveratree. . . thought the non-dual rail might help. . . but still can't find it.
Agatha Macbeth: Oh, it's pretty much in front of the museum
    Bruce Mowbray: ahhhh.
Agatha Macbeth: on the open space near my plot
Bruce Mowbray: Then I should take the non-dual there and get off that the stop, and look for it.
    Agatha Macbeth: and Pema's hut
    Bruce Mowbray: cool.
Agatha Macbeth: Actually I think it's a really good place for it
Bruce Mowbray: have there been a lot of offerings to the tree yet?
    Agatha Macbeth: Some, I think
    Bruce Mowbray: Hmmmm.
Agatha Macbeth: I must try and get my leaf done
Bruce Mowbray: Is everyone doing leaves?
Bruce Mowbray: There was some talk about putting different sorts of offerings on the tree... like chairs, etc.
    Agatha Macbeth: Leaves, flowers
    Bruce Mowbray: kk.
Agatha Macbeth: Yes objects too I believe
Agatha Macbeth: Bleu did a tutorial
Agatha Macbeth: but it was in voice so can't reference it
    Bruce Mowbray: same here ---
    Agatha Macbeth nods
Bruce Mowbray: although my super-fast new satellite system was just installed here at the farm on Friday---
Bruce Mowbray: so I think I'll be able to do voice now.
    Bruce Mowbray: YAYYY!
Agatha Macbeth: If it's not too complicated I should manage :)
    Agatha Macbeth: Oh, wonderful
Agatha Macbeth: Have you not been able to hear at all?
Bruce Mowbray: yes -- after being in SL for three years, I might finally be able to hear and speak.
    Agatha Macbeth: Wow
Bruce Mowbray: nope, not before now.
Bruce Mowbray: and I'm not even sure whether I KNOW.
Bruce Mowbray: gotta go to Echo Island and try it out.
Agatha Macbeth: That really *is* isolation
    Agatha Macbeth: Echo Beach :p
Agatha Macbeth: I love that song
Bruce Mowbray: yeah, no Happy Hour for me . . . in previous days, but I might now become a party animal!
Agatha Macbeth: Does Yaku still do them?
Bruce Mowbray: Yes, there was one this past Friday.
Agatha Macbeth: Unfortunately it clashes with Science Friday for me
Bruce Mowbray: but, alas, my new system had not been completely installed yet.
    Agatha Macbeth nods
Bruce Mowbray: I am also enthusiastic about being able to hear lectures and live instruction, etc.....
Agatha Macbeth: Well it's good to see the 21st century caught up with you :p
Agatha Macbeth: Oh right, of course
Bruce Mowbray looks around for his Science Friday t-shirt
Agatha Macbeth: It's amazing how much you miss when you have no voice
Agatha Macbeth: Again, something we take for granted!
Bruce Mowbray: I'm looking forward to discovering how much I've been missing.
    Agatha Macbeth: Yep
Bruce Mowbray: I think I'll go check out the Anniversatree before the Guardian meeting starts.
    Agatha Macbeth: Ok, great
Bruce Mowbray: See you later, then!
Agatha Macbeth: If you can't find it IM me
    Bruce Mowbray: kk. THANKS!
    Agatha Macbeth waves
Agatha Macbeth watches Bruce head off into the distance
Agatha Macbeth: Looks like I scared off Mr Observer too! :p
    --BELL--0745
    Bleu Oleander: hey Agatha :)
    Agatha Macbeth: Hello Bleu :)
Bleu Oleander: have you taken a ride on Storm's train?
Agatha Macbeth: Sorry, was just browsing through skins for the viewer
Agatha Macbeth: Not the new route
    Bleu Oleander: very nice
Agatha Macbeth: been on the original tho (pre-crash)
    Bleu Oleander: :)
Agatha Macbeth: Bruce was just here, he went off to take a look at it
Bleu Oleander: hey where's your crown?
Agatha Macbeth: Oh I don't bother, too laggy
Bleu Oleander: laggy crown ... :)
Agatha Macbeth: It takes me half an hour to move round this part of the village
    Bleu Oleander: really?
Agatha Macbeth: Yep, I had to use an old machine
Agatha Macbeth: cos primary packed up
    Bleu Oleander: ah ok
Agatha Macbeth: With a five year old Packard bell, you don't tend to expect miracles :p
    Bleu Oleander: or crowns :P
    Agatha Macbeth: Indeed
Agatha Macbeth: I gave Aph some help the other day and could hardly move
    Bleu Oleander: aww
Agatha Macbeth: Shall we move to the hall?
    Bleu Oleander: yes, sure
Agatha Macbeth: Liz just came on
