Nymf Hathaway: Good morning Gaya :)
Gaya Ethaniel: Good morning Nymf :)
Gaya Ethaniel: How are you today?
Nymf Hathaway: Doing well, first coffee and you?
Gaya Ethaniel: Well thank you :)
Gaya Ethaniel: How is your 9 sec practices coming along?
Nymf Hathaway: Nicely...getting better at it everyday and yours?
Gaya Ethaniel: mm ... bell on if I'm working on my computer. Otherwise, meditate most of the time I'd say.
    Gaya Ethaniel: I think I'm becoming a bore ...
    Nymf Hathaway: Why?
Gaya Ethaniel: heheheheh, would like to loosen up a bit, enjoy life more.
Nymf Hathaway: ah I have the same issue :)
    Gaya Ethaniel: ah :)
    Nymf Hathaway: tooo serious
    Gaya Ethaniel nods.
Gaya Ethaniel: I've decided to try out something though - treat RL like SL and have fun.
Nymf Hathaway: That's a nice thought
Nymf Hathaway: I decided to laugh more in day to day life
    Gaya Ethaniel: :)
Nymf Hathaway: I do not know why but everything in life...gets a serious reaction from me :(
Gaya Ethaniel nods. I know what you mean.
Gaya Ethaniel: Well it's allowed, it's ok anyway :)
Nymf Hathaway: yes I have spend many thoughts about it...I understand why people tell me; please laugh more...its a joke :) but my initial reaction is always serious
Gaya Ethaniel giggles. You have same thing as me!
Nymf Hathaway: well...nice to meet you Gaya! :)
    Gaya Ethaniel: Thank you :)
Nymf Hathaway: and thanks for the serious friendship :)
Gaya Ethaniel: I often provide much entertainment being gullible that way.
    Gaya Ethaniel nods nods :)
    Nymf Hathaway: same here
Gaya Ethaniel: So I'm guessing it's not a bad thing heheheh
    Gaya Ethaniel: Hello Visitor :)
Nymf Hathaway: I say it isn't...since we are both nice people :)
    Gaya Ethaniel: :)
    Nymf Hathaway: Hello Visitor :)
    Visitor: hi
Gaya Ethaniel: Have you been here before Visitor? Wondering if you need an introduction to our group.
    Visitor: no
Gaya Ethaniel: We meet here 4 times a day 1 am, 7 am, 1 pm and 7 pm, discussing our experiences regarding the nature of reality.
Nymf Hathaway: well that was rude
Gaya Ethaniel: Play as Being sessions are recorded on our wiki http://playasbeing.wik.is/
Nymf Hathaway: he is gone dear
    Gaya Ethaniel shrugs.
Nymf Hathaway: Not even a newbie...from them you can expect such
    Gaya Ethaniel nods.
Gaya Ethaniel: Not much in his profile so I'm not surprised :)
    Nymf Hathaway: indeed
Nymf Hathaway: Do you know the series Bones?
Gaya Ethaniel: No, what is it?
Nymf Hathaway: oh you would like it...its about a lady who works at the Jeffersonian as a bone-specialist (forgot the real name for it).... but she is soooooo serious in life its hilarious, even for us :)
    Gaya Ethaniel: ah :)
Nymf Hathaway: you get the chance to see how you yourself come across by it :)
Gaya Ethaniel looks up on Internet ...
Nymf Hathaway: yes you should...if you can download it; do!
Gaya Ethaniel: Looks like a fun series :)
Nymf Hathaway: yes it very much is, she has a great team...some geeks :) but I like her the most...she is even more serious than us :) if that's possible
    Gaya Ethaniel: :)
Nymf Hathaway: seeing it with her... I noticed it is due to the fact she knows too much...so what's a joke for someone...is a check up in her brain for facts for her
    Gaya Ethaniel: ah ...
Gaya Ethaniel: Do you think it's due to how she looks at the life?
Nymf Hathaway: yes she is very clinic... as a Vulcan from Star Trek
Gaya Ethaniel: ok ... I get it.
Nymf Hathaway: she looks at life by facts, science, things we already know
Nymf Hathaway: doesn't believe in love :) although I think that's changing :)
    Gaya Ethaniel: :)
Gaya Ethaniel: I am fond of Vulcans though :)
    Nymf Hathaway: same here :)
    Gaya Ethaniel: :)
Nymf Hathaway: and Seven was great as well
Gaya Ethaniel: Seven? She was a Borg I thought.
    Nymf Hathaway: yes
Nymf Hathaway: struggling between Borg and human feelings
Gaya Ethaniel: ah ... yes it was classic.
Gaya Ethaniel: I think I am very human ... not at all clinical but just a bit too serious :(
Nymf Hathaway: same here... I am interested in different ways of looking at life though... I can understand why people like Bones are who they are... the brain is interesting
    Gaya Ethaniel thinks.
Nymf Hathaway: Emotional people can scare me ... not those who can easily say they love you...but the ones who get carried away
Gaya Ethaniel: heh :) I can be quite emotional.
    Nymf Hathaway: Like drama?
Gaya Ethaniel: mm ... rarely but I can be yes.
    Nymf Hathaway: :)))
    Gaya Ethaniel giggles.
Nymf Hathaway: smiles at the little rabbit next to her
    Gaya Ethaniel: :)
Gaya Ethaniel: But I have to say living in UK has got to me ... I'm more reserved than I was when I first came here.
Nymf Hathaway: oh I can imagine... English are more uptight...where do you come from?
    Gaya Ethaniel: Korea S :)
Gaya Ethaniel: Should have gone to Caribbean instead :)
Nymf Hathaway: wow that must be a change
    Gaya Ethaniel: mhm :)
    Nymf Hathaway: yes :))
Nymf Hathaway: wow Gaya what a big change
Gaya Ethaniel: I am fond of the English though :)
Nymf Hathaway: Oh I can fully understand that... I like the culture and people as well
Nymf Hathaway: as their history and myths :)
Gaya Ethaniel: Some stuff ... good and some not so good but that's how it is with other countries I'm sure.
    Nymf Hathaway: and humor :)
Nymf Hathaway: sure but it is a fully different society I suspect...even if Korea (south) is very modern
    Gaya Ethaniel: Yes totally different!
Gaya Ethaniel: I underestimated cultural differences.
Nymf Hathaway: Most people who emigrate it seems... and hold on to the things they know from their country of origin. Some even hold on harder than the ones they left behind...in religion, culture and language.
Nymf Hathaway: Did you go alone or with others?
    Gaya Ethaniel: Alone :)
    Nymf Hathaway: wow big step
    Gaya Ethaniel: [to study]
    Nymf Hathaway: respect :)
    Nymf Hathaway: nice
    Gaya Ethaniel smiles. Thanks.
Gaya Ethaniel: I'd say I became more interested in Korea after I left it.
Nymf Hathaway: smiles that's what I meant
Gaya Ethaniel: It's not difficult to realise that I was different :)
    Nymf Hathaway: Of course
Nymf Hathaway: Do you miss Korea?
Gaya Ethaniel: Possibly that was the reason/motivation to look further where I come from.
Gaya Ethaniel: Yes and no :)
Gaya Ethaniel: Like Murakami Haruki said, once the plant is out of the pot [bonsai], it's not possible to re-pot it again.
    Nymf Hathaway: Great methaphor
Gaya Ethaniel: I like his writings :)
Gaya Ethaniel: I relate much to what he says/
Nymf Hathaway: I will look him up :)
    Gaya Ethaniel: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Haruki_Murakami
    Nymf Hathaway: Thanks :)
    Gaya Ethaniel: :)
Nymf Hathaway: Interesting, I bookmarked him :)
    Gaya Ethaniel: :)
Gaya Ethaniel: I will buy some more of his books next time I'm in Korea.
Gaya Ethaniel: Korean and Japanese languages are very similar so better read them in Korean than English :)
Nymf Hathaway: Nice, you have the chance to get back once in a while
Gaya Ethaniel: Yes to visit families etc :)
Gaya Ethaniel: Just going back what you said before.
Gaya Ethaniel: I think in some countries where it is more difficult to assimilate, immigrants hold onto their cultural heritage more and mix less.
Gaya Ethaniel: 'Young' countries like America, people mix more readily.
Nymf Hathaway: yes the country in which the culture is totally different from yours I suspect
Nymf Hathaway: well America isn't New York.... America itself isn't very open minded
Gaya Ethaniel: But people tend to call themselves 'American' much more readily than Europe I think.
    Nymf Hathaway: yes
Gaya Ethaniel: This is also same in Korea. There are a lot of immigration happening in Korea from other Asian countries. They aren't/can't mix very easily with Koreans.
Nymf Hathaway: I was shocked by an old American lady...she got to say what she thought of Obama being the president and she said; a black man in the white house...where is America going too
Nymf Hathaway: yes it is a global thing
Gaya Ethaniel nods. I was really surprised by the election. My view on America changed a lot since then really.
Nymf Hathaway: By his election..or the responses from Americans?
Gaya Ethaniel: The election result - Obama became the president.
Nymf Hathaway: I agree fully :)
Nymf Hathaway: Some do not know it yet; but it was the best thing for global politics
Gaya Ethaniel: I thought it'd happen at least a decade later when black and/or Hispanic part of the demography starts dominating the American population.
    Nymf Hathaway: smiles, logic
Gaya Ethaniel: I was prejudiced against the white people :(
Nymf Hathaway: well earth has a long history of discriminating people
    Gaya Ethaniel nods.
Nymf Hathaway: the fact we have boundaries... really strange. Like Lennon already said, but so true.
    Nymf Hathaway: Its ONE planet
Gaya Ethaniel: You mean national boundaries?
    Nymf Hathaway: yes
    Nymf Hathaway: Humans are possessive
    Gaya Ethaniel nods.
    Gaya Ethaniel: And competitive :)
Nymf Hathaway: yes...which is great in sports and development but not for cultures
Gaya Ethaniel: I've got more than you. Mine is mine and yours is also mine heheheh
    Nymf Hathaway: hahahhahahhahaha
Gaya Ethaniel: I'm not sure if we can have that competitive nature in something and not others.
Nymf Hathaway: maybe make it a choice
Nymf Hathaway: we aren't the first humans on earth anymore...if I am right we developed a bit :)
    Gaya Ethaniel: :)
Gaya Ethaniel: Maybe they will surprise me again, let's see :)
Nymf Hathaway: I hope so :)
    Gaya Ethaniel: :)
Nymf Hathaway: a friend was pointing out to me I always expect the best from people...while the most people just aren't... that was an eye opener for me
    Gaya Ethaniel: That's a good thing :)
Nymf Hathaway: yes and needed... it hurt me a lot :(
Gaya Ethaniel: As long as you don't get too disappointed.
Nymf Hathaway: that's a question of seeking balance
    Gaya Ethaniel nods.
Gaya Ethaniel: Or ... I suggest dropping that expectation.
Nymf Hathaway: of people being good you mean?
    Gaya Ethaniel: mhm
Gaya Ethaniel: It's easier on you if you do drop it I suspect.
Nymf Hathaway: it isn't even an expectation... it's something I do without thinking really
Gaya Ethaniel: You will see it one of these days ... it is a choice made by you.
Nymf Hathaway: For a really long time I truly believed people are here to improve themselves
    Nymf Hathaway: oke :)
Gaya Ethaniel: Or a standard you have in mind ...
Nymf Hathaway: yes I think that
Nymf Hathaway: but that can shift as well
    Gaya Ethaniel nods.
Gaya Ethaniel: I don't really know why people are here ...
Gaya Ethaniel: I also try to let people to be ... it isn't easy I know.
Nymf Hathaway: Still thinks improvement but that exclude majority so that's not right either
Gaya Ethaniel: Some too busy to survive Nymf :)
Nymf Hathaway: oh yes... I fully feel for those and wasn't thinking of them
Gaya Ethaniel: ah there goes the bell!
Gaya Ethaniel: Time for me to get back to RL. Nice talking to you again Nymf. Have a good week :)
Nymf Hathaway: Wishing you the same
    Gaya Ethaniel: Thanks :)
Nymf Hathaway: and thank you for the nice conversation
    Gaya Ethaniel: Thank you :)
