The Guardian for this meeting was Fox Monacular. The comments are by Fox Monacular.

    Fox Monacular: Hi Eos
    Eos Amaterasu: Hi Fox
Fox Monacular: It's my first guardian session tonight
    Eos Amaterasu: Oh, congrats!
Fox Monacular: I just learned how to claim a session with the logger:)
Eos Amaterasu: Just by touching it
Fox Monacular: yes, I just told it my email address and got confirmation, so it should work
Eos Amaterasu: I like this little cycle of software, scripts, helping us talk and be together
Fox Monacular: yes, definitely:) it's really quite extraordinary... I tried explaining it to my grandpa
Eos Amaterasu: How did you do that, what language did you use?
Fox Monacular: I was just showing it to him on the computer... but to him really it all sounded like a transmission from another planet
    Eos Amaterasu: :-)
Eos Amaterasu: It is in a way
Fox Monacular: but then I was trying to imagine being in a university and not using an email or computerised library catalogues
Fox Monacular: you know old school library with cards.... I have no clue how to use that
Eos Amaterasu: like those Superman comic book scenes where there's a whole miniature city in a glass case
    Fox Monacular: :)
Eos Amaterasu: Fox, you have no face :-)
Fox Monacular: yeah... sometimes it's complicated to drink tea
Eos Amaterasu: I guess the face is one of our most prominent identity brandings
Eos Amaterasu: we "face" the world
Fox Monacular: yes, and even the slightest 'deformities' stigmatize the individual
Fox Monacular: it's better to have no legs than a strange face...
Fox Monacular: we 'read' other people's faces too
Eos Amaterasu: probably a strange face threatens my comfort in my own
Fox Monacular: yes, I guess so
Fox Monacular: or perhaps it is hard to read into a strange face
Eos Amaterasu: the medium, the strangeness, becomes too much the message
    --BELL--
Fox Monacular: most likely an erroneous message too
Eos Amaterasu: the 9 secs can be like losing face
Fox Monacular: face also reflects time :)
Eos Amaterasu: you can't hold on to your identity pieces, whether they be strange or conventional
Eos Amaterasu: Fox, how does face reflect time - can you say mre?
Fox Monacular: on one's face you can see how much times passed since birth, but also sometimes time he's been awake/asleep
Fox Monacular: I prefer not to look in the mirror early in the morning
    Fox Monacular: :)
Eos Amaterasu: In SL you would just see a mirror?
    Fox Monacular: or a pool
    Fox Monacular: Hi Threedee
    Eos Amaterasu: Hi 3D!
Threedee Shepherd: hi, I thought my replacement would be here tonight
    Fox Monacular: that's me!
Eos Amaterasu: said the fox to the lion
Threedee Shepherd: Thanks, I appreciate it. I can't stay as I am in the middle elsewhere
    Eos Amaterasu: ciao bella
Fox Monacular: sure, it's my pleasure
    Threedee Shepherd: :)
Fox Monacular: what did you mean by not holding on to the identity?
Eos Amaterasu likes the phrase, "I am in the middle elsewhere"
    Fox Monacular: yes:)
Eos Amaterasu: Oh, that holding on to any piece of you becomes more visible in tthe 9, 90 secs
Eos Amaterasu: and so is naturally somewhat let go of
Eos Amaterasu: so you're not floating in what was your identity
Eos Amaterasu: but in some kind of openness, sometimes sans you
Eos Amaterasu: "in the middle now here"
Fox Monacular: right, ideally, when you identify with the being
Fox Monacular: but I find it very hard... it seems that for me being is still a conceptual thing
Eos Amaterasu: it might become, or maybe does become, more real through losing
Eos Amaterasu: having to let go
Eos Amaterasu: that's real, but lletting to into openness
    Eos Amaterasu: letting go
Eos Amaterasu: Would you like to experiment with any particular approach to the 90 secs?
Fox Monacular: yes, I understand it on some intuitive level
Fox Monacular: what do you mean? what kind of experiment?>
Eos Amaterasu: How would you phrase (in a few words, or 1 sentence), how to approach the 90 secs?
    Fox Monacular: hmmm...
    --BELL--
    Eos Amaterasu likes the hmmmm
Fox Monacular: I would say one has to relax his mind... and see what happens
Fox Monacular: how wold you phrase it?
Eos Amaterasu: mmmm, but what happened this time?
Eos Amaterasu: I felt a little anxiety, but then also relaxation, some well being, some humor "with" things
Fox Monacular: ok, I felt a little agitated, remembered a few things I need to do tomorrow... and thought I heard my baby wake up, so I got up to see, but she was asleep
Fox Monacular: although I tried to just let go...
    Eos Amaterasu thinks, sweet
Fox Monacular: I think I approach 9/90 secs a lot like I approach meditation
    Eos Amaterasu: Hi Stevenaia
    Fox Monacular: Hi Stevenaia
    stevenaia Michinaga: hello
Fox Monacular: you are dressed warmer than usual, is it cold where you are?
stevenaia Michinaga: someone borrowed my Avatar and dressed me for the changing season
stevenaia Michinaga: ever loan out yourself and become someone else?
    Eos Amaterasu: speaking of identity!
    Fox Monacular: seriously:)
stevenaia Michinaga: an interesting experience, strangely enough
Fox Monacular: there is a tv series on that... dollhouse
Eos Amaterasu: you mean you get someone else's skin and clothes?
stevenaia Michinaga: no, you sign on as a trusted friend
Eos Amaterasu: and you can get your name "there"?
stevenaia Michinaga: if you choose to
stevenaia Michinaga: sort of like loaning your soul to someone :)
Eos Amaterasu: So who are you now?
    Eos Amaterasu: (koan)
    stevenaia Michinaga: :)
    Fox Monacular: mu!
stevenaia Michinaga: it;s unusual enough to not be sure what to do, do you tr to be "that" person or an out of place "you"
Eos Amaterasu: hmm... similar to RL/SL issues
Fox Monacular: right, I felt that way when I first created an avatar here... I wasn't sure how to behave in a virtual world
stevenaia Michinaga: also suggests an sence of trust
    Fox Monacular: yes
stevenaia Michinaga: you don;t loan your soul to just anyone, after all
Eos Amaterasu: sounds like a romantic novel
Fox Monacular: loan your soul with a high interest rate
stevenaia Michinaga: there are a few movies, like Big, and the one with Jamie Lee Curtus
stevenaia Michinaga: changing with her daughter
Fox Monacular: I'll be away a sec, my baby woke up...
    Eos Amaterasu: :-)
    stevenaia Michinaga: ok
Eos Amaterasu: "in another time's forgotten space, youre eyes looked from your mother's face"
Fox Monacular: ok, my husband's there, it seems to be under control
Fox Monacular: where is that quote from , Eos?
stevenaia Michinaga: a child under control, you must be new parents :)
Fox Monacular: yes, she's 1 year old
stevenaia Michinaga: there is no such thing
Eos Amaterasu: "Franklin's Tower", a song by the Grateful Dead
    --BELL--
Fox Monacular: no, I meant situation is under control... like I don't have to run to her when he's there:)
stevenaia Michinaga: kind of like thinking you control your cat
Fox Monacular: I would not claim controling my baby... I can't control my own thoughts:)
    stevenaia Michinaga: :)
    Eos Amaterasu: :-)
Eos Amaterasu: maybe that's the easy way to let them go :-)
stevenaia Michinaga: nods, mine is 18
Fox Monacular: ouch, are you surviving it well?
Fox Monacular: I remember myself at 18...
stevenaia Michinaga: done, survived High school
stevenaia Michinaga: off to college :)
Fox Monacular: to another city? or will stay close?
stevenaia Michinaga: local college, now he jsut sleeps ehre
    stevenaia Michinaga: and eats
    stevenaia Michinaga: and does laundry
    Eos Amaterasu: :-)
    Eos Amaterasu: !
stevenaia Michinaga: but we still get to scream when the leaves thet v on all night
Fox Monacular: yes, I remember that very well... wan't too long ago for me:)
Fox Monacular: my parents would say "you do what you want of course, but if you come home late we'll stay up, wait and worry"
    Eos Amaterasu: :-0
Fox Monacular: some tough choices in the middle of undergraduate parties:)
Fox Monacular: and then I just moved out
    stevenaia Michinaga: nods
Fox Monacular: but now I have a baby, and we decided that we shouldn't have a tv at home...
stevenaia Michinaga: the people I have know (relatives) who did not have one , their children were much better off
Fox Monacular: we didn't have a tv with my boyfriend anyway... I find commercials aggravating... but now in the age of flat screen computer monitors..
stevenaia Michinaga: although when pupular culture questions become extra credit questions in school, and you children don;t ahve a clue who spongebob is, parents tend to get annoyd
Fox Monacular: you don't neet a tv when you can watch everything commercial free from internet:)
Fox Monacular: yes, I can see that
Fox Monacular: for now my baby only watches russian cartoons
stevenaia Michinaga: are you in russa fox?
Fox Monacular: I'm in Monreal, in Canada, but I am russian... moved with my parents when I was 18, right after high school
stevenaia Michinaga: Montreal is a vey nice city, I go there yearly to visit friends
Fox Monacular: oh great! yes, it's nice and multicultural
    Eos Amaterasu: Luv Montreal
Fox Monacular: you've been here too, Eos?
Eos Amaterasu: I grew up there and nearby (Granby)
Fox Monacular: cool, I know there is a zoo there:)
    Eos Amaterasu: Yes :-)
Eos Amaterasu: Used to have an elephant
    Fox Monacular: not anymore?
Eos Amaterasu: Bu the best part was that the park in the center of town had a pond with beavers
Fox Monacular: my parents' friends tool us to Granby zoo shortly after we arrived in Canada... but all I remember was hiding behind bushes to smoke
Fox Monacular: I was 18... so I didn't feel like hanging out at a zoo with my parents and their friends:))
    --BELL--
Eos Amaterasu: Midnight here... turning into a pumpkin (darn, where's that animation?)
stevenaia Michinaga: I'm sure you can find one
Eos Amaterasu: Must go, bonne nuit!
    Fox Monacular: Bonne nuit, Eos
    stevenaia Michinaga: night Eos
stevenaia Michinaga: are you guardian tonight?
Fox Monacular: yeah, it's my first time
Fox Monacular: do I have to tell anything to the logger to stop recording?
stevenaia Michinaga: f you wnat to post the log, I can help if you ahve any questions
Fox Monacular: I'll get it by e-mail, right? and then I can log in pab wiki to post it..? is this how it is done?
stevenaia Michinaga: we can either both leave or you can click on the logger and stop it, it will post the weblink to the communicate window
stevenaia Michinaga: did you give it your email address?
Fox Monacular: yes, and it did the test e-mail
    stevenaia Michinaga: :)
