Conversation was starting slowly and I happened to remember something that had me interested so I asked.
Fael Illyar: Pia, you mentioned increased appreciation for things the other day, anything new there?
Pia Iger: another example.
Pia Iger: when I do 9 sec, close my eyes, I can feel more sharply how my hands are touching each other, how it feels that my hair fall on my face. Just more sentitive, then appreciate that how bein alive is like.
Pia Iger: feel the pulse of life, which we normally donot notice anymore.
Fael Illyar: Ah, I think I finally understand what you mean :)
Faenik: why not?
Pia Iger: then I think: wow this is being alive feels like, and it won’t last forever, One day I won’t feel my hands, or those pulse…
Fael Illyar: So far, I’ve been aware of my body more than usual when doing the explorations.
Fael Illyar: Although during today’s meditation I somehow got past that into state that felt closer to … nothing.
Pia Iger: oh, nothing, sounds scary to me.
Fael Illyar: It sounds scary but isn’t really.
Moon Fargis: itsnot “nothig like nothing” its more “nothink like everything” … i guess
Fael Illyar: my body was still there but my attention was on nothing, not on the body
Faenik: could be
Pia Iger: and you can keep your attention on nothing? seems hard to grasp nothing, or stay with nothing
Fael Illyar: it’s more not grasping the body than keeping my attention anywhere.
Fael Illyar: not grasping anything that is
Pia Iger: anywhere, that is easy for me to understand.
Pia Iger: so how do you feel, closer to nothing? peaceful?
Fael Illyar: Yes, very.

Fael Illyar: Although, strangely, after I got there, I stopped meditating after a short while. even though a part of me was reluctant and I still sort of feel like I want to go back to being nothing.
Fael Illyar: For some reason I’m also resisting this want now.
Moon Fargis: hmm maybe it scared you a bit?
Pia Iger: Moon, you have more experience, what do you think of the resistance?
Moon Fargis: bein nothing can be scary sometimes
Fael Illyar: scared … I guess that fits.
Moon Fargis: especially when your eyes begin to see things wich arent there in open state becasue the brein doesnt know what todo now
Fael Illyar: that’d explain the whiteness
Moon Fargis: well last time i did zazen (always do it with open eyes) i sthought i saw the face of buddha hehe but thats hw brain works it was busy the whole day
Pia Iger: I keep feeling impressed that Fael progress so fast.

Pia Iger: Fael, you are very focused student, having so much experience in a short time. very unusual here.
Fael Illyar: I’ve been trying to be aware of myself and my motives and thoughts for years. Without meditation. That probably has something to do with it.
Pia Iger: Ah, it is our time to explore more here.
