A quiet time. I sat on my own for a while until a newcomer, Laya, arrived. We chatted about SL for a while.

I thought I had better explain what the place was about.

Quilty Bookmite: This is the meeting place of a group called Play As Being. I am the guardian for this chat.

Quilty Bookmite: Play As Being is a sort of experiment. It is based around a practice where you just "stop" for 9 seconds every 15 minutes.
Quilty Bookmite: No religious connection although I myself am a Zen Buddhist.
Quilty Bookmite: Other have very different backgrounds.
Quilty Bookmite: The website exlains a lot more.

Laya Wirefly: what is the purpose of stopping for a while every 15 minutes?
Quilty Bookmite: Well, partly it's just to see what happens. Most of us lead hectic lives and don't really take notice of what goes on around us.
Laya Wirefly: are you talking rl or SL?
Quilty Bookmite: Just stopping, possibly meditating but it's not that specific, can be interesting.

Quilty Bookmite: It depends on what you think love means.
Quilty Bookmite: I think it is talking about a deeper love of all things.
Quilty Bookmite: You can love all things despite the fact that they are not perfect and yet on a deper level they are all perfect.
