Susi Alcott: but know also such specially creative persons that has not sold anything of there gorgeous producitons

Susi Alcott: also knowin one singing healer, who's performances alwasy gives true healing to people

Adelene Dawner: I don't know about SL vs the rest of the internet, but the internet does make that kind of thing more likely - people with talent but no connections can still get their work out there where people can see it... word of mouth works better online than it does in traditional media.
Riddle Sideways: yes, networking seems more important
Susi Alcott: but still people dont 'help back' that he could quit the day time job and have good resting time too
Susi Alcott: thinking him specially because he worked so hard for people
Susi Alcott: that he nearly burned down himself
Susi Alcott: as he was asked to all possible kind of feasts
Susi Alcott: and sadly it's limited how many people can be on sim at the same time
Susi Alcott: so that's SL limit
Susi Alcott: but what he gives ; that is pirceless
Susi Alcott: so; all needed good do not take place via SL either
Susi Alcott: but thankfully some

Susi Alcott: been often thinking that it's simply cuz so many people still takes that good perople have all what they need
Susi Alcott: like all would dropp from 'heavens' to them

Riddle Sideways: we put ourselves in a digital reality
Susi Alcott: thinking also Adelenes genious mind to create things
Susi Alcott: and wishing to You Ade too that you would been 'helped back'

Adelene Dawner has it under control though - when she wants to do stuff, she does, and when she doesn't, she doesn't - feeling free to say 'no' is the bext way of avoiding burnout :)

Adelene Dawner: And most of the time when I'm making something I enjoy the act of making it, programming or no. :)

Susi Alcott: to be abel to enjoy of 'job' and 'work'
Riddle Sideways: would be interesting to do follow-up story on the guy that made the hulahoop

Susi Alcott: yes; not having any latest news
Riddle Sideways: the enjoyment of making things
Susi Alcott: but that much of his following years, that his invention didn't bring anything bad to him

Susi Alcott: as it's sometimes happened that too much 'help back' has changed the person and ones attitude to life

Riddle Sideways: a lot of little pleasures vs one big one after pain

Riddle Sideways: true, the arts are big in that paper
Pema Pera: and they have an "escape" section on Fridays :-)
Riddle Sideways: I think those people are very serious
Pema Pera: dress in black mostly

Pema Pera: but they commune! in subways
Pema Pera: no distinctions, all huddles together
Riddle Sideways: they hong their hornsa lot
Pema Pera: but don't lock horns
Riddle Sideways: some do on the hiway
Pema Pera: the subway culture is quite civilized
Riddle Sideways: really?
Pema Pera: no highways in Manhattan
Riddle Sideways: 8 lanes of parking lot
Pema Pera: I'd say so -- a big difference between LA and NY is that in NY you cannot avoid being crowded in a subway with people of very different cultures and race
Pema Pera: whereas in LA you are in yuor own car, your own fort
Pema Pera: makes for different race relations, I think
Riddle Sideways: those little things make for very different culture
Pema Pera: people helping the elderly get in, or mothers with young babies
Pema Pera: across race/culture lines
Susi Alcott: in case one stays only with that :)
Pema Pera: makes a big difference
Riddle Sideways: like that movie said: "they must Love each other so much, for so many to live together so close"

Riddle Sideways: some people go a long time without talking to others
Riddle Sideways: when they do get your ear
Riddle Sideways: they bend it for a long time

Riddle Sideways: I got to people watch in waiting areas several times
Riddle Sideways: large groups of people waiting for the same event
Riddle Sideways: some had to go reread the same sign over and over
Riddle Sideways: some just read a book
Riddle Sideways: some called others to report that they were bored

Susi Alcott: ah yes; some people have 'skill' to wait; some dont

Riddle Sideways: after waiting around in those little areas
Riddle Sideways: they would pair me up with the most interesting person
Riddle Sideways: and we would go sit together for a couple hours
Riddle Sideways: at first they would not talk
Pema Pera now beginning to wonder what the beginning of this story was . . . . .
Susi Alcott: maybe to observe people :)
Riddle Sideways: ah, some stories have no beginings
Riddle Sideways: probably no end either

Riddle Sideways: it is too easy to visit a place and say "same ol thing"
Riddle Sideways: so easy to live life as 'same of day'

Riddle Sideways: harder, but special to find the specialness of the day
Pema Pera: that's why "stopping" is so important
Riddle Sideways: yes, say every 15 min

Pema Pera: it's easy to ignore what is new about it . . . .
Pema Pera: to fall into a pattern . . . even a pattern of constant change
Susi Alcott: ...well...that I ment...as I'm not capabul to do so...
Susi Alcott: but such could bring me more peace...imo...
Pema Pera: I guess we all have patterns we fall into, I certainly have . . .
Susi Alcott: ah..thinking I still couldn't apressiate such....
Pema Pera: and stopping helps to see those patterns

Susi Alcott: thinking there's never been a same kind of day in my whole life....
Susi Alcott: but with one similarity; them changes 'all the time'
Susi Alcott: and yes; that can also be boring now and then
Riddle Sideways: that is the part we like about you

Pema Pera: but patterns don't require sameness -- you can continue the same patterns without realizing that you do, across every changing situations . . . .
Pema Pera: ?
Susi Alcott: well..as my 'pattern' as I know it, is chaos....
Susi Alcott: maybe there 'too many patterns' then to see....
Susi Alcott: well; many peopl have asked me "Who are you" that I have not been able to give the answer
Susi Alcott: ah
Pema Pera: I find that when I stop, and the more so the more I really stop, some patterns are showing themselves more clearly, sometimes painfully so, sometimes cheerfully so, and I am always grateful to find ways to see those -- not to suppress them, but to accept them and to live with them more lightly
Susi Alcott: sadly we shall be ejected
Pema Pera: balance is always such a challenge

Susi Alcott: maybe I went through all of me when I went through all of me and noticed that I am chaos
Susi Alcott: ah ...well...many people take chaos to be something bad
