The Guardian for this meeting was Riddle Sideways. The comments are by Riddle Sideways.  And I am so glad to edit this because my keyboard is getting worse and worse.

Hopefully Susi, Fefonz and Fael do not report that I edit this is make myself sound conherent.

Be aware (and scared), Riddle goes off (again) in the middle of this commentary.

    Riddle Sideways: Good Morning Susi
    Susi Alcott: Goor Morning Riddle
Riddle Sideways: please come join the "male avs in dresses club" :)
    Susi Alcott: oh
Susi Alcott: well...how does that happen ?
Riddle Sideways: we are the only ones here
Riddle Sideways: and we both wear skirts
Riddle Sideways: though they are called differently
    Susi Alcott: ah
    Susi Alcott: smiles
    Susi Alcott: thank you :)
    ...
Riddle Sideways: I was VERY proud when I earned the right to wear a hakama
    Susi Alcott: _/!\_
Riddle Sideways: but only wore it in the dojo
Riddle Sideways: then one day we had to change clothes in a place 2 blocks from the dojo camp
Riddle Sideways: I had to walk in public in a dress
    Riddle Sideways: it was ok
Riddle Sideways: I did not die of embrassement
    Susi Alcott: _/!\_
My studio wall has an old "Bloom County" cartoon of Opus being caught playing 'air guitar'.  The bubble dialog is "unfortunitly he did not die of fatal embrassment".
Riddle Sideways: I wonder about that expression
Susi Alcott: I understand it perfectly
Susi Alcott: thank you for sharing
Riddle Sideways: and that's what we do here, share stuff
Fefonz enters and there are welcomes all around.
    Riddle Sideways: good morning Fefonz
    Susi Alcott: _/!\_
    Susi Alcott: good morning Fefonz
    Fefonz Quan: HI Riddle, Susi
Riddle Sideways: I know it is not morning where you are, but I like writting that welcome
Riddle Sideways: "good evening" sounds like an exit phrase
    Susi Alcott: _/!\_
Fefonz Quan: in fact it is morning riddle :)
    Riddle Sideways: :]
Susi Alcott: and joyfull good morning brings the feeling of new good day
Susi Alcott: which we surely can 'make' to be any moment of the day
Riddle Sideways: many times I answer the phone no matter what time with a cheery "Good Morning"
Fefonz Quan: i like good evening too, mostly you get it after finishing the day job and heding home and to town to enjoy yourself
Riddle Sideways: it puts the caller on equal unbalence
Riddle Sideways: (and it tricks auto-dialers)
Riddle Sideways: telemarketers use a "hello, hello" signal to recognise real people
I never answer the phone with 2 hellos anymore.
Fefonz Quan: i think there was some SF story, where there was a malfunctioning robot that answered everything with "it is a beautiful norning somewhere for sure"
    Fefonz Quan: morning*
Riddle Sideways: ah, don't know that story
Riddle Sideways: and I like robot stories
Fefonz Quan: well that was a really small detail and the plot, somehow i remembered it.
[in my best FM classical radio station broadcasting voice] And here Ladies and Gentle-men we have just heard the introduction of the theme to the entire presentation. The austute listener will hear this melody replayed by the different instruments throughout the performance.  Many times the theme is only hinted at.
Fefonz Quan: But maybe it was from "tiger tiger" of Afred Baster, and that is one of the best
    Susi Alcott: good detail
    Susi Alcott: imo
Riddle Sideways: funny, how the little, in passing, details stick with us
Fefonz Quan: yes, it was like a little ze answer
    Fefonz Quan: zen*
    Susi Alcott: _/!\_
Riddle Sideways: many times the rest of the story, book, movie, play, etc. goes away
    Susi Alcott: good morning Fael
    Fefonz Quan: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Stars_My_Destination
    Beware spoiler alert.
Fael Illyar: Hi Susi, Riddle, Fefonz :)
    Riddle Sideways: Good Morning Fael
    Fefonz Quan: Hey Fael
[ed. 90 second silence upon Fael entering]  Note that Fefonz has time to regret publishing the link.
Riddle Sideways: 90 seconds is a long time
Riddle Sideways: not to say good morning during
Fael Illyar: funny how it breaks our habits if we try to follow it :)
Fefonz Quan: Riddle, i attached a link to the book, it is called "the star my destination", but on second thought i recommend NOT to read the link, since it reveals plot details. go for the book, and if you are SF fan, it is great
    Fefonz Quan: stars*
Riddle Sideways: thank you for the link and the spooler alert
Riddle Sideways: I really like sci fi short stories
Riddle Sideways: a quick altered thought generator

Fael should know that I am starting on book 7 of 11 in a very long 'wheel of time' series.
How many of us have a long series of book going. Plus, many one or three shortstory books.  Many of us secretly have TV serials, series, reruns and/or sports seasons that we follow.  Some waiting for next months edition of our secret passion series.
Maybe many of us have internet serials, fables, cartoons, comics, etc. we follow.
Or maybe some of us have search bots that seek out mined data on research projects that every few days report somebody somewhere is interested and publishing a tidbit.
How many short and long channels of attention do string along.

Fefonz Quan: on our days notions, it is a mdeiun-size story :)
    Fefonz Quan: medium*
Fefonz Quan: hey Fael, you got a cat on your shoulder!
Riddle Sideways: sci fi if a get medium to take semi-facts and extend them out into ...
Riddle Sideways: ahhhhh, Faenik... have not conversed in sooooo long
Riddle Sideways: earlier, we were mentioning small detail retention
Riddle Sideways: and Faenik's "could be" is one of them
    Fefonz Quan: could be
    Fefonz Quan: ;-)
Riddle Sideways: I think of Faenik when anybody in RL or SL says "could be"
Riddle Sideways: for years "could be" was Bugs Bunny
    Fael Illyar: it's originally a line I've myself used a lot :)
Fefonz Quan: well it is common in other languages too
Riddle Sideways: and is a simple phrase that can easily take on the tonal phrasing to mean many things
Oh Drat, Oh Darn, due to using the master recorder bot (that may slight other bots) Faenik's comments are not contained in the chat. :(
Fael Illyar: hmm... questioning "questioning" ...
Riddle Sideways: I have never heard Feanik's RL voice so don't know what it is really, so have to invent the vocal soundings
Riddle Sideways: and Yes, we/I am questioning questioning
    Susi Alcott: _/!\_
Riddle Sideways: one of the highest calling for us/me is to question questioning
Riddle Sideways: in my religion we answer all questions with a question
Riddle Sideways: first one to answer something, loses :)
    Susi Alcott: _/!\_
Fefonz Quan: that's my religion too :)
Riddle Sideways: fefonz, you mentioned zen thoughts. well, there are almost as many yiddish sayings for every occasion
Fefonz Quan: yep :). well, as a scholar i tend to answer questions soemtimes ;0
Susi Alcott: sometimes answer if the only option for somebody to get forward
    Susi Alcott: is
Riddle Sideways: sometimes I answer the question not asked
    Riddle Sideways: to move forward
    Susi Alcott: ty
Fefonz Quan: the problem with yiddish sayings is that they always sound better in yiddish :)
    Fefonz Quan: 42, anyone? :)
Susi Alcott: was my 'next' thought that how about such...as that happenes too
    Fael Illyar smiles.
Riddle Sideways: or 6 time 9, fefonz
    Fefonz Quan: 56, isn't it? :)
    Fefonz Quan: 54, oops
    Susi Alcott: :)
Riddle Sideways: yiddish sayings are really a neat vehicle to say anything you want and hide it by making a guteral noise word souning thing
    Fael Illyar: 7 times 6 I thought?
    Fefonz Quan: yep, me too
Riddle Sideways: 'could be', but I thought in book 5 (fo the increasingly innaccurate triogy) the question became what is 6 time 9

Intermission (for those that need this)...
You should ALL have read Douglas Adams' books (all of them) , but especially "Hitchhikers Guide to the Universe".
In a (seemingly) light manner he was able to play with the Beings that are us (and that supposed person next to you).
    Without spoiling much for you...
THE answer to Life, the Universe and Everything is ...
           '42'

    There you have it...

Now you can go about your life happy in the knowledge that you know it.
No more worrying and wasting thoughts on such.

    Well,
'Deep thought' the huge super computer that took 1,000 years to come up with the answer to Life, the Universe and Everything.  Explained that (and this is of upmost importance to this PaB group) it probably was not the 'answer' that ya'll were looking for.   It is the 'question' that is of more importance.

[Spoiler alert...   do not read this if you have not read the books]
Ford finds the 'question'.  It is 'what is 6 times 9.  And he says "I knew there was something fundamentally wrong".
    [end of spoiler]

That my dear PaB'ers is something we all can hang our hats on and whistle dixie until the cows come home.

One: what do you think all that meant?
Other: prolly had something to do with humour being a way to cut through
    One: Oh, you think so?

Fefonz Quan: i should go, time for RL :)
Fefonz Quan: (maybe i didn't get to book 5?))
    Susi Alcott: enjoy Fef
Fefonz Quan: have a great morning friends
Riddle Sideways: ok, bye now and read book 5
Fael Illyar: See you later Fefonz :)
Riddle Sideways: it answers almost nothing
    Fefonz Quan: :-)
    Fefonz Quan: _/!\_
Riddle Sideways: before PaB, sci fi seemed a really good place to loosen up my thinking
And now for something completely different.
Susi Alcott: hm...for long time I dont feel need to change the pillow
    Riddle Sideways: please explain more
Susi Alcott: you feel the balnce ?
Riddle Sideways: ah, you found 'your' spot
Susi Alcott: (usually fixing somebody's 'made hole')
Fael Illyar: do you mean we're sitting in balance here right now?
    Susi Alcott: _/!\_
Susi Alcott: was light unbalance but for some reason I didn't ask you to sit between Riddle and me
Fael Illyar: That would've been my initial choice but somehow I couldn't sit there.
Fael Illyar: so my hand went to this one, tried to move back to that one once more but just couldn't take that one so I sat here.
Fael Illyar: or well, strictly speaking, I could have but that'd have meant forcing it.
How many times must you force it and know that ain't right.
How many times will you go with it and find it right.

Riddle Sideways: there is an old line from a TV skit. "take any seat you like... remember everything maters in a psychologist office"
Riddle Sideways: another small phrase from youth that is stuck with me
Fael Illyar: let me guess, no-one dared to take any seat :)
Riddle Sideways: there is pause between the two parts of sentence. people would always head for any chair
Riddle Sideways: then stop and look
    Riddle Sideways: then stand
    Riddle Sideways: then sit
    Susi Alcott: rofl
    Fael Illyar: :D
Riddle Sideways: think it was Laugh In or smothers bros.
    Susi Alcott: _/!\_
Riddle Sideways: that is what we should many times do to the people around us
Riddle Sideways: not to harm/hurt them
Riddle Sideways: just to lighten them up
    Riddle Sideways: to unbalance them
Riddle Sideways: say "good morning" in the evening
    Susi Alcott: starpower
Fael Illyar: I do those sometimes :)
Riddle Sideways: say "fine" when they say hello
Fael Illyar: say something unexpected or unfitting

Out of the blue of the western sky...

    Susi explodes_001.png.

Riddle Sideways: ooooooooo that is beautiful
Riddle Sideways: as Susi just did
    Fael Illyar smiles
    Fael Illyar: hearts
    Susi explodes_002.png
    Riddle Sideways: explode spontaniously
Riddle Sideways: and not to be out done Fael spreads colors
    Fael Illyar: snow
    Riddle Sideways: ah
Fael Illyar: the two I have made so far :)
Riddle Sideways: Sl is like RL, I can't find the camera when I want it :]
Fael Illyar: you could learn the shortcut key for snapshot :)
    Fael Illyar: ctrl-shift-s
Riddle Sideways: hmmmm, yes I 'could'
Fael Illyar: takes the snapshot immediately.
Fael Illyar: no need to aim your mose first :)
Fael Illyar: at the snapshot button
Riddle Sideways: and I could learn that there is a camera in my phone
Fael Illyar: I've been slowly learning that :)
    Susi Alcott: _/!\_
Fael Illyar: it can even take video :)
    Fael Illyar: one hour
Fael Illyar: per shoot, I can store several of those in the memory though
Riddle Sideways: can the wiki host a cideo?
    Riddle Sideways: *videl
Fael Illyar: not directly but you can upload to youtube and somehow embed it in the wiki
    Riddle Sideways: *video :
Fael Illyar: so it looks like it's in the wiki
Fael Illyar: but really comes from youtube
Riddle Sideways: good, the bandwidth is on youTubes bill
    ...
Fael Illyar: on practical difference for anyone except you :
    Fael Illyar: no, not on
    Riddle Sideways: hahaha
Riddle Sideways: there are many who say I don't do practical
    Fael Illyar: :)
Fael Illyar: what do they mean by that?
Riddle Sideways: much of my RL is surrounded by practical factual strict everyday people
Riddle Sideways: I am viewed as always presenting the out of box view
Fael Illyar: why's that not practical?
Riddle Sideways: which many times is not the practical way in there eyes
Riddle Sideways: until they try it :)
    Fael Illyar: oh, ok :)
Riddle Sideways: I think it is always the practical way
Riddle Sideways: sometimes they don't see my correctness :)
Riddle Sideways: there are many that think they are right most of the time
Riddle Sideways: I have to remind them of other ways of thinking
    Riddle Sideways: like "my way"
    Susi Alcott: _/!\_
    Riddle Sideways: :)
btw: I find it halarious that people pay me.
Susi Alcott: was nice to meet
Fael Illyar: the out of ordinary one in their middle :)
Susi Alcott: wishing good time to both
    Riddle Sideways: yes,
Fael Illyar: See you later Susi :)
    Susi Alcott: _/!\_
    Riddle Sideways: see ya susi
    Susi Alcott: starpower
Fael Illyar: See you later Riddle :)
Riddle Sideways: sorry Fael, I ned to go too
Riddle Sideways: I think I overwrote the first snap shot
    Fael Illyar: probably not
    Fael Illyar: there's automatic numbering
    Riddle Sideways: oh good
    Riddle Sideways: was hoping that
Riddle Sideways: but, not to go fit too much into today
    Fael Illyar: :)
    Riddle Sideways: *need
Fael Illyar: See yo later, have fun :)
