Susi, Adams, and I talked a little of Spring, then technological and other kinds of leaps based on work that  happens underneath before it can be noticed in a logical way.

Eliza Madrigal: What are we thinking about this morning?
Adams Dubrovna: It is a bright sunshint morning here and it is lighting up lots of fresh greenery
Adams Dubrovna: that is in RL here
Eliza Madrigal: Fantastic!
Adams Dubrovna: after a number of days of rain

Eliza Madrigal: Here it is bright and warm and very green also... Bless the rain! :)

Susi Alcott: here that is still kind of winter
Susi Alcott: but sun finally came
Eliza Madrigal: Oh...winter sun is very nice
Susi Alcott: yes
Susi Alcott: but it's now much cuz of the cold ground
Susi Alcott: the winter atmosphare I mean
Eliza Madrigal: Ah
Adams Dubrovna: when does spring come there Susi?
Susi Alcott: have not appeared for 9th year now
Susi Alcott: as summer has hit the wintern 'down here' at the southern parts of Finland
Susi Alcott: about 200 km up; might be ab 300 miles; there spring comes still
Susi Alcott: I experienced lost for losing the spring...

Susi Alcott: but used to that quite soon
Susi Alcott: but after almost 50 years that was strong change
Adams Dubrovna: is there a reason for the change?
Adams Dubrovna: is it global warming?
Susi Alcott: but takes mind often back to childhood; those beautiful spring days
Susi Alcott: yes
Susi Alcott: that is the reason
Eliza Madrigal: I relate a little... We don't have much Spring here either...goes from a short fall to winter (more like fall than winter) then into Summer...then pretty much stays Summer with a few rests.
Eliza Madrigal: Ah :(
Susi Alcott: it started much longer time back as we got the 'southern' nights
Eliza Madrigal: What do you mean 'sothern' nights, Susi?
Susi Alcott: hot days and cold nights
Susi Alcott: summers was hot nights also up to my 40s
Susi Alcott: have experienced beautiful 'warm' summer nights in my life
Eliza Madrigal: :)
Susi Alcott: they are also very rare been; longer than the spring has been 'offline'
Susi Alcott: noticed the wish rising...that it would come such computers that would read the mind :)
Susi Alcott: when wanted
Eliza Madrigal: :) on our way I think

Susi Alcott: there surely would be many beautiful experiences to share within millions of people's mind
Eliza Madrigal: Indeed. This brings me into a phrase that I woke up with this morning "Conscious understructure"
Susi Alcott: if that computer could create the videos to 'tell'

Susi Alcott: thinking yes that before such computers ppl have got the 'skill' to share thoughts...
Eliza Madrigal: Susi, computers eventually seem to 'catch up' with potentials that have a picture already ...yes
Adams Dubrovna: yes, people could write :)
Susi Alcott: as it's been so wonderfull here to 'travel' ppl's with ppl's tellings
Adams Dubrovna: could you say more Eliza about c.u.?
Susi Alcott: who's got the time can sure write
Eliza Madrigal: And Science Fiction authors came up with things which sounded very wild at the time.

Eliza Madrigal: Hm...the idea is basically that often we try to get at things in a very solid sort of way, and this seems the logical thing to do....

Conscious Understructure

Eliza Madrigal: Okay...the conscious understructure to my mind, is something there all the time but taken for granted by our logical minds
Eliza Madrigal: For instance when someone talks about the 'distant meditator' or monk....that they are somehow not doing real work....
Eliza Madrigal: "staying up on the mountain"
Eliza Madrigal: they aren't really seeing the understructure....

Eliza Madrigal: that without that presence and silence and consciousness....
Eliza Madrigal: the rest of the "work" isn't going to matter much
Eliza Madrigal: Intention causes the $1 to make more of a difference than $100000 given ..in a way.
Eliza Madrigal: Some would argue this, but well...this is what I'm thinking about this morning.
Adams Dubrovna: :). My logical mind is trying to understand :)
Eliza Madrigal: Breakthroughs happen in flashes, often not in "working" at things
Adams Dubrovna: yes

Eliza Madrigal: Or, the working at things matters because of the understructure
Adams Dubrovna: but often when we are engaged
Eliza Madrigal: yes, certainly.
Adams Dubrovna: there seems to be some need for us to struggle sometimes
Eliza Madrigal: I agree....maybe it is the 'way' we struggle I am thinking about
Adams Dubrovna: hmmm
Adams Dubrovna: you mean we have good struggle and bad struggle?
Adams Dubrovna: useful struggle and not useful struggle
Eliza Madrigal: yes...more that...struggling with roots not branches as much
Adams Dubrovna: keeps us engaged
Adams Dubrovna: growing roots?
Eliza Madrigal: I think that is where we get into Play as Being and sheer appearances...dealing with the illusions as illusions...but not 'not' dealing...dealing consciously, thoughtfully, restfully even

Adams Dubrovna: Eliza, our recent thoughts and experience seem to color our way of looking at things
Adams Dubrovna: sometimes we gain insights through our work and we forget that often we get them by not working :)
Eliza Madrigal: hehe...yes....that is really what I meant...the ground preparation makes it possible to see

Adams Dubrovna: I don;t discuss spiritual life too much with friends in RL
Eliza Madrigal: No...I feel that it comes up everywhere...
Eliza Madrigal: So, maybe they're right...and also in your saying that our thoughts are colored...hm
Adams Dubrovna: People who are close to me in RL just know I am sort of a Buddhist but not one either
Adams Dubrovna: :)
Eliza Madrigal: Your professional life is very spiritual...spiritual themes saturate

Adams Dubrovna: yes, toher themes too
Adams Dubrovna: other
Eliza Madrigal: :) yes
Adams Dubrovna: I like to listen to sacred music while I work
Eliza Madrigal: Ah, nice. What sort?
Adams Dubrovna: but that is a reminder to me
Adams Dubrovna: It varies with time but often Christian Orthodox liturgical music. the Russian composer Gretchaninov is my favorite
Eliza Madrigal: I'll have to look into that....
Adams Dubrovna: but sometimes opera too
Eliza Madrigal: That's beautiful..can weave the reminder into everything you think and do
Adams Dubrovna: yes, it makes some moments seem holy
Eliza Madrigal: :) yes...I start off every morning with yoga music
Eliza Madrigal: during the day it sometimes drops off though
Adams Dubrovna: I wouldn;t tell anyone at work that though :)
Adams Dubrovna: about what I experience with the music that is
Eliza Madrigal: Oh, I see...hah. Yes, a principal at a school I worked with played Christian worship music, and it bothered a few
Eliza Madrigal: but I liked it..wasn't intrusive at all...just lovely
Adams Dubrovna: :)
Eliza Madrigal: And I suppose art is the same? The same work evokes very distinct emotions, but this is nice to share I think. Maybe we create 'safe' or 'comfortable' contexts.
Adams Dubrovna: yes, maybe :)
