SophiaSharon Larnia: hehe yes It has its ups and downs, but i like it :)
    SophiaSharon Larnia: how are you?
Blissful Badger: well thanks. today you do the laundry, right?
SophiaSharon Larnia: supposed to be ;p
    Blissful Badger: :-)
Blissful Badger: I'm starting to slow down a bit. Most commitments are met.
Blissful Badger: Now I'm making Christmas cards
SophiaSharon Larnia: wonderful time of year to slow down!
Blissful Badger: using my own photographs
    SophiaSharon Larnia: wow
Blissful Badger: I'm at my happiest when I making something - a cake or a Christmas card
SophiaSharon Larnia: I think I am too'
Blissful Badger: I sort of enter a zone where time seems to stop
    SophiaSharon Larnia: hi Rhiannon
    Blissful Badger: Hi Rhi!
    Rhiannon Dragoone: hi Sophia!
    Rhiannon Dragoone: Hi Blissful!
Rhiannon Dragoone: yay! I can see you!
    Blissful Badger: come down kat!
Rhiannon Dragoone: This is my friend kat; i've invited her
    kat22 Alter: hi all
SophiaSharon Larnia: yes Blissful! Very true, I remember doing needlepoint in my late teens when I first noticed that :D
Blissful Badger: yes but you can't see Aphrodite yet. she's still in limbo
    kat22 Alter: hi again luisa
    Blissful Badger: Welcome kat
Rhiannon Dragoone: i also tp'd luisa
    kat22 Alter: ty bliss
    Blissful Badger: Hello Luisa, welcome
SophiaSharon Larnia: hi Kat :) Hi Luisa, welcome
Blissful Badger: both of you should know that the conversations here are recorded. Is that OK?
Blissful Badger: they will be published on the web
kat22 Alter: kk thx for saying
SophiaSharon Larnia: the wiki is here: http://wiki.playasbeing.org/
    Blissful Badger: yw
Blissful Badger: at the end of this session I will enter the log into the wiki
Blissful Badger: that way we can read what has been said as can those who were unable to be here
Blissful Badger: How have your philosophy discussions been going Rhi?
    Rhiannon Dragoone: Blissful, really well
Blissful Badger: Luisa left. I hope she didn't crash
    SophiaSharon Larnia: hi Zen
    Blissful Badger: well attended?
kat22 Alter: im off too, things to do :), have fun, bye

    Herding philosophical cats

Rhiannon Dragoone: Averaging 30 ppl, and i would have encored the Monday one except my computer is unreliable today
    SophiaSharon Larnia: bye Kat
    Blissful Badger: Bye kat!
Blissful Badger: wow. do you find it difficult to manage the discussion?
    Rhiannon Dragoone: i hope not
    Blissful Badger: Hi Zen
    SophiaSharon Larnia: no :)
    Zen Arado: Hi all :)
Rhiannon Dragoone: Blissful, it's like herding cats
    Rhiannon Dragoone: hi Zen
Blissful Badger: - everyone speaking at once and not listening?
Rhiannon Dragoone: well, not quite as bad as that; but it's difficult to keep them on topic
Rhiannon Dragoone: but i manage. :)
Blissful Badger: what do you think of the idea of using a talking stick?
Blissful Badger: I know someone who has invented a SL talking stick to use when there are a lot of people
SophiaSharon Larnia: that would be great if it was scripted :)
Blissful Badger: Calvino Rabeni has scripted one
Blissful Badger: Calvino has made a talking stick that can be claimed or given to another
I think he's working out the kinks
SophiaSharon Larnia: ah he did script it then :P
Blissful Badger: yes he did Sophia
SophiaSharon Larnia: funny how christmas songs on Novemeber 1 bothered me a bit, and now I like them. haha
Zen Arado: how did you manage to change Sharon?
Zen Arado: I find it difficult :)
SophiaSharon Larnia: I dont know :) lol
Blissful Badger: If I hear little drummer boy one more time I'll scream
Luisa Bourgoin: *grumble* had a nasty crash. BTW what means "On Air" exactly?
    Blissful Badger: wb Luisa
Blissful Badger: It means you are being recorded
SophiaSharon Larnia: I know what you mean Bliss, part of it is the cold, it was warm in Nov, part of it is the decorating and house full of good smells, part of it is me
    Rhiannon Dragoone: wb Luisa
    Zen Arado: Hi Luisa
    SophiaSharon Larnia: wb Luisa :)
Zen Arado: I was thinking of going to your meeting at 2 pm Rhia
Zen Arado: but I didn't get an invite though my Alt did :)
Rhiannon Dragoone: Zen, i'm sorry; i had to cancell; my computer is unrealiable and the owner of this one will want it back
    SophiaSharon Larnia: hi Qt
    Zen Arado: I know
    Rhiannon Dragoone: Hi Qt!
Blissful Badger: what was the subject of the 2pm session going to be Rhi?
    Zen Arado: Hi Qt :)
    Blissful Badger: Salve QT
Rhiannon Dragoone: It was an encore of "Two Theories of Honesty."
    SophiaSharon Larnia: hmm :)
    Blissful Badger: only two?
SophiaSharon Larnia: thats what i was thinking lol
    Blissful Badger: :-)
Rhiannon Dragoone: Bliss, well, i have about 400 words to say things at these meetings
Blissful Badger: It must be rather a subjective subject - honesty
    Qt Core: hi all
SophiaSharon Larnia: hi Qt again I think you were out of chat range
Blissful Badger: how are you Qt. Is there snow in Milano?  neve
Qt Core: no snow now; a little early this week
Zen Arado: there's snow in Ireland
Blissful Badger: white and green. nice image
SophiaSharon Larnia: I heard about how cold it was in the UK, blizzards
Zen Arado: yes - it came early
Blissful Badger: yes. Bleu Levasseuer  said they closed the schools
Zen Arado: hope you feel sympathetic Sharon :)
SophiaSharon Larnia: oh i do! :)
    Blissful Badger: why?
Zen Arado: we don't usually get so much snow
Zen Arado: if we get 2 inches everything almost comes to a standstill

    Mayonnaise in Ireland

SophiaSharon Larnia: global warming, hotter summers, colder winters, fiercer weather
Blissful Badger: Here the skies are brilliantly blue minus 5C
Rhiannon Dragoone: oh, brilliant blues; i love that; like the Caribbean
Blissful Badger: but colder Rhi, much!
    Rhiannon Dragoone: yes, Bliss; brrrr
Rhiannon Dragoone: There's no mayanaise in Ireland
    Blissful Badger: mayonnaise?
    Zen Arado: mayanaise?
Blissful Badger: is that something you put on toast?
Rhiannon Dragoone: Mayanise? Oh, i said "No man is an island." And here you thought i was talkiing about salad dressing
    Zen Arado: salad dressing?
Rhiannon Dragoone: (I know; old joke and it needs to be auditory)
Blissful Badger: Nicer sitting inside looking out - at the mountains and the sea. Wish I could show you all
Rhiannon Dragoone: well, take pictures and download them to us, Bliss
Blissful Badger: Is anyone going to somewhere hot for the holidays?
    Rhiannon Dragoone: Bliss; i wish!
SophiaSharon Larnia: smiles You could, upload a christmas card! :D
Blissful Badger: yes- there is a dusting of snow on the peaks
    Blissful Badger: really lovely.

    Star gazing in the cold

Qt Core: thinking about friends going to do some astronomic observations tonight in the mountains at -10C)
Blissful Badger: Makes me think of living in the Rockies
SophiaSharon Larnia: brb, phone call i have to take
    Zen Arado: Rockies?
Blissful Badger: in an unheated observatory? Yes Zen the Canadian Rocky Mountain

Qt Core: yes, and the one with personal instrumentds outside of that too
Blissful Badger: lovely. I know someone wh has an observatory and on the nights that it's clear he goes up in it wearing his heavy winter coat to watch and photograph.
Blissful Badger: he suffers for his science. He takes pix of the stars!galaxies, star clusters
Qt Core: mostly nowadays I put on ski gear (minus the ski, that is :) )
Blissful Badger: Luisa Bourgoin: it's cute ... however stars are over-hyped
    Blissful Badger: over hyped?
Blissful Badger: they're not as interesting as they've been made out to be?
Luisa Bourgoin: bejond the sky, even
    Blissful Badger: ?
Rhiannon Dragoone: stars? Like in the sky? Oh, i don't think they can be. Love to see the Milky Way on a clear night in the mountains
Blissful Badger: Most of us in the cities rarely get a good chance to see the stars
Blissful Badger: They're pretty awesome when you can get away from all that light interference
SophiaSharon Larnia: sorry have to go
Rhiannon Dragoone: oh, and ur missing something, Bliss
    SophiaSharon Larnia: have fun :D
    Qt Core: bye ssl
    SophiaSharon Larnia: :)
    Rhiannon Dragoone: Sophia, tc
Blissful Badger: Bye sophia - enjoy the rest of the day!
    Zen Arado: bye Sharon
Rhiannon Dragoone: i don't know how long i can stay; i'm just enjoying the moment
Blissful Badger: the only way to be!!
Blissful Badger: It's a great combination-looking out at the blue sky and talking to all of you
Rhiannon Dragoone: true, Badge, but that's not the way to run an event, which is why i had to cancell
    Rhiannon Dragoone: again, apologies, Zen
    Zen Arado: np
Blissful Badger: what's not the way to run an event Rhi?
Rhiannon Dragoone: Bliss, just taking it moment by moment; you have to plan
Blissful Badger: Oh I see tx Rhi - I agree

    Sad finances

Blissful Badger: Zen, may I ask. What do you think of Ireland asking for help from the EU?

    Zen Arado: sad
Blissful Badger: do you think they should have done it?
Blissful Badger: I thought it was a wise decision
Zen Arado: don't think they had much choice
Luisa Bourgoin: Bliss, it's a sure sign that something went wrong. utterly wrong.
Blissful Badger: Had it been happening for a while?
Zen Arado: I live in the North so am British really
Zen Arado: but Britain is very linked to the Irish economy as well
    Mickorod Renard: Hi Guys
    arabella Ella: Hiya!
    Zen Arado: Hi Mick
    Luisa Bourgoin *waves* hello
Rhiannon Dragoone: hi arabella! Hi Mick!
    Blissful Badger: Hi Mick!
arabella Ella: Is Aphro still stuck here Bliss?
Mickorod Renard: Hi Bliss, any relation to Bill?
Blissful Badger: nope - not that I know of!
Mickorod Renard: Rhi, while you are there can you give my shoulders a rub?
Luisa Bourgoin: strange, isn't it? they have different currencies
    Mickorod Renard: kk
Zen Arado: Ireland joined the Euro
Blissful Badger: Euros in North and South?
Zen Arado: in the North we still use Sterling
arabella Ella: so strange tho that you still have some Irish Pounds Zen
arabella Ella: euros only in south
Zen Arado: ah yes - they won't accept our money in England
Rhiannon Dragoone: Well, that's rotton of them, Zen
Zen Arado: it's because our banks print their own money and they are suspicious of the notes
Rhiannon Dragoone: Well, Zen, you should let the ink dry before using them
Rhiannon Dragoone: I hear it helps
    Zen Arado: Hi Ara
    arabella Ella: Hey Zen!
    Blissful Badger: Hi Ara

    Qt Core: hi ara, mick
arabella Ella: were you also mooting for the World Cup in England Zen?

Moot, moot, moot for the home team

arabella Ella: and do you watch X Factor too?
    Blissful Badger: heh - mooting
    Mickorod Renard: Hiya QT
Zen Arado: difficult question Ara :)
arabella Ella: hope mooting is the right word?
Zen Arado: an Americanism I believe :)
Qt Core: not only england is plagued with x factor :-(
    Zen Arado: :)
Blissful Badger: what does mooting mean?
arabella Ella: it finished it Italy tho Qt
    arabella Ella: Natalie won
Zen Arado: think I would root for England I'm ashamed to say
Qt Core: is it ? good
arabella Ella: and Nevruz was in the final
    Blissful Badger: moot?
    Blissful Badger: for England?
Zen Arado: would be better if they didn't boast so much :)
arabella Ella: moot - like to give your support to
    Zen Arado: yes
    Blissful Badger: oh like root
Blissful Badger: rooting for the home team
Zen Arado: maybe it should have been Root
Rhiannon Dragoone: maybe it's a moot root; or a root moot?
arabella Ella: why are you ashamed to say so Zen if you are simply being honest
Zen Arado: kinda feel like I should support Ireland too
    Blissful Badger: That's logical
Zen Arado: not really Bliss :)
arabella Ella: i dunno whether it is moot or root or whatever i will leave that up to the Brits and US ppl to judge
    Mickorod Renard: it needs support
arabella Ella: ah they pay Mr Trappatoni a fortune down south
Blissful Badger: supporting one's own "tribe" is normal if not logical
Mickorod Renard: needs about £15k per head support
Rhiannon Dragoone: oh, i have to go
    Rhiannon Dragoone: tc all
    Mickorod Renard: bye |Rhi
    Zen Arado: bye Rhia
Qt Core: outside the UK there are many people asking why you have multiple national teams ;-)
Blissful Badger: too much sports discussion Rhi?
Qt Core: if this is too much sport discussion for her she could not enter a pub in uk or a bar in italy then :-)
arabella Ella: Rhi is your session on or is it cancelled now?
    Qt Core: bye Rhi
    Rhiannon Dragoone: bye Zen
    Rhiannon Dragoone: bye Qt
Blissful Badger: It's cancelled I believe ara
    arabella Ella: ok ty
Rhiannon Dragoone laughs and winks at Bliss
    Rhiannon Dragoone: cu all later!
    Blissful Badger winks back
    arabella Ella: bye Rhi
    Rhiannon Dragoone waves and poofs
    Mickorod Renard: c u
Zen Arado: how do you like the English weather Ara?
Blissful Badger: now where were we?
Blissful Badger: someone's voice/mic is on
    Qt Core: mick's
Zen Arado: it's a moot point
    Blissful Badger: Qt
    Zen Arado: :)
    Blissful Badger: it's you Qt!
    Qt Core: and mine too
Mickorod Renard: does it sound like television?
    Zen Arado: it's Mick
Qt Core: don't know how it started, sorry
Blissful Badger: sounds like voices. I had to turn off my sound
Qt Core: mine was radio background
arabella Ella: well Zen today i went for an hour's walk along the banks of the Mersey in Manchester and i really enjoyed the experience walking on snow and the silence and desolation it was brilliant!
Zen Arado: it must be a novelty for you
Blissful Badger: Ah.  my green light is still flashing
Blissful Badger: Mick it's you now
    arabella Ella: yes it is
arabella Ella: i have seen snow before but on vacation it is very different

    Savvy Soccer talk

arabella Ella: and i am not on vacation at the moment
Zen Arado: did you get to see Man U playing?
arabella Ella: it is scarey at times too as it gets icy and slippery
arabella Ella: yes i watched man united twice at Old Trafford but then it got too cold for me and now i prefer pubs
arabella Ella: i even saw Rooney before his contract problems
Zen Arado: lucky you - but cold yes
arabella Ella: must admit i am a Rooney and Becks fan
arabella Ella: confess is a better word
Blissful Badger: You are both speaking another language from mine
Zen Arado: Rooney not too popular atm
arabella Ella: i think he made a good comeback
Zen Arado: but fans are thawing
    Zen Arado: yes
Blissful Badger: are you talking about soccer?
    Zen Arado: sorry yes Bliss
arabella Ella: and now i hope the match against valencia this week will be on TV so i can watch it more comfortably
    Blissful Badger: European soccer?
arabella Ella: yes Bliss this is soccer
arabella Ella: United had their game cancelled today
arabella Ella: and i think Chelsea won
Zen Arado: yes English Premier League
    Blissful Badger: Manchester United?
    Zen Arado: Chelsea only drew
arabella Ella: this week there is the UEFA match against Valencia
Zen Arado: so Arsenal are top of league
arabella Ella: yes Bliss Manchester United are the best!
    Zen Arado: yes
arabella Ella: oh Chelsea ended up as a draw ... wow!
Blissful Badger: ara, how did you get interested in soccer?
    arabella Ella: i dunno Bliss
arabella Ella: but  i only enjoy sports when played at a professional level
arabella Ella: like world class or thereabouts
Blissful Badger: did you ever play soccer?
arabella Ella: and United qualify for that of course
Qt Core: even if marginally most people of european roots are interested in soccer
arabella Ella: no i never played soccer it is still predominantly male game
Blissful Badger: I find it hard to watch a sport that I haven't played
Blissful Badger: I can't physically identify with what is happening. Does that make sense?
arabella Ella: well Qt one time i went to Old Trafford on my own as a female
arabella Ella: and i can tell you there are not many females there
arabella Ella: or in the pubs either
arabella Ella: but i go watch United anyway
    Blissful Badger: Mick left!
Blissful Badger: Guess he's not a soccer fan
Qt Core: never be at a match myself
Zen Arado: think you can still enjoy it though Bliss
arabella Ella: well Bliss a lot of ppl were hoping the USA would win their bid for the world cup in 2022 as they would like to see soccer promoted in the USA
    arabella Ella: Mick crashed
Blissful Badger: where would the game be played in the US?
Qt Core: here in italy i get very strange looks when i say i don't root for a team
Zen Arado: there was great mourning this week because the England bid to host it in 2018 failed
arabella Ella: oh yes Zen i heard it life on BBC on my laptop and i was so disappointed
arabella Ella: cos England has not had world cup in 44 years and they have the facilities and all it takes

    Paying for the priviledge

Blissful Badger: Could they have supported it financially? Vancouver will suffer for a long time -financially - because of its hosting the winter olympics this year
Blissful Badger: we tax payers are having to pay a lot more than had been promised to cover costs
arabella Ella: but money talks and russia and qatar have oil
Zen Arado: they thought they had it in the bag
Zen Arado: yes - a lot of deals and politics going on
Qt Core: wasn't it last year, bliss ?
arabella Ella: yes ... shhhh ... panorama?
    Blissful Badger: no, February 2010
Luisa Bourgoin: strolling around SL again ... plenty to watch. take care
Qt Core: being now december 2010...
    Zen Arado: bye Luisa
    Blissful Badger: bye Luisa
arabella Ella: Bliss i think these events are very prestigous and i think governments know they can somehow make up for it one way or another or simply go further into debt
    arabella Ella: bye Lu
Blissful Badger: yes. Many people in Vancouver were against it
arabella Ella: then that is a NIMBY attitude i guess?
    Zen Arado: they were? surprised
Blissful Badger: So much money goes into building new venues that people felt could best be put elsewhere
    Zen Arado: wb Mick
Blissful Badger: Hundreds of homeless cant sleep in a speed skating pavilion
arabella Ella: but it is always an injection into the economy with tourism, businesses, etc
    Blissful Badger: Hey mick
Qt Core: but sometimes there is money that would not been spent on something else
    arabella Ella: jobs too
    arabella Ella: wb Mick!
Mickorod Renard: hi,,sorry I had a freeze and crash
arabella Ella: any big event creates job
Zen Arado: I haven't heard many complain about the Olympics being held in England in 2012
Blissful Badger: It benefits some- but not  others. Only one olympics actually came out in the black
    Blissful Badger: check it out
    arabella Ella: yes?
Blissful Badger: yes - Salt Lake City I believe
    arabella Ella: winter olympics?
arabella Ella: Los Angeles too i believe
Mickorod Renard: I am glad the uk didnt get the wold cup
    arabella Ella: owwwww Mick!
    arabella Ella: why?
Blissful Badger: Winter olympics. Yes it was LA not SLC who were in the black. Well, I will leave you to kick the conversational ball around
    arabella Ella: ooops shhhh
    Blissful Badger: bye all
    Zen Arado: bye Bliss
    Qt Core: bye bliss
arabella Ella: oh bye Bliss lovely to see you here!
Mickorod Renard: bye bliss, say hi to bill
    Blissful Badger: I don't know Bill :-0
    Mickorod Renard: )

    Wicked weather talk

Blissful Badger: enjoy the snow Zen
    Zen Arado: not likely :)
arabella Ella: do you have snow too Zen?
Mickorod Renard: everyone knows Bill..i am sure
arabella Ella: cos i heard Ulster for example was not hit
Zen Arado: we only had a couple of inches
    arabella Ella: 'Bill Bager'
    Mickorod Renard: yes
    Mickorod Renard: badger
arabella Ella: is it still white outdoors?
Mickorod Renard: its all thawed out here
Zen Arado: someplaces it is hanging around and has turned into ice
Zen Arado: it was very icy this morning when I was out
    arabella Ella: ah
arabella Ella: here there was a drizzle today which melted some ice but on the mersey where i went rambling today it is still all lovely and desolate and silent and white
Mickorod Renard: yes, lastnight I came across an accident ,,a car rolled into a ditch
arabella Ella: the pavements are very icy though
Zen Arado: I live right beside a marina so it doesn't usually last long
arabella Ella: and i love the sound of fresh snow the crunch crunch
    arabella Ella: ah yes
arabella Ella: it was also marginally warmer here today
Zen Arado: were you born in England Ara?
arabella Ella: did you get any snow Qt?
Qt Core: a few cm . few days ago, melted and dried away in just one day
arabella Ella: no i was born in Malta
arabella Ella: my grandma was english
arabella Ella: and a lot of my family have moved here too
Zen Arado: ok - thought your parents might have moved there
    arabella Ella: no
arabella Ella: ah cos north of italy can be very cold too- Torino and milano
Qt Core: yes, we are at about -4C in the night here

Mickorod Renard: when I lived on the mediterranean coast in france, we had a big snow fall one year and it broke lots of tree's
Mickorod Renard: I couldnt get into my place without chopping a tree down to open my gates
    Zen Arado: amazing
arabella Ella: at at home where it is now getting colder it is still around 17
Mickorod Renard: the day after it thawed out and i couldnt get back into my home cos of a flood
    arabella Ella: LOL
Qt Core: was it many years ago, like in 1985 ? that year there was a mighty snow in northern italy
arabella Ella: you can laugh after the event Mick
arabella Ella: ah Qt i was once stuck in Rome with snow
Mickorod Renard: for me it ws about 5 or 6 years ago
Zen Arado: I always hated driving in snow
arabella Ella: and the airports and everything were closed
arabella Ella: but a long time ago
Zen Arado: I used to have to drive down country roads to get to work at a power station
arabella Ella: i would hate driving under these weather conditions
Mickorod Renard: yes, best stick to the bus routes, they tend to grit those roads
Zen Arado: didn't have any choice
Mickorod Renard: I have swapped my route these last days to avoid the little lanes to work
Mickorod Renard: I have a choice but it means more miles
Qt Core: last year we had a 10 cm snow... took me 9 hours to do my regular 30 min drive from work to home
Zen Arado: wow - 9 hours
    Mickorod Renard: wow, Qt,,thats bad
Qt Core: some collegues took over 11
    Mickorod Renard: wow,terible
Qt Core: funniest thing ? i got stuck in the snow 3 meters from home :-)
Zen Arado: I think other Nordic countries cope better with snow than Britain
Mickorod Renard: and the danger is that you run out of fuel, and freeze
Zen Arado: so near so far :)
Zen Arado: it always seems to come as a big shock when we get a little snow
Mickorod Renard: ara has crashed this time
Zen Arado: see some people here still in T shirts
Qt Core: and just seconds after getting stuck was called on the phone by someone that told me there was a lot of snow near the gate :-)
    Qt Core: wb ara
Mickorod Renard: I used to drive up into the mountains in france to go snowboarding, but then you are prepared, with chains on the tires and so forth..and they have patrols on the roads all the time helping people get up the hills
Zen Arado: yes - we always seem so unprepared
Zen Arado: but then we don't usually get that much snow
Zen Arado: we had so many mild winters
arabella Ella: that is one thing i cannot understand, how unprepared the UK always are year in year out
Qt Core: since a couple years around here there are local laws mandating chains in the car or winter tires from november to march, even in the plain like here around Milan
Mickorod Renard: I think its just that there are so many cars on so few miles of road
Zen Arado: yes - and they talk about 'frozen Britain' on the news reports
arabella Ella: so do you always have to have them on Qt?
arabella Ella: winter tyres would do for the UK as a start
Mickorod Renard: thats a good idea Qt
Zen Arado: I remember chains but no one seems to use them any more in the UK
Qt Core: the winter tires yes, got mine for the first time a couple weeks ago, that is 320 euros to have them installed
    arabella Ella: just installation? ouch!
    Qt Core: bought and installed
    arabella Ella: ah
Mickorod Renard: I still have some but I dont know if they will fit my new car
    Zen Arado: expensive
arabella Ella: i remember visiting north sweden a couple of years ago and everyone there uses winter tyres and no chains
arabella Ella: they even use the winter tyres to drive on ice in lakes or the sea
Zen Arado: they must be good
    arabella Ella: i guess so
Mickorod Renard: I was thinking of getting a spare set of wheels,,cheap if pos,,and fitting some winter tyres ready for next time
Qt Core: i almost hope for a nice snow to test mine :-)
arabella Ella: and chains can be such a pain i remember having a go once in italy in the alps
arabella Ella: Qt you could go for a drive tomorrrow to the Alps?
    arabella Ella: or to Aosta?
Mickorod Renard: yes, I have lost several chains in the past,,sometimes they get thrown off
Qt Core: only under torture ;-)
    arabella Ella: LOL
arabella Ella looks for my whip
Zen Arado: didn't Hannibal use elephants?
Qt Core: i had chains to comply with the law but never know how to install them, I choose winter tires as i don't want to know how to use chains... or whips
Mickorod Renard: my dilemma's were that I used to forget to not use my hand brake when parked up on mountain tops in winter
arabella Ella: why dont you use a hand brake Mick?
Zen Arado: it freezes up Mick?
Mickorod Renard: and the handbrake would freeze on,,and i couldnt unstick the frozen brakes
    Mickorod Renard: yes
Mickorod Renard: several times i had to drive down mountain dragging my back wheels along in the stuck position
