Yakuzza Lethecus: yes, actually it was
Yakuzza Lethecus: some duck, but not as delicous as from the chinese restaurant
    stevenaia Michinaga: smiles
Yakuzza Lethecus: totaly different meal, more plain german food
Yakuzza Lethecus: it wasn´t bad just different
Yakuzza Lethecus: chinese food has some fancyness since i don´t have it that often
Yakuzza Lethecus: the next restaurant is 20km away so we ain´t order there
    Yakuzza Lethecus: *chinese
stevenaia Michinaga: every culture seems to have foods that some other culture whats more, except perhaps theFfrench, who I suspect are quite happy with their food
    stevenaia Michinaga: *wants
Yakuzza Lethecus: you mean everyone wants froshlegs and slugs ?
    Yakuzza Lethecus: *jokes evil*
stevenaia Michinaga: I was one in a part of the country where the nearest chinese restaurant was 2 hours away
    stevenaia Michinaga: hehe, yes
stevenaia Michinaga: no one else can think of cooking those things
    --BELL--
Yakuzza Lethecus: well, the biggest consumption is actually in china
stevenaia Michinaga: consumption of what? french food?
Yakuzza Lethecus: no i think there are regions of china with such tradition as well
    Yakuzza Lethecus: fujian region
Yakuzza Lethecus: *just try to dig up sources :)
Yakuzza Lethecus: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cantonese_cuisine <- froglegs mentioned here sadly no info on quantity
Yakuzza Lethecus: but i recall an article saying that the consumption is higher then in france but no idea if the amount of population would screen it off through in ratio
stevenaia Michinaga: maybe there's a YELP review
    Yakuzza Lethecus: YELP ?
stevenaia Michinaga: it's a restaurant review site
stevenaia Michinaga: anyone can comment on a venu
stevenaia Michinaga: seems it's only US
Yakuzza Lethecus: there´s a german version of the site as well
Yakuzza Lethecus: still i haven´t heard of it before you mentioned it
stevenaia Michinaga: but a link to paris
    stevenaia Michinaga: http://www.yelp.com/search?find_desc...aris%2C+France
stevenaia Michinaga: awww, you ahve to enter city, country
stevenaia Michinaga: what city is your favorite restaurant in?
Yakuzza Lethecus: actually i don´t have a favorite restaurant
    stevenaia Michinaga: :)
Yakuzza Lethecus: i only come by a little fast food restaurant after work :)
Yakuzza Lethecus: it´s still facinating to meet all these globetrotters around here :)
Yakuzza Lethecus: well i mentioned to some ppl before that i never even flew before the malta retreat last year :)
    --BELL--
stevenaia Michinaga: that must have been wonderful, Mala sounds lovely
stevenaia Michinaga: are you going to Assisi?
Yakuzza Lethecus: actually, assisi is tempting
Yakuzza Lethecus: i am not sure if i should try 2 retreats this year when i heard that seattle is on a little isle away from it my interest decreased a little bit
Yakuzza Lethecus: so assisi is tempting because it might be like malta
Yakuzza Lethecus: with sightseeing and retreat
Yakuzza Lethecus: i like that dualism
Yakuzza Lethecus: malta was really great out of that aspect for me since i don´t travel that often
    stevenaia Michinaga: hello observerm
    Yakuzza Lethecus: hello observerm
    observerm Resident: hello stevenaia, Yaku
Yakuzza Lethecus: i will still have to check on the details for assisi
stevenaia Michinaga: yes, do you still feel the impressions of the retreat?
Yakuzza Lethecus: yes, the practices as well as the landscapes
    Yakuzza Lethecus: memory is facinating
stevenaia Michinaga: I enjoy the change it offers.. like a mental vacation
Yakuzza Lethecus: i recall even subjects in a different setting differently from those whom were all in the same place
Yakuzza Lethecus: i perfectly recall pema talking like about hobby groups in japan in an restaurant build at the oldest wall in mdina
Yakuzza Lethecus: which was out of roman times with the bar in front of it
    stevenaia Michinaga: :)
Yakuzza Lethecus: those memory´s stick much better then all the information in our retreat house which was also very nice
Yakuzza Lethecus: the contrast became more clear for me when i recognized that the impression of malta is much stronger then the heidelberg one
    Yakuzza Lethecus: heidelberg (stuttgart retreat)
stevenaia Michinaga: nods, were the surroundings too familair?
Yakuzza Lethecus: yes, it was familar
    Yakuzza Lethecus: http://www.flickr.com/photos/yakuzza_lethecus/
