Catrinamonblue Resident: tired and happy :) found a place with free salsa dance lessons last night :)

Xirana Oximoxi: I did a course long ago...different dances...cha cha cha, salsa, vals... but I've forgotten

Xirana Oximoxi: I don't usually go to places where they play this music...and plus, I always listen to classical:)
Xirana Oximoxi: but I like country, rock and blues very much too
Catrinamonblue Resident: I don't normally like to go to bars but Druth does and so to make her happy I went :) I found though that I had a lot of fun and am looking forward to going again next Friday
Catrinamonblue Resident: I like all sorts of music except rap and screamo

Xirana Oximoxi: one 'problem' I find about SL, is that people you know live quite far

Korel Laloix: I have met a few married couples in here... but for the most part they were poeple I met at a SL convention.
Xirana Oximoxi: I mean, meeting here living togheter... is it good for you?
Catrinamonblue Resident: it's interesting :) funny sometimes when we are both on sitting across from each other on our laptops
Catrinamonblue Resident: typing and laughing or conversing
Xirana Oximoxi: ahhh yes:)) both at home and talking through the laptop:))

Korel Laloix: I have some military friends that use SL for "dates" when one of them is like over in AFghanistan.

Xirana Oximoxi: I understand it very well...it's a way to get more more close..or at least to have the feeling of being more near
Catrinamonblue Resident: that is cool Korel. So many ways to use SL :)
Xirana Oximoxi: maybe it's easier to talk about some matters through SL
Korel Laloix: Just having a person to look at is far more comforting I think.
Korel Laloix: Especially if you invest in an AV that goes from RL pictrues.

Korel Laloix: Not read of anyone using it to keep in contact with their kids though....
Korel Laloix: Wonder if that happens.
Catrinamonblue Resident: Not sure the kids would want to be kept track of that way :)
Xirana Oximoxi: I've seen some people having 'kids' in SL...a neighbough of my sl studio has ..
Korel Laloix: That I find a bit strange.. but to each their own.
Catrinamonblue Resident: having kids in RL is enough for me don't need to have any in SL :)
Xirana Oximoxi: but I guess Cat is right...kids would not like to meet their parents here..maybe

Korel Laloix: Could be quite embarassing... lol
Catrinamonblue Resident: yes true I'm not sure I want my kids to meet cat she is me in a different way than RL
Korel Laloix: THey are probably different here as well.
Xirana Oximoxi: there is the PG SL...but if I had kids I would not introduce them here
Korel Laloix: I am in a realism phase.. but have not always been like this.

Korel Laloix: Well, for the last couple of years I have been trying to make Korel look like me at least.
Xirana Oximoxi: and by the way...how are you doing at the new phase of your life, living on your own again?
Korel Laloix: But I admit there are things I do here to scratch some itches from time to time as well.
Korel Laloix: THings I don't do RL at the moment.
Korel Laloix: LIfe feels empthy.
Korel Laloix: But I am about to go find some new running routs.
Korel Laloix: And thinking of getting a cat.

Korel Laloix: It is a store that buys stuff from other stores that they don't feel like selling on sale themselves

Korel Laloix: But they do have nice things from time to time.
Korel Laloix: I get a lot of everyday clothes there.
Korel Laloix: And I just got my dishes from there as well.

Korel Laloix: I have even found some good table office sort of stuff as well.
Korel Laloix: Love is a strange word in English at least.
Korel Laloix: Way too many meanings to make it useful.
Xirana Oximoxi: there are differences with Spanish language...in Spain is more common to say 'Te quiero' (I want you) than 'te amo' (I love you) ..I wonder if it's a sign of a possessiv character

Xirana Oximoxi: and how the use of the verb 'to love' is different in different languages...
Raffila Millgrove: ah yes. We have a Marxhalls close by.. i think they are owned by same co. get some real bargains there .. somedays.
Raffila Millgrove: that was Marshalls
Raffila Millgrove: I like the design of stuff at Target and sometime Ikea. but they are not as cheap overall.

Korel Laloix: I don't want any more clutter... but... Reeba thinks I keep my living area a bit too bland.
Raffila Millgrove: whole family is hoaders.. some mild, one horrible. so... this getting rid is more essential to me.. than adding to.

Korel Laloix: I did manage to get rid of some of my unused thing recently.. that was nice.
Raffila Millgrove: my inv in sl.. is well organized so i can manage.. but in my house. well .. not a pleasant topic ..
Catrinamonblue Resident: I used to collect stuff in Rl but have learned not to so much now :)

Korel Laloix: Still everyting I own can go into my car.
Catrinamonblue Resident: everything I own except the furniture could fit in my car :) furniture is so bulky but necessary :)
Korel Laloix: I might get a proper bed soon, the airmatress I have now is nice, but I am not sure it will survive long.

Korel Laloix: There is a sort of loft area upstairs..

Raffila Millgrove: i have a balcony too. they are so refreshing..
Korel Laloix: Never had to pay utilitiy bills before either... so that will be new.
Raffila Millgrove: to be able to step outside anytime you like.. and have place to sit and watch views.

Raffila Millgrove: when my son was only 2 1/2 he managed to lock me and my mom outside.. on the balcony.. it was kind of awful...

Korel Laloix: Just trees out the balcony.. but at least it is not a parking lot.
Raffila Millgrove: we were lucky we had a landlord downstairs.. when she got home.. she had keys to our apt.. so she came up and released us.
Korel Laloix: That is good readers digest material... smiles
Raffila Millgrove: we had to talk to the boy.. my son.. non stop to keep him by us.. so he didn't hurt himself alone in the apt. it was a long after noon.

Catrinamonblue Resident: oh Raffi funny in retrospect but difficult at the time I'm sure
Raffila Millgrove: kids. that age.. always .. worrying. the things they do.. they are too young to understand the dangers.. you must watch them every second of day. exhausting.

Raffila Millgrove: once they are 3.. it gets much better, they start to understand.. much better.

Raffila Millgrove: it's in your graphics perferences--to keep myself .. unlagged.. i don't use the.. highest level of graphics.. altho I could.. my graphics card and machine--can take it.. but i never went .. super high.. but one day i decide.. maybe i should see how things look using the high settings and it's pretty neato.

Raffila Millgrove: when i moan that i .. fried my graphics card, you can remind me it's my own fault. LOL cuase truthfully... it's always hot.. in there. i can hear the fan whirling away.. so I know.. probably not something i should do every day.
