stevenaia Michinaga: if you look everywhere you will find something
    stevenaia Michinaga: wandering

    --BELL--

    stevenaia Michinaga: :)
Paradise Tennant: smiles so true :))
Aphrodite Macbain: even if you dont know what you're looking for
Aphrodite Macbain: the best thing to do is hang around Storm

    Aphrodite Macbain: sorry
stevenaia Michinaga: hehe, yes, he is helpful w/o being obvious
stevenaia Michinaga: let me IM you since others may not have found it

druth Vlodovic: right, ATAOB or something, right?
druth Vlodovic: cat was complaining that all the talks are about the treasure hunt :)
    stevenaia Michinaga: hehe
    Catrinamonblue Resident: :)
druth Vlodovic: next year we need to get existential about the questions
stevenaia Michinaga: seems to be that kind of week
Paradise Tennant: smiles and wags her tail
druth Vlodovic: though I suppose then they would have no fixed answers, which couldmake finding the crown difficult
stevenaia Michinaga: quantum treasure hunt, all answers are possible
Aphrodite Macbain: and they are al invisible
    Catrinamonblue Resident: :)
druth Vlodovic: maybe at the end we'd all show each other the different prizes we found on the journey
Aphrodite Macbain: we will all need microscopes
    Aphrodite Macbain: yes
    druth Vlodovic: macroscopes
Aphrodite Macbain: a slide show of invisble particles
    Catrinamonblue Resident: smiles
Aphrodite Macbain: or a show of concepts and thoughts
Catrinamonblue Resident: I like that one :)
Aphrodite Macbain: that shimmer in the light of the projector
Catrinamonblue Resident: conceptual ideas of PaB
druth Vlodovic: sounds more like an art project
Aphrodite Macbain: It can be both
    Aphrodite Macbain: Hiya Luci
    stevenaia Michinaga: Hi Luci
    Catrinamonblue Resident: Hi Luci
Aphrodite Macbain: Luci of the brilliance
Lucinda Lavender: thanks Paradise, Hi All!
    Catrinamonblue Resident: lovely dress
    druth Vlodovic: bright luci

druth Vlodovic: "How does PaB percieve you presenting it's appearence"
Lucinda Lavender: fire dress from Free Dove, thanks...
    Paradise Tennant: hiya luci :))
druth Vlodovic: fire in water :)
    Catrinamonblue Resident: :)
    Aphrodite Macbain: hiss
Lucinda Lavender: am I in the fountain?
    Aphrodite Macbain: hovering over it
Paradise Tennant: let me back and re tp you
    druth Vlodovic: 'sec
stevenaia Michinaga: yes, floating above the water
Lucinda Lavender: have only text to look,at...
    druth Vlodovic: yes :)
    Aphrodite Macbain: lol
    druth Vlodovic: aww
    Aphrodite Macbain: nudge nudge

    --BELL--

    druth Vlodovic: meanie
    stevenaia Michinaga: brb
Lucinda Lavender: I think I miss, seeing you all...
Paradise Tennant: yes but nice to have you hear even in text
Aphrodite Macbain: funny that I can only sit on certain cushions
druth Vlodovic: where are you at?
Aphrodite Macbain: now both of u are in the pool
Aphrodite Macbain: get out from under Luci's dress druth!
Lucinda Lavender: what would happen if I kept this open and started up the laptop connection as well?
Aphrodite Macbain: give it a try
druth Vlodovic: it's comfy under there :)
druth Vlodovic: if a bit damp
    druth Vlodovic: btw
druth Vlodovic: I found a littletidbit
druth Vlodovic: it explains the origin of meditative practice
Aphrodite Macbain: I have had two avis on at the same time, I'm sure you can text
    Aphrodite Macbain: tidbit of what?
    Catrinamonblue Resident: :)
    druth Vlodovic: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gjnLLw5BTmc
Catrinamonblue Resident: a suggestion from my sister :)
    Lucinda Lavender: :) druth
    Aphrodite Macbain: uh oh
    Catrinamonblue Resident: it's great :)
    Catrinamonblue Resident: just listen
druth Vlodovic: no really, it explains everything
    Aphrodite Macbain: compartmental minds
    Aphrodite Macbain: yayy luci
druth Vlodovic: meditation would never have arisen in matriarchal societies
    Aphrodite Macbain: why?
Catrinamonblue Resident: just wait till he talks about the women :)
    Paradise Tennant: smiles
druth Vlodovic: 3:20 is the important part
    druth Vlodovic: sniff, all alone
    Aphrodite Macbain: no ur not
    Aphrodite Macbain: waiting...
druth Vlodovic: have you listened to it?
druth Vlodovic: it explains how the goalof meditation is really feeding into the male psyche
Lucinda Lavender: can you say more?
Catrinamonblue Resident: the nothing box ;)
druth Vlodovic: I suspect the popularity of buddhism is that it is a return to paternalism in an emotionally matriarchal society
Aphrodite Macbain: ah this is where the mediation comes in- the nothing box
    druth Vlodovic: yep
    Paradise Tennant: nothing equals emptiness
    druth Vlodovic: eggzactly!
Aphrodite Macbain: something we are supposed to be searching for
druth Vlodovic: the goal is to sit on a mountain top after years of study in order to achieve what males manage naturally whenever their wives talk for more than five minutes at a stretch
    Catrinamonblue Resident: lol ;)
druth Vlodovic: I have always said that there is no shorter path to wisdom than humourists
Aphrodite Macbain: lacking powers o concentration
druth Vlodovic: depends on what you ask them to concentrate on :)
druth Vlodovic: all that we do is to seek the nothing box
druth Vlodovic: and finish unfurnishing it
    Catrinamonblue Resident: :)
Aphrodite Macbain: furniture movers R us
Catrinamonblue Resident: mens and womens brains explained :)

    --BELL--

druth Vlodovic: in a matriarchy instead of meditation we would have therapists
Aphrodite Macbain: In a matriarchy you would be spanked
Catrinamonblue Resident: everything is connected to everything :)
    Catrinamonblue Resident: lol :) yes
Aphrodite Macbain: and told to clean your room
druth Vlodovic: instead of ridding ourselves of distractions we would be seeking to find how each thing affects all others
    Aphrodite Macbain: in a matriarchy?
druth Vlodovic: the image of the gem reflecting each other gem in existence
    Aphrodite Macbain: nice
    Aphrodite Macbain: like our crowns
Catrinamonblue Resident: well the video explains a lot :) opened my eyes for sure
Catrinamonblue Resident: still love the nothing box
druth Vlodovic: are all things one thing,or is existence an interaction between an infinite variety of factors and influences?
    Aphrodite Macbain: both
druth Vlodovic: one thing infinitely interacting with itself?
Lucinda Lavender: i am curious about the nothing box...
druth Vlodovic: he says later you can't join them in it :(
druth Vlodovic: I think he is just being mean
Lucinda Lavender: who is this he?
    Aphrodite Macbain: who?
    Aphrodite Macbain: join whom?
    druth Vlodovic: Mark Gungor
    Aphrodite Macbain: who?
    druth Vlodovic: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3XjUFYxSxDk
druth Vlodovic: what are you curious about luci?
Aphrodite Macbain: oh the guy on the stage?
Lucinda Lavender: well i had not seen the youtube so am curious...
Aphrodite Macbain: he says that's the diff betwn men and women
    Lucinda Lavender: something about nothingness...
Aphrodite Macbain: Men have a nothing box in their head
Lucinda Lavender: I remember something about this
druth Vlodovic: ah,he basically says that men's brains tend to be sorted into a variety of boxes which don't interact if they can avoid it
Lucinda Lavender: right! i know this guy...
    Lucinda Lavender: not personally
druth Vlodovic: and their fav is a box with nothing in it
Lucinda Lavender: but I remember a vieo
Aphrodite Macbain: It has often been said that men's brains are compartmentalized. They can go from an emotional situation to one where they can be calm and collected
Aphrodite Macbain: It probaby has an adaptive advantage as a hunter
Aphrodite Macbain: and focus on one thing at a time
druth Vlodovic: whereas women are adapted for raising young children, where you can't concentrate on anything for more than a minute
    Aphrodite Macbain: right
Aphrodite Macbain: It has been demonstated that the two lobes of the female brain are linked more than men's brais, so they multi task more easily
    Paradise Tennant: smiles
    Aphrodite Macbain: somethng like that
    Catrinamonblue Resident: :)
Aphrodite Macbain: we are biologically different even in our brains
Aphrodite Macbain: we hae a hard time meditatig, perhaps, because of this
    Aphrodite Macbain: maybe
Aphrodite Macbain: I'll shut up now
Lucinda Lavender: i am aware of another fellow whose name i think was David something and he thought that creating an empty field was more masculine goal
druth Vlodovic: perhaps because meditation itself was developed to enhance the workings of the male brain
Aphrodite Macbain: women want to fill it up?
Lucinda Lavender: had a chance to listen to some views of his ...the way of the superior man
    Aphrodite Macbain: perhaps
Lucinda Lavender: questionable storyies about him but there are interesting ideas there
    Aphrodite Macbain: David Abram??
Lucinda Lavender: no ...hold on will look up

    --BELL--

Lucinda Lavender: David Deida Way of the Superior Man...Sounds true...not sure i liked what came up with some googling but thought it an interesting way of looking at kinds of consciousness.
Aphrodite Macbain: Interesting. Is he a contemporary?
Aphrodite Macbain: sounds like "Man and Superman"
    Lucinda Lavender: not sure
Aphrodite Macbain: David Deida (born March 18, 1958) is an American author who writes about the sexual and spiritual relationship between men and women.[1] His ten books have been published in 25 languages

Paradise Tennant: here is a clip
    Paradise Tennant: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5IZrkMZyEWY
    Paradise Tennant: sorry wrong link
    Paradise Tennant: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UbCnNSZKsr8
Paradise Tennant: here is a slightly longer link
    Catrinamonblue Resident: interesting
druth Vlodovic: this sounds like something I came across in SL
    Aphrodite Macbain: when?
druth Vlodovic: the poor fellow got griefed and didn't know how to deal with trolls, tried to muscle his way through it without having permissions to ban the fellow
Aphrodite Macbain: deeper - funny word
    druth Vlodovic: I don't remember :(
druth Vlodovic: there was a bunch from the philosophy sims there
Aphrodite Macbain: hard to know what to do with trolls
druth Vlodovic: you either ignore them or take effective action
    druth Vlodovic: never engage them
Aphrodite Macbain: I like what this guy is saying
druth Vlodovic: of course in PaB they just listen carefully and respond to the bits that they find interesting
    Aphrodite Macbain: opening is gendered
    druth Vlodovic: an interesting method
Aphrodite Macbain: maybe I hae a masculine essence
    Aphrodite Macbain: have
Catrinamonblue Resident: I think maybe we all have a bit of both female and male in us
    Aphrodite Macbain: yes
Catrinamonblue Resident: ying and yang :)
Aphrodite Macbain: I wonder if there are people who are equally male and female
druth Vlodovic: I suspect it is more complicated than that
Paradise Tennant: hmm I have always thought we were a bit of both
druth Vlodovic: likely that each person has masculine and feminine approaches to different situations
druth Vlodovic: with societal conditioning thrown in for interest
Aphrodite Macbain: I am nervous about categorizing what is m and f
Catrinamonblue Resident: then don't :) we are both
    Catrinamonblue Resident: mixed

    --BELL--

    Aphrodite Macbain: :-)
Paradise Tennant: I think before we are born we have a rough in for both systems .. the genetic code creates a sequential flooding of hormones that give you a priority :) but the other system is still there :))
Catrinamonblue Resident: I have always loved the saying "I am who I am, changing and growing every day" we never stay the same
Catrinamonblue Resident: from day to day
    Lucinda Lavender: so interesting...
druth Vlodovic: I came across a web page ages ago for a guy who was taking hormones and such to become morefemale
druth Vlodovic: it was interesting what he/she said about the effects they had on him
    Aphrodite Macbain: yes?
druth Vlodovic: right down to his thought processes
    Aphrodite Macbain: wow
    Aphrodite Macbain: different hormones
druth Vlodovic: we are biochemical machines
druth Vlodovic: as much as dualists hate to think that :)
Paradise Tennant: yep little bags of water with a few chemicals mixed in
druth Vlodovic: and zaps of lightining
Lucinda Lavender: I can totally relate...I remember that day 17 was the day everything changed...
Lucinda Lavender: there was a different need on day 17
Lucinda Lavender: and it was easy to lose my temper
Lucinda Lavender: and i found it written on many calender months...lost temper...day 17
    druth Vlodovic: :)
    Aphrodite Macbain: !!
Lucinda Lavender: rarely lose temper...so very noticable
Lucinda Lavender: take care of others vs self
    Lucinda Lavender: shift
Aphrodite Macbain: wonders what it was that triggered Luci's temper
    Lucinda Lavender: hormonal change
Lucinda Lavender: usually take care of others...shift to taking care of self
Aphrodite Macbain: sounds like premenstrual blues
    Lucinda Lavender: think so
Lucinda Lavender: it was usually at 5 pm
    Lucinda Lavender: !:))
Lucinda Lavender: what can be called arsenic hour
Lucinda Lavender: for a mom at home with kids
    Catrinamonblue Resident: nods
druth Vlodovic: I'm a bit lost on what was causing all of this, day 17?
    Aphrodite Macbain: hormones
Lucinda Lavender: out of the 28 days ...
Catrinamonblue Resident: slips away quietly good night dear friends
    Lucinda Lavender: good night:)
    druth Vlodovic: 'night cat
    Aphrodite Macbain: night cat
druth Vlodovic: frightening to think we are so at the mercy of such things
druth Vlodovic: like a cork being tossed about in a river
    Paradise Tennant: nite nite
Aphrodite Macbain: we are almost totally at their mercy
    Aphrodite Macbain: night paradise
Paradise Tennant: sorry was saying good nite to Cat just a little late
    Aphrodite Macbain: ah :-)
    druth Vlodovic: bye lag :)
    Aphrodite Macbain: smiles
Lucinda Lavender: interesting being a woman
Paradise Tennant: yes I like it
Paradise Tennant: just think of all the shoes !
    Lucinda Lavender: !!!
Aphrodite Macbain: my feet keep growing so I never will have enough
    Lucinda Lavender: !!!

    --BELL--

Paradise Tennant: you know your ears do keep growing ...
    Aphrodite Macbain: like Pinocchio's nose?
    Paradise Tennant: http://www.doctoroz.com/blog/arthur-perry-md/noses-and-ears-continue-grow-we-age
Aphrodite Macbain: where do you find these ?
Aphrodite Macbain: do our heads grow proportionally?
Paradise Tennant: I do not think so
Paradise Tennant: just our ears and noes
Aphrodite Macbain: so if we got older and older we'd look like Yoda?
    druth Vlodovic: 'night all
    Paradise Tennant: nite nite druth
Aphrodite Macbain: Time to go bye everyone
Lucinda Lavender: i like that skirt druth!
Paradise Tennant: aph do you know where to get one of the pab balloons ?
