Wol Euler: I saw a wonderful thing a few days ago, as I was walking to lunch
Wol Euler: to set the scene, it was a lovely day, superbly clear blue sky, crisp weather, sunny
Wol Euler: first spring-like day of the year, but still cold

Wol Euler: I saw a trio of hawks circling above the churchyard, the first time I'd seen them this year
Wol Euler: they were very low, just above the rooftops
Wol Euler: and I thought they were looking for nesting sites

Wol Euler: I don't know, I don't see them
Wol Euler: I believe they migrate

Wol Euler: anyway, there tehy were. And as I was watching them, my eye was caught by a tiny burst of light flashing, high high high up
Wol Euler: just like a little strobe light going on and off

Wol Euler: it took me a while to see it properly
Wol Euler: it was a pair of V's of blackwinged cranes heading north across the city

Wol Euler: they were so high up that I could only see them as tiny dots, black wing white body black wing
Wol Euler: and the flickering was when they flapped their wings down, hiding the white
Wol Euler: it was incredible

Korel Laloix: My old job I got paid way to much and had rediculous flexibility. So this is very different.
