    druth Vlodovic: often a criminal will be regarded as a hero of sorts, mainly because they did try, doing what we dare not do
    szavanna Resident: For example in the case of Johny Clegg - the white zulu - it seems - he simply didn't see hurdles - he discovered a fascinating world of zulu guitar music - and went to live with the miners to learn about it ... even though it was very dangerous to do so...
    Eliza Madrigal: (there are people who go out and find sensational horrific stories with better looking criminals, etc. to give to so-called news channels)

    Bleu Oleander: so perhaps its good to choose better media sources ... seek out sources that don't sensationalize crimes

    szavanna Resident: for example our local newpaper - has always something terrible on the front page
    szavanna Resident: so tiring to read all that
    Eliza Madrigal: well I find myself even at the grocery store having to sort of guide my son to see through what is being shown, although... he's pretty natural at it anyway, hah

    Eliza Madrigal: but standing in line, one is bombarded... and no matter, we all deal with the level of knowledge of our general society

    Arisia Vita: "Expert" opinions are as common as grains of wheat, and just as needful of a thrashing.

    Eliza Madrigal: but when I got there and told them about my SL lama they were kind of startled, lol
