    Good Morning!!...

Caledonia Heron: hey there Doug :)
    doug Sosa: hi cal.
    Caledonia Heron: rezzing....
    doug Sosa: feels strange, no?
Caledonia Heron: lol, feels strange, yes :)
doug Sosa: its fun to see everyone in their grey sweats. :)
Caledonia Heron: just came from the gym :)
    doug Sosa: me too.
Caledonia Heron: how's life going? haven't seen you for a bit
doug Sosa: life? Wow. Let's see..
doug Sosa: since much of what i do is try to get others to look at the larger picture, i have to look at it too.

    Uh-Oh, better make a plan...

Second Life: Your region will restart in 5 minutes and 0 seconds for maintenance.

    More hello's, more plan making...

doug Sosa: so that is kind of a frame for "how is life going..."
Caledonia Heron: uh oh, restart in 5 min ... what to do?
doug Sosa: lets sit it out rather than leave as in New Orleans.. :)
Caledonia Heron: mmm, ok - or we could go to my place and come back in a bit
    Caledonia Heron: hey Maxine :)
    doug Sosa: hi maxine.
Caledonia Heron: we just got a system message that says the region will restart soon
Maxine Walden: hi, Cal and doug
Maxine Walden: oh, shall we relocate?
doug Sosa: cal is inviting us to her place, outside the region, cause the region is going to shut down in a few minutes.
Caledonia Heron: would you care to come to my place for a few minutes and then we'll return?
    Maxine Walden: love to
    Caledonia Heron: k
    doug Sosa: sure.
    Caledonia Heron: sec

    Gosh, no pressure...

Second Life: Your region will restart in 3 minutes and 0 seconds for maintenance.

    OK, we're on the move...

Caledonia Heron has offered friendship to Maxine Walden
Caledonia Heron has offered friendship to doug Sosa

Caledonia Heron: please accept my friendship so I can tp you
    doug Sosa: done.

Caledonia Heron: we can sit over here :)
Maxine Walden: wow, Cal, lovely place, and love the frogs
    Caledonia Heron: thank you :)
Maxine Walden: oh, and other wildlife too?
    doug Sosa: yes!!
Caledonia Heron: I just redecorated - whole new look :)
Caledonia Heron: nice! you are my first visitors in my redone digs :)
    doug Sosa: delighted.
    doug Sosa: love the postures.
Maxine Walden: yes, what a privilege, sort of back to Nature
Caledonia Heron: yes, indoor/outdoor living :)
Caledonia Heron: you cut your hair Maxine :) cute
Maxine Walden: yes, thanks, trying to update or 'redo' myself a bit
doug Sosa: it just shows the allure of garden connection.
Caledonia Heron: good - I heard you are also making a space for yourself?
doug Sosa: me? Not yet. Waiting to get land..
Caledonia Heron: the allure of garden... you mean the indoor/outdoor living?
    Maxine Walden: yes, I did get a plot on the beach and Storm helped me to get a beach house, really love being more 'inworld';
doug Sosa: yes. i've just finished draft of a book called "gardenworld politics" so ..
Caledonia Heron: cool Maxine - I will come visit :)
    doug Sosa: :)
Caledonia Heron: sounds like a fascinating book Doug
Maxine Walden: oh,yes please do. And doug, does sound fascinating, your book
doug Sosa: i hope so :)

In a fresh element, we take stock of our surroundings...

Caledonia Heron: lol, we're kind of fidgety ... these poses make me laugh
doug Sosa: like we are nervous being together.
Maxine Walden: oh, please say more, doug
    doug Sosa: can't think...:)
Caledonia Heron: or representative of the fact we're always in motion :) I didn't notice how busy my husband was until we flew to Hawaii... man, he was constantly in motion and we were seated on a plane :)
Caledonia Heron: tell me when you think we should go back to the pavillion - I have no idea how long a restart takes
Maxine Walden: Cal, are these poses programmed into your place here, or are they just our avs?
doug Sosa: why not just stay here...?
Maxine Walden: I have not experienced such restlessness with my AV, might be the local wildlife
Caledonia Heron: the poses are scripts contained within the poseballs that are part of the chairs
Maxine Walden: ah, that is interesting, you factor in our 'wildlife' a bit
Caledonia Heron: works for me Doug ... if others come they will not know we decamped
Caledonia Heron: lol, yes Maxine .... we are wildlife :)
doug Sosa: well it was way past the beginning so..
Caledonia Heron: yeah, makes sense Doug ... sometimes people come late
Caledonia Heron: I like the idea of meeting at each others places
doug Sosa: yes. i am looking forward to building.. but how much time did it take?
Caledonia Heron: mmm, I am a shopper, not really a builder
Caledonia Heron: I'm a very good shopper :)
Maxine Walden: it is nice to meet at each others places as well, yes Cal how long to redo your place?
Caledonia Heron: it does take some time to get arranged though
Maxine Walden: ah, and where do you shop, any recommendations?
Caledonia Heron: After I gathered what I wanted, about an hour
Caledonia Heron: before I had a treehouse, this time a gazebo ... I use the search function to find the main piece and go from there
    doug Sosa: who is joey?
Caledonia Heron: plus for me, landscaping and wildlife are important
Caledonia Heron: Joey is the squirrel that's running around out there
Maxine Walden: thanks, don't know joey, oh a squirrel?
Caledonia Heron: I set him on free run so he goes where he likes
Caledonia Heron: he cracks me up

Little kids think about Being too...

Caledonia Heron: I was at a favorite swimming hole Monday
Caledonia Heron: and overheard my daughter talking to her friend
doug Sosa: me too. amazing how visceral our reactions to these littel pixel critters is.
doug Sosa: no, not your daugher... what were they saying?
Caledonia Heron: something like ... "maybe what we're doing is all a dream ... what if we're dreaming about a dream and it's really a dream".... I was blown away
Maxine Walden: that is amazing...how old is your daughter?
Caledonia Heron: I haven't really talked to her about pab
    Caledonia Heron: she is 13
Caledonia Heron: she and her friend are at the point of sorting things out I think
doug Sosa: its the difference between blood and ketchup?
Caledonia Heron: it was so tuned in to the whole pab thing I was caught by surprise
Caledonia Heron: one goes better with french fries :)
Maxine Walden: yes, so interesting, and at that age, so much is new, possible, dreamable
    Caledonia Heron: watch this :)
doug Sosa: both dreaming and being awake. Wake up my beloved.
doug Sosa: oh, how did the screen go up?
Maxine Walden: ah, sheer curtains as doors, wonderful Cal
    Caledonia Heron: lovely Doug :)
    Maxine Walden: Cal's magic
Caledonia Heron: yes, flexi drapes :)

Sometimes an articifical reality reminds us of an old reality, now just as artificial as our memories...

Maxine Walden: special frog, Bull frog?
doug Sosa: there is a house, forty years old, in the berkeley hills, built like this, litttle bigger
    doug Sosa: forty years..
    Caledonia Heron: yes Maxine :)
    Caledonia Heron: very cool Doug
Caledonia Heron: I could camp out like this easy :)
Maxine Walden: ah. love frogs, nice Doug, where in the Berkeley hills?
doug Sosa: i saw it in an architectural mag years ago. Held up with telephone poles.
doug Sosa: i never found the house, cause by the time i "saw" it i was no longer living in Berkeley.
Maxine Walden: it has stayed in your mind for some time
doug Sosa: well, as soon as i arrived here...

I sent out a group IM to let people know where we were, because maybe they were wondering...

    Caledonia Heron: hi Fael :)
    Faenik loves wells!
Fael Illyar: Hi Cal, Maxine, Doug :)
    doug Sosa: hey :)
Caledonia Heron: please join us :)
Maxine Walden: nice to email the group, oh, hi Fael
Caledonia Heron: you got my group im, yes?
    Maxine Walden: im the group
Fael Illyar: Yes, I looked at the clock then :)
doug Sosa: fael tracked us here by smell...
Caledonia Heron: has the region restarted? did you come from the pavilion?
Fael Illyar: no, from my own house :)
    Caledonia Heron: ah ok :)
Caledonia Heron: is it a pab house? or elsewhere?
Fael Illyar: PaB house, this same region :)
Caledonia Heron: awesome, I have not seen it ... may I visit sometime?
    Fael Illyar: Of course :)
    Caledonia Heron: thanks!
doug Sosa: I am having house envy.
Caledonia Heron: I was telling Maxine and Doug I just did an overhaul.... from the treehouse to gazebo :)
Maxine Walden: yes, it would be nice to see each others' places
Fael Illyar: Well, it's mostly built by Moon though :)
    Fael Illyar: It's lovely :)
    Caledonia Heron: thank you :)
    Caledonia Heron: it feels cozy
    Caledonia Heron: and open
Caledonia Heron: at the same time :)
    Fael Illyar: Yes :)

The power of artificial realities, equally as compelling as other aspects of other realities...

doug Sosa: normal clothes feel not quite right here, like something very simple ?
Maxine Walden: very basic, yes, doug
Caledonia Heron: sure, a barefoot place :)
    doug Sosa: barefoot yes.
Maxine Walden: Cal, is that a frog in the middle of that blue flower?
Faenik is a hairy black ball with eyes and ears.
Caledonia Heron: yes, there's a frog by the pond :)
Maxine Walden: oh, I think it is a butterfly in the flower
    Fael Illyar: Yes, butterfly :)
Caledonia Heron: yes, butterflies scattered around
    Maxine Walden: wonderful
Caledonia Heron: plus some birds and of course Joey :)
Caledonia Heron: have not put the beehive back out yet ... still fiddling around
Maxine Walden: haven't see Joey yet
doug Sosa: i love the birch trees behind fael.
Caledonia Heron: he's somewhere out front
Maxine Walden: yes, those are lovely trees
doug Sosa: how can you tell where joey is?
Caledonia Heron: part of why I picked this spot :)
    Fael Illyar: Who's joey?
Caledonia Heron: I know his basic range and look for the movement
    doug Sosa: the local faenik
    Caledonia Heron: a little squirrel
    Fael Illyar: ah, squirrel :)
Caledonia Heron: there he is ... front and center
    Maxine Walden: oh?
    Faenik: why not?
Caledonia Heron: use your camera ... you'll find him :)
Caledonia Heron: he's standing up, eating acorns now :)
    Fael Illyar: :)
Maxine Walden: I see him near the pond
doug Sosa: what goes in in SL doesn't have to come out.
    Caledonia Heron: yes, that's right
Maxine Walden: it is amazing the emotional atmosphere available here in SL, what these 'illusions' can create in terms of experience
doug Sosa: violates th third law of thermodynamics
Caledonia Heron: yes, it's very compelling isn't it?
Maxine Walden: what violates the third law, doug?
Caledonia Heron: when I try to explain the power of sl to people who are skeptical that's the part they don't get... I tell them, you just have to try it :)
doug Sosa: the third: stuff in = stuff out :)
doug Sosa: in this case, acorns
Fael Illyar: Yes, "no one can be told what "The Matrix" is, you have to experience it for yourself" suits here :P
Maxine Walden: lol, doug. I am beginning to sense that if one immerses into sl the possibility for very creative imagination is possible, a rather new thought for me
Caledonia Heron: my gosh Maxine, it's huge
Caledonia Heron: today I have purple hair and a whole new house :)
Caledonia Heron: it's whatever I make up on any given day

Ownership of your reality, whichever one it is...

Fael Illyar: the speed with which you can make things is ... well, very fast.
Fael Illyar: after initial learning period
    Maxine Walden: all these 'realities'
    Caledonia Heron: yes Fael, absolutely
    Faenik: why not?
Fael Illyar: so far I've mostly concentrated on my AV though.
Caledonia Heron: just like each of our own everyday realities :)
Caledonia Heron: avs are fun, for sure :)
Caledonia Heron: Maxine cut her hair, I foresee more transformation soon :)
Fael Illyar: Yes, I'm looking forward to more :)
    Fael Illyar likes the change.
    Caledonia Heron: me too :)
Maxine Walden: smiles; hope so, stay tuned! Hoping to get some new clothes and try new stuff
    doug Sosa: yes.
    Caledonia Heron: cool!
Maxine Walden: taken awhile, but we each have our timing in these things
Fael Illyar: if you need some pointers, I can give you some landmarks and perhaps even show you around if the timing is right :)
    doug Sosa: landmarks for..?
Caledonia Heron: good idea Fael, yes I have lm's too
Fael Illyar: places where you can get things :)
    doug Sosa: ah.
Caledonia Heron: hair, skin, clothes, plants, houses, furniture, you name it :)
Maxine Walden: I had not fully recognized how much I was holding onto RL ways prior. Thanks, Fael, I am sure you could be very helpful, would appreciate landmarks and such
Maxine Walden: yes, signposts to all those things would be most helpful
Caledonia Heron: typically people redo their av first, then their environment
Caledonia Heron: and when you start on the av, first it's hair and skin :)
Fael Illyar: Yes, I'm still mostly doing things with my AV :)
Maxine Walden: oh, can see that sequence
doug Sosa: i just got stuck with mine and now I am beginning to look like it!
    Caledonia Heron: lol Doug!

Where do you stand with Being?... (joke alert)...

Caledonia Heron: hey, have you consisdered the appreciate the presence of appearance as a presentation by Being aspect?
Fael Illyar: although, I'm going in a bit unsual direction and designing new wings now :)
doug Sosa: something to live up too, like an arranged marriage.
Fael Illyar: well ... for the last 2 months actually :)
Fael Illyar: been slowly getting faster doing it without getting attached to it :)
Fael Illyar: used to be I could spend just a few minutes at a time.
Caledonia Heron: sometimes I get this falling vertigo response, others, more like wow, it's amazing how complicated this stuff that's made up is :)
doug Sosa: i notice that when i am around, being often doesn't pay attention to me.
    doug Sosa: (joke).
    Faenik loves wells!
Maxine Walden: what is your experience in the appearance as a presentation of Being
Caledonia Heron: do you owe Being money Doug?
    Caledonia Heron: [another joke :)]
    Maxine Walden: lol
doug Sosa: no but it owes me!
Fael Illyar: :) that one made me laugh.
    Caledonia Heron: LOL,
Caledonia Heron: I think Being might consider itself paid in full :)
doug Sosa: that's part of why it is so... unconcerned and smug.
    Caledonia Heron: funny
    Fael Illyar: just unconcerned
Maxine Walden: paid in full and maybe we are too when we can pay attention to Being (pun on paying)
Caledonia Heron: yes, good one Maxine
Caledonia Heron: there's a funny SpongeBob joke on that too
Maxine Walden: unconcerned maybe but not necessarily indifferent?
    Maxine Walden: SpongeBob?
Caledonia Heron: SpongeBob Squarepants, do you know it?
    Maxine Walden: nope
Fael Illyar: indifferent is different :)
Caledonia Heron: ah, ok, it's kids sprogramming, really hilarious about a little square sponge that works at the Crusty Crab flipping crabby patties

[The joke is that SpongeBob is talking about Mr. Crabs, saying he is soooo cheap, he can't even "pay" attention]

Would Being miss us?...a brass tack here...

Caledonia Heron: I think being is absolutely indifferent
    Faenik: indeed?
Maxine Walden: ah, don't see kids programming much these days, thanks
Caledonia Heron: yes Faenik, I do
    Maxine Walden: indifferent, Cal?
doug Sosa: oh, i really do not think it is indifferent. we are part of its completion it would miss if something wasn't there.
doug Sosa: i usually feel that being meets me more than half way.
    Caledonia Heron: hmmm, interesting
doug Sosa: we have accommodated to each other..
Caledonia Heron: I think it's what it is, and sometimes I see it better than others
Fael Illyar: there's no 'we' :)
doug Sosa: we in the sense that, if not me, then something else, but something. no holes in being.
Fael Illyar: although it's sometimes interesting to think with that assumption :)
Fael Illyar: my view is that self is a filter and Being is behind it.
Caledonia Heron: if you think of self as an appearance of sorts, even the self would be Being, yes?
doug Sosa: the filter has qualities?
    doug Sosa: even personality?
    Faenik: ????^^
Fael Illyar: the filter directs the seeing.
Fael Illyar: and possibly colours it
Fael Illyar: and can modify itself.

    Doug and Maxine vaporize...

doug Sosa: no bells, lost track of time, ... i needs must go bye :) thanks for hosting, beautiful, all of you too.
Fael Illyar: Ok, see you later Doug :)
    doug Sosa is Offline
Caledonia Heron: ok, nice to see you Doug :) stop by anytime :)
    Caledonia Heron: gosh, he's quick
Fael Illyar: it's interesting to have people using the bells for timers in the meetings :)
Maxine Walden: sorry I had to take a phonecall, and now must go. Appreciate the conversation you have been having last few minutes and would love to continue this notion of self and Being...
Fael Illyar: Ok, talk to you later Maxine :)
Caledonia Heron: ok Maxine nice to see you ... let me know if you need sl help :)
Caledonia Heron: stop by anytime :)
Fael Illyar: yes, I'm available often too :)
Maxine Walden: Will see you both later ...thanks to you both for your offers
    Maxine Walden: bye
    Caledonia Heron: bye :)

    Turning pixels to pennies...

Fael Illyar: it's been a while since I last went shopping for much. Lately I just go look at what I heard from friends.
Caledonia Heron: me too .... it kind of comes in spurts... I get an idea to do something and go nuts for a short while, then lay low
Fael Illyar: ah, yes, me too :)
Fael Illyar: designing new wings is a bit bigger task than going nuts for a short while though :)
    Faenik: why not?
Caledonia Heron: yes, I can see that it might ... the ones you have on look so delicate
Fael Illyar: still inexperienced doing it and ... well ... ok, my first wings were made like that :)
Fael Illyar: what I'm wearing now is the first I've ever made
Caledonia Heron: really? very nice :)
Fael Illyar: took around 3-4 days with around 25 hours spent :)
    Caledonia Heron: wow, intense!
Fael Illyar: click on them if you want to see them brighter for a moment :)
Caledonia Heron: oh wow! that's amazing
Caledonia Heron: it's an on/off script?
    Fael Illyar: not on/off :)
Fael Illyar: they react to my movement :)
    Caledonia Heron: oh, I see
    Caledonia Heron: very cool
    Caledonia Heron: nice job
    Fael Illyar: thank you :)
    Faenik: ????^^
Fael Illyar wonders if the brightness period from clicking could use increasing...
Caledonia Heron: yes, a little longer would be lovely .....
    Fael Illyar: how about now?
Fael Illyar: well... not really longer but brighter
Caledonia Heron: yes, they are brighter when I click them
    Caledonia Heron: nice
Fael Illyar: been a while since I touched the script :)
Fael Illyar: I'll try a bit less bright :)
Caledonia Heron: yeah, it's funny when code goes cold.... you have to look it over a bit :)
    Faenik loves wells!
Fael Illyar: oh, settings were reset too.
Fael Illyar goes poking at the defaults
    Caledonia Heron: lol, it's endless!
Fael Illyar: yes, now it works :)
    Caledonia Heron: yeah, looks good!
Caledonia Heron: you could sell those
Caledonia Heron: maybe you already do :)
Fael Illyar: I've been planning to but not managed yet :)
Fael Illyar: and there's a new design coming up with a trick that'll help me give these a 3d look :)
Caledonia Heron: wow, that will be a nice touch
Fael Illyar: Yes, something to see from every angle :)
Fael Illyar: at the moment they sort of vanish if you look from the side
Caledonia Heron: yes, they do ...3D will be a great addition

    Sigh-yo-nar-uh Fael-san...

    Caledonia Heron: uh-oh ... phone
    Fael Illyar: :)
    Caledonia Heron: gotta scoot :)
Fael Illyar: ok, have fun :)
Caledonia Heron: bye, see you soon :)
    Fael Illyar: you too :)
