    Eos Amaterasu: "Eyewitness Being"

    --BELL--

    Eos Amaterasu: Bonjour, Eden
Eden Haiku: Bonjour Eos. Trouble sitting with viewer 2 ;-)
    Eos Amaterasu: Hmm...
    Eos Amaterasu: ah, there
    Eos Amaterasu: eyewitness being /
Eden Haiku: The cushion is in edit mode, well..
    Eos Amaterasu: (that's 8 syllables)
    Eden Haiku: Tanka?
    Eos Amaterasu: ?
    Eos Amaterasu: ¿
Eden Haiku: Was wondering if you were writing a tanks ;-)
    Eden Haiku: *tanka
    Eos Amaterasu: what's a tanks?
    Eos Amaterasu: *tanka
Eden Haiku: I have been using an alarm on my iPod as you did on your iPHone.
    Eos Amaterasu: ah
    Eden Haiku: Wonderful experience!
    Eos Amaterasu: Every 15 minutes?
Eden Haiku: Otherwise, I remember the 15 minutes only 25 minutes or even 3 hours later!

Eden Haiku: Yes, did it for a whole day, for 12 hours.
Eos Amaterasu: That would be one way to do a retreat

Eden Haiku: But then on Sunday, I was with people so I put it off...Do you keep yours permanently?
Eos Amaterasu: Say, on sunday we all do this, using whatever devices or tricks to actually do the 9 secs every 15 minutes

    --BELL--

Eos Amaterasu: A retreat, in a sense, that's intermittent
Eden Haiku: Love your idea Eos. Only wondering about Sunday... is that the good day?
Eos Amaterasu: Could be any day
Eos Amaterasu: It needs a catchy name
Eden Haiku: For me, during a social gathering, it would be more difficult and Sundays...
Eden Haiku: Yes, let us play with the idea. I think it is great!

Eos Amaterasu: So what was your experience when you did this?
Eden Haiku: I felt connected to myself throughout the day. Grounded too. Very pleasurable.
Eden Haiku: I got tired of it at the end and stopped late at night.

    Eden Haiku:  ;-) Calvino...
    Eos Amaterasu: HI Calvino
    Eos Amaterasu: "eyewitness being"
    Calvino Rabeni: Hi, what's happening?
Eos Amaterasu: it's easy, man :-)

Eden Haiku: Is there a way to reset the timer automatically Eos?
Eos Amaterasu: That was the problem with my iPhone timer: I had to manually get it going again each time.
Eos Amaterasu: Should look again for suitable apps

Eos Amaterasu: You look changed by your East Asian trip, Calvino
Eden Haiku: Yes, espacially if we do it as a group, it would be better if the times would not get spaced...
    Eos Amaterasu: Synchronize clocks
Eden Haiku: At the end of the day, I was stopping at 10,27 or 11,43...whatever...
Eos Amaterasu: Putting up little reminders is another way

Eden Haiku: Not sure about the cap with the sarong though Calvino... you are kind of in- between worlds I guess?
Calvino Rabeni: I'm a cultural collage now - half monk, half US urbanite.
    Eden Haiku: smiles
    Eos Amaterasu: cultural recombinant
Calvino Rabeni: I walk the theravada walk, but I talk the neomarxist jive talk
    Eos Amaterasu: yo, bro!
    Eden Haiku: ;-)

Eden Haiku: What do you mean by little reminders Eos?
Eos Amaterasu: Well, the little ding every 15 minutes is a pretty blatant reminder
Eos Amaterasu: But almost anything can serve as that, and it doesn't have to be "on the clock"
Eden Haiku: Ah yes, but how to remember to restart all the time. Sometimes I thought about it 5 minutes later only...
Calvino Rabeni: I had a digital watch for that in the Nineties.
Eos Amaterasu: punctuating at random times is also good
Calvino Rabeni: One of those sports jobbies
Eos Amaterasu: Also you can catch yourself being suspended
Eden Haiku: Yes, you are right. I liked the idea of structuring the stopping very much.
Eos Amaterasu: because you were engaged with or holding on to something
Calvino Rabeni: It might not be too hard to whip up a custom app for the IPhone or Google Phone. What would you like it to do?
Eos Amaterasu: and the next thing is on its way, but has not yet come
Eden Haiku: I stopped, froze, breathed, or moved sometimes, even danced once or twice.
Eos Amaterasu: so everything's already dropped
    Eos Amaterasu: the big easy
Eden Haiku: Yes, sometimes you can feel the pull of action...
Eden Haiku: I wrote some haikus after each stopping (it doubled the time for my house chores).
Eos Amaterasu: eyewitness being / everything's already dropped /
Eos Amaterasu: (please complete haiku :-)
    Eden Haiku: syllables all cyberpunked
Eos Amaterasu: (my iPhone just dinged :-)

    eyewitness being
    everything's already dropped
    syllables all cyberpunked

Eos Amaterasu: I like that :-)

    --BELL--

Eden Haiku: Calvino, what we would need would be an app that would have a timer that would be recurrent evry 15 minutes...
Eos Amaterasu: to help with a day where everywhere gets their PaB timers going for the day

    Eos Amaterasu: global PaB madness
Eden Haiku: That would be great Eos, let us try to organize this. ;-)

Eden Haiku: Why not Tuesdays and we report at your 7PM session, lightly?
Eos Amaterasu: So Sunday's not the best day of the week (Eden was saying):
    Eos Amaterasu: how about Saturday?
Eden Haiku: Maybe it is feasable on Sunday too..
Eos Amaterasu: and then we get together at guardian meeting
Eos Amaterasu: do it during the guardian meeting
Eden Haiku: Saturday would be good for me. I did it on Saturday May 1st.
Eos Amaterasu: kept strict union time :-)
Eden Haiku: I posted the haikus of that experiment on my contribution page:  http://bit.ly/9fBpGw
Eden Haiku: Yes, Saturday sounds good to me Eos.
Eos Amaterasu: Ah, Sonar sound is what I use for timing signal (also use that at RL retreats) :-)
Eos Amaterasu: This is wonderful reporting, Eden!

Eden Haiku: Sonar... Maybe I remembered you saying that too. I am such a copycat! It is the best of the sounds isn,it?
Eos Amaterasu: Of the standard sounds I liked it the best
Eos Amaterasu: A loon sound would also be good
    Eos Amaterasu: From Eden's page:

    Feeling connected
To myself with a light thread
    Throughout the whole day

Eden Haiku: Talking about sounds, did you guys heard the beautiful chanting Storm added to his prayer wheels at his new temple?
    Eos Amaterasu: continuity furthers
Eos Amaterasu has not been there
Calvino Rabeni: No, where is Storm's new temple?
Eos Amaterasu: life lived in haiku /
Eos Amaterasu: footprints of Eden being /
Eden Haiku: Storms, new temple is right behinfd you Calvino, I see it from here,if you turn your head ;-)
Eos Amaterasu: now my timer dings!

    stevenaia Michinaga: ooops

Eden Haiku: SL I ching Steve?
    stevenaia Michinaga: nods
    Eden Haiku: How interesting!
Eden Haiku: I love I Ching.
    stevenaia Michinaga: Pila runs it
Eden Haiku: I consulted the Kuan Yin oracle this morning. A beautiful oracle, as usual ;-)
    Eos Amaterasu: URL or landmark?
Eden Haiku: Oh PIla does! Must be fun do you onigokko I Ching?
stevenaia Michinaga: I can tp you, I think I will head over before it breaks up
    stevenaia Michinaga: :)
    stevenaia Michinaga: no
    Eos Amaterasu: Hmm
    Eos Amaterasu: I must go

Eos Amaterasu: but "drop day", or whatever we call it,
Eos Amaterasu: seems like a fun idea

Eden Haiku: Here is the Kuan Yin oracle I got this morning:

The evergreens endure the harshest winters.
They give of their sweetness in the spring.
They give of their strength even after the axe has fallen.

    Eos Amaterasu: ah!
Eos Amaterasu: cuts to the core

Eden Haiku: Yes, let us discuss yor suggestion at the next guardian ?    meeting Eos maybe?
    Eos Amaterasu: Sure!
Eden Haiku: I also have to leave. Good night to you both.
Eos Amaterasu: Good evening, Calvino, Eden!
