The Guardian for this meeting was Pema Pera. The comments are by Pema Pera.

Pema Pera: Hi Lucinda and Storm!
    Storm Nordwind: Good evening!
    Lucinda Lavender: Good evening
Pema Pera: Lucinda, glad to hear you have agreed to become a Play as Being guardian -- welcome to our happy little troupe!
    Lucinda Lavender: thank so much!
Storm Nordwind is also very pleased :)
Lucinda Lavender: it is exciting to meet so many minds...
Pema Pera: yes, it's a delightful mix
Storm Nordwind: Perhaps one day you might wish to jump in and have a guardian plot in the village too, like many of our colleagues. I can tell you about that some time, if you're interested
    Lucinda Lavender: an interesting idea...
Storm Nordwind: But it comes with a 'health warning' - you may get addicted to building things (like Bleu recently did!)
    Lucinda Lavender: hmmm
Pema Pera: she became addicted to building and to community building through building projects, a very meta-builder!
Lucinda Lavender: I will take that under advisement then:)
    Storm Nordwind: hehe!
Pema Pera: have you had a chance to stroll through our village? It's due North of here.
    Lucinda Lavender: oh yes..
Lucinda Lavender: I have wandered though many times
Lucinda Lavender: making up stories perhaps about the intentions behind them
    Pema Pera: :-)
    Pema Pera: "stones that speak"
Storm Nordwind: what a wonderfully creative musing :)
Lucinda Lavender: Some seem playful and some spiritual.
Storm Nordwind: Yes. Some artistically expressive and some social. And of course, many mixes of all these :)
    Lucinda Lavender: yes!
Lucinda quickly rises to the challenge.
Lucinda Lavender: I was picturing making a wheel actually
Storm Nordwind: Oh? :) Please say more!
Lucinda Lavender: In the dream work I have done there is a color wheel for the directions
Lucinda Lavender: It would be interesting to creat a wheel to look at I was thinking
Storm Nordwind: Interesting. Would this be a large wheel one could sit in or walk through? Or something portable perhaps?
Lucinda Lavender: well sitting on it would be nice I think...
Lucinda Lavender: I like portable things tho.
    Lucinda Lavender: something to ponder...
    Storm Nordwind nods
Lucinda Lavender: perhaps when I know more about the process it would make more sense one way or another.
    --BELL--
Pema Pera having somewhat mischievous images of treadmills, strolling from dream to dream, treading lightly . . .
    Lucinda Lavender: hee hee
Storm Nordwind imagines a flying carpet made of such a wheel, and touching a color sends you to the rising sun or the setting moon...
Lucinda Lavender: ah! yes. the picture I have is of a carpet one could rool out...It would have8 directions
Lucinda Lavender: these directions would be different colors and might have note cards attached
Lucinda Lavender: perhaps I could bring objects to place there...
Storm Nordwind: We own nearly all of this sim. (each sim if 65536 square metres and we own all but 1024 sqm) We have 7 of those eight directions and we're close to the eighth. (Though the village hall takes the northerly spot) So yes... it could probably be done.
Lucinda Lavender: So have you aquired it over time and what does this depend upon?
Storm Nordwind grins at Pema :)
Pema searching his memory banks . . . it did take a long time to acquire :-)
Storm Nordwind: yes we acquired it bit by bit...
Storm Nordwind: over the last two years...
Storm Nordwind: though we had rather more in total once upon a time...
Storm Nordwind: and we found that was an onerous burden to keep it up (in other sims) so we game most of it away
    Lucinda Lavender: I see
Storm Nordwind: But we've manged to get most of this sim and the one immediately to the north
    Lucinda Lavender: HI Eliza!
Eliza Madrigal: Hi Lucinda, Pema, Storm :)
    Pema Pera: Good evening Eliza!
Storm Nordwind: Hi Eliza - my word, what a dress!
    Eliza Madrigal smiles, thanks!
Storm Nordwind also admires the henna
Lucinda Lavender: Is it a sari?
    Eliza Madrigal nods
    Lucinda Lavender: lovely!
    Eliza Madrigal: :) thanks... playing
Storm Nordwind: It's fun to watch henna being applied like that in RL :)
Eliza Madrigal: My daughter spent a few days last week, applying lemon juice to her arm to cause it to appear more clearly....
Pema Pera enjoying th color coordination of Lucinda and Eliza :)
Eliza Madrigal: she'd attended an event at school, but I think they need some practice there. hah
    Eliza Madrigal: :)
    Lucinda Lavender: starting tho...
I went back to a old topic.
Pema Pera: do you see SL as a possible kind of bridge to dreams, Lucinda? (we talked about that quite a while ago, but I don't quite remember where we left off then)
Storm Nordwind must slip away quietly now. Good night all and dream well :))
    Lucinda Lavender: Yes
    Lucinda Lavender: good night
    Pema Pera: night Storm!
    Eliza Madrigal: wow, fast exit
    Pema Pera: indeed!
Eliza Madrigal: (bye Storm - via the log)
    --BELL--
Lucinda Lavender: I seem to have brought alot of dream talk into PAB this last few days
Pema Pera is a few days behind in reading chat logs
Eliza Madrigal: Oh, those talks have been very welcomed Lucinda :)
Lucinda Lavender: for me the dreams have been a place of play and creative expression...and a spiritual practice
Eliza Madrigal: I'm afraid I've bombarded you Lucinda, asking so many questions about your group...
Eliza Madrigal: but it is quite interesting!
Eliza Madrigal: And the idea of not owning dreams is something surprisingly profound
Lucinda Lavender: I am happy to have the questions really because I like to look at how I answer them in a different group...
Eliza Madrigal: Or at least it hit me that way :) So thank you
Lucinda Lavender: your curiousity is appreciated
Eliza Madrigal: :) thank Goodness, because it seems endless
    Lucinda Lavender: :)
Lucinda Lavender: I am curious about the science of things tho I am not a scientist
Eliza Madrigal: Pema, we had two really nice sessions yesterday, about dreams mostly... even Wol up at 4AM (in last night's session)
    Pema Pera: wow!
Pema Pera: looking forward to reading those
    Homework!
Lucinda Lavender: the possibilty that dreams are about what is unfolding in the universe
    Eliza Madrigal: Being dreaming unfolding?
Lucinda Lavender: The stories we create have characteryes
Eliza Madrigal: brb, door bell... hm pretty late
Eliza Madrigal: Oh, sorry about that
Eliza Madrigal: I'd forgotten that my son was at a friend's house... terrible mom :)
    Pema Pera: :-)
Lucinda Lavender: I have more to say but make many starts and then delete...
Pema Pera: I know the feeling, Lucinda!
    Eliza Madrigal deletes a lot!
Lucinda Lavender: dreaming can be present in waking but the story we wake up with can have great possibility
Lucinda Lavender: and it tells what the consciousness experiences in the void...
Eliza Madrigal: hm, as a window into the day? Or?
    Eliza Madrigal: Ah
Lucinda Lavender: for me it is often a window on the day...
Eliza Madrigal: With all of our dreaming talk yesterday, I dreamt last night that I was watching myself, watching myself in a dream lab, dreaming myself... hehe
    Pema Pera: :-)
Pema Pera: was there an SL element in it as well, perhaps?
Lucinda Lavender: but waking up refreshed with an image can mean that that was done in the dream also.
Eliza Madrigal: I guess because in a sense we sort of 'look in' on ourselves here
Lucinda Lavender: If we were helping in the dream...we may have actually done that there...or at least it was a possibility
Lucinda Lavender: yes there is the witnessing
Lucinda Lavender: of self and others
    --BELL--
Eliza Madrigal: I don't recall much of an SL element, though yes characters met through SL :)
Pema Pera: in a way, each day of our waking life we are busy living stories, our own and those of others, in some kind of rich tapestry . . . .
Eliza Madrigal: mm yes certainly... and I wonder how the timing of it looks when we back up... like when a dream from years before becomes meaningful 'now'... etc
Pema Pera: yes, it's amazing how sometimes memories of dreams from years ago seem more vivid and "real" than memories from events from years ago
    Eliza Madrigal nods, indeed
Lucinda Lavender: they can be pretty vivid!
Pema Pera: or even childhood dreams
Eliza Madrigal: Do you remember childhood dreams Pema?
Haha, that's what I get for casual remarks :-)
Pema Pera: there are a few, yes
    Lucinda Lavender: any favorites?
Eliza Madrigal: wow, that seems so interesting to me... don't think I remember them at all
Pema Pera: hmmmm, there is one that is strangely abstract
Pema Pera: I think I was eight or so, or seven perhaps
Pema Pera: all I remember is the end, very vividly
Pema Pera: I start drawing or spinning or somehow producing a line, or thread
Pema Pera: starting at the lower right corner of my field of vision
Lucinda Lavender: I have just been hearing from a friend who always visits her grandparents house which was a peaceful place for her.
Pema Pera: and my intention is to connect it with a point in the left upper corner
    Lucinda Lavender: yes?
Pema Pera: and at first I manage to produce a line, diagonally, about halfway
Pema Pera: but then it becomes increasingly difficult
Pema Pera: like trying to push two magnets with the same polarity towards each other
Pema Pera: and the line begins to meander more and more, giving me a hopeless sinking feeling
Pema Pera: which went together with a very specific taste
    Lucinda Lavender: interesting!
Pema Pera: as if biting into metal or something like that, hard to describe, but very recognizable
    Eliza Madrigal: hmm
Pema Pera: and about once every few years the taste returns
Pema Pera: the whole dream strikes me as a kind of natural koan
While telling the story, I was surprised at how vivid the memory still is, though probably by now mixed with memories of memories of . . .
Eliza Madrigal: my goodness... at 8 and to remember that so clearly
Lucinda Lavender: wonder if it could be related to food ingested...
Pema Pera: an invitation/calling/challenge to connect the seemingly unconnectable . . . .
    Eliza Madrigal: :)
    Eliza Madrigal: a metal taste?
Pema Pera: because the taste comes up when focusing especially on that kind of bridging challenge
Pema Pera: something like that, the best I can describe
Pema Pera: somehow almost physically related to a sense in my teeth
Lucinda Lavender: maybe there are chemical situations that develop in the body..and that the dream expresses it too.
Pema Pera: like eathing rubarber, a bit like that
    Lucinda Lavender: umm
    Pema Pera: rubarb?
Eliza Madrigal: something you've been working on for a long time
    Lucinda Lavender: very adidic?
    Lucinda Lavender: sorry, acidic
Eliza Madrigal has only eaten rhubarb pie :)
Pema Pera: I'm sure everything mental has physical counterparts in our body, but in this case I dout that the chemical component was the driver
Lucinda Lavender: the fish oil my husband takes creates a similar effect
Pema Pera: (ah, that's how you spell it :-)
Eliza Madrigal: :) the Amish make an amazing rhubarb pie
Pema Pera: sugar takes care of the teeth-eating feeling :-)
Lucinda Lavender: perhaps you draw in your dreams...and design there?
Rereading the log now, I realized I completely missed this question.  No, normally I don't and certainly not when I was young, as far as I remember at least.
Eliza Madrigal: not at all metallic ... but its a wonderful dream Pema... and yes does seem like a koan
Pema Pera: metallic in that when you bit on some metals, and have metal fillings, you feel a kind of current in your teeth
Pema Pera: and when you eat rhubarb, as a pure vegetable, it can also "eat" your teeth
Pema Pera: that's the correspondence :)
    Eliza Madrigal: Ah :)
Pema Pera: so perhaps something was eating me :-)
    Pema Pera: the challenge . . . .
Eliza Madrigal: yes, that 'you' couldn't connect the points ...
Lucinda Lavender: and interrupting the work
Eliza Madrigal: that would bug me too... hehe
Pema Pera: or I was clinching my teeth too much, who knows, haha
    --BELL--
Pema Pera: great talking with you both!
    Pema Pera: sweet dreams :-)
Eliza Madrigal: You too Pema! Night and pleasant dreams
    Pema Pera: bfn
Since I left at this point, I'm leaving the rest of the log uncommented.
Lucinda Lavender: thank you:) same for you...
Eliza Madrigal: Do you remember childhood dreams as well, Lucinda?
    Lucinda Lavender: only a few
    Eliza Madrigal: Hi Paradise! :)
Paradise Tennant: hiya eliza lucinda .. :)
Lucinda Lavender: one when I was about 12
    Lucinda Lavender: Hi Paradise!
Lucinda Lavender: In it I thought I was about to die!
    Eliza Madrigal: Eek
Lucinda Lavender: I am describing a dream Paradise...
    Paradise Tennant: listens
Lucinda Lavender: I created a story there where I dream knew that my arms would fall asleep.. 2 times and then I would die. It was like from the finger tips up.
    Eliza Madrigal: like a test?
Lucinda Lavender: My mother in the dream was going to take me to a psychologist.
Lucinda Lavender: well like a pattern
    Eliza Madrigal: hm
Lucinda Lavender: So on the way to the appoint ment in the dream,
Lucinda Lavender: I saw a puddle on the ground.
Lucinda Lavender: it had ribbons of rainbow color in it.
Lucinda Lavender: I thought or dream knew that this was what was left after we die.
Eliza Madrigal: oh my... that's rather beautiful... though a very serious dream for a 12 yo
Lucinda Lavender: I then awoke...and both of my arms were asleep in real life.
    Paradise Tennant: ouch !
    Paradise Tennant: spooky
    Lucinda Lavender: I was terrified
    Paradise Tennant: i bet
Lucinda Lavender: but here the body was making up its story...
Eliza Madrigal: yes, like when it rains and you dream of water...
Lucinda Lavender: and the dreamer made some interesting connection to a 'soul" kind of idea.
Lucinda Lavender: That we have a part that is colorful and last after death is very interesting for a child dreaming.
Paradise Tennant: dreams seem to be a direct tap to deep currents so to speak :)
    Lucinda Lavender: yes...
Eliza Madrigal: I like that phrasing, Paradise!
    Lucinda Lavender: yes!
Lucinda Lavender: remember your dreams much Paradise?
Paradise Tennant: there is a poem by rumi where he talks of our soul being a river within us ..like a current of energy
Paradise Tennant: no .. but when I do they are vivid
Eliza Madrigal: (apologies for changing right here but interesting conversation and I've just been asked to attend a wedding)
    Paradise Tennant: wow
    Paradise Tennant: cool
    Eliza Madrigal: ah.... love Rumi
    Lucinda Lavender: love rumi too
Eliza Madrigal: and yes ... streams ...
Lucinda Lavender: is it a 2L wedding?
Eliza Madrigal: Okay... let me stand and see how if look presentable :)
    Lucinda Lavender: must be...
    Eliza Madrigal: yes :)
    Lucinda Lavender: wow beautiful!
Eliza Madrigal: I'd never dress this flashy for a rl wedding
    Eliza Madrigal: hehe
    Paradise Tennant: lovely eliza :)
Lucinda Lavender: have a great time...
Eliza Madrigal: Thank you :) Nice talking to you both, sorry to rush away... never been to a 2l wedding actually
    Eliza Madrigal: :::waves::::
    Lucinda Lavender: waving too...
Paradise Tennant: smiles have a great nite eilza
Lucinda Lavender: this morning I dreamt of travelling up in to the highest part of a house..
Paradise Tennant: you have studied dreams lucinda must be fascinating
    Lucinda Lavender: yes
    --BELL--
Paradise Tennant: what kind of information or insight do you find surfaces ...
Lucinda Lavender: I get information about the people I love and and some kkkkkkkkkkkother things as well
    Lucinda Lavender: oops
Paradise Tennant: wonders if it is just random or there is a pattern
Lucinda Lavender: it often reflects things that will happen.
    Paradise Tennant: ahhh
    Paradise Tennant: deja vue
Lucinda Lavender: randomess is part of it
Lucinda Lavender: I tend to dream on certain themes
    Lucinda Lavender: do you?
Paradise Tennant: i seldom do but have had a few repeating dreams
Paradise Tennant: one was a nightmare .. dreamt I was being eaten ..could hear my bone crunching .. had that nightmare repeatedly when I was around 12 and then it went away in a few months
    Paradise Tennant: not terribly pleasant
Paradise Tennant: being eaten must say !
    Paradise Tennant: really hurt
    Lucinda Lavender: aw!
    Lucinda Lavender: sorry...
    Paradise Tennant: smiles no worries
Paradise Tennant: use to sail quite a bit and have dreams where I am sailing
Paradise Tennant: always just a beautiful feeling
Lucinda Lavender: that is such an exhilerating experience! certainly dreamy
    Paradise Tennant: smiles yes
Paradise Tennant: so for you dreams have foretold what was to come
    Lucinda Lavender: yes
Lucinda Lavender: I am settled with it now tho
Lucinda Lavender: it is comfirmation that we are all connected I guess.
Paradise Tennant: smiles must be a bit alarming at times
Lucinda Lavender: yes one was on 9/11
    Lucinda Lavender: the morning of...
Paradise Tennant: yes was listening to a great talk by gil fronsdal ..today while cleaning he likened us to pumpkins
    Lucinda Lavender: ?
Paradise Tennant: we just need to feel the vine on our heads to know we are all one plant
    Lucinda Lavender: he he!
Lucinda Lavender: and when some are concentrating on something...we might just pick up on it...
    Paradise Tennant: yes
Paradise Tennant: you keep a journal a dream journal
Lucinda Lavender: yes...tho I forgot to write in it today
Paradise Tennant: must be like a trip diary ..only you do not have the air fare expense :)
Lucinda Lavender: that is one way to see that things are hinted at in the future
    Lucinda Lavender: yes...
Lucinda Lavender: I think we notice more that we realize as well
Paradise Tennant: yes .. lots of information does make it to consciousness but is still there on some levels
    --BELL--
    Paradise Tennant: http://www.audiodharma.org/talks-gil.html
Paradise Tennant: i missed one of your sentences you dreamt about 9/11
Lucinda Lavender: then if we are listening we can ponder it and realize that what is going on is developing a resonace of sorts
Lucinda Lavender: thanks! for the link...
    Paradise Tennant: smiles
Lucinda Lavender: how did you find this place?
    Paradise Tennant: lol
Paradise Tennant: was shopping for saris
    Paradise Tennant: smiles stumbled in
Paradise Tennant: but a lovely ..interesting group of people
    Lucinda Lavender: yes...
Lucinda Lavender: have you built things here?
    Paradise Tennant: i garden
    Lucinda Lavender: ah!
Paradise Tennant: but that is more rezzing than building
    Lucinda Lavender: oh!
Lucinda Lavender: could we walk to it from here?
Paradise Tennant: I will tp you one sec
