    stevenaia Michinaga: hello Arch
    Archmage Atlantis: Helo Steve
stevenaia Michinaga: how was your week?, I believe you were distracted last week for the hour
stevenaia Michinaga: or was it 2 weeks ago?
Archmage Atlantis: Distracted? now i now why Fael identifies with u
stevenaia Michinaga: I did not know she did
Archmage Atlantis: I am never distracted, but often aaware
stevenaia Michinaga: nods, perception of another's avatar here can result in assumptions, you were quiet the entire hour, here before I arrived, here when I left
stevenaia Michinaga: or so I recollect
Archmage Atlantis: He, to me, tho most see him as she
    stevenaia Michinaga: nods
    Archmage Atlantis: Er
stevenaia Michinaga: having met Fael in RL, I understand
Archmage Atlantis: We do not judge....yet there are no children
    --BELL--
Archmage Atlantis: I am totally homosexual...yet I understand that adults have
    stevenaia Michinaga: have?
    Archmage Atlantis: haaaaave childeren
    stevenaia Michinaga: nods
stevenaia Michinaga: I know homosexual couples with children
    stevenaia Michinaga: male and female
Archmage Atlantis: It is a drive
Archmage Atlantis: to give one's self to another
stevenaia Michinaga: isn;t that what love is?
Archmage Atlantis: Amd we wish to influence the future
Archmage Atlantis: In my mind, that is love, yes
    stevenaia Michinaga: hello Storm
Archmage Atlantis: I want Farl to offer me his new tatoo
Storm Nordwind: Good evening all :)
stevenaia Michinaga: thanks for stopping in
stevenaia Michinaga: why don;t you ask, Arch?
Archmage Atlantis: It hasn't come around on the guitar
    stevenaia Michinaga: :)
stevenaia Michinaga: freightening that I understand an Alice's Restaurant reference
Storm Nordwind has stepped into a dream, with talk of tattoos and guitars and Alice's Restaurant it seems
    Archmage Atlantis: :)
stevenaia Michinaga: yes, we could be talking 40 years ago?
    stevenaia Michinaga: maybe 35
Storm Nordwind recalls you can get anything you want at Alice's Restaurant
    stevenaia Michinaga: except Alice
Archmage Atlantis: Down the rabbit hole? I thought Johhny Deep did th
    stevenaia Michinaga: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Alice's_Restaurant
stevenaia Michinaga: ofcourse there's a Wiki Page
Storm Nordwind: Walk right in it's around the back
Archmage Atlantis: Do all of you know ThreeDee>
stevenaia Michinaga: yes, haven;t seen him in quite some time
    Storm Nordwind: Likewise
stevenaia Michinaga: met him the same time I met Fael
Archmage Atlantis: Coul you imagine .... there is another rabbit hol;e/
    --BELL--
stevenaia Michinaga: there are many rabbits in my yard
stevenaia Michinaga: holes tend to follow
Storm Nordwind has the surreal image of shadowy forms of holes trying to keep up with scurrying rabbits
    stevenaia Michinaga: :)
stevenaia Michinaga: words have a wonderful way of creating a multitude of images
Storm Nordwind: There are times when you need to be didactic about the images, to ensure no ambiguity. And there are times, with poetry for example, when hints and suggestions are better, in order to allow the reader to bring their own images to the scene
    Archmage Atlantis: Nicely said
    Archmage Atlantis: storm
stevenaia Michinaga: I was jsut thinking something very similar S\torm
stevenaia Michinaga: but you assembled the description of that thought so much better
    Storm Nordwind smiles :)
stevenaia Michinaga: poetry tends to describe the less detailed better
    Archmage Atlantis: acce the ty
    Archmage Atlantis: few wil xomw
stevenaia Michinaga: Arch, that was unclear
Storm Nordwind divined "few will come" for the second line, but has no clue about the first
    --BELL--
Storm Nordwind: I had an interesting experience today at home - not much to do with PaB, but interesting nevertheless :)
    stevenaia Michinaga: listens
Storm Nordwind: My wife and I are rather under the weather (literally, actually) so my intuition told me I should bake some white rye bread
Storm Nordwind: But I didn't have a recipe
Storm Nordwind: nor could I find one
Storm Nordwind: so I dowsed it from scratch
Storm Nordwind: Because I was so dazed, the first time I tried to make it I added the wrong ingredient
Storm Nordwind: so i threw it out and started over
Storm Nordwind: the second time I realized when it was baked that I hadn't included another ingredient
stevenaia Michinaga: deja vu of my wife's process of baking
Storm Nordwind: but that was not in the dowsed recipe
Storm Nordwind: I thought it was going to be awful
Storm Nordwind: It's some of the best I've ever made!
    stevenaia Michinaga: :)
stevenaia Michinaga: do you remember the recepe?
Storm Nordwind: Yes. It's for a breadmaker...
    1.125 cups of water
2 cups of white bread flour
1 cup of whole rye flour
    1 teaspoon of milk powder
    1 tablespoon of salted butter
    1 teaspoon of salt
    1 teaspoon of fresh yeast
1 teaspoon of vital wheat gluten
Storm Nordwind: and bake as for white bread with a dark crust
    Storm Nordwind: et voila

    stevenaia Michinaga: :)
stevenaia Michinaga: you must have done this before
Storm Nordwind: Not rye bread, no never
stevenaia Michinaga: in my kitchen, I stir.... that's about it
    Storm Nordwind: hehe!
Storm Nordwind: I make the bread, my wife cleans up the mess I made. We each have our strengths!
stevenaia Michinaga: yes, I cook, I clean, she cooks, I clean. Never figured that one out
    stevenaia Michinaga: hello Kiremini
    Kiremimi Tigerpaw: hi
    Storm Nordwind: Kiremini, welcome!
Kiremimi Tigerpaw: thanks for your reply
Kiremimi Tigerpaw: i am using my old mac,
Storm Nordwind: Very wise, at least for now
    stevenaia Michinaga: it works:0
Storm Nordwind: Sorry I couldn't be of more help
Kiremimi Tigerpaw: i think I have to install new viewer...
    Storm Nordwind shudders
Kiremimi Tigerpaw: do you use new viewer
    Kiremimi Tigerpaw: ?
stevenaia Michinaga: I do on my Mac
Storm Nordwind: No. When I hear lots of good stories about it, I will change!
stevenaia Michinaga: so far it works for me, but everything is different
Kiremimi Tigerpaw: Hi stevenaia, nice to hear that new viewer is not bad
    Kiremimi Tigerpaw: at all
Kiremimi Tigerpaw: I just got a new Mac, but the old viewer that I transfered just made the screen blinck!
    --BELL--
Storm Nordwind: I think it's the "everything is different" that bothers me. I have to be able to have a very very fast and fluid interface that I can see everything on. If it does that then fine
stevenaia Michinaga: I just started out as a woman until I found there was a male/female switch in Appearance, brought back fond memories of my female past in SL
    Kiremimi Tigerpaw: switch?
stevenaia Michinaga: yes, instant sex change is available
Kiremimi Tigerpaw: oh, i did not know
Storm Nordwind: But what about if you're wearing a specific shape (like I do)?

I give a quick demonstration of the male/female switch

    Kiremimi Tigerpaw: ohhh
stevenaia Michinaga: then you look silly
Storm Nordwind: plus ça change, plus c'est la même chose!
    stevenaia Michinaga: beARDED LADY
    Kiremimi Tigerpaw: haha
Kiremimi Tigerpaw: were you talking about that subject before i arrive?
stevenaia Michinaga: we were actually talking bread recipies
    Kiremimi Tigerpaw: i see
    Storm Nordwind chuckles
stevenaia Michinaga: are you feeling better now, Storm?
Storm Nordwind: not entirely... it takes a few days apparently - but thanks for asking
Kiremimi Tigerpaw: oh, i am sorry to hear that you were sick
Storm Nordwind: Perhaps it's the sudden changes in the weather here
stevenaia Michinaga: my joy of the day was finaly working through a 3 week attempt at a somewhat complex set of Tai Chi moves that I finally mastered... well, at least remembered well enough to complete
Storm Nordwind: (I guess the lesson of the bread recipe is what you can achieve when you drop all preconceptions and intellectual ideas! ;)
Storm Nordwind: Do we get a demonstration here and now Steve? ;)
Kiremimi Tigerpaw: i like Tai Chi...i wish I had more time for that
stevenaia Michinaga: not sure I can post a video to the wiki (or want to)
    Storm Nordwind chuckles
stevenaia Michinaga: but you do find... when it works it makes sence
stevenaia Michinaga: I only have one class a week, but it makes you remember.. or not
Storm Nordwind: Perhaps you are fortunate enough to have found a good teacher. That made all the difference to me for Tai Chi
    Kiremimi Tigerpaw: i agree.
stevenaia Michinaga: the process of learning is as much the mond as the body remembering
    stevenaia Michinaga: *mind
Storm Nordwind: the famed 'muscle memory'
stevenaia Michinaga: nods, allows you to drop thinking
    Kiremimi Tigerpaw: that is true
stevenaia Michinaga: and open the mind
stevenaia Michinaga: the years go by quickly
Storm Nordwind: ars longa vita brevis
    stevenaia Michinaga: Latin?
Storm Nordwind: Yes, from the original Greek. The first two lines of a five line aphorism of Hippocrates
    Kiremimi Tigerpaw: nice
Kiremimi Tigerpaw: well, i have to go, but nice to see you both
    Storm Nordwind:
    ars longa,
    vita brevis,
    occasio praeceps,
    experimentum periculosum,
    iudicium difficile.

    --BELL--
    Storm Nordwind: Bye!
    stevenaia Michinaga: bye Kire
    Kiremimi Tigerpaw: bye
Storm Nordwind: Art is long, life is short, opportunity fleeting, experiment dangerous, judgment difficult.
Storm Nordwind prefers 'perilous' to 'dangerous' :)
    stevenaia Michinaga: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ars_longa,_vita_brevis
    stevenaia Michinaga: both are there
    stevenaia Michinaga: :)
    stevenaia Michinaga:
    Ὁ βίος βραχὺς,
    ἡ δὲ τέχνη μακρὴ,
    ὁ δὲ καιρὸς ὀξὺς,
    ἡ δὲ πεῖρα σφαλερὴ,
    ἡ δὲ κρίσις χαλεπή.
Storm Nordwind: The first two lines are often taken out of context - like I did! ;)
    stevenaia Michinaga: not Art?
Storm Nordwind: Art can be so many things. I applied it to things like Tai Chi in this instance. Originally, it was the art or rather craft of medicine
    stevenaia Michinaga: Medical Arts
    Storm Nordwind: yes
Storm Nordwind: But it's often just used as a pretentious substitute for "so much to do, so little time to do it" ;)
stevenaia Michinaga: time for me to depart
Storm Nordwind: Me too I expect
    Storm Nordwind: Let's tiptoe out
stevenaia Michinaga: thanks for the company Storm and Arch
    stevenaia Michinaga: fell better Storm
Storm Nordwind: Thank you Steve :)
    Storm Nordwind waves
    stevenaia Michinaga: night Arch
