    Archmage Atlantis: Hello Wol
    Archmage Atlantis: :)
    Wol Euler: hello arch
    Wol Euler: tiger-arch
Archmage Atlantis: Hey, my hair is still lying down, not flinging feathers in the sky *grin*
    Wol Euler smiles.
Wol Euler: how are you today?
Archmage Atlantis: I expected more folks to be here....and I am, on average, good
Wol Euler: well, I can't help your expectations :) but I am glad to hear that you are well
    Archmage Atlantis: chuckles
Wol Euler: we were talking about hte phenomenon of the January blues yesterday, at the dreams workshop
Wol Euler: the consensus is that (so far at least) we are all un-blue
Archmage Atlantis: Do you identify with any rl animals, Wol.?..... the snow leopard , the badger and the coyote seem to become more of me as i age......probably a bit of poetic nonesensee
    Archmage Atlantis: Ah, that fits
Wol Euler: I'm not sure how to answer that really. I don't feel animal-ish, but I do sometimes feel a kind of kindship to big, lazy, happy and friendly dogs
Wol Euler: the kind that would love to lick your hand if you would only just walk over to where they are laying :)
    Archmage Atlantis: Smile
Archmage Atlantis: A dog has come into our lives this last month
    Wol Euler: ah :) nice
    Archmage Atlantis: She visits regularly
    Wol Euler: free-range?
Archmage Atlantis: No, she has a family....just likes to find a quiet space
    Wol Euler smiles.
    Archmage Atlantis: 3 children
    Wol Euler: that#s nice
Archmage Atlantis: She goes home when she is ready
Archmage Atlantis: Her name is Kaya
Archmage Atlantis: She is an Alaskan Huskie.....
Archmage Atlantis: And this is Florida
    Archmage Atlantis: yikes
Wol Euler: yeah, must be very hot
Wol Euler: does she have blue eyes?

    --BELL--

Archmage Atlantis: Yes, like the crystals of the blueish deepest lakes
    Wol Euler: beautiful, but uncanny
    Wol Euler: (I find them)
Wol Euler: sounds like you all like each other :)
Archmage Atlantis: .I have always been fondest of those dogs who are collie like, besides collies, Shelties, Australian Shephards....the herding dogs..........Kaya is the first work dog I have ever been able to relate to
Archmage Atlantis: Yes, we all like each other
    Wol Euler smiles.
    Archmage Atlantis: mysteries of life
Wol Euler: perhaps she was sent to broaden your acquaintance :)
    Archmage Atlantis: Perhaps
Archmage Atlantis: I try not to see meaning in circumstance......it can lead me astray
    Wol Euler nods.
    Wol Euler: good evening, zen
    Archmage Atlantis: Hello, Zen meister
    Zen Arado: Hi Wol, Arch
    Wol Euler: hello eliza
    Zen Arado: Hi Eliza :)
Eliza Madrigal: Hi Wol, Arch, Zen :)
Archmage Atlantis: you are having difficulties in arranging the retreat in N Ireland....at least as I read the daily conversation
    Archmage Atlantis: Hi, Eliza
Zen Arado: yeh but found a good venue now I think
    Wol Euler: ah, good
Zen Arado: need to know how many are interested
Wol Euler: (just got in from work, haven't checked e-mail yet)
    Wol Euler: one!
    Zen Arado: Europa Hotel Belfast
Eliza Madrigal: looks like a good solution
    Wol Euler reads
    Agatha Macbeth: Evening all
    Eliza Madrigal: Hi Agatha :)
Archmage Atlantis: Does the hotel have the ability to accommodate persons outside the recognized "norms' Zen?
    Agatha Macbeth: ♥
    Zen Arado: Hi Aga
Eliza Madrigal: :) Wol is reading emails to catch up on retreat news
    Zen Arado: think so
    Archmage Atlantis: ok
Zen Arado: I don't know what to do next
Eliza Madrigal: wow nice appearances today
    Eliza Madrigal: Hi Korel :)
    Agatha Macbeth smiles
    Zen Arado: Hi Korel
    Korel Laloix: Bozho
Korel Laloix: HOw is everyone today?
    Wol Euler: hello aggers, korel
    Agatha Macbeth: Osiyo K
    Korel Laloix smiles
Archmage Atlantis: I would think, Zen, that those who have given meaning to previous retreats would assist.

    --BELL--

Zen Arado: The Europa is a famous international hotel
Korel Laloix: By famous you mean overpriced and elitest?
    Wol Euler chuckles.
Zen Arado: it isn't too expensive
Wol Euler: perhaps it just means "famous"
Korel Laloix: Tents are nice as well, if you dont mind a sleeping bag under the stars.
Archmage Atlantis: Dachau is also famous
Wol Euler: that sounds like a good idea, especially the suite
    Zen Arado: compatred to London
    Zen Arado: :)
    Wol Euler invokes Godwin's Law
    Archmage Atlantis: Words are tricky
Korel Laloix: I do have to sayI loved London, but I spent way too much money there.
Wol Euler: yah, a very expensive city
Eliza Madrigal: now that I've run out of airfare vouchers I think Ireland is out of reach, but sounds wonderful
    Agatha Macbeth: Capitals usually are
Wol Euler: you say they are booked up for that first Sunday, Zen?
    Zen Arado: Belfast isn't expensive
Zen Arado: yes when I looked
Eliza Madrigal: so it should be arranged soon
    Wol Euler nods.
Wol Euler: I'll be sorry not to see you there, Eliza
Wol Euler: you were such a great part of the last two retreats
    Eliza Madrigal: that's kind
Agatha Macbeth: Liz is a great part of anything :)
Eliza Madrigal: but each has its own recipe I suppose :)
Zen Arado: it chenged form earlier
    Eliza Madrigal: (thank you)
    Wol Euler smiles.
Zen Arado: now you can get Sunday but expensive
    Zen Arado: http://fe.avvio.com/convert/site/Has...tel/en/mda.php
Eliza Madrigal: Previously for hotel retreats, someone calls ahead to see what a rate for several might be, giving an estimate
Archmage Atlantis: How about a N Ireland Monastery, Zen?
Eliza Madrigal: and sometimes a price is locked in
Zen Arado: do they usually book individually or in a block for these things?
Eliza Madrigal: then we get a 'codeword' to use when calling to book individually
Wol Euler: right, malta worked that way
Zen Arado: only one I now is Benburb...went to many zen retreats there
Zen Arado: but it isn't very accessible and it's an old down at heel place
Wol Euler: hmmm, wonder if we know anybody in government or business or university in Belfast, who we could ask for a tiny favour ....
Wol Euler: such bodies often have favourable terms with big hotels
    Eliza Madrigal: :)
    Eliza Madrigal: Hi Mick :)
    Mickorod Renard: hello
    Mickorod Renard: :)
    Zen Arado: Hi Mick
    Agatha Macbeth: Hiya Micky
Zen Arado: need somebody more experienced at this than me
Korel Laloix: I can't promise anyting, but we have an Irish football player as a client I might could ask for help.
    Mickorod Renard: hi:))
    Wol Euler: hello mick
    Mickorod Renard: hiya
Eliza Madrigal: that's interesting Korel :)
Wol Euler: that would be great, korel!
Zen Arado: need to book asap
Korel Laloix: I will send him an email and see if he can help.... HOw many people and when?
Zen Arado: I have no idea how many mighgt come
Wol Euler: yeah, that's the tricky bit
    Korel Laloix: OK.... lol
Wol Euler: call it half a dozen
Wol Euler: it won'T be much more or less than that
    Korel Laloix: Prefferable dates?
Wol Euler: Mick and wife will come, of course :)
    Agatha Macbeth: and the dog...
Wol Euler: first week of july, starting on sunday 1st
Eliza Madrigal: yeah, so good to shoot for at least 8 as a number to speak to staff
    Wol Euler: sunday to saturday
Eliza Madrigal: usually saying 'between half and one dozen'
Wol Euler notes Mick's shocked silence
    Zen Arado: Sunday is expensive
    Wol Euler: :-P
Mickorod Renard: he he ....I am a content listener
Wol Euler: well, I suppose we could do a five-day normal routine by shifting it one day
Zen Arado: can't they do Mon to Sat?
Wol Euler: arrive on Monday, start on Tuesday, finish Saturday, leave on Sunday morning
    Zen Arado: yes
    Korel Laloix: This comming?
Wol Euler: works for me, but my days are (usually) very favourable

    --BELL--

Wol Euler: july 1, 2012 yes

    Zen Arado: Mon is 2nd
    Wol Euler: ah, right :)

    Mickorod Renard: bye Zen

Zen Arado: hope we get something worked out
Mickorod Renard: good to see you
Wol Euler: bye zen, take care. Thanks for starting this off!
Korel Laloix: OK, wow... texted me back.
Korel Laloix: Balyporty Castle, not sure of the spelling.
Korel Laloix: 2000 US for a week sleeps 8 to 10.
Korel Laloix: Trying to look up.

Ataraxia Azemus: Hi Mick, Eliza :)
    Eliza Madrigal: ooo nice link
    Ataraxia Azemus: It's a bricky Gameboy :)
Wol Euler: but I'm skeptical whether it would be suitable for Zen, based on what he's said :(
Eliza Madrigal: nods, yes... commenting only on the picture's beauty
    Mickorod Renard: whats that Wol?
Agatha Macbeth: Yes it looks a lovely place
Wol Euler: the link I just posted, possible alternative hotel for the retreat in July in Northern Irelane
Agatha Macbeth: Amazing how in this day and age how many places are still off-limits to the disabled
    Ataraxia Azemus: Oh, that's beautiful
    Eliza Madrigal: no kidding!
    Agatha Macbeth sighs
    Alfred Kelberry: hi :)
    Agatha Macbeth: Yo Alfie
Eliza Madrigal: Hi Boxy :) I really like the quote box, thank you
    Ataraxia Azemus: Hi Boxy :)
    Korel Laloix: http://www.celticcastles.com/castles...le/booking.asp
Wol Euler: "Please note that the wonderful curving late medieval stone staircase may not suit small children or those with walking disabilities. "
    Mickorod Renard: Hi Alfie
Eliza Madrigal: yup, historical sites are not often friendly to limitations
    Agatha Macbeth: Hmmm
Wol Euler: come and sit with us, guys.
    Ataraxia Azemus: Hi Arch

    Ataraxia Azemus: Hi Zen :)
Eliza Madrigal: it is the scene in Being John Malcovich
    Agatha Macbeth: wb Zen

Eliza Madrigal: squeezing between two floors, lol
    Eliza Madrigal: Hi Zen :)
Alfred Kelberry: btw, re: retreat. belfast is chosen?
    Alfred Kelberry: zen :)
Agatha Macbeth: Ah right Arch, thx

    Alfred Kelberry: a city retreat
    Alfred Kelberry: thanks, archy
Archmage Atlantis: Hey, someone has to play the role of god

Ataraxia Azemus: I'm trying to cut back, thanks
Agatha Macbeth: Are you tired Atari? :p
    Eliza Madrigal: :) Boxy
Eliza Madrigal: you can do that in the country too
Agatha Macbeth: That sounds ideal Alf
    Wol Euler smiles.
Ataraxia Azemus: I am a little tired...on the one day of the week I've gotten lots of sleep!
Wol Euler: what boxy means is "sneak out and get a newspaper and a coffee"
Alfred Kelberry: yes, but you're stuck in the country then :)
    Agatha Macbeth: Hm, often happens
Alfred Kelberry: thank you, woly :)
Wol Euler: my pleasure :) clarity is always good :)
    Eliza Madrigal: =p~
Archmage Atlantis: Will the hotel have clotted cream, Zen?

    Eliza Madrigal: :)
Alfred Kelberry: mmm, could be :)
Archmage Atlantis: Mares eat oats, and does eat oats, and little lambs eat ivy
Ataraxia Azemus: Unless you can get good wireless reception :)
    Eliza Madrigal: :)
Mickorod Renard: my dog has started to eat grapes and melon
    Wol Euler: heheh
    Zen Arado: fracture clubs?
Agatha Macbeth: My dog's got no nose
Alfred Kelberry: the pup of impeccable taste
Archmage Atlantis: The animals are in a network......the reception between them is wundabar
Mickorod Renard: how does he smell?
Korel Laloix: If you do use that place, you woud have to fly into Shannon, which seems to be a major airport.
    Agatha Macbeth: Bloody awful
    Mickorod Renard: boom boom
    Agatha Macbeth: :D
    Wol Euler: heheheheh
    Mickorod Renard: :))
    Archmage Atlantis: Ka ching

Zen Arado: one is 4 miles from hotel, other 16 miles
    Zen Arado: bye Violet
Korel Laloix: Oh, different palce then I was looking at then.
Eliza Madrigal: the price difference for me between the two airports was significant, but not enough to tip the scale
Zen Arado: if anyone goes to Dublin there is a bus station and rail station beside hotel
    Eliza Madrigal: ah
    Agatha Macbeth: Oh
Alfred Kelberry: didn't know belfast means mouth of the sandbars
    Zen Arado: me neither :)
Zen Arado: thought it meant Bel Farcet...village on the Farcet river
    Zen Arado: something like that
Agatha Macbeth: Don't farcet, it will happen naturally

    --BELL--

    Wol Euler groans appreciatively
    Zen Arado: :)
Archmage Atlantis: most names of places where rivers meet the ocean or other water bodies are designated by "mouth of" in the local and invasive languages
    Agatha Macbeth: Quite often, yes
Alfred Kelberry: 18 c in july - sweet
Agatha Macbeth: For July I'd want 20 at least
    Alfred Kelberry: no, thank you
Agatha Macbeth: Ok, we'll arrange snow for you then
Alfred Kelberry: you got your boots, you won't get cold :)
    Agatha Macbeth: Hm, true
Alfred Kelberry: ok, botanic gardens is a must
    Eliza Madrigal: :)
    Agatha Macbeth: For flies
Zen Arado: and museum and art gallery beside the gardens
Eliza Madrigal: so you like plants, as long as they are in the city?
Alfred Kelberry: then a concert at the waterfront hall
    Agatha Macbeth: Boxy will sing
Mickorod Renard: botanical gardens are for plants Alf, not bots
Archmage Atlantis: Ok, used the calculator to translate the temp from F to C........if the recalculation is correct,...it is 18 here
Alfred Kelberry: i enjoyed one in berlin
Agatha Macbeth: It was 12 here today - in JANUARY
    Wol Euler gasps
Mickorod Renard: I love them, the only place to be in the winter
    Agatha Macbeth: Whatever next?
    Zen Arado: yes very mild
Archmage Atlantis: I really wish we went to the more global standard bak 30 years ago
Zen Arado: we deserve after last two winters
    Agatha Macbeth: True
Agatha Macbeth: I was virtually housebound last December
Alfred Kelberry: gah, rugby is popular there
Eliza Madrigal: that's how many people discover SL
Agatha Macbeth: Or before last rather
Archmage Atlantis: Words are inaccurate, perhaps measurements are more so
    Wol Euler nods.
    Mickorod Renard: thats deep Arch
    Zen Arado: fathoms deep
    Agatha Macbeth: Captain Nemo
Wol Euler: my father lies, these are pearls that were his eyes
    Agatha Macbeth: Right, ok
Wol Euler: that's shakespeare, that is.
    Agatha Macbeth: Which bit?
Zen Arado: from a play wot he wrote?
Wol Euler: fathoms deep my father lies, these are pearls that were his eyes
    Agatha Macbeth: Mm
    Wol Euler: yep
    Agatha Macbeth: The Tempest?
    Wol Euler: yeppers
    Agatha Macbeth: Aha
Wol Euler: well, that seems to have killed that convessation. Sorry :(
Archmage Atlantis: if we are to be creators, what parameters would we institute?
    Mickorod Renard: :))
    Agatha Macbeth: RIP conversation
Alfred Kelberry: zen, it's not safe to wear glasgow rangers shirt in belfast? :)
Agatha Macbeth: Depends which part Alf
    Zen Arado: yeh
Alfred Kelberry: you know the city well, aga?
Archmage Atlantis: To lie still, is not to be dead....to be killed, is not to live one
Agatha Macbeth: Not at all actually
Zen Arado: don't go up the Falls road with one on
Alfred Kelberry: eek: "it is best to avoid wearing green or orange or the name of any area"
Zen Arado: Celtic shirt would be ok there
Agatha Macbeth: But I saw enough of it in the news as a kid to feel like I was born there...
Zen Arado: it is quite peaceful now
    Agatha Macbeth: Thank God
    Archmage Atlantis: Thank Humankind,
    Archmage Atlantis: Aggie
    Agatha Macbeth: Thank everyone
Archmage Atlantis: God left us to figure this out ourselves
Agatha Macbeth: Don't make too good a job of it do we?
Archmage Atlantis: We are still here, Aggie
    Wol Euler: for now ...
    Agatha Macbeth: Just about
Archmage Atlantis: The job is still ongoing
    Agatha Macbeth: The never-ending story
Zen Arado: a new Titanic centre opening in March
    Agatha Macbeth: Where?

    --BELL--

    Zen Arado: Belfast
    Agatha Macbeth: Oh
Alfred Kelberry: anyhow, i think the northen belfast is off the list
    Agatha Macbeth: Interesting
Zen Arado: that's where I grew up
Agatha Macbeth: So the place in Scotland is definitely out?
Archmage Atlantis: box... why is N Belfast off the list?
    Zen Arado: think so
    Agatha Macbeth: Ah well
Zen Arado: too hard to grt to from airports
Zen Arado: and need min 10 for retreat centre
Agatha Macbeth: Good job it's not a hasty retreat
Zen Arado: would have been handy for you Aga
Archmage Atlantis: So, after flying in, a march to the place would be a way to do it
    Agatha Macbeth: Yes, true
Agatha Macbeth: Well I just realised I haven't eaten since I got in
Archmage Atlantis: Waat ho, as they say
Zen Arado: I have been there twice but not at the retreat centre part
