Mist and snow, steppes and swamps.

    Storm Nordwind: Good morning Eliza!
    Eliza Madrigal: Morning, Storm :)
    Eliza Madrigal: Morning, Arch :)
    Storm Nordwind: Hello Arch :)
Archmage Atlantis: Misty Swamplands,.....would be a John Denver song....if he grew up here
Eliza Madrigal: :) smiling at the idea of a Florida John Denver... swamps as magestic in some ways as mountains
    Eliza Madrigal: teeming with life
    Archmage Atlantis: yes...ty
Storm Nordwind looks out of the window and sees steppes and snow, but no swamps!
    Eliza Madrigal: :)
Archmage Atlantis: The all of creation
Storm Nordwind: I feel very fortunate to be able to experience so much of it
    Archmage Atlantis: agree
Storm Nordwind: And to have experienced so much in this life
    Archmage Atlantis: a;so agree
    Eliza Madrigal: gifted, yes
Storm Nordwind: But as I was watching the thick snowfall yesterday, I was held by the wonder of the snowflakes - perfect star crystals - yet if I tried to look too closely they melted :)
    Eliza Madrigal smiles
Eliza Madrigal: better to wonder lightly?
Archmage Atlantis: In this reality they melt, in other mindfulness they transform
Storm Nordwind: In each person's perception, they were perhaps different too - and very much a curse to many early morning drivers whose minds wanted to be elsewhere!
Eliza Madrigal: so do they transform then or do we
Eliza Madrigal waves hello to observerm

    Insensitive care

Archmage Atlantis: You lost an important person to a traffic accident, Storm?
    --BELL--
Storm Nordwind: No - I have been fortunate in that regard. Though when you have a car that outperforms most others, and it still slides uncontrollably for the first time, you're reminded of the closeness of that threshold and the fragility of survival.
    Eliza Madrigal: yes
Archmage Atlantis: I have been in car accident....3 of th7 major
Eliza Madrigal: the other day I read a description of the "likelihood of human birth" that described it like trying to throw cooked peas against a wet glass
Archmage Atlantis: Spent 45 days in insensitive care
Eliza Madrigal: oh dear, Arch, awful
Storm Nordwind: Was that a deliberate spelling Arch?
    Archmage Atlantis: G\\Not awful
    Eliza Madrigal: :)
Archmage Atlantis: a chance to learn

    Samúð.

    Eliza Madrigal: Morning, Samúð :)
    Storm Nordwind: Hi Sam!
oO0Oo Resident: Hi Arch, Eliza, Storm, observerm :)
Archmage Atlantis: Samúð is Icelandic, best I have been able to research it
Archmage Atlantis: Is that corredct Samúð :)
oO0Oo Resident: Yes ,Arch that word means 'Empathy', sometimes 'Compassion' in Icelandic
    Archmage Atlantis: ty

    Close to death.

Storm Nordwind: Once, when I was 11 years old, I spent four weeks in an isolation hospital, completely unaware that I had been close to death. I remember feeling light-hearted about much of the experience. I wonder if that would have been different had I been fully aware of my condition!
    Archmage Atlantis: Hello Bruce
    Storm Nordwind: Good morning Bruce
    Archmage Atlantis: We meet
Eliza Madrigal: such things fail to fall into the good/bad category don't they... one wouldn't wish that awareness of fragility on anyone and yet how much it changes life view
Bruce Mowbray: Hello, Arch, Samuo, Storm, and Eliza.
    Eliza Madrigal: Hi Bruce :)
Archmage Atlantis: Did you go to Nova Scotia
    Archmage Atlantis: ?
    Storm Nordwind: So true Eliza
Eliza Madrigal: well, awareness of fragility by way of illness or accident, I should say
oO0Oo Resident: Wow Storm. Something in being young, or perhaps it is more to do with experience.. Protected from fear? Lack of exposure to ways people habitually are afraid in such situations?
    oO0Oo Resident: Hi Bruce :)
Bruce Mowbray listens carefully to catch the drift -- fascinated by the talk of "fragility" and awareness.
Bruce Mowbray: ooops -- UPS delivery guy brb.
Storm Nordwind: Fear is not something that's ever troubled me much. Protected largely from pain allowed space for continued wonder at every moment.
    Eliza Madrigal: Hi Yaku :)
    Storm Nordwind: Hi Yaku
    Yakuzza Lethecus: hey everyone
Eliza Madrigal: awareness of fragility may be empathy itself in a way
Eliza Madrigal: nice to think it doesn't 'have' to come with the fear :)
    --BELL--
Archmage Atlantis: Actually, Eliza, being aware of one's own fragility...that is the place of the beginning
    oO0Oo Resident: afk

    Role model.

Storm Nordwind: I remember my father's last days - in hospital. The staff were in awe how he was constantly concerned for their welfare, rather than his, despite the fact he was dying.
Eliza Madrigal: :) what a wonderful testament
Storm Nordwind: More than that. For me it's an example, a role model.
    Eliza Madrigal: indeed so
    Bruce Mowbray: (back)

    Non-duality troubles.

Storm Nordwind: Hello Breezer. I believe you've been here before, though we haven't met. I think you already know about how things are published here. Welcome back. :)
    Eliza Madrigal: Hi Breezer :)
    Yakuzza Lethecus: hello breezer
    Bruce Mowbray: Hi, Breezer
Breezer Tomsen: hello storm and others, thanks yess I am familliar with play of being
    Bruce Mowbray: (and Yaku).
Breezer Tomsen: came here some time ago , had some trouble with this , uhm how do i call it, nonduality suff or something like that
    Eliza Madrigal: :))
    Bruce Mowbray: ;-)
Breezer Tomsen: but now I am better
Eliza Madrigal: No non-duality troubles now?
Bruce Mowbray: I suspect there is a challenge there for all of us, Breezer.
oO0Oo Resident: back [Hi Yaku, Breezer :) ]

    Losing, dropping, shifting.

Breezer Tomsen: somehow I feel like I am losing myself (in a good way), but I is no flash somehow it feels like it goes slowly, anyone familiar with that?
    Bruce Mowbray: Quite familiar, Breeze.
Storm Nordwind: It sounds like you are dropping baggage you don't need :)
Breezer Tomsen: yess something is al clear and simple and somethimes sort of a doubt, but other times the doubt is seen too, funny... things don't matter anymore , they do but you know what i mean i guess :-)
    Archmage Atlantis: vg6666666666666666666666666666666666666666666666666666666666666666666666666666666666666666666666666666666666666666666666666666666666666666666666666666666666666666666666666666666666666666666666666666666+
    Breezer Tomsen: hi arch
Eliza Madrigal: perhaps you've shifted from storyline to wonder levels :)
Breezer Tomsen: yess but somehow I still feel it's not done jet... weird in a way
oO0Oo Resident: What do you believe has caused the shift Breezer?
oO0Oo Resident: If I may ask.
Bruce Mowbray: "Uncooked seeds," Ram Dass called it.
    Eliza Madrigal: :)
Breezer Tomsen: uncooked seeds ? :-) well samu I have been busy with nonduality for a long time, had 5 psychoses and very difficult times, but somehow it droped
oO0Oo Resident: So Psychosis, and business?
Bruce Mowbray: amazing how wholeness finds a way. . . (ponders "mandala as archetype...")
Breezer Tomsen: what do you mean with business samuo?
oO0Oo Resident: Well.. wanting to clarify the causes, as you saw them Breezer. You said, you have been *busy* with non-duality.
    --BELL--
Breezer Tomsen: oh ok :-) I see, yess for pretty long time, from age 21 or something like that, i am now almost 33
oO0Oo Resident: I apologise, I should have spelled that 'busyness' perhaps.
Eliza Madrigal thinks of Falling SLowly lyrics "you have suffered enough and warred with yourself; its time that you won"
Breezer Tomsen: o sorry I interupted the bell did not see :-)
Eliza Madrigal: (though nothing to win, hah)
Breezer Tomsen: yeah I suffered pretty much, psychiatric hospital and medicine and stuff, i still use antipsychotics but hope to quit one day, but we will see how things unfold...
oO0Oo Resident: Sorry for the suffering that has been Breezer. Hope you will feel more peace and contentment.
Breezer Tomsen: yess feel better now thanks samuo
Eliza Madrigal: it is interesting to hear your seeing non-duality as a kind of resource
    Eliza Madrigal: comfort, etc?
Breezer Tomsen: well I prefer comfort but shit happens to in , well, nothing
    Eliza Madrigal: :))
    oO0Oo Resident: :)
    oO0Oo Resident: indeed
Breezer Tomsen: I know where I got stuck, still had these concepts of reincarnation and higher power, but recently lisened some jed mckenna stuff again and suddenly it became clear
    Eliza Madrigal: what becomes clear?
Breezer Tomsen: uh i don't know, seeing there is no one, no higher power nothing...
Breezer Tomsen: but I told you it's pretty weird, it feels not finished yet in a way

    Non-violent drops.

Bruce Mowbray feels that "dropping baggage" will happen at its own pace - - Prefers non-violent drops -- compassion for one's own capacities, in this.
Eliza Madrigal: "non violent drops," thanks, Bruce
    Bruce Mowbray: ;-)
Bruce Mowbray: We have suffered enough already -- no need to force ourselves to "drop" (or anything else) before the seeds are ready to be cooked.
Storm Nordwind: When non-violent drops are placed in one's eyes, one can see more clearly! :)
    Bruce Mowbray: ;-)
    Bruce Mowbray: love that, Storm.
    Eliza Madrigal smiles
    oO0Oo Resident: :)
Breezer Tomsen: something else, do you folks like piecefull music, some time ago i discoverd a nice band, its a bit new age but its nice
    Breezer Tomsen: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xFs0TtcAp_M
    Eliza Madrigal: clicks....
    oO0Oo Resident: clicks too
Breezer Tomsen: it's an australian woman, and a dutch producer musician
Bruce Mowbray: If I may be a quote-dropper for a sec:
Bruce Mowbray: “Root out the violence in your life, and learn to live compassionately and mindfully. Seek peace. When you have peace within, real peace with others is possible.” ― Thich Nhat Hanh
    Breezer Tomsen: very nice
    --BELL--

    Poofing.

Bruce Mowbray: sry -- I just poofed.
    Yakuzza Lethecus: wb
    Bruce Mowbray: ty.
    Breezer Tomsen: what's a poofed? :-)
Yakuzza Lethecus: he crashed and came back
oO0Oo Resident: Thank you for the quote Bruce, and for the peaceful video music Breezer. Please excuse me, I need to leave for a bit.
Breezer Tomsen: ok i thought something like that
Bruce Mowbray: A "poofed" is a radical way to "drop" - - - - All of Sl disappeared until you log in again.
    Bruce Mowbray: ;-)
Storm Nordwind: Poof! like an explosion of sparks and smoke :)
    Yakuzza Lethecus: bye sam
    Eliza Madrigal waves
    Bruce Mowbray: Bye, Samuo.
    Storm Nordwind waves

    Capacities for compassion.

Bruce Mowbray: May I ask a rather personal question, Breezer?
Eliza Madrigal: a blinking to help the drops clear ?
    Eliza Madrigal: :) listens
    Breezer Tomsen: sure bruce
Bruce Mowbray: Do you feel that your sufferings have given you new capacities for compassion for others' suffering?
Bruce Mowbray: perhaps "opened up" new capacities that you already had?
Breezer Tomsen: yess i think so, if i see people suffer intense i somethimes have to cry, but somehow it's al good you know what i mean
Bruce Mowbray: I do indeed know what you mean, Breezer.
Breezer Tomsen: i do not know if that part wil stay
Bruce Mowbray: At some "level," perhaps there is only one of us here.
Bruce Mowbray: (no dualities of self/other.
Bruce Mowbray: and compassion brings us face-to-face with that "beyond faces" place.

    Layers of expression.

Breezer Tomsen: lately i also thougt about my personality, i can do whatever i like but i cant :-) i am pretty sensitive so i don
Breezer Tomsen: 't think i will be hard or something
Bruce Mowbray: Personalities are a sort of container . . . useful but also constraining, in ways.
Eliza Madrigal: storyline level in some way
Bruce Mowbray: yes, storyline level -- I like that,m Eliza, thanks.
Bruce Mowbray: A "story" is almost never about itself, though . . .
Eliza Madrigal: the other day chatting with my 19yo daughter in the kitchen, she made an expression, and in a flash I could see that it wasn't 'hers' but her boyfriend's...she had in a sense, taken on a level or layer of his face...
    --BELL--
Storm Nordwind: Have you noticed that when you are in a close relationship with someone, you may take on some of their voiced expressions, and they yours?
    Eliza Madrigal: very much so
Eliza Madrigal: seems very natural, this kind of mixing and layering
    Eliza Madrigal: revealing
Bruce Mowbray: Perhaps children are even more suseptible to this.
Breezer Tomsen: well i have to go now folks, have a nice time, maybe later, bye bye for now!
    Storm Nordwind waves
Bruce Mowbray: I shall also be gone.
Bruce Mowbray: Breezer, please do join us again.
Storm Nordwind: Good to see you both
Eliza Madrigal: teachers too, tend to show up in our lives, expressions this way... so interesting
Breezer Tomsen: ok thnk you bye bye
Eliza Madrigal: Bye Bruce and Breezer, thank you
Bruce Mowbray: THANKS to you all.
    Yakuzza Lethecus: bye bruce
    Yakuzza Lethecus: wb sam
    Eliza Madrigal: WB Sam :)
    oO0Oo Resident: ty :)
    oO0Oo Resident: * ~.~ *
    Yakuzza Lethecus: :)
    Eliza Madrigal: ^.^
    --BELL--

    Hoarders.

Archmage Atlantis: oop...sleep attacls me and yet stil is a friend
    Eliza Madrigal: :)
oO0Oo Resident: that line is a keeper :)
    Yakuzza Lethecus: *smiles*
Archmage Atlantis: glasses fell, searching for lens, moment
Archmage Atlantis: Now i understand why some might call me a hoarder
    Storm Nordwind chuckles
Archmage Atlantis: The show on tv is so uninformed
Storm Nordwind: And presumably, therefore, uninforming
Yakuzza Lethecus: stereotypes, what kind of subject ?
Archmage Atlantis: Life is more complex
Archmage Atlantis: In the tv show, there are people who squirrel away things
Archmage Atlantis: To a point where they are living in their things
Storm Nordwind: How many of us do that mentally and emotionally rather than physically?
Archmage Atlantis: I suppose it is like going over an edge
Archmage Atlantis: That we do that is not the problem
    --BELL--
Archmage Atlantis: They we do not hear/feel/see that we have fallen, perhaps that may be the problem.

Ruby slippers and Storm in gingham.

    Archmage Atlantis: Listening to IZ
    Yakuzza Lethecus: IZ ?
    Archmage Atlantis: A Hawaiian singer
    oO0Oo Resident: :)
Archmage Atlantis: I first became aware of his singing when he did the Judy Graland Over the Rainbow
Archmage Atlantis: me being gay, with ruby slippers and all
Storm Nordwind once played Dorothy in a spoof pantomime, complete with ruby slippers :)
    Archmage Atlantis: Ok, test
    Eliza Madrigal: :)))
Archmage Atlantis: which character from the movie are u
    Archmage Atlantis: ?
Eliza Madrigal really wants Storm's next line to be "and I have pictures"
Storm Nordwind has mysteriously mislaid any pictures ;D
Archmage Atlantis: btw. still haven't found my glasses lens
oO0Oo Resident imagines a chorus line of Pabbers dressed as Dorothy.. and now I wonder what we are singing as we do synced kicks with our ruby slippers.
Storm Nordwind: I recall my beard looked quite fetching over the blue gingham :)
Eliza Madrigal grinning from ear to ear
    oO0Oo Resident: lol
oO0Oo Resident: I hear that Dorothy gives great bear hugs too
Archmage Atlantis: Not Kansas any more, here in PaG
    Archmage Atlantis: oops
    Eliza Madrigal laughs
    Archmage Atlantis: PaB
    Eliza Madrigal: :)) true
Eliza Madrigal: my view of the film is forever changed by the Wicked musical so it is difficult to choose a character :)
    --BELL--
    Archmage Atlantis: I am Toto
Archmage Atlantis: The Animals understand us
Archmage Atlantis: We are the guardians of their world
Eliza Madrigal: that is a strong theme in the play as well, Arch
oO0Oo Resident flashes on Arch's connection with animals, and thought of St. Francis of Assisi

    Namaste.

    Archmage Atlantis: namaste, Eliza
    Yakuzza Lethecus: bye eliza
    Eliza Madrigal: Namaste'
Yakuzza Lethecus: gosh somehow thought ur leaving on the namaste :)
Eliza Madrigal: (hm guess that is my cue) lol
    Storm Nordwind chuckles
    Eliza Madrigal: the double cat
Yakuzza Lethecus thinks of inner lights
Storm Nordwind: Perhaps the cue for us all :)
    Eliza Madrigal smiles
    Eliza Madrigal: inner lights :)))
oO0Oo Resident: Cue the chorus line :)
oO0Oo Resident: "there's no place like home, there's no place like home..."
Archmage Atlantis: In life, the is being..........really not the scientific....parrakeets chiring.......need quiet .....ty all for being here
Eliza Madrigal giggling and thanks so much
    Eliza Madrigal: appreciative
oO0Oo Resident: :) Arch, Eliza, Yaku, Stormothy ;)
    Eliza Madrigal: :)
    Yakuzza Lethecus: bye everyone
Storm Nordwind: Bye all. Thank you for today.
    oO0Oo Resident: 〜waves〜
    oO0Oo Resident: ☻/
    oO0Oo Resident: /▌
    oO0Oo Resident: / \
