    Zen Arado: Hi Multi
    oO0Oo Resident: Luci, Multi :)
Multiverse1 Resident: Good day Multi- persons
Lucinda Lavender: I am trying to claim this...
Lucinda Lavender: hope it works this time
Archmage Atlantis: Good for you, Luci...claiming ourselves is the biggest gift
    Lucinda Lavender: :))
Multiverse1 Resident: Ah, I see boxy has levitated the box, allowing for another seat
Zen Arado: I'm still unclaimed :)
    oO0Oo Resident: :)
    Eliza Madrigal: :)
    Eliza Madrigal: unclaimed awareness #occupy
    Zen Arado: claim jumper
    Archmage Atlantis: Truely, Zen?
Archmage Atlantis: You are in my heart
    oO0Oo Resident exclaims
    Eliza Madrigal: :)
Multiverse1 Resident: digging for gold Zen
Zen Arado: a heart of gold :)
    Zen Arado: hard to find
    Multiverse1 Resident: yes, a claim,
Zen Arado: but keep on searching :)
    Archmage Atlantis: The wheelchair.....I listened....the N Ireland...I listened
Lucinda Lavender: that looks like a nice spot to sit Korel
Multiverse1 Resident: iThe gold of the heart then
Korel Laloix: Nice view... and I feel so tall.. grins
Multiverse1 Resident: so, a seat is added, then
Korel Laloix: NOt very comfy though.
Multiverse1 Resident: yes, take a pillow then Korel
Zen Arado: what are the texts?
    Zen Arado: from chat logs?
    Multiverse1 Resident: yes
Multiverse1 Resident: Alf put them here as a contemmplation if you are but one, or for topics, as a group, methinx
Zen Arado: clever..wonder if sequential or random?
Korel Laloix: I am sure I have some fairly frightening quotes avialable.
Archmage Atlantis: If one chooses to represent,...then one has to deside what one is that is to be represented
    Eliza Madrigal giggles Korel
Eliza Madrigal: So far these are from 2008 so most of us are OK, haha
    Zen Arado: :) Korel
Lucinda Lavender: is the chat log name placed in the parentheses?
    Korel Laloix: I think so.
    Eliza Madrigal: yes
    Eliza Madrigal: bracketed
    Lucinda Lavender: nods
Eliza Madrigal: like the above "Natural Rest" nice session
Lucinda Lavender: sounds like an interesting topic...natural rest
Korel Laloix: I really don't have time to read the transcipts... but I have a few.
Multiverse1 Resident: Like the fountain in a way, but a flow of quotes.
    Eliza Madrigal: :)
    Zen Arado: yes :)
    Lucinda Lavender: river flowing by
Eliza Madrigal: I like the 'no real meaning' quotes too
    Zen Arado: spouting words:)
Multiverse1 Resident: river of words and thoughts
    Multiverse1 Resident: snippets of tyme
Lucinda Lavender: any thoughts regarding the 6 am session that are still resonating?
Lucinda Lavender: that flow into this...
Zen Arado: how do you cook cabbage?
    Zen Arado: :)
Eliza Madrigal: The session asked interesting questions about time, art, the way we impose patterns ... think environment is outside, etc
    --BELL--

Lucinda Lavender: I usually boil or steam cabbage Zen...or eat raw
Multiverse1 Resident: Eliza, on the environment, is it the outside or separation from self to ( other) that you refer. Physical vs: non-physical?
Multiverse1 Resident: L like raw myself
    Archmage Atlantis: Cooking the cabbage, smile:}
Zen Arado: that Ted video about patternicity and Agenticity was interesting
Korel Laloix: Cabbage is great when panfired with bacon... yummy
Eliza Madrigal: physical v non physical wasn't really a factor of discussion but drawing lines 'making something' so yes in a way
Zen Arado: goes for Korel's suggestion :)
Multiverse1 Resident: hhmm cabbage and bacon, my mouth waters at that
Archmage Atlantis: It is a difficult vegoie
Multiverse1 Resident: drawing lines, as in boundaries.
    Eliza Madrigal: yes
    Eliza Madrigal: or being drawn
Zen Arado: just to explain...I had to cut one in half and photocopy for an art project
Multiverse1 Resident: thought that was the reference, thx
Zen Arado: so now might as well use it
Eliza Madrigal: like I'm drawn toward shopping today because I must have brussel sprouts with lemon now
    Multiverse1 Resident: Like shredding cabbage
    Eliza Madrigal: :)
    oO0Oo Resident: :)
    Lucinda Lavender: :))
Archmage Atlantis: My Scotch and my Ireland sides.....those fight over cabbate
    Multiverse1 Resident: small cabbages then
Zen Arado: removing cabage secrets :)
    Eliza Madrigal: cabbages beyond borders
    Yakuzza Lethecus: :)
Lucinda Lavender: cabbages are so goo at not going bad
    Lucinda Lavender: good
Korel Laloix: Where do you draw the line on cabbage though?
    Multiverse1 Resident: Growing to maturity
    Lucinda Lavender: waiting patiently
Multiverse1 Resident: when to pick it
Archmage Atlantis: My jewisish and my roman elements - jesu foghts
Zen Arado: are ok on my new low carb diet
    Multiverse1 Resident: then to taste
    Zen Arado: cabbage boundaries
    Yakuzza Lethecus: bye everyone
Multiverse1 Resident: preparation is a preference
    oO0Oo Resident: tender and raw
    Korel Laloix: Ciao
    Zen Arado: bye Yaku
    Archmage Atlantis: mY AFRrican slf
    Multiverse1 Resident: Bye Yaku
    oO0Oo Resident: Bye Yaku
Archmage Atlantis: it tries to restablih
Eileen Lancaster: thank you everyone for this experience (even if I only read)! I've to go now. Goodbye :)
Korel Laloix: So lemon can make brusslespourts eatible?
Eliza Madrigal: thanks for joining us Eileen, pleasant day to you
    Korel Laloix: Take care?
oO0Oo Resident: Thanks for coming Eileen :)
Lucinda Lavender: nice to meet you Eileen...come again
    Multiverse1 Resident: Bye Eileen
    Zen Arado: bye Eileen
Eliza Madrigal: :) lemon is a good trick for many things
    Eliza Madrigal: like rice
Korel Laloix: I know lemon is good, but doubtfull it is that good... smiles
    Eliza Madrigal: hahah Korel
    Korel Laloix: I love rice.
Multiverse1 Resident: combinations create new configurations
Multiverse1 Resident: so many foods we have, and ways to combine them
Lucinda Lavender: so in making art...the idea of taking what is inside and bringing it out ...or merging in and out...just thinking about this
Multiverse1 Resident: Muti, tastes Luci's art and words
Eliza Madrigal: yes, Alan Watts described awareness as 'outer work no longer outside'
Multiverse1 Resident: savors a new flavor
Lucinda Lavender: Luci has been eating the same food for 5 days...at dinner:)
Eliza Madrigal: like that because it describes something I think many feel but never quite can put words to
Zen Arado: I don't think much when painting...you just do it
    Eliza Madrigal: Oh?
    Multiverse1 Resident: A bumper crop
    Lucinda Lavender: nodding to Zen
Multiverse1 Resident: Yes Zen, you seem to allow for a free flow of events
Zen Arado: it is intuitive, not logical or analytical I think
Multiverse1 Resident: do you complete a work in one sitting, or develop it over a period?
    Zen Arado: depends
Zen Arado: some are quick others take months
Multiverse1 Resident: yes, on your flow
Lucinda Lavender: there are these moments when a need surfaces...about repositioning things in the environment...and I often wonder if it is awareness...sudden noticing of the outer world...and working with it
    --BELL--

Multiverse1 Resident: I wonder if it is need, or Zen's inuition.
Eliza Madrigal: Oh Luci, please say more?
Zen Arado: I feel I know little about painting
Zen Arado: it is as if there is no 'me' who did a painting
Lucinda Lavender: I look at the environment and think that things have been beginning to crowd each other I think
    Multiverse1 Resident: an outside view
Lucinda Lavender: so I give them more space
    oO0Oo Resident: :)
Zen Arado: nature acting through us
Zen Arado: all we need to do is unblock the flow?
    oO0Oo Resident: sudden feng shui
Lucinda Lavender: imagine that Zen gets into a kind of awareness...
    Eliza Madrigal: :)))
    Lucinda Lavender: yes Sam
Eliza Madrigal giggling... really like that phrase...
Eliza Madrigal: sometimes the environment does seem to ask something or make a demand
Multiverse1 Resident: Through you as you paint. I cannot paint, except in the abstract
oO0Oo Resident: nice to ask of it
Korel Laloix: Are you saying that painting is mainly an externally origionated expression?
Zen Arado: it's just ordinary to me
Zen Arado: think we tend to mysticize things ?
Multiverse1 Resident: a conduit you are then Zen
Zen Arado: but we are part of nature too Korel
Zen Arado: though we like to think we are separate
    Zen Arado: I think
Korel Laloix: YOu can say that, but when I dance, it is mostly based on what is already in me, so I could say it is mostly an internally origionaed art form.
Zen Arado: if we have any skills or talents they were just given to us
Korel Laloix: That is just the method.
Multiverse1 Resident: elop these things though
Korel Laloix: The location of the inspiration is what I meant.
Korel Laloix: If that makes sense.
Zen Arado: yes but you need that too to be able to express
Multiverse1 Resident: Has your painting, and Korel your dance progressed
Eliza Madrigal: there are studies that show it takes ten years to mastery... and then there is sudden skill
    Eliza Madrigal: :)
    Lucinda Lavender: ! really!
oO0Oo Resident: that may go a very interesting path in time and dpace Korel
    Lucinda Lavender: how interesting
Korel Laloix: I like the way I dance, but I am not competative at it.
    oO0Oo Resident: *space
Zen Arado: I always Picasso saying it took him years to learn to paint like a child
Eliza Madrigal: which doesn't mean there aren't those who have talents the likes of which can't be learned
Korel Laloix: I am not any "good" by contest standards, but I like the way I feel when I do it.
    Eliza Madrigal: :)) Korel
Zen Arado: yeh...what is 'good'? it's very subjective
Zen Arado: and changes through the ages
Lucinda Lavender: love the kind of dance you do Korel...
Korel Laloix: That is also interesting, I find Picasso as interesting as looking at a slice of white bread.
oO0Oo Resident: "location of the inspiration"
Multiverse1 Resident: The judges have different ratings, systems, and ourselves yet another
Korel Laloix: But I know some people are really moved by his stuff.
Eliza Madrigal: yes, if able to see in a museum Picasso is far better... some work just doesn't translate out of 'live' very well imo
Eliza Madrigal: and there are some with great talents whose work lacks the heart of someone who may struggle more too
    Multiverse1 Resident: interactive exhibits then
Korel Laloix: I have seen quite a lot... and I find the frame around his stuff far far far more intersting.
    Eliza Madrigal: hahah
Zen Arado: agree Eliza...superealism can be lifeless
Eliza Madrigal: what about the horse and boy painting? he had many different phases
Korel Laloix: I don't know that one... let me look.
    Eliza Madrigal: Hi Druth :))
Lucinda Lavender: I feel the location of my inspiration is an interesting question...I will have to go soon will enjoy reading and hope the claim worked...
    druth Vlodovic: hey guys
Multiverse1 Resident: I get lost in Picasso, tends to make me wander throughout each segment of his works. The frame included
    Lucinda Lavender: HI druth
    Zen Arado: Hi Druth :)
Eliza Madrigal: OK Luci, thank you
Korel Laloix: Also uninterseting to me.
Multiverse1 Resident: Hi Druth, bye Luci
    Korel Laloix: Osiyo
    Multiverse1 Resident: Beauty is
    Lucinda Lavender: :))
    oO0Oo Resident: Bye Luci.. thanks
    Lucinda Lavender: :)
    Zen Arado: bye Luci
Korel Laloix: WHich brings up another question..... location for the inspiration for appreciation.
Lucinda Lavender: bye all...must move my car so that plumbers can work on our street:)
    Eliza Madrigal: :)) good question
Korel Laloix: Do we like what we see becuase the world tells us it is good, or becuase i moves us internally.
    Korel Laloix: ciao
Multiverse1 Resident: Is thee a set point then , Korel?
    Multiverse1 Resident: there
    --BELL--

Zen Arado: it's hard to escape our cultural conditioning I think
Eliza Madrigal: various flavors of appreciation, some instant and some slower cooking?
Zen Arado: even the way our brains translates a lot of daubs of paint into a 3D version of a landscape
Zen Arado: which is a 2D illusion
    Eliza Madrigal: nods
Multiverse1 Resident: Sometymes we make things difficult for ourselves, sometymes we need the correct tolls or ingediants
    Multiverse1 Resident: tools
Zen Arado: how can I look at a painting with fresh eye?
    Multiverse1 Resident: from the back?
    Zen Arado: is it possible?
    Multiverse1 Resident: or inside
    Zen Arado: :)
Multiverse1 Resident: the presence of the painting looking at you, Zen
Zen Arado: easier to do that wih an abstract
Eliza Madrigal: pema uses an analogy of shifting from painting to paint at times
Eliza Madrigal: seeing under the story
Zen Arado: abstracts can make peole uneasy because there are no familiar guidelines
oO0Oo Resident: "Sometimes people find that being tender and raw is threatening and seemingly exhausting. Openness seems demanding and energy consuming, so they prefer to cover up their tender heart. "
    Multiverse1 Resident: the storyline shifts
    Zen Arado: hmmm yes Sam
    oO0Oo Resident: --VCTR
    Eliza Madrigal: :)
Multiverse1 Resident: people find things a certain way, based on your environment at tymes, as Zen spoke of. or our "history"
Zen Arado: I suppose that applies to all of our worldview
    Zen Arado: our mutual consensus
Multiverse1 Resident: individuals we are, yet share a world
    Multiverse1 Resident: many views indeed
Multiverse1 Resident: consensus, remains group oriented though
Multiverse1 Resident: unless it is a consensus of one.
Multiverse1 Resident: Multi sees a consensual painting of Zen
Zen Arado: I'm going against the main view ideas of what constitutes a good diet atm
Multiverse1 Resident: and, is it working?
Zen Arado: so hope I will survive
Zen Arado: only tried it for a week
    Zen Arado: so far
    Zen Arado: low carb
oO0Oo Resident: good carbs bad carbs?
Multiverse1 Resident: I hope such also, who would paint the cabbages then
Eliza Madrigal: why so much dieting Zen?
    Zen Arado: very like Atkins
Zen Arado: yes same guy Sam
    Zen Arado: Gary Taubes
Korel Laloix: Well they tell me to eat lots of carbs to gain weight, so it would follow that eating less should be good for most trying to loose.
    Zen Arado: Wester started it
Zen Arado: she lost 30 lbs
Multiverse1 Resident: works for her then
    Multiverse1 Resident: wortha try
Eliza Madrigal: good results long term?
Zen Arado: the book is very convincing
Zen Arado: 'Why We get fat'
oO0Oo Resident: no one lives long enough to measure Eliza ;)
    Eliza Madrigal: :)))
    Multiverse1 Resident: :-)
Eliza Madrigal: I like all the diets that tell you to be very indulgent in small amounts
    Korel Laloix: Frustrating topic.
Zen Arado: there is a good study of diets ion outube
    oO0Oo Resident: confirmation bias diet
Zen Arado: a guy who was a vegetearian 25 years
    Eliza Madrigal: hahaha
    Zen Arado: and a nutritionist
Zen Arado: was horrified to see Atkins diet doo really well in all sorts ot studies
    Zen Arado: true Sam
    --BELL--

Eliza Madrigal: just have seen so many people do great on diets and then beat themselves up later when it didn't 'stick' because long term not sustainable
Multiverse1 Resident: I am going to have an omlet now, this hungry talk makes me so.
    Multiverse1 Resident: Bye all
Zen Arado: hard to be open but Ihave treid various diets in the past
    Eliza Madrigal: :) Bye Multi
    oO0Oo Resident: Bye Multi.. :)
    Zen Arado: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eREuZEdMAVo
Eliza Madrigal: for myself think it is better to prepare the ground for a long time then make a kind of lifetime shift
Zen Arado: that is a pretty unbiased view I think
Zen Arado: or try it and see
oO0Oo Resident: diets can be a way of trying to paint ourselves
Zen Arado: but we have to choose
Eliza Madrigal: nods, and try things
Zen Arado: I tend to challenge conventional views I guess
    Zen Arado: rebel Zen :)
Zen Arado: yeh sticking is hardest
Zen Arado: and our culture is always pushing sugary foods on us
Eliza Madrigal: processing more a prob than sugar maybe
Zen Arado: and easily digestible carbs that are easily turned into sugar
Zen Arado: processing oftens adds carbs?
    Eliza Madrigal: imbalances
Zen Arado: maybe I am too old for my body to change
oO0Oo Resident: it will change without your help Zen
Zen Arado: I notice I don't feel much hunger during the day now
Korel Laloix: I just don't like sweet stuff.
oO0Oo Resident: maybe not as you wish
Korel Laloix: I can only handly honey when on something savory like frybread.
Zen Arado: oh I know Sam :(
Korel Laloix: Can't do candybars at all.
    oO0Oo Resident: :)
    Eliza Madrigal: mmmm
Eliza Madrigal: honey should go on everything...
    oO0Oo Resident: hahaha
Korel Laloix: Chocolate that is over 60% I like though.
Eliza Madrigal: wonder what it takes like on brussell sprouts...haha
    Korel Laloix: oh ick
    druth Vlodovic: catch you later
    Eliza Madrigal giggles
Korel Laloix: Hvae to get some work done.
Zen Arado: statistic on obesity in America at start of that video are shocking
    Eliza Madrigal: Bye Druth :)
Eliza Madrigal: it is we've lost our taste buds
    Zen Arado: byr Druth, Korel
oO0Oo Resident: I need to scoot too.. thanks everyone.. bfn
Eliza Madrigal: bye Sam :) ty
Korel Laloix: The statistic on alcoholism are stagering.
    Korel Laloix: (joke)
    Zen Arado: :)
    Korel Laloix: Take care
Zen Arado: how come if we are eating healthier?
    Eliza Madrigal: sit back down...
    Eliza Madrigal: lol
Zen Arado: on that note I will depart :)
    Eliza Madrigal: hahah
    Eliza Madrigal: OK
    Eliza Madrigal: question and run
Zen Arado: take care Eliza :)
Eliza Madrigal: bye :) be well
    Zen Arado: best way :)
Eliza Madrigal: if one really wants an answer? :)
