Paradise Tennant: cleaned and washed down my bedroom today ..found things long lost under the bed :) funny you completely forget about them and then there they are :)

Paradise Tennant: and when you need them there they are there to offer comfort solace .. space to breathe and be .. a kind of wholeness to you because ...we are such composite . and much of us is a few steps behind

Paradise Tennant: like looking at yours self in the frames of a cartoonist's sketch .. we are like a moving picture :)

Bertrum Resident: My question about this is, why are some "items" in time stored as memories (sometimes irrespective of the importance of the "item" and other time not stored at all)
Bertrum Resident: other times
Eos Amaterasu: Can you offer an example, Bertrum?
Paradise Tennant: you mean all the subway rides and the bus stops standing :)
Bertrum Resident: Yes. One doesn't store everything.
Eos Amaterasu: hmm, memory tends to fade, but then call also restore itself
Paradise Tennant: I guess there has to be a connection there .. to the moment ..the company the situation how you felt
Bertrum Resident: Aside from pain or pleasure as the atom around which a memory is created and stored, what else do you suppose causes a memory to be stored?
Eos Amaterasu: sudden, unexpected moments get stored
Bertrum Resident: Some or all?
Eos Amaterasu: if I only knew :-)
Eos Amaterasu: we don't store most of our current visual field either
Eos Amaterasu: maybe you weave a kind of tight story around yourself
Eos Amaterasu: and you choose the memories that are part of the story
Eos Amaterasu: this is the "paradise tennant experience" story
Paradise Tennant: we remember our imagination it seems then
Eos Amaterasu: and the story of our memories of ourselves
Eos Amaterasu: (... mixing memory and identity...)
Bertrum Resident: That would make sense. On the other hand, the dreams we have often stem from memories that seem highly unrelated to a recognizable personal narrative.
Eos Amaterasu: we may not speak on all layers of the identity stack
Paradise Tennant: hmm think our dreams relate to just other parts of ourselves something more elemental
Eos Amaterasu: more basic language
Paradise Tennant: yes ..
Bertrum Resident: Is that language universal or individualized?
Eos Amaterasu: Can you say more about "universal or individualized"?
Bertrum Resident: I'm playing off of your observation of dream image/memories as a "more basic language.
Eos Amaterasu: ah, yes, I think more basic both in terms of what we can grasp with current conceptual/intentional apparatus
Paradise Tennant: think dreams come sometimes for the bigger we .. from the connected whole that we really are

Bertrum Resident: My question is whether or not that more basic language is shared by all humanity. In other words part of human "hard-wiring."
Eos Amaterasu: I think more like plant rooting, perhaps
Eos Amaterasu: after all, we are billions of microorganisms
