Eliza Madrigal: 's current display-name is "Eliza".
    Eliza Madrigal: osiyo
    Korel Laloix: Heya
Eliza Madrigal: :) how's it going tonight?
Korel Laloix: Relaxing a bit... been a rough week and not really any homework to do.
Korel Laloix: So have a glass and a chat in SL.
    Korel Laloix: Wow lag.
Eliza Madrigal: rough week due to transitions and such?
Korel Laloix: What you up to?
    Korel Laloix: Yes.
Korel Laloix: Just eariler than I wanted.
Eliza Madrigal: winding down the day
    Eliza Madrigal: Oh?
Korel Laloix: Long story, but had to move out earlier than I wanted... my new place will not be ready until Friday... so staying with friends.
Eliza Madrigal: oh goodness... that IS a rough week, sorry to hear not easier
Korel Laloix: Start my new job on Monday though.
Eliza Madrigal: no more SL at work?
Korel Laloix: I very much doubt it.
Eliza Madrigal: is your new job related to your field of study?
Korel Laloix: Yes... doing lab reporting and will get trained on the actual tests as well.
    Eliza Madrigal: fantastic
Eliza Madrigal: I've often found that one thing doesn't happen at a time when it comes to transitions
Eliza Madrigal: one thing moves, and seems to move others
    Korel Laloix: Very true.
Korel Laloix: Just wanting to get back to stability.

    --BELL--

    Eliza Madrigal: understandable
Korel Laloix: It is good though.. to move on I think.
Korel Laloix: At least I have a job.
Eliza Madrigal: sounds that way, yes
Eliza Madrigal: and you've worked hard to sort of come to the place where you can come into your own a bit more
Korel Laloix: I think so... just sort of thrilled by but scared of the unknown.
Eliza Madrigal: I spent the day with one of my daughters, going through things in her room, gathering donations.. we're in a bit of that sort of place as well, though different
Eliza Madrigal: and I swing from wildly happy about it to terrified :)
Korel Laloix: She moving out or the like?
    Eliza Madrigal: we're moving...into a smaller place
Catrinamonblue Resident: 's current display-name is "Catrinamonblue".
Korel Laloix: I am as well.... so I know how that feels in a way.
Korel Laloix: But I really don;t own much.
Eliza Madrigal: Hi Catrina fairy :)
    Korel Laloix: brb
    Catrinamonblue Resident: Hi :)
    Eliza Madrigal: been playing Catrina?
Catrinamonblue Resident: oh yes and shopping too :)
    Eliza Madrigal smiles
Eliza Madrigal: you will have hundreds of wings soon
Catrinamonblue Resident: 7 dresses so far :) maybe time to stop looking :)
Eliza Madrigal: feels great to change presentations - have you learned to save entire outfits?
    Catrinamonblue Resident: yes
Korel Laloix: I wish I could figure out a way of thinking that wold let me part with my collection of brides maid dresses.
Eliza Madrigal: haha.. how sentimental of you Kori
    Catrinamonblue Resident: :)
Korel Laloix: And some are horrid.
    Eliza Madrigal grins
Korel Laloix: They make up the biggest bulk I guess you could say.
Eliza Madrigal: not sure what one does with those :)
Korel Laloix: Not sure either is my problem... smiles
Catrinamonblue Resident: A friend of mine sold hers
Korel Laloix: I would feel cheep doing that though.
Korel Laloix: As they were all gifts really.
Catrinamonblue Resident: ah yes I see
Eliza Madrigal: I think it is okay to do so if it was needed... I was once given shoes that I would never have purchased, however my daughter's band fees came up and they became of use :)
Eliza Madrigal: fun to think about where objects go and how they move around
Korel Laloix: Guess that makes sense.
Korel Laloix: Pretty sure there is not a big demand in my size though....
Korel Laloix: The ones from the weddings that are now divorced though... I am almost ready to get rid of.
Eliza Madrigal: maybe not :) I always envied a friend of mine who wore size 4.5 to 5 shoes and would find them easily for sale/clearance whilst I'm the "average"
Korel Laloix: Well yes, but I am 4'9 and 78lbs... not a common size... for an adult at least.
Eliza Madrigal: any ideas for topics tomorrow?
Korel Laloix: Getting rid of clutter... physical, emotional and spiritual.
Catrinamonblue Resident: clutter of the body, mind and soul, I like that
Eliza Madrigal: spiritual clutter... interesting idea
Korel Laloix: This could be the kick of session for it...
Santoshima Resident: 's current display-name is "San".
Korel Laloix: I mean, I dont want to get rid of the dresses becuase of the emotional baggage that comes with them.

    --BELL--

Catrinamonblue Resident: there is a saying I heard, something along the lines of, the state of your house reflects the state of your mind, a cluttered house refelcts a cluttered mind
    Eliza Madrigal: Hi Eos :)
    Catrinamonblue Resident: Hi Eos :)
    Korel Laloix: Heya
Eos Amaterasu: hi Eliza Korel Cat
    Eos Amaterasu: San
    Eliza Madrigal looks around
Korel Laloix: Not sure about that... I have virtual no clutter and have a hard time focusing sometiems.
Eos Amaterasu: no-clutter & detail simultaneously
Korel Laloix: Maybe my useless bulking dress collection is my clutter.
Catrinamonblue Resident: I'm sure it doesn't reflect on every situation, yours being rather unique to my mind, but have seen this in others lives
Korel Laloix: Would have to think about it.
Korel Laloix: A lot of old people have a lot of stuff... so does your mind alwasy get cluttered as you get old?
Eliza Madrigal: not all baggage is detrimental perhaps... have found myself at both poles, of extreme no-clutter and well... okay maybe I've not swung the other way but have learned to live with/appreciate others' clutter
Eos Amaterasu: the visible but unattended-to .... clutter?
Eliza Madrigal: I'm attached to things like making the bed... walking into a room with a made bed is like ::;ahhhh:::::
Eliza Madrigal: that's a good definition actually, of what makes for clutter ... visible but untended to
Korel Laloix: I always make my bed as well.. but that is becuase of my overly type A personality... grins
Catrinamonblue Resident: I started out "collecting" a bunch of stuff, got very cluttered, and have slowly been getting rid of stuff and have found myself feeling lighter with out all this stuff to worry about
Korel Laloix: So is that definition good for emotional and spiritual clutter as well?
    Eos Amaterasu: say more?
    Eliza Madrigal: burrowing away underneath
Korel Laloix: I think our bad habbits and self destructive tendancies could be clutter.
Eos Amaterasu: yeah, thinking of 'emotional clutter' that way
Catrinamonblue Resident: I wonder if we sometimes worry too much about things we can not change or control, not just other people, but stuff in our lives
Korel Laloix: Paterns that are visible but not tuned to be of benift.
    Eliza Madrigal: unquestioned and un-revisited
Korel Laloix: But far more difficult to tidy up though.
Eliza Madrigal: well it is all entangled... we with other, stuff with emotions, etc
    Catrinamonblue Resident: brb
Eos Amaterasu: clutter is maybe also the half finished, or not done
Korel Laloix: You can put away a genuine elvis jack daniels bottle, but you cant just tuck away an addicion or bad habbit.
Eliza Madrigal: ever have some object break or be lost, and it cause a strong emotional response?
Korel Laloix: Or maybe things that are fully finished, but past their use by date.
    Korel Laloix: Yes.
Eliza Madrigal: the time element is very interesting... what makes sense at one time is clutter for another
Korel Laloix: Well, a parking pass that is good for one day is a very usefull item.... for one day.
    Eliza Madrigal: :)
Korel Laloix: After that day, it is just clutter in yoru car.
    Catrinamonblue Resident: back
Korel Laloix: I don't think things start out as clutter... they just evolve into clutter.
Korel Laloix: part of the life cycle of stuff it seems.
Eliza Madrigal: my daughter is quite sentimental and keeps so many things... going through her room today was very moving at times, and seeing her able to part with some things was impressive

    --BELL--

Eliza Madrigal: I was glad she kept so much :) but I also felt those pangs of "things unfinished"
Korel Laloix: I have few things I am attached to... but they almost all have functions.
Catrinamonblue Resident: thinks of the boxes in the closet that contain her childhood
Korel Laloix: But when you are attached to something useless.... is that another definition of clutter?
Eliza Madrigal: how could it be useless?
Korel Laloix: Grandma has these plates she hangs on othe wall.
Korel Laloix: Never uses them for food.
    Eos Amaterasu: :-)
    Catrinamonblue Resident: smiles
    Eliza Madrigal smiles
    Santoshima Resident: hello
Korel Laloix: Never pays attention to them.
    Eliza Madrigal: Hi San :)
    Korel Laloix: Never dusts them.
Korel Laloix: But is attached to them.
Eos Amaterasu: food keeps sliding off
Eliza Madrigal: we're discussing clutter of all kinds
    Eliza Madrigal giggles @ Eos
    Eos Amaterasu: chachkas
Catrinamonblue Resident: looks at the collection of seashells and rocks collected from vacations, are they useless?
Eos Amaterasu looks over at his windowsill and remnants of various excursions there
    Catrinamonblue Resident: they hold memories
Eliza Madrigal: function is a particular word.... physical functions, emotional functions, spiritual functions
Santoshima Resident: i am on a slow connection at a hostel far from home. i can't seem to claim the log. could someone do that and send me the link, please?
    Eliza Madrigal: Hi Aphrodite :)
Korel Laloix: I like that distinction Eliza.
    Catrinamonblue Resident: Hi Aph
Eliza Madrigal: Hi can San, or can post the session if you like
    Eliza Madrigal: I=Hi
    Korel Laloix: Heya
    Eos Amaterasu: Hi Aph
Eliza Madrigal: but looks like I'll have to steal it back from Aph to do so :P
Korel Laloix: So a thing can have an emotional purpose alone, with no practical function.
Aphrodite Macbain: Hi everyone. San, I claimed it
Catrinamonblue Resident: yes I think so
Eos Amaterasu: the stars just shine
Santoshima Resident: ty, or send it to me, and I will post, whatever is easier for you, aph
Korel Laloix: So an emotional dust collecting paperweight... smiles
    Korel Laloix: brb phone
Aphrodite Macbain: ok. I'll send it to you later. :-)
Eliza Madrigal: indeed I think so Korel, and that the way we relate to things may bring us to function perhaps differently
Santoshima Resident: ty, bye for now ~
    Eliza Madrigal waves
    Catrinamonblue Resident: Bye san
Eliza Madrigal: where do the stars just shine?
Eos Amaterasu: above our clouds ?
Korel Laloix: Back in a bit.
Eos Amaterasu: are the stars in the sky clutter?
Eliza Madrigal: they don't seem to take up space :)
Eos Amaterasu: they seem to show us space
Eliza Madrigal: suppose a good measure for words, as well
    Eos Amaterasu: and music
Eos Amaterasu: and clutter hides space?
    Aphrodite Macbain: yes

    --BELL--

Aphrodite Macbain: or covers up spaciousness
Catrinamonblue Resident: we are all made of star stuff :) space and stuff seem to go hand in hand, space needing to be filled and stuff needing space
    Eliza Madrigal: Hello yosu
Eliza Madrigal: please join us if you like, and I'll give you a note about the group
Eos Amaterasu: is "clutter" this week's theme?
Eliza Madrigal: "others" is the theme, but we got into a conversation about clutter when discussing Kori's move
druth Vlodovic: the difference between a collection of stuff and clutter would be mental
druth Vlodovic: clutter would be too much inanimate "others"
Aphrodite Macbain: clutter wold be what you dont want. A bit like sound vs noise
Eliza Madrigal: ☯ <--space and stuff
    Catrinamonblue Resident: smiles
Eliza Madrigal: or something you have to move around? that hinders in some way?
Eos Amaterasu: things not in their right place?
Eliza Madrigal: hm, perhaps... like, a spiritual path may be facilitating or obstructing at various points?
druth Vlodovic: what if clutter is in it's right place, and makes a place feel cozy and warm
    Aphrodite Macbain: deliberate clutter?
Catrinamonblue Resident: is it clutter if it serves a purpose?
Aphrodite Macbain: my clutter seems to quietly accumulate until it is ipossible to operate. Then I clear it.
druth Vlodovic: it can sneak upon you
    Eliza Madrigal: various thresholds
    Eliza Madrigal: cozy purposes
Aphrodite Macbain: I hae other things on my mind and dont put pthings in the right place to begin with
    Aphrodite Macbain: have
Aphrodite Macbain: then all hell breaks loose and I start tripping over things
Eliza Madrigal: Korel asked earlier if habits or destructive tendencies can be seen as clutter... emotional clutter
Eos Amaterasu: boom and bust cycles in the clutter markets
    Eliza Madrigal: :)
Eliza Madrigal: one person's need for space may be felt as clutter by another they live with too...so personal :)
    Catrinamonblue Resident: yes
    Aphrodite Macbain: lol Eos
    Aphrodite Macbain: boom and bust.
Eos Amaterasu: hard nuggets of unattended to, actively ignored emotionality, act as clutter
Aphrodite Macbain: they block the way
Catrinamonblue Resident: says a clean freak living with a clutter collector :)
    Aphrodite Macbain: grins
    Eliza Madrigal: :)
    Eos Amaterasu: more yin yang
    Catrinamonblue Resident: :)
Eliza Madrigal: "other people's clutter" lol

    --BELL--

druth Vlodovic: the hard thing is to know what is clutter and what is the other person's possessions
    Catrinamonblue Resident: :)
Aphrodite Macbain: It can be both
druth Vlodovic: "stuff: my junk, Junk, other people's stuff"
    Catrinamonblue Resident: true
Eliza Madrigal thinks of George Carlin :)
druth Vlodovic: Ilike a house that looks "lived in"
Eliza Madrigal: Oh I love visiting "lived in" homes, yet have never let mine feel that way
druth Vlodovic: can't imagine living in one of these houses that looks like sets in a furniture store
Eos Amaterasu: zen tea ceremony combines extreme space with extreme detail
    Eos Amaterasu: super chachkas
    Eliza Madrigal grins
Eos Amaterasu: every utensil has a story
Eliza Madrigal: there was a woman... she loved to cook, and particularly spaghetti sauce with wooden spoons...
Eliza Madrigal: when she passed away all the grandchildren received one of her spoons..worn down on the corners
    Eliza Madrigal: from her stirring
    Catrinamonblue Resident: how sweet
    Aphrodite Macbain: smiles
    druth Vlodovic: :)
Aphrodite Macbain: like old knives worn by cutting
    Eliza Madrigal: :)
Eos Amaterasu excuses himself: good night all, thnx, cheers!
Eliza Madrigal: Night Eos, pleasant sleep
    Catrinamonblue Resident: Night Eos
    Aphrodite Macbain: waves.
Aphrodite Macbain: I think I'll go too - busy day and I go to the Zen centre tomorrow bright and early
    Eliza Madrigal: oh? that's great
Eliza Madrigal: is this for a retreat Aph?
druth Vlodovic trying to imagine aph with a shaved head and orange robes
Aphrodite Macbain: yes- to first get an orienttion
    Eliza Madrigal: wonderful
Catrinamonblue Resident: oh sounds good Aph
Aphrodite Macbain: I have alread gone the shaved head route
Aphrodite Macbain: then I will be able to go for longer
    druth Vlodovic: halfway there :)
    Eliza Madrigal: :)
    Eliza Madrigal: openness and detail
Aphrodite Macbain: and I paintedmy head with henna!
    Catrinamonblue Resident: neat
Eliza Madrigal: :)) you're one neat lady Aph
druth Vlodovic: watch yourself,we might start asking to see pictures
Aphrodite Macbain: I a looking forward to sitting silently with other people for a day
Aphrodite Macbain: then maybe expanding the time
Aphrodite Macbain: getting rid of the clutter
Eliza Madrigal: I would imagine your sketching is similar to the sensibility... open patient space and fine distinctions
    druth Vlodovic: :)
    Aphrodite Macbain: smiles at Eliza
    Aphrodite Macbain: (((Eliza)))
Eliza Madrigal: will look forward to hearing about it all ((((((((((((Aph))))))))))))
Aphrodite Macbain: I painted a cala lily yesterday.
Eliza Madrigal: that I think we insist on pictures of :)
Catrinamonblue Resident: would love to see it are you going to post it in the 99 days?
Aphrodite Macbain: it needs a bit more work - but I'll post it on 99 days
    Catrinamonblue Resident: snap :)
    Eliza Madrigal: snap
    Aphrodite Macbain: :-) great minds...
    Catrinamonblue Resident: :)
Eliza Madrigal giggles... getting late our minds are melding
    Catrinamonblue Resident: smiles
Aphrodite Macbain: so I'm doing that and have signed up for volunteering at the local botanical garden.
Aphrodite Macbain: and there is a full moon
Aphrodite Macbain: all is calm all is bright!
Eliza Madrigal: there is, nearly so :)
druth Vlodovic: does that explain all the activity?
Aphrodite Macbain: I suspect that ight have something to do with it.
Aphrodite Macbain: Things are beginning to come together
druth Vlodovic: actually I can't imagine you sitting still for long, you get so busy signing up for things aph
Eliza Madrigal: Night Aph :) pleasant dreams
Catrinamonblue Resident: good luck tomorrow Aph
    Aphrodite Macbain: pokes druth
    druth Vlodovic: sweet dreams aph
    Catrinamonblue Resident: pokes Druth x2
    Aphrodite Macbain: thanks Cat,

Aphrodite Macbain: I'll try and be back for my session but wont be here for the Guardian meeting
Eliza Madrigal: I should go too... feel very peaceful and seems a good time to climb into made bed :)
    --BELL--
Eliza Madrigal: yes, I gathered :) we'll let you off the hook this once ;-)
    Aphrodite Macbain: bye lovely people
Catrinamonblue Resident: sounds like a great idea Eliza
    Catrinamonblue Resident: Night
