The Guardian for this meeting was Agatha Macbeth. The comments are by Agatha Macbeth.

Agatha Macbeth: Seems like a quiet day Mr Recorder....

    Qt Core: Hi Agatha

Agatha Macbeth: Buona sera QT :)

Agatha Macbeth: I was beginning to think I had the time wrong or something

Qt Core: :-) i was wrong all these two week thanks to dst

Agatha Macbeth: Yes, it's so annoying

Qt Core: just two days untill we'll be on the same page (hour) again

Catrinamonblue Resident: 's current display-name is "Catrinamonblue".

     --BELL--1315

    Agatha Macbeth: Fortunately :)

Qt Core: Hi Cat, hi Wol

Agatha Macbeth: Hello Wollie and Cat

    Catrinamonblue Resident: Hi guys :)

Wol Euler: good evening, my dears

Agatha Macbeth: Is it just me or has SL been a pain the last two days?

Wol Euler: is anyone else having viewr trouble? I see only half of the pink flower, cut off at the edge of the water

    Wol Euler: yes, it has

    Agatha Macbeth: Me too

Catrinamonblue Resident: I'm ok but haven't been in SL much this week

Wol Euler: I'm betting that there will be anohter server software rollback pretty soon :)

Agatha Macbeth: Yes, I hear quite a few sims were offline

Wol Euler: like poor Titania out there, stuck in a timeloop, rocking back nd forth

Agatha Macbeth: Oh the dancing noob?

Qt Core: can't she tp away ?

Agatha Macbeth: Wonder if she is actually here?

    Wol Euler: she's away

Wol Euler: and I guess something is resting on her keyboard, maybe a cat?

    Agatha Macbeth: Not ghosted then?

    Wol Euler: definitely "away"

    Agatha Macbeth: Hm

    Wol Euler: anyway.

Wol Euler: this feels like Friday to me, because the weekend starts tonight

Agatha Macbeth: Does that girl still stand in the same place in Mugunghwa all day?

Wol Euler: Ollie? yes, she's still there. Though she was away for a few days recently. I was amazed

Wol Euler: but returned and is as inert as ever

    Agatha Macbeth: Good grief

Wol Euler: I reckon she must be a bot

Agatha Macbeth: I would love to know her story

Agatha Macbeth: What I can't work out is the attraction of that particular spot

Wol Euler: (there's an avatar that stands still on a piece of empty land near my beach house, and has stood there for nearly a year)

Wol Euler: nobody owns it :) it's Linden land, so nobody will build, and nobody can make her move away

    Agatha Macbeth: She never responds?

Wol Euler: if she stood in Mugunghwa, somebody would send her hom,e

    Wol Euler: nope

    Agatha Macbeth: How strange

Wol Euler: must be a bot

Wol Euler: which would explain why she can be online 24/7 for weeks at a time. She's actually running from a server somewhere, not from a personal PC

Agatha Macbeth: The funniest part is her profile says 'say hello' :P

    Wol Euler grins.

Agatha Macbeth: But if do you she ignores you!

    Wol Euler: camouflage

    Agatha Macbeth: Must be

Wol Euler: perhaps she wasn't intended to be a bot, and got turned into one by her typist's business interests

    Wol Euler: zombified

Agatha Macbeth: What do people use bots for?

Wol Euler: checking traffic, faking high traffic, stealing data

    Agatha Macbeth: Hmm

Agatha Macbeth: I haven't seen Observer M for ages

Wol Euler: I think we bored Cat and QT to sleep with our talka bout Ollie

    Qt Core: no

Wol Euler: no, that's true, he hasn't been around in quite a while

Wol Euler: perhaps not this year, that I have seen

Agatha Macbeth: Maybe he completed his mission

    Wol Euler: I guess

Qt Core: back tto his planet ?

    Agatha Macbeth: Yeh

    Wol Euler: he called home

    Wol Euler smiles.

Agatha Macbeth: Don't think his ears were pointy

Qt Core: Mork was nicer ;-)

Agatha Macbeth: Mindy was nicer still :p

    Qt Core: no comment ;-)

    Agatha Macbeth: Nanu nanu

Wol Euler: she had a thankless role, the harmless nice girl

Catrinamonblue Resident: Just don't really know what to say is all :)

Agatha Macbeth: We need more of them

Wol Euler: just a foil for his idiocy

    Agatha Macbeth: The fall girl

     --BELL--1330

Wol Euler: so, what are people's plans for Easter?

    Agatha Macbeth: Eggs most likely

Wol Euler: other than remembering the time change on Sunday morning

    Catrinamonblue Resident: home sleep relax

Agatha Macbeth: And bunnies but I never seem to see them

Qt Core: nothing planned and planned nothing

    Wol Euler: I

Wol Euler: I'll be spending tomorrow and Saturday in the Black Forest, with boss's family at his parents house

Wol Euler: doing stuff for the kids (2 and 5)

    Agatha Macbeth: Eating gateau?

Wol Euler: I went downtown today and bought a whole bag full of chocolates and other stuff

    Agatha Macbeth: Aww

    Wol Euler: no gateau :)

Wol Euler: we export that stuff

Wol Euler: like the white wine :)

    Agatha Macbeth: Right

Agatha Macbeth: 'Doing stuff for the kids' makes you sound like an entertainer or something

    Wol Euler smiles.

Wol Euler: well, it all revolves around them now

Agatha Macbeth: Yes, they have that effect

Agatha Macbeth: What's the topic this week?

Wol Euler looks at the signboard.

Agatha Macbeth: And what does it say?

Wol Euler squints theatrically and says "Stories of PaB"

    Agatha Macbeth: Hmmm

Wol Euler: you need new glasses, m'dear.

Agatha Macbeth: No just can't be arsed to move my cam that's all

Wol Euler: my god, that is a pinnnacle of laziness

    Wol Euler grins.

    Agatha Macbeth: Yeh

Agatha Macbeth: Well once I'm set up I don't like to move

Wol Euler: tell us your story of PaB, Aggers.

Agatha Macbeth: You already know it!!!

Wol Euler: Tell us what you were doing, thinking, feeling as you hung out up on the balcony for weeks and weeks.

Agatha Macbeth: It was only a couple of times actually, you kept catching me!

    Wol Euler smiles.

Agatha Macbeth: What i didn't realise of course was that you knew I was there

    Wol Euler grins.

Agatha Macbeth: It seemed so odd to see all these people just sitting in the middle of nowhere

Wol Euler: the circle of green dots on teh map is magically attractive, yes.

Agatha Macbeth: Hm, odd that I always yurned up when there was a meeting

    Agatha Macbeth: turned*

Wol Euler: yearned too, I guess :)

    Agatha Macbeth: Could be

    Wol Euler smiles.

Wol Euler: our memories seem to diverge, my impression is that you came for a longer time, and more often, than you seem to remember

Wol Euler: before dropping down to meet us

Agatha Macbeth: Nah, only two or three

    Wol Euler: surely not :)

    Wol Euler: anyway :)

Agatha Macbeth: And never for long enough to work out what was going on

Wol Euler: and yet you came back :) good.

    Agatha Macbeth: Bad penny

Agatha Macbeth: Or just nosey perhaps

    Wol Euler smiles.

Agatha Macbeth: Whatever happened to Doug Sosa?

     --BELL--1345

    Wol Euler shakes her head.

Wol Euler: he just stopped coming, about the same time Stim did I think

Agatha Macbeth: Does he still own the old PaB pavilion?

    Wol Euler: no idea

Wol Euler: I haven't been back there in a wihle

Agatha Macbeth: It's still there I think

Agatha Macbeth: Are you this quiet in RL Cat?

Catrinamonblue Resident: sheepish grin... busy with ims :)

    Wol Euler listens.

    Agatha Macbeth: Hehe

Agatha Macbeth: Usually that or email I suppose

    Catrinamonblue Resident: :)

Catrinamonblue Resident: I was trying to listen but you guys were talking about things I didn't know of so I went off in another direction :)

Agatha Macbeth: Ah we do tend to do that

    Wol Euler: sorry

Wol Euler: I wondered whether that was happening :(

    Catrinamonblue Resident: :) it's ok

Agatha Macbeth: Gabble gabble that's us

    Catrinamonblue Resident: :)

Agatha Macbeth: Funny how one just talks more with some people around than others

Agatha Macbeth: Liz has the same effect on me

    Catrinamonblue Resident: :)

Catrinamonblue Resident: yes me too :) she is a wonderful talker and listner

    Agatha Macbeth: Sure is

Agatha Macbeth: Hope she finds a bit of time for herself during the holidays

    Wol Euler smiles.

Agatha Macbeth: That poor girl seems to have finally escaped anyway

Agatha Macbeth: I swear SL was nowhere near as buggy when I first came here

Catrinamonblue Resident: must get going and put dinner on for the gang :) before they start to gnaw the furniture

Agatha Macbeth: Bye Cat, cook well

    Qt Core: Bye cat, enjoy

    Catrinamonblue Resident: bye everyone :)

     --BELL--1400

    Wol Euler: bye cat!

Agatha Macbeth: Man, I can't stop yawning

Wol Euler: so go to bed :)

Wol Euler: heh, this is a turn-around, me saying that to you :)

Agatha Macbeth: Might hit the couch after this is over

Agatha Macbeth: Way too early for bet yet

    Agatha Macbeth: bed*

Wol Euler: why do people say that?

Wol Euler: what does that actually mean?

    Agatha Macbeth: Say what?

Wol Euler: that it is too early for bed, when clearly you are tired.

Agatha Macbeth: Just nowhere near near bed time yet

Qt Core: as being used to sleep a certain number of hours you'll awoke too early

    Agatha Macbeth: Yes QT

Wol Euler: and that is a problem because ... ?

Agatha Macbeth: Not so much a problem, more a way of life

Qt Core: that's depend if you can do saomething with the extra time in the morning and other people around

    Wol Euler: true

Agatha Macbeth: Could have a bigger breakfast I suppose :p

Wol Euler: or read, or write, or mow the lawn

Wol Euler: or drink tea in bed and nap until the alarm goes

Agatha Macbeth: You have a lawn?

Agatha Macbeth: Must be in a window box

Agatha Macbeth: Still, those are the best kind, easy to mow

Wol Euler: you have a garden, I assumed a bit of lawn with it

Agatha Macbeth: Quite a lot of it sadly :(

    Wol Euler smiles.

    Wol Euler ponders.

Wol Euler: there does seem to be a fairly wioely-held belief that the evening hours are better or more valuable than the morning

Wol Euler: our veneration of the Night Owl as cultural ideal

    Agatha Macbeth: Gerry Rafferty?

    Fibes22 Resident: 's current display-name is "Fibes22".

Agatha Macbeth: I think most people prefer to be up in the light rather than the dark

    Agatha Macbeth: Except Dracula

Wol Euler: but we don't :) we were just moments ago talking about staying up late to avoid getting up early the next day

Agatha Macbeth: Well I'm the opposite

Qt Core: i like mornings, and the idea of a time/place not yet charted (even if i end up being very repetitve)

Agatha Macbeth: What's up with the recorder?

Qt Core: or the odea of other stil sleeping and not nothering me ;-)

Wol Euler: hopefully nothing :) I'm adding Louis to the list of guardians

    Agatha Macbeth: Aha

Qt Core: correct almost all the word of my last phrase....

    Agatha Macbeth: Tech stuff

    Agatha Macbeth: Hehe QT

     --BELL--1415

Agatha Macbeth: Is Louis a gurniad now then?

    Fibes22 Resident: What's a gurniad?

Agatha Macbeth: Where did you come from? :p

    Wol Euler: somebody who gurns

Fibes22 Resident: Wherever I came from, we don't "gurn" there.

Wol Euler: she probably means "guardian" :)

    Agatha Macbeth: Yah

Wol Euler: and yes, he is, as of today

    Agatha Macbeth: Aww nice

Fibes22 Resident: So what do you do here? Other than gurning?

Agatha Macbeth: Read the notecard I gave you...

Agatha Macbeth: Or have you lost it?

Fibes22 Resident: I read it, but it is more interesting to hear it from people doing whatever it is. I'm an anthropologist, so I guess I like hearing things in people's own words.

Agatha Macbeth: Ok Wollie, you tell him :p

    Wol Euler: well

Wol Euler: in theory we are a meditation group, meeting here to discuss our practices and matters that arise wihle sitting

Wol Euler: and that does sometimes happen

Wol Euler: much of the time, however, we just chat, as happened today

Fibes22 Resident: I see. I've always thought of meditation as being done in silence.

Qt Core: as sometimes life happens too ;-)

Agatha Macbeth: We have the pauses for that

Wol Euler: we meditate in silence, mostly, sure

Fibes22 Resident: Yes, I noticed, very short pauses.

Wol Euler: we meet here to talk

Wol Euler: the pauses are reminders

Fibes22 Resident: So, in other words, it's much more complex than the notcard you gave me.

Wol Euler: and also have the effect of giving us a chance to reconsider and perhaps calm down a little :)

Agatha Macbeth: Only if one wishes to make it so

Wol Euler: conversation benefits sometimes from being slowed down

Wol Euler: almost everything is more complex than any description of it, fibes :)

Wol Euler: in my experience and belief

Qt Core: omniscience is boring, then ?

Fibes22 Resident: Doesn't sound like it matters what one wishes, I'm speaking more from an objective perspective. Sounds like it is a complex environment.. And, yes, I agree that slmost anything is more complex than written down. That's why I asked...

Agatha Macbeth: Dunno QT, never tried it :p

Wol Euler: (sorry, RL calling, brb)

Agatha Macbeth: The best way to observe it is by attending meetings and watching it in practice I guess

    Fibes22 Resident: Participant observation

    Agatha Macbeth: Yep

Fibes22 Resident: I know a bit about that.

Agatha Macbeth: That is what I find anyway

Fibes22 Resident: I'm a cultural anthropologist, so that's largely how I do research.

    Agatha Macbeth: Right, interesting

Agatha Macbeth: I'm sure you would learn more in a bigger meeting when there are a lot of us present

Qt Core: you may find several quite different human spoecimen here ;-)

Agatha Macbeth: Tonight has been a bit slow

Fibes22 Resident: Could be, but I'm not here to do research. Human specimen?

    Qt Core: (just being silly)

Fibes22 Resident: Sounds like you don't much care for anthropologists.

Agatha Macbeth: Apart from you I don't think we know any

Fibes22 Resident: Well, you don't know me, so I guess you don't know any at all...

Agatha Macbeth: I know you better than I did ten minutes ago shall we say

    Fibes22 Resident: I suppose on a scale of 1 - 100 you've gotten the first .1%

Agatha Macbeth: The longest journey begins with a single step

Fibes22 Resident: nothing like a good cliche

Agatha Macbeth: They are cliches because they're true

Fibes22 Resident: Of course, that assumes a linear understanding of movement. A long journey might begin with multiple steps in multiple directions, including backwards.

     --BELL--1415

Agatha Macbeth: A first step in any direction is still a step

Fibes22 Resident: Ooo a force field!

    Wol Euler: back, reading

Agatha Macbeth: Anyway, time for moi to depart

    Agatha Macbeth: Have fun all

    Wol Euler: goodnight!

Wol Euler: sleep well, and happy easter

Fibes22 Resident: Is easter this weekend?

    Wol Euler: mmhmm

Fibes22 Resident: They should just standardize it like Xmas.

Wol Euler: oh it is standardized, just not calendarized

Fibes22 Resident: Actually, just doing away with it would be even better.

Wol Euler: it's the sunday after the fourth full moon after christmas

Wol Euler: (if I remember rightly. I know that it is moon-based)

    Fibes22 Resident: That sounds right.

Qt Core: first sundey after first full moon of spring

    Wol Euler nods.

Fibes22 Resident: Why not just make it the last sunday in march?

Wol Euler: write to the new pope and suggest it :)

Qt Core: because it is based on the jewish calendar, a moon one

Fibes22 Resident: Naw, I don't don't care enough. I don't like Xnity in any case, so I'm not too keen on wasting my time. I just ignore it to the extent that I can.

Qt Core: not even for the chocolate ?

Fibes22 Resident: No, the chocolate always is lousy.

Fibes22 Resident: At least in the US. Don't know about other places.

Qt Core: it mostly depend on how much you spend for it, but usually buying a block will be cheaper, yes

Fibes22 Resident: I will say that I am more likely to believe in the Easter Bunny than any god.

    Riddle Sideways: Hi ya'll

    Wol Euler: hello riddle

    Qt Core: hi riddle

Riddle Sideways: still here from 1pm

Wol Euler: yes, we are :)

    Fibes22 Resident: That's a long time.

Wol Euler: but I am off, I'm too tired. Goodnight all, take care

    Wol Euler: Happy Easter

Wol Euler: if one can say that :)

    Riddle Sideways: hi/bye Wol

Qt Core: sleep well, wol and happy EAster to you too

    Riddle Sideways: Hello Fibes

    Fibes22 Resident: hi

Riddle Sideways: have we met before?

    Fibes22 Resident: I don't think so

    Riddle Sideways: well welcome

Qt Core: coming here an hour earlier for dst issues we europeans usually stay longer

Qt Core: (or wi just will come here late)

Riddle Sideways: middle of workday here

Fibes22 Resident: End of workday here

Riddle Sideways: but slow processes running

Riddle Sideways: what was the topic today?

Qt Core: mostly chat with a brief stint of the week topic "Pab stories"

    Fibes22 Resident: Going home. Bye.

    Qt Core: bye Fibes

Riddle Sideways: bye and nice met

Riddle Sideways: long time since seeing QA

Qt Core: i'm going too, Riddle

    Riddle Sideways: QT

    Qt Core: yes ?

    Riddle Sideways: ok,

Riddle Sideways: will keep looking for something

    Qt Core: lost it ?

Riddle Sideways: just not found it

     --BELL--1430

    Qt Core: bye

    Riddle Sideways: bye
