Korel Laloix: Esle it jut lags the sim so much as to be unusable by eveyone that does not have ultra premium internet access.
Calvino Rabeni: oh um, computer overheated ... It tends to do that I have to keep an eye on it
Calvino Rabeni: then .. CRASH :(

Calvino Rabeni: this one is fast but goes too hot for its own good

Calvino Rabeni: it seems to me you should be able to cut out the features you don't want, and not have them load at all
Aphrodite Macbain: I use it with a lot of people
Korel Laloix: Voice is OK under very narrow circumstance.
Korel Laloix: Mesh is just useless though.

Calvino Rabeni: well, . it seems like one of the central features of Homo Economicus, the productive person, living in the life world of a corporation mentality, is problem solving .. it used to be productivity in a factory kind of way, but then we got the information society and our brains got enlisted more into it, and it turned into problem solving
Calvino Rabeni: as the primary activity of production in the information society

Raffila Millgrove: i feel lucky that i am not forced into it and own a small business instead.. so i work to my schedule not someone else.

Raffila Millgrove: my daughter says in Japan it's peer pressure. you are forced into this unproductive .. being at work for too many hrs. because of others doing it.

Calvino Rabeni: I've heard small business ends up being hard to keep in bounds, tends to turn into more hours than a 9-5 job
Raffila Millgrove: depends on whose the boss. in my case i don't want long hrs so.. we dont' have them.

Raffila Millgrove: i read that after a point... long hours turns out unproductive time. you do less in more time.
Aphrodite Macbain: it takes you longer to do tings and you make more mistakes
