Korel Laloix: Special occasion for clearing or just the normal?
Korel Laloix: I have managed to talk myself into clearing out my RL a bit.
Korel Laloix: Something I have been wanting to do for a while.
Aphrodite Macbain: yes- I find deleting can be hard emotionally - it's like letting go of memories
Korel Laloix: I remember what it was like when copybot was all over. My inventory got way up around 75000
Aphrodite Macbain: Don’t know copybot
Korel Laloix: I have cut my wardrobe quite a bit recently... including the dresses I never wear.. well some of them.
Aphrodite Macbain: you always need a little black dress!
Korel Laloix: There was a time when you could export a made item out of SL then copy it and then push it back in. I essentially made no copy no trans irrelevant.

Korel Laloix: So the economy of SL almost collapsed.
Aphrodite Macbain: a pair of jeans
phrodite Macbain: two t shirts, one jacket, 1 scarf, and 4 pairs of underwear.

Korel Laloix: My LBD is a bit big on me at the moment... I actually need that from time to time... so need a new one.... sort of five seasons ago now. But it was a high dollar gift at the time.

Korel Laloix: I use SL to sort of figure out new looks for RL sometimes.

Aphrodite Macbain: we have a suggested theme we can discuss this evening: "Reciprocity of Imaginative Play"

Eos Amaterasu: let's say you have an imaginary friend, and she talks back to you

Beautifulmarira Resident: I have lots of imagine friends :) they live inside me
Aphrodite Macbain: I give you something and you give me something- a reciprocal arrangement

Korel Laloix: Maybe different words here, but when I play soccer or roller derby, I am not treating things lightly.
Aphrodite Macbain: yes- allowing, not insisting on
Aphrodite Macbain: some games require one to be aggressive and strong
Aphrodite Macbain: the type of play we do here is to investigate the nature of being in an imaginative and playful way
Korel Laloix: I guess the word play has a wide degree of meanings.
Aphrodite Macbain: yes
Beautifulmarira Resident: any word had many ways of being
Aphrodite Macbain: but it is considered the opposite of work
Aphrodite Macbain: something you MUST do, an obligation
Beautifulmarira Resident: thinks work can be play too
Korel Laloix: I guess that is a great distinction.
Aphrodite Macbain: If we bring playfulness to work, we don’t think of it as a duty
Beautifulmarira Resident: duty and honor comes to mind when thinking of obligation
Korel Laloix: There are better attitudes to have at work than others.
Aphrodite Macbain: I have been fortunate to work in jobs I love
Beautifulmarira Resident: me too :-)
Aphrodite Macbain: where I do them because I love them, not because I must
Korel Laloix: I have only had four real jobs in my life and only half of them really sucked... smiles

Beautifulmarira Resident: smiles - my first jobs were like that till I found what I loved to do

Aphrodite Macbain: It's hard to continue doing them although many do

Korel Laloix: The two bad ones I left as soon as I could.

Korel Laloix: I used to work in a financial services office and I met that a lot.

Aphrodite Macbain: I think one can escape being trapped with enough imagination
