The Guardian for this meeting was Gaya Ethaniel. The comments are by Gaya Ethaniel.
Hana and I discuss our upcoming event at our geisha school.
Hana Hendrassen: hi Adams :)
Gaya Ethaniel: Hello Adams :)
Adams Rubble: Good Morning Hana and Gaya :)
Adams Rubble: what's happening?
Gaya Ethaniel: I was admiring Hana's outfit. :)
Hana Hendrassen smiles
Adams Rubble: It's very nice
Hana Hendrassen: I'm working on something for the okiya
Hana Hendrassen: thank you :)
Gaya Ethaniel smiles.
Gaya Ethaniel: That is also very nice... is that what you are making for the okiya?
Adams Rubble: what is the okiya?
Hana Hendrassen: the geisha school we are in. Blue Lotus
Adams Rubble: ah
Hana Hendrassen: this is the hairstyle and ornaments we'll be using for our spring dances
Adams Rubble nods
Gaya Ethaniel: In Japan, there is a spring dance that is performed each year by geisha traditionally. We are trying to recreate that in SL.
Hana Hendrassen: yes
Adams Rubble: neat
Hana Hendrassen: it's called the Miyako Odori... dance of the capital
Gaya Ethaniel: The capital being Kyoto before it was moved to Edo (Tokyo)
Hana Hendrassen: yep yep
Adams Rubble: :)
Hana Hendrassen: it was when they'd just moved the capital so they opened the dances to preserve the culture of the old one
Gaya Ethaniel: To keep the mass happy/happier :)
Hana Hendrassen giggles
Adams Rubble: :)
Hana Hendrassen: Gaya went to that class I think... I missed it ^_^;
Gaya Ethaniel: I missed it too...
Gaya Ethaniel: It is hard as most of them are in US
Hana Hendrassen: ah ok
I gingerly approach Adams about seeing him awake so early...
Gaya Ethaniel: It's very early/late for you Adams right?
Adams Rubble: Yes, 4:19 am
Adams Rubble: very early for Hana too
Gaya Ethaniel: No worries, she had too much cola.
Adams Rubble: or late
Adams Rubble: hehe
Gaya Ethaniel: What's keeping you awake?
Adams Rubble: Actually waking me up...not sure yet
Hana Hendrassen smiles "Yep, it was the coke"
Adams Rubble: I was in a very calm period
Hana Hendrassen: insomniacs unite!
Adams Rubble: Now something seems to be stirring again
Gaya Ethaniel smiles.
Gaya Ethaniel: ah... I see.
Adams Rubble: It may be a reaction again like last fall
Adams Rubble doesn;t want to do that again
Hana Hendrassen: uh oh
Gaya Ethaniel: Reaction?
Adams Rubble: Yes
Gaya Ethaniel: Against...?
Adams Rubble: I have found that by thinking of APAPB in the context of timelessness...
Adams Rubble: suggested by Stim
Adams Rubble: I can now drop my selves/identities rather readily
Adams Rubble: a few nights ago I had a dream
Adams Rubble: with awful imagery
Adams Rubble: that seemed to be a battle between the part of me that wants to connect
Adams Rubble: and the part of me that is threatened by it
Adams Rubble: It seemed to pass and that it would be short lived
Adams Rubble: but here I am up again
Gaya Ethaniel nods...
Adams Rubble: so maybe there will be more
Gaya Ethaniel: Perhaps yes...
Hana Hendrassen: I apologize, but I have to go.... need to finish this and I can't build here :(
Adams Rubble: I'd rather not do that again
Adams Rubble: bye Hana
Gaya Ethaniel: See you later Hana.
Hana Hendrassen: have a good morning both of you :)
Adams Rubble: nice seeing you
Gaya Ethaniel: Thanks you too :)
Hana Hendrassen: nice to see you too
Gaya Ethaniel: Guess sit tight and see what happens.
Adams Rubble hoping I didn't scare Hana away
Gaya Ethaniel: Nah... she has to finish that for the event soon.
Adams Rubble: I also have some projects to finish
Adams Rubble: I wonder to myself whether that is mixing up with the other
Gaya Ethaniel: The other?
Adams Rubble: that was part of last fall too
Adams Rubble: with the parts of me out of sync
Adams Rubble: Down Selves!
Adams Rubble: hehe
Gaya Ethaniel: Doesn't sound much fun somehow >.<
Adams Rubble reaches down and tries to stuff the selves back into the sack
Adams Rubble: hehe
Gaya Ethaniel smiles.
Gaya Ethaniel: When you get busy, this happens you think?
Gaya Ethaniel: Under stress?
Adams Rubble: It may be..I am still a novice at all this :)
Adams Rubble: I had a very engaged period for a little more than a week
Adams Rubble: I opened up like I did last summer
Adams Rubble: So yes, it may be that the stress is trying to close things back down
Adams Rubble: or the selves in reaction to the stress
Adams Rubble: or something like that
Gaya Ethaniel nods... possible yes.
Gaya Ethaniel: Stress can be intrusive to one's practice.
Gaya Ethaniel shrugs... sometimes it's just a fact of life.
Adams Rubble: yep
Adams Rubble gets out the old "Novice" tag
Adams Rubble: maybe I just need to get back to basics
Gaya Ethaniel: mm... I'm not sure if it's to do with basics or... non-basics.
Gaya Ethaniel: I'm also a beginner myself in this.
Adams Rubble: It is so easy to stray
Adams Rubble: One finds something and it is so hard to just hold on to that
Adams Rubble: It was a beautiful few days while it lasted
Gaya Ethaniel smiles.
Adams Rubble: If you will excuse me Gaya, I think I am going to try to go back to sleep
Adams Rubble: thank you for listening
Gaya Ethaniel: Good rest Adams. Thanks for coming.
Gaya Ethaniel: Take care.
Adams Rubble: Have a good day
Adams Rubble: you too :)
Gaya Ethaniel: Thanks :)
Adams Rubble: bye for now :)
