Raffila Millgrove: hello Catrina. lovely gown!
    --BELL--
Catrinamonblue Resident: good morning :) ty
Raffila Millgrove: I am up early today.. cause i am going downtown Los Angeles for Chinese breakfast (dim sum).
Raffila Millgrove: did you ever try it?
Catrinamonblue Resident: no, it sounds interesting though :)
Raffila Millgrove: oh it is all on little plate.
Raffila Millgrove: one plate of treats and they charge you by plate.
Raffila Millgrove: old days they stack up plates on table, count them. and charge. lol
Raffila Millgrove: they bring steam cart to your table.. and they tell you. what is in their cart.
    Catrinamonblue Resident: neat :)
Raffila Millgrove: like.. little dumplings.. rice paper wrapped shrimp. or dumpling or steam bun with pork in it.
Raffila Millgrove: many kinds of delicacy. and you say.. yes or no. and they put on table.
Raffila Millgrove: i like radish cakes. these. they cook for you..
Raffila Millgrove: on their portable grill. they wind all thru the restaurant with the special carts..
    Catrinamonblue Resident: radish cakes?
Raffila Millgrove: yes.. is like a turnip... if you can imagine a potato pancake? made with turnip?
Raffila Millgrove: that what the radish cake is like.
    Catrinamonblue Resident: oh neat
Raffila Millgrove: also i always start with porridge. the rice porridge.. very hearty has bits of chicken, mushroom, in it. and also i always have little salad of shredded seasweed.
Catrinamonblue Resident: I don't like radish but might be willing to try that :)
Raffila Millgrove: and i finish up with.. little tiny tart.. with egg custard filling. like tiny pie.
    Catrinamonblue Resident: sounds very yummy
Raffila Millgrove: in between are some chinese donut and slippery noodles
Raffila Millgrove: my whole family is thin.. but we are champion eaters.
    Catrinamonblue Resident: :)
Raffila Millgrove: hehe. we love to go to dim sum and eat slowly and many choices.. and drink a couple gallon of good tea to wash it all down.
Xirana Oximoxi: 's current display-name is "Xirana".
    Raffila Millgrove: hi Xirana.
Raffila Millgrove: how did your art opening go? i could not come. hope it was a success?
    Catrinamonblue Resident: Hi Xiri
Xirana Oximoxi: hello Raffi and Cat:)
Xirana Oximoxi: yes, it was a great opening:) Russell Eponym is a great singer and he always get a lot of audience :)
    Raffila Millgrove: oh great!
Mellie McMinnar: 's current display-name is "Mellie".
Catrinamonblue Resident: I'm sorry to have missed it too Xiri sounds like it went good though :)
    Mellie McMinnar: Hey
Xirana Oximoxi: I am having problems with my cnnexion... I hope it will work fine now
Raffila Millgrove: i was telling Catrina about the Chinese breakfast of dim sum.. i go for it pretty soon. It's not so different from tapas. little plates of treats. except you drink tea with it. not wine.
    Catrinamonblue Resident: Hi Melli
    Xirana Oximoxi: hello Mellie
    Raffila Millgrove: hello Mellie
Xirana Oximoxi: what is 'dim sum' ?
Mellie McMinnar: I can't see any of you yet
Raffila Millgrove: it is like Spanish tapa. a little plate.. of treats.
Mellie McMinnar: ah, there you are
Xirana Oximoxi: we look as beautiful as always :)
    Catrinamonblue Resident: yes :)
    Xirana Oximoxi: :)
Raffila Millgrove: except for breakfast. like dumplings. or donut.. or steam bun with barbecue pork. they have in steam carts and bring to your table. you chose what you like. very fun.
Xirana Oximoxi: ahhh sounds a great fun:)...and yes...quite similar to tapas
Raffila Millgrove: tapa are like that. small serving on a plate. sharing.
Raffila Millgrove: do you live in the US Cat, Mellie?
    Catrinamonblue Resident: Canada
Xirana Oximoxi: yes...in Spain there are special places that prepare only tapas
    Raffila Millgrove: yes!
    Mellie McMinnar: Nope
Raffila Millgrove: ah. well dim sum in most large cities chinatown.. served for breafkast. you just ask. if they have it..
Xirana Oximoxi: tipical of Basque Land, but now everywhere
Raffila Millgrove: yes. big over here now.
    Mellie McMinnar: I prefer Burritos
Raffila Millgrove: the small plates idea..
Catrinamonblue Resident: I will look into it thanks Raffila :)
Raffila Millgrove: if you are near Toronto.. i am sure they have there. or even Ontario or Vancouver. all would have it.
    Catrinamonblue Resident: :)
Xirana Oximoxi: I enjoy tapas, but when I go out I prefer a normal restaurant where you can sit ...some places that serve tapas you stand all time
Raffila Millgrove: i did not eat for many years. but they were so good... esp in Madrid. all around a square.. going one place to the next.
Raffila Millgrove: i had octupus. i liked it very tiny in a black ink.
Catrinamonblue Resident: not sure I'm brave enough to try that :)
Raffila Millgrove: oh i was reading most interseting article this morning about.. Spain.. how they overdeveloped. so many empty apartments and houses. i didnt' know this.
Xirana Oximoxi: yes...you change place ..one to another and at night full of people
Raffila Millgrove: yes. they eat dinner really late in spain.. and you can eat tapas. so you don't die of hunger waiting for dinner.
    --BELL--
Xirana Oximoxi: yes....there has been an exces of building during last years... a lot of speculation and 'dirty' business around it... actually all of these is everyday into the news with a lot of politiciens involved
    Xirana Oximoxi: sadly
Raffila Millgrove: the article i read, very long and detailed. i am thinking. whew.. what a mess!
Raffila Millgrove: read one about problems in France. too. even tho I am not happy that things go wrong--somehow is comforting that we are all suffering difficulties.. all of us.
Xirana Oximoxi: yes...at the moment it seems a mess...but it's also good that all corruption is lighted....
    Mellie McMinnar: SOME corruption is
    Xirana Oximoxi: investigated... and punished
Raffila Millgrove: yes. although.. always some new person comes to fill spot of old one.
    Raffila Millgrove: lol
Xirana Oximoxi: yes, difficult to 'make clean'
Raffila Millgrove: China seems to literally run on a system of people getting money for "referring" business. and approving deals. is a bit .. overwhelming how strong that system is.
Mellie McMinnar: this is a shitty planet
Zen Arado: 's current display-name is "Zen".
    Catrinamonblue Resident: Hi Zen :)
    Mellie McMinnar: hey Zen
Raffila Millgrove: in China they don't seem to see this as anything wrong.. seem like it's just "doing business' kinda.. worrisome for globalization.
    Xirana Oximoxi: hello Zen :)
    Zen Arado: Hi all
    Raffila Millgrove: hi Zen.
Mellie McMinnar: finally a man.... now we can stop talking about dresses and makeup ^^
Catrinamonblue Resident: it's a cultural mindset
Zen Arado: don't let me put you off :)
Xirana Oximoxi: yes...it's difficult to tell people that sees a way to improve their lives and get money to stop and think about the planet
Raffila Millgrove: Zen that was a little joke there. you can be assured we were not speaking on dresses or makeup.
    Zen Arado: :)
Xirana Oximoxi: well...men do also like to look smart and to be noticed :)
Zen Arado: I need to learn for my female av
    Catrinamonblue Resident: :)
Raffila Millgrove: altho i admit we did have a little compliment that we are all looking good today.
Mellie McMinnar: oh, you have one? :)
Zen Arado: haven't used her for a long time though
Mellie McMinnar: now that would be a nice topic ^^
Xirana Oximoxi: I know you 'dress' her nicely:)) you gave me one of her shirts ...:)
Zen Arado: she doesn't have much dress sense
    Zen Arado: nah
Raffila Millgrove: well you can struggle with mesh now. in trying to dress her.
    Zen Arado: dresses in freebies
    Catrinamonblue Resident: :)
Raffila Millgrove: that mesh.. it makes me nuts trying to get it on so it looks ok.
Mellie McMinnar: ok, it is on :) Why do you have a female avatar?
Zen Arado: just to see what it is like
Xirana Oximoxi: I don't understand how the mesh thing is working...all what I try looks awful...covers only part of the body...or is too big..
Mellie McMinnar: and what is it like?
Raffila Millgrove: yeah. very frustrating Xiri.
    Zen Arado: not sure
Zen Arado: more fun with clothes for sure
    Xirana Oximoxi: :)
Raffila Millgrove: do you notice people treat you diffferently, Zen?
Zen Arado: and AO's are better
Mellie McMinnar: how long did you play her? at all?
Raffila Millgrove: with my male, i am treated differently..
Zen Arado: nah I tell people I am Zen
Zen Arado: perhaps if I didn't
Raffila Millgrove: ah well then you cannot tell.. how strangers would treat you.
Zen Arado: I feel dishonest then
    Zen Arado: silly I know
Mellie McMinnar: in what way are you treated differently as a woman?
Catrinamonblue Resident: not silly at all
Raffila Millgrove: this is true. this problem.. i never get my male involved with anyone because of that.
Raffila Millgrove: i don't want friends for him.. to deceive them. shaky ground.
Zen Arado: that deception is an issue
    Raffila Millgrove: it is.
Zen Arado: same as I tell people I am disabled
Zen Arado: not always straightaway though
Raffila Millgrove: i finally find places where he is accepted as a guest and no one really tries to interact with him.. which works.
Zen Arado: I don't have to have disability as a banner
Mellie McMinnar: one second.... you are disabled in RL?
    Zen Arado: yes
Zen Arado: I have muscular dystrophy
Mellie McMinnar: and it makes a difference in SL if you tell people?
Raffila Millgrove: i don't think Zen. you have to mention.. if you don't feel like it.. cause we're all free.. here. no disease or disablity here.
    Zen Arado: I think so
Xirana Oximoxi: I've never tried to be a man .... maybe it would be a good experiment to understand them better :)
Zen Arado: it is part of my life anyway
Raffila Millgrove: i think it would make a difference. sometimes. i guess if you become close friends.. maybe you would want to be open on it.
Zen Arado: it comes into conversation eventually
Xirana Oximoxi: I agree Raffi, completly
Zen Arado: I would have to evade some areas of conversation
    Raffila Millgrove: ah.
Zen Arado: reasons why I don't do certain things etc
    Raffila Millgrove nods.
Mellie McMinnar: the male/famale thing is pretty obvious.... men like to hit on women.... easy as that.... but why should you be treated different in SL because you are handycapped in RL?
Zen Arado: so better to be honest
Zen Arado: but I don't have to have a wheelchair in SL
Raffila Millgrove: that part. where people assume you are full bodied. and say thing wher eyou cannot answer right.. so you have to mention it.
Zen Arado: it isn't an identity
    Zen Arado: just a tool
Xirana Oximoxi: neee and here we are all very good dancers:)
    --BELL--
    Zen Arado: yep
Mellie McMinnar: do you want a wheelchair in SL? I have an awesome one. :D
Mellie McMinnar: One sec... have to log in with an alt
Raffila Millgrove: (raffi has many wheelchairs. but they are only for her fun, silly medical play.) I really don't like for disabled person to come here and get in wheelchair and proclaim.. this is me.. cuase. good grief. here in Sl that is Not anyone. we are all healthy and free here. i got into big disgareements over this.
Xirana Oximoxi: how do others see us in SL....it connects a little with the subject of the week
Zen Arado: I have one already
Catrinamonblue Resident: agree with you Raffila :)
Zen Arado: you could pretend to be in a wheelchair in RL andf see if that makes any difference
Zen Arado: to how people treat you
Zen Arado: I mean in SL
Raffila Millgrove: i bribe a guy once that i will kiss and play with him if he promise me to get out of the darn wheelchair. it was so upsetting. that he disable himself. he cannot control what happens real time. but here he could.
    Xirana Oximoxi: :)
Zen Arado: I know people feel a wheelchair is part of their identity
    Zen Arado: up to them
Zen Arado: not how I see it
Raffila Millgrove: gosh zen. that is so discouraging.
    Xirana Oximoxi: yes...each one's choice
    Catrinamonblue Resident: nods
Raffila Millgrove: i can't believe it could be "good" for them. true. their choice, but wow i am goign to still bribe them if i can .. haha
Mellie McMinnar: there you go... you have to stand up and put it on
Zen Arado: well one woman is a double amputee in RL from a car accident
Zen Arado: so has no legs really
Raffila Millgrove: i mean i can see where maybe you are on a sim.. that is promoting some things related to disability and you feel you should be in the chair.. so you are representing from rl.. but mostly.. for social stuf.. i don't see it.
Zen Arado: she has more of an identity case
Xirana Oximoxi: I understand it very well....it's like some people has a fat avatar, or white hair....different ways to connect and interact...all good
Zen Arado: SL is a place you can experiment
Raffila Millgrove has so much experience with how rl treats the disabled that here. i just cannot move off that position that here. is FREE and all are healthy together.
Mellie McMinnar: Zen, did you get the offer?
    Zen Arado: hoverpod?
Mellie McMinnar: yes.... stand up and put it on... like clothing
Raffila Millgrove: i spend over 30 years in endless battles with real life on this stuff.. so. .it's hard here to accept others choosing this as an identity feature.
Mellie McMinnar: it is the most awesome weelchar you can imagine :))
    Zen Arado: ha yes
Zen Arado: I know a guy has one of these
Raffila Millgrove: oh that's super powered one!
    Raffila Millgrove: weeee.
Xirana Oximoxi: hehe...sure your 'bottom may feel warm with this one:)
    Catrinamonblue Resident: :)
Mellie McMinnar: really? :) I made it a long time ago when I was really bored
Mellie McMinnar: you might have to turn your AO off
Raffila Millgrove: you made it Mellie. it's fabulous!
    Raffila Millgrove: you're really a great builder/scripter.
    Mellie McMinnar: thanks Raf :)
Zen Arado: well very similar to this
Xirana Oximoxi: Mellie...do you have a place to see the things you do?
Raffila Millgrove: here's one with steampunk theme.
Mellie McMinnar: I have an inworld store but only for my drugs.... the other things you can find at the marketplace
    Zen Arado: ty Mellie
Zen Arado: wish I had one in RL
    Mellie McMinnar: yw, Zen :)
    Mellie McMinnar: me too :D
Xirana Oximoxi: ahhh great...I will have a look:)
Zen Arado: my electric wheelchair only does 6 mph
Raffila Millgrove: i bet you beats me zen if we race.
    Mellie McMinnar: Xirana: https://marketplace.secondlife.com/stores/64722
Raffila Millgrove: you rocket fuel probably beats my steam
Mellie McMinnar: mine is also labled steampunk ;)
Zen Arado: 's current display-name is "Zen".
Xirana Oximoxi: thank you Mellie :)
Zen Arado: 's current display-name is "Zen".
    Catrinamonblue Resident: awesome mellie
Mellie McMinnar: crossing borders... always a bad idea in SL ^^
Zen Arado: there would be a fuel tank in RL though
Mellie McMinnar: but I have to admit, yours is way more steampunk than mine ^^
Raffila Millgrove: gift from some long ago steampunk sim i lived in.. was fabulous experience.
Mellie McMinnar: it's the green thing at your back
Zen Arado: don't think it would be good in my supermarket :)
Raffila Millgrove: Grace Loudon created the city.. it was so amazing. lasted less than a year. but gosh we had great times.
    Xirana Oximoxi: :)
Raffila Millgrove: it was called Rivet Town.
Raffila Millgrove: i think it was one of best builds of SL.
Raffila Millgrove: gosh i loved living there. i rented an apt.. so i could be in it.. roleplayers. were super.
    Raffila Millgrove: very great rp.
Zen Arado: they never built small jet engines really
Raffila Millgrove: we even had a newpaper . and crimes to solve. and at Xmas a fabulous Dickens play..
Raffila Millgrove: balls. our tavern. wow it was wonderful experience here.
    Zen Arado: I love Victoriana
    --BELL--
Raffila Millgrove: you had to be in Victorian costume to come into the sim.. and if we went our of our apts.. we had to stick to that too
Mellie McMinnar: btw Raf, you can edit the chair and make it bigger so that it fits your avatar
Xirana Oximoxi: we can make a race now :))
    Catrinamonblue Resident: lol :)

    Snapshot_096_2.jpg

Zen Arado: I did an arts course on the Victorians once..their literature, religion, philosophy, music, art
Catrinamonblue Resident: sounds interesting Zen :)
Zen Arado: there was a summer school and last night we had an old time music hall
Mellie McMinnar: AO off, Raf :)
Xirana Oximoxi: hehe yes..if not I see you walking :)
    Zen Arado: pre Raphaelite art
    Zen Arado: very moralistic
    Xirana Oximoxi: wonderful Zen!
    Zen Arado: the great exhibition
Zen Arado: in the Crystal Palace
    Zen Arado: 1851
    Xirana Oximoxi: in London?
Zen Arado: organised by Prince Albert
    Zen Arado: yes
Xirana Oximoxi: that sound a big event
Zen Arado: first to admit the working class
Mellie McMinnar: Zen, I am not sure if I've put a flight accelerator in that chair.... If I did, you should be able to flight higher and faster than normal.... if I didn't, I should ^^
Zen Arado: days when the British Empire was at its zenith
Zen Arado: heh I don't fly around much anyway
    Mellie McMinnar: ^^
Zen Arado: a very class structured society
Mellie McMinnar: gosh, this place is really laggy
Zen Arado: you stayed in the class you were born into
Zen Arado: and women were kept down
    Mellie McMinnar: like gor?
Zen Arado: women's place is in the home...so John Ruskin wrote
Xirana Oximoxi: maybe actually is not so different...I think aristocracy in England is still very strong
Zen Arado: yes but it is weaker nowadays
Xirana Oximoxi: ah yes... women did not get the right to vote until XX
Mellie McMinnar: I think that's a good thing..... that it is weaker, I mean
Zen Arado: he said that women are weaker and more emotional and have smaller brains than men
Zen Arado: best fitted for looking after children
Mellie McMinnar: Hey Xirana, thanks for the purchase ^^
Zen Arado: whereas men are better suited for public life
    Xirana Oximoxi: you're welcome :)
Catrinamonblue Resident: mm glad that some of those perceptions have changed a bit over the years :)
Xirana Oximoxi: I guess nowadays these ideas are still very strong in a lot of places and minds
Zen Arado: they haven't entirely disappeared though
    Zen Arado: yeh
Catrinamonblue Resident: no but they have changed a bit at least
    Zen Arado: thankfully
    Catrinamonblue Resident: nods
Zen Arado: women themselves resisted changes
Raffila Millgrove: hehe. all i can think of is how hungry i am after all taht talking i did on dim sum.. and still ahve hour and half until we leave for it.
Zen Arado: it was the suffrajettes who got things changed
    Catrinamonblue Resident: smiles at Raffila
Zen Arado: women weren't even allowed to vote before that
Mellie McMinnar: but did it change something?
    Zen Arado: I think so
Raffila Millgrove: well i would say that women getting the vote.. really.. changed a LOT of things.
Zen Arado: they got the vote anyway
Mellie McMinnar: I think it just doubled the votes with the same outcome
Zen Arado: but still few women in Parliement
Raffila Millgrove: by having vote we also have right to run for office as well and one day .. we will get a female president in our country.
Mellie McMinnar: women are as blind as men if it comes to politics
Raffila Millgrove: that at least will.. be a Big day. it's my dream to live to see it.
    Zen Arado: Hilary
    Zen Arado: :)
Zen Arado: maybe women are more sensible, less warmongering
Mellie McMinnar: NO... NOT HILARY!.... but a female would be great :)
Raffila Millgrove: if women worldwide had full rights and were equal in governments etc.. we don't know what the world would look like we've never seen anything remotely close to that.
Xirana Oximoxi: there are all kind of women..of course
Zen Arado: heh I read an article saying that the first black president wasn't Obama
Raffila Millgrove: oh who was it?
Zen Arado: it was Bill Clinton :)
    Raffila Millgrove: ah ok.
Zen Arado: he had all the characteristics of a black man even though he was white ;)
    Zen Arado: a cool guy
    Catrinamonblue Resident: :)
Raffila Millgrove: well if we weren't so bizarre over here.. the one drop of African blood makes you a "black" person.. i 'd like to see the end of all this identity by race.. that's so ridiculous.
Zen Arado: a poor boy from Arkansas
Mellie McMinnar: ok, who would you guys vote for? democrats or republicans?
    --BELL--
    Mellie McMinnar: democrats here
Raffila Millgrove knows a lot of young people who refuse to .. write any race down when they are doing surveys etc.. they hate to be identified in that way.
Xirana Oximoxi: do people still have to write about their race, Raffi?
Zen Arado: I would vote Democrat
Xirana Oximoxi: ahh....you mean in a survey
Raffila Millgrove: oh in all these survey we take. they ask that question.. about race. yes.
Zen Arado: same in N.Ireland..they want to know your religion
Raffila Millgrove: lot of younger people dont' like race as a category ..
Xirana Oximoxi: it's not a category
Raffila Millgrove: oh we never find religion anymore .. we always get the income and education questions tho.
Raffila Millgrove: they made a coffee machine now.. somehwer ein europe.
Zen Arado: religion is more important in N.Ireland
Raffila Millgrove: that is going to facially recnogize you.. by gender and age.. and will offer you.. by your demographic.. different types of drink.
Raffila Millgrove: that makes me sooo upset.
Zen Arado: it's a religiously divided society
Raffila Millgrove: that a machine is going to decide based on old female.. what things to offer me first to drink.
    Zen Arado: amazing Raffi
Raffila Millgrove: this machine is already in operation. it's frightening.
Mellie McMinnar: the question is.... why are there inly these two choices? democrats or republicans?.... there are a lot of parties, but it always comes downs to these two..... and it makes no difference that women can vote too these days
    Xirana Oximoxi: it's reaaly frightening..
Raffila Millgrove: it is. i don't see this as progress i see it as narrowing me.. boxing me up. wow it makes me see red.
Xirana Oximoxi: it's like google reading all emails and information about users...and then offering publicity
    Raffila Millgrove: yeah.
Zen Arado: well in Britain there are 3 main parties and that has resulted in a coalition govt
    Xirana Oximoxi: 'reading' ...=checking
Mellie McMinnar: CGPGray made a very nice video about that.... don't watch it now, but bookmark it... it is really good... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=s7tWHJfhiyo
Raffila Millgrove: boy that is a big bummer. for sure. i won't use gmail.. but all my friends do.. so i am thinkg thyat they got all my email anyway.
    Xirana Oximoxi: controlling
Zen Arado: Big Brother but not the way we thought it would happen?
Raffila Millgrove: they have so many parties in Belgium.. that they can hardly get a govt organized. sometimes they sit for a year without one.
Zen Arado: they have so many cameras here
    Zen Arado: watching you
Mellie McMinnar: and did it help?
Xirana Oximoxi: it's for our security...they say
Raffila Millgrove: well i think we did good for never really mentioning the theme for the week, but talking a lot about "others"
Xirana Oximoxi: we become more and more controled
Raffila Millgrove: i am sorry to run off now. Take care all.
    Zen Arado: byee Raffi
Catrinamonblue Resident: bye Raffial have a great breakfast :)
Raffila Millgrove waves bye as she wheels out.
Raffila Millgrove: in her steampunk chair.
Xirana Oximoxi: bye bye Raffi...enjoy the meal:)
    Zen Arado: :)
Xirana Oximoxi: I will also go now...I whish you all a nice day:)
Mellie McMinnar: saying that, Raf..... what is topic of the week?
    Catrinamonblue Resident: Bye Xiri
Xirana Oximoxi: it was 'others' .))
    Mellie McMinnar: bye Xir
    Catrinamonblue Resident: :)
    Xirana Oximoxi: bye bye :)
Zen Arado: kk I better go too
    Catrinamonblue Resident: Bye Zen :)
    Zen Arado: byee
Mellie McMinnar: ok... and I guess you two have to go now as well?
    Mellie McMinnar: aaaand only one
    Catrinamonblue Resident: lol :)
Mellie McMinnar: now go.... shhhhh :)
    Catrinamonblue Resident: ^.^
Mellie McMinnar: hey, I can keep talking for hours :)
Catrinamonblue Resident: I can listen for hours :)
Mellie McMinnar: you are not american than ^^
    Catrinamonblue Resident: no
Mellie McMinnar: where are you from then?
    Catrinamonblue Resident: Canada
Mellie McMinnar: lol, that's still american ;)
Catrinamonblue Resident: oh no we are much better than our silly southern neighbors :)
Mellie McMinnar: you mean the US.... I mean america ;)
    Catrinamonblue Resident: sure then :)
Mellie McMinnar: do you have some time left?
    Catrinamonblue Resident: lots
Mellie McMinnar: I have a gift for you then
    Catrinamonblue Resident: k
Mellie McMinnar: "k" is a bad response
    Catrinamonblue Resident: ?
Mellie McMinnar: Do you have a boyfriend?
    Catrinamonblue Resident: why?
Mellie McMinnar: because I want you to imagine something
    Catrinamonblue Resident: imagine what ?
    --BELL--
Mellie McMinnar: that you bought a gift for your boyfriend., and you say "Hey, I have a gift for you ;)" ... and he says "k"
    Catrinamonblue Resident: and?
Mellie McMinnar: so that would be ok for you?
    Catrinamonblue Resident: depends
    Mellie McMinnar: .... on what?
Catrinamonblue Resident: oh the time of the month ;)
    Mellie McMinnar: nah....
    Catrinamonblue Resident: lol :)
Catrinamonblue Resident: would you have been happier if I had said Thank You so much for your gift Mellie
Catrinamonblue Resident: does a persons happiness depend on another?
Mellie McMinnar: why would I? I didn't give it to you yet.... that would be almost as strange as "k"
Mellie McMinnar: "oh! what is it?" would be a human answer
    Catrinamonblue Resident: mmm really?
Catrinamonblue Resident: does that mean I am not human?
Mellie McMinnar: yes, that is a normal human response
    Catrinamonblue Resident: what is normal?
Mellie McMinnar: not a very human one
    Mellie McMinnar: the average
Catrinamonblue Resident: who wants to be average?
Mellie McMinnar: most people.... that's what it makes ut average
    Catrinamonblue Resident: really?
    Mellie McMinnar: define average
Catrinamonblue Resident: I have not coma across anyone who wanted to be average
    Catrinamonblue Resident: come*
Mellie McMinnar: still.... define average.... my definition is "what most people are doing/thinking"
Catrinamonblue Resident: middle of the road :)
Catrinamonblue Resident: but most is not all
Mellie McMinnar: some are swimming with the stream... some are swimming against it..... but they are all following the river
Catrinamonblue Resident: ah but some get out and walk the bank
Catrinamonblue Resident: sometimes away from the river
Mellie McMinnar: not for 99.99999% of all people
Catrinamonblue Resident: how do you know?
Catrinamonblue Resident: do you walk their lives?
Mellie McMinnar: I am an expert.... I have talked to people
    Catrinamonblue Resident: really? an expert?
    Catrinamonblue Resident: in what way?
Mellie McMinnar: in that way that I have talked to people
    Catrinamonblue Resident: how many people?
Catrinamonblue Resident: the whole population o fhte earth?
    Catrinamonblue Resident: of the*
Mellie McMinnar: that's not how statistics work..... you can never ask ALL people in the world.... just a significant portion
Catrinamonblue Resident: so you have talked to a significant portion? how many is that?
    --BELL--
Mellie McMinnar: all in all?... maybe 2000
    Catrinamonblue Resident: not many really
Mellie McMinnar: more than some statistics have
    Catrinamonblue Resident: maybe
    Catrinamonblue Resident: maybe not
Catrinamonblue Resident: statistics don't make an expert though
Catrinamonblue Resident: they are just statistics and can be used in many ways
Mellie McMinnar: but you can do it on your own..... ask some people how they would react if they tole their boyfriend/girlfriend that they had a gift for them, and they would just say "k"
Catrinamonblue Resident: why would I want to?
Mellie McMinnar: you wouldn't... of course
Catrinamonblue Resident: everyone is individual and has their own way what does it matter to me?
Catrinamonblue Resident: if they say k or thank you or oh! what is it?
Mellie McMinnar: what matters for the most should matter for everyone.... it's called civilization
    Catrinamonblue Resident: what matters?
    Mellie McMinnar: you answer that
    Catrinamonblue Resident: mmmm
Catrinamonblue Resident: thinks that what matters is really up to the individual to decide
Mellie McMinnar: don't you think that there is something that shout matter for everyone?
Catrinamonblue Resident: what matters to you may not matter to me
Catrinamonblue Resident: maybe maybe not who is to know?
Mellie McMinnar: that is the answer of a coward
    Catrinamonblue Resident: really?
    Catrinamonblue Resident: in what way?
    Mellie McMinnar: in every way
    Catrinamonblue Resident: explain please?
Mellie McMinnar: why should I elaborate? you refused to..... I said it, so this is my opinion
Catrinamonblue Resident: refused to elaborate on what?
Catrinamonblue Resident: how am I to know what matters to you? How are you to know what matters to the guy next door? Who is to know what matters ?
Mellie McMinnar: to say it in your terms...... maybe, maybe not..... whatever
    Catrinamonblue Resident: :)
Catrinamonblue Resident: it does not matter
    Mellie McMinnar: what does?
Catrinamonblue Resident: as you say :)
    --BELL--
    Mellie McMinnar: explain
Catrinamonblue Resident: [08:43] Mellie (mellie.mcminnar): to say it in your terms...... maybe, maybe not..... whatever
Mellie McMinnar: when I quoted you.... and now you make it to "what you said"?
Catrinamonblue Resident: as I said it really doesn't matter
Catrinamonblue Resident: I should really be moving on now I guess :) nearly lunch time here :)
Mellie McMinnar: If you think that your opinion doesn't matter, why do you even discuss it?
Catrinamonblue Resident: have a good day Mellei
Catrinamonblue Resident: I thought we were discussing your opinion?
Mellie McMinnar: sure.... I totally didn't see that coming.... have a nice time :)
    Catrinamonblue Resident: lol :)
