    Archmage Atlantis: Hello Eos
    Pema Pera: hi Arch!
    Archmage Atlantis: Greetings Pema
    Pema Pera: How are you?
    Archmage Atlantis: Subdued
    Archmage Atlantis: And you?
    Pema Pera: quiet :)
    Archmage Atlantis: nice
    Pema Pera: hi Multi
    Archmage Atlantis: Welcome Mverse
Archmage Atlantis: Ah Eos, you return

    EosAmaterasu-4_2012-01-03_1900.jpg

    Eos Amaterasu: I keep crashing
    Pema Pera: oh, hi, Eos!
Multiverse1 Resident: Hi pema, arch and eos

    Pema-5_2012-01-03_1900.jpg

Pema Pera: I just responded to your email
Eos Amaterasu: oh good, I'm not sure how long my being here will last :-)
Pema Pera: we'll appreciate your presence, Eos, as long as possible :)
Archmage Atlantis: You are here, even if your avatar cannot be, Eos
    Eos Amaterasu: :-)
    Pema Pera: Hi Tess!
Multiverse1 Resident: hello presence of tess
Pema Pera: I was about to claim te log, but I guess you will do that now, Eos?
    Eos Amaterasu: okay
Tess Aristocrat: Hello good people :)

    TessAristocrat+ArchmageArmitage_2012-01-03_006.jpg

Archmage Atlantis: It is Riddle's to claim
Archmage Atlantis: According to the schedule that is posted
    Multiverse1 Resident: hi ewan
    Pema Pera: hi Ewan!
    Eos Amaterasu: Hi Tess, Ewan
Archmage Atlantis: I sound so ridgid
    Ewan Bonham: Hi folks!

    EwanBonham_2012-01-03_001.jpg

    Tess Aristocrat: Hello :)
Archmage Atlantis: words, text....they do not convey heart an hopes
Eos Amaterasu: little bits of heart and hopes do peek through your words, Arch
Tess Aristocrat: They are our tools
    Tess Aristocrat: yes
    Pema Pera: :)
Ewan Bonham: We can feel intenions even without words...:)
Eos Amaterasu: starting with our own?
Archmage Atlantis: I wonder, can feelings pass thru a computer interface?
Tess Aristocrat: We must have something to go on, in order to understand another person's intent- communication
Eos Amaterasu: we move our face muscles in smiles
Pema Pera: all communication is resonation in some form
Eos Amaterasu: how about we resonate with the upcoming 90 seconds pause?
Multiverse1 Resident: the words play as intentions, like music

    --BELL--

Eos Amaterasu says to the universe (multiverse), you can ring my bell
Multiverse1 Resident: yes, the words of the bell
    Archmage Atlantis: ding
    Multiverse1 Resident: thank you bell
    Archmage Atlantis: :)
Multiverse1 Resident: I would prefer quantum entanglement to communication through a machine though
Archmage Atlantis: somewhere over the rainbow, way up high.....dreams we dream of
    Multiverse1 Resident: hi San
Tess Aristocrat: Using text exclusively can sometimes leave us confused when trying to communicate because it lacks the inflection we use when conversing face to face. Hence, emoticons! :D
    Pema Pera: Hi Santo!
Eos Amaterasu: sounds like a Facebook status, Multi :-)
    Santoshima Resident: hello everyone
    Eos Amaterasu: Hi San
    Tess Aristocrat: Santoshima! :)

    Santoshima-3_2012-01-03_1900.jpg

Pema Pera: yes, emoticons help, but poetry works too, without emoticons :-)
    Multiverse1 Resident: Hence utilizing emoticons
Eos Amaterasu: sentences and poems as flight patterns of words
Pema Pera: texting can have the same pithy force as poetry, in principle. . .
Multiverse1 Resident: Multi smells the poems
Eos Amaterasu: words and spoken, verbal language as an amazing way to project out and share inner/outer states

    EosAmaterasu-7_2012-01-03_1900.jpg

    Tess Aristocrat: yes..agree
    Eos Amaterasu thanks biology
    Multiverse1 Resident: quicker too
    Multiverse1 Resident: plus body language
Multiverse1 Resident: the eyes are key in presence

    Multiverse-5_2012-01-03_1900.jpg

    Multiverse-1_2012-01-03_1900.jpg
    Multiverse-2_2012-01-03_1900.jpg

    Multiverse-3_2012-01-03_1900.jpg

Archmage Atlantis: The time has come, as we have said, to talk of many things
Eos Amaterasu: part of the meaning of smile seems to be the tacit arrangement of face into smile
    Eos Amaterasu: playing as smile
Tess Aristocrat: We use our microexpressions when speaking without even really thinking about it
Pema Pera: yes, lots and lots of them
Archmage Atlantis: O f emoticons, and poems...an d why the world is boiling
    Tess Aristocrat: nods
Pema Pera: so texting in contrast is a very quiet and peaceful minimalist endeavor
Multiverse1 Resident: at what temperature does the world boil?
Pema Pera: more so even than living in a monastery where monks don't speak but only communicate on paper
Pema Pera: since they still have body language
    Archmage Atlantis: In Kelvin, Mverse?
Pema Pera: here each sentence is like a message in a bottle :-)
Archmage Atlantis: About somewhere we haven't yet defined.
Eos Amaterasu throws out a sentence, experimentally

    EosAmaterasu-5_2012-01-03_1900.jpg

Multiverse1 Resident: sure, animals communicate without voice. Though many use sound
    Archmage Atlantis: Catches the sentence
Multiverse1 Resident: it has 25 words
    Archmage Atlantis: Holds it
    Archmage Atlantis: for use later
Archmage Atlantis: A definition, perhaps, is a message in a bottle
Tess Aristocrat: Imagines the sentence being thrown out in a white cartoon caption bubble....
Multiverse1 Resident: I want the bottle, "the Messenger "
    Multiverse1 Resident: it is blue
Archmage Atlantis: Life is blue....actually aqua.....but most guys only get to blue
Tess Aristocrat: *keeps thinking of the verse to Sting's song, 'message in a bottle...'
    Multiverse1 Resident: prefer this
    Multiverse1 Resident: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bFkPOWdxLn8&feature=player_embedded#!
Multiverse1 Resident: walking on the moon

    --BELL--

Archmage Atlantis: Hello Canada....grin......Sting in the Far Northern region.......I don't remember him coming her to the subtopics, so ok
    Pema Pera: hi Paradise!
Multiverse1 Resident: Hi presence of Paradise!
    Santoshima Resident: :)
    Eos Amaterasu: Hi Paradise
Archmage Atlantis: Blessings and Namste,, Paradise

    ParadiseTennant-2_2012-01-03_1900.jpg

Eos Amaterasu: Tess said something about our sing "microexpressions without thinking"
    Eos Amaterasu: *using
    Eos Amaterasu: :-)
Paradise Tennant: smiles and waves all round hiya pema eos multi arch ewan san tess ..happy happy new year :)
Archmage Atlantis: Welcome to the great clash
Tess Aristocrat: *sings Para -Para -Paradise~ :)
    Pema Pera: :)
    Multiverse1 Resident: i heard that!
    Paradise Tennant: smiles
    Multiverse1 Resident: hehe
Pema Pera: yes, microexpressions is a nice term
    Tess Aristocrat: :)
Eos Amaterasu: Made me think of spontaneous poetry, Tess
Pema Pera: we probably are not aware of most of them
Multiverse1 Resident: hence forth the wind

    Santoshima_2012-01-03_1900.jpg

Pema Pera: yoga and tai chi can be seen as macro expressions
Eos Amaterasu: I guess that could be one way to self knowledge, self transparency, to be more aware of and learn from those microexpressoins
Eos Amaterasu: tai chi feels like somewhat slowed down expressions, or let be expressions
Pema Pera: yes, I find it always revealing to listen to my own voice, in the middle of a busy conversation
    Tess Aristocrat: hehehe..
Pema Pera: when I remember; quickly then I realize how i can use less energy, and be more effective
Tess Aristocrat: I always find it awkward to hear my own recorded voice
Eos Amaterasu: what do you experience then, Tess?
Multiverse1 Resident: same here, somehow foreign
Tess Aristocrat: I just feel that I sound strange..not at all the way I thought
Pema Pera: ah, but it does sound different, since you hear yourself through the bones of your head, not as others hear you.

    Pema-4_2012-01-03_1900.jpg

Tess Aristocrat: Yes! I guess you're right..
Archmage Atlantis: Very good comment, P:ema
    Multiverse1 Resident: Muti hears voices
Archmage Atlantis: the bones of us
    Multiverse1 Resident: from bone people
Pema Pera: similarly to everything we do -- when we pause for 9 seconds, say, we can notice many of our automatic mini habits
Eos Amaterasu: pause and listen to what beats keep playing
    Multiverse1 Resident: lack of vibrations
Eos Amaterasu: the 9 or 90 seconds can be like little mirrors
Eos Amaterasu: (we see ourselves mirror imaged, which is not how others see us :-)
    Multiverse1 Resident: a reflecting pool
Pema Pera: the most interesting way of using a 9 second break is not to stop what you are doing but to continue, while watching what you are doing
Pema Pera: stepping back in awareness, so to speak
    Tess Aristocrat: nods
Pema Pera: witnessing yourself continuing to act
Pema Pera: I find that always very revealing, but not always easy to do

    Pema-1_2012-01-02_1900.jpg

    Pema-2_2012-01-03_1900.jpg

    Pema-3_2012-01-03_1900.jpg

Eos Amaterasu: in busy moments it's the only thing you can do anyway
Pema Pera: yes, freezing is not always an option :)
Pema Pera: have you played with such moves, Tess, this kind of stepping back?
    Tess Aristocrat: yes

    --BELL--

    TessAristocrat-1_2012-01-03_1900.jpg

Tess Aristocrat: Also, as with thought process, thinking in a certain path, being aware of the habits and paths of thought.
    Pema Pera: yes indeed!
    Ewan Bonham: Just full awareness..
Pema Pera: have you found ways to play with that more systematically, Tess, or does it just happen at random?
Archmage Atlantis: Sometime, methinks, to do is not the way
Archmage Atlantis: Pema Pera: I find that always very revealing, but not always easy to do
Archmage Atlantis: There are many ways
Tess Aristocrat: I try to use that with problem solving
    Multiverse1 Resident: focus
Pema Pera: can you give an example?
Archmage Atlantis: Awareness, perhaps, comes after discovery
Tess Aristocrat: For example, if someone is angry
    Multiverse1 Resident: the mirrors image
Tess Aristocrat: I can 1. absorb that..
Tess Aristocrat: 2. listen to it and not absorb it
Archmage Atlantis: Perhaps, Tess, it might work to react, rather than absord
Multiverse1 Resident: reflect the image back?
Tess Aristocrat: 3. react or not react. :)

    TessAristocrat-2_2012-01-03_1900.jpg

Archmage Atlantis: I my mind there is no 1 rul
    Archmage Atlantis: *ryle
    Archmage Atlantis: ^rule
Tess Aristocrat: I'm just showing you different paths
    Multiverse1 Resident: no rules then
Pema Pera: interesting, yes, and recognizable
Tess Aristocrat: Paths that may have been there before
Archmage Atlantis: Yes, there are many mansions, if it were not so, I would not have told you
    Archmage Atlantis: Many paths
    Archmage Atlantis: Sorry
Pema Pera: with "absorb" do you mean feeling the energy yourself?
Multiverse1 Resident: situations are not always the same
Archmage Atlantis: Having an egomanical moment
    Tess Aristocrat: yes and no..
Paradise Tennant: The Brain—is wider than the Sky— For—put them side by side— The one the other will contain With ease—and You—beside— The Brain is deeper than the sea— For—hold them—Blue to Blue— The one the other will absorb— As Sponges—Buckets—do— The Brain is just the weight of God— For—Heft them—Pound for Pound— And they will differ—if they do— As Syllable from Sound—
Tess Aristocrat: to absorb in one way would be to become upset and perhaps to start shaking
Paradise Tennant: smiles is making me think of a poem by emily dickinson .. how many the options we have in thinking

    ParadiseTennant-1_2012-01-03_1900.jpg

    Pema Pera: :)
Ewan Bonham: Tes,, and for our thoughts to stiffle and get confused..
    Tess Aristocrat: nods :)
Pema Pera: and what about the other way, Tess?
Tess Aristocrat: but, once you are aware of that path..
Tess Aristocrat: you can simply choose another
    Pema Pera: and still "absorb"?

    EwanBonham-3+Tess+Arch+San_2012-01-03_001.jpg

Eos Amaterasu: your #1 use of that word stuck me as absorb as giving it lots of space, so there's nothing to strike against
Eos Amaterasu: *struck me ( :-)
Tess Aristocrat: The other way would be to simply absorb as to listen
    Pema Pera ponders Eos's interpretation
Archmage Atlantis: I cannot chose another path if I have committed to others

    ArchmageAtlantis-2_2012-01-03_1900.jpg

    ArchmageAtlantis-4_2012-01-03_1900.jpg

    ArchmageAtlantis-5_2012-01-03_1900.jpg

    Multiverse1 Resident: but we adapt
    Paradise Tennant: yes!
    Tess Aristocrat: yes :)
Eos Amaterasu: but as Tess said, once you notice yourself on a path you can "simply choose another"
Pema Pera: Ah, and "2. listen to it and not absorb it" is then listening but not paying full attention?
Eos Amaterasu: just recognizing things seems powerful
    Pema Pera nods
Eos Amaterasu: or (re #2), not letting it hit you?
Tess Aristocrat: once you become aware, you've already put yourself on the new pathway of thought
Eos Amaterasu: yes, if even for a microsecond
Eos Amaterasu: there might be slight humour there, realizing you were holding on tightly
    Pema Pera: :-)
    Tess Aristocrat: Anger is?
    Eos Amaterasu: ?
    Multiverse1 Resident: anti-love
Ewan Bonham: Yes, the very label becomes an attachment to a narrow interpretation
    Tess Aristocrat: anger is hurt
    Ewan Bonham: of the emotion..

Multiverse1 Resident: it hurts me to be angry, at tymes, even though I am not angry at myself
Multiverse1 Resident: angry at being angry
Pema Pera: I have to get going. Good seeing you all here again, and thanks for your thoughtful example, Tess!
