I had had an interesting experience during my sleep. My dreams felt much more vivid and my awareness was very high.

Lia Rikugun: i was very present in my dreaming

Lia Rikugun: maybe it is also due to jetleg which i still have
Lia Rikugun: it was just interesting to feel that
Lia Rikugun: one problem:
Lia Rikugun: i wake up in the morning and am completely tired
SophiaSharon Larnia: sleep disturbances do cause me to remember my dreams more, sometimes, but not more awre in them :)
Lia Rikugun: maybe my awareness needs some sleep to?
Lia Rikugun: yes yes sophia this is the same for me too
Lia Rikugun: if i wake up during the night i remember my dreams better
Lia Rikugun: but now i felt myself very strong inside
Lia Rikugun: and feelings where very present

arabella Ella: on a weekend ... when you have more time ... try to bring on a lucid dream and sleep again

Bertram Jacobus: hm. don't think so. most important fact was, i guess, that i was a very young child, may be around 10 years, not so filled with whatever.

scary lucid dreams and the "silver band" - the link between body and mind

Aztlan Foss: well I read somewhere large amounts of kava or valarian and some other thing helped so I tried it, also there's focusing on having the dream and writing down what you went through as soon as you wake up
Aztlan Foss: basicly if you put your mind to it you'll get at least some results.
Aztlan Foss: usually people just go to sleep and wake up but if you have an intent when you go to sleep you'll have way cooler dreams
Bolonath Crystal: i tried it, too. but i have to admit that i am a bad dreamer

Mickorod Renard: I got quite proficient at dream control once
Bolonath Crystal: somebody who doesn't succeed in lucid dreaming, lia :)
Aztlan Foss: I think I went like 3 months and I ended up with about 4 pretty cool lucid dreams that were quite enjoyable

Aztlan Foss: what helped me is remembering what it was like to be a kid having lucid dreams, it's like a model fo rwhat you want to accomplish

arabella Ella: I was there first time for work for a few days and second time for a conference
arabella Ella: so had very little free time

Bolonath Crystal: works perfectly, but there is a lot of work to do first, becauase most of the sounds are not identified yet

Bolonath Crystal: yes, mainly cicadas, grasshoppers and frogs
arabella Ella: i never heard grasshoppers
arabella Ella: have heard cicadas and frogs
Mickorod Renard: gosh,,those sounds used to send me crazy
Bolonath Crystal: a good part of the job was to walk around in the forest during the night and recording animals
arabella Ella: then may i ask you something please?
arabella Ella: i was once in Thailand and could not sleep at night due to a sound
arabella Ella: it sounded like a laughing hyena
arabella Ella: and my Thai friends told me it could be frogs but i doubt it
arabella Ella: six laughs each tine

arabella Ella: this was in Assam on the banks of the Meikong river
Bolonath Crystal: the frogs of thailand are quite different to the bornean ones, and i never have been to thailand. i don't know this sound, but i would not be very surprised if it is really a frog
arabella Ella: me too it is still a mystery to me which i would like to resolve one day

Bolonath Crystal: the most funny sounds i heard from cicadas
arabella Ella: the germans who visit Malta always think cicadas are electricity sounds
Bolonath Crystal: but frogs can be very exciting, too

Bolonath Crystal: well, some sound like little bells, some like crickets
Bolonath Crystal: some bark
Bolonath Crystal: some buzz

arabella Ella: but did you ever come across laughing frogs ... laughing six times?
Bolonath Crystal: some are so noisy that you can hear them for several kilomaters
Bolonath Crystal: no, never heard a laughing frog
arabella Ella: ok ty
Bolonath Crystal: but i would believe it, if somebody tells me that there are laughing frogs
arabella Ella: so that eliminates the frog hypothesis
arabella Ella: ah
Bolonath Crystal: maybe they laugh in thailand :)
