The Guardian for this meeting was Eos Amaterasu. The comments are by Eos Amaterasu.

Eos Amaterasu notices the state vector collapsing and out of it emerges Eliza

    --BELL--

    Eliza Madrigal: (((Eden))))
Eos Amaterasu: You have both emerged - hi Eden!
    Eden Haiku: (((Eos))))
    Eliza Madrigal is still rezzing
Eos Amaterasu wonders if being is rezzing
Pila Mulligan: hi Eliza, Eden and Eos
    Eos Amaterasu: Pila!
Eliza Madrigal: Wonderful to see you all :) Hi Pila
    Eden Haiku: HI PIla!
    Pila Mulligan: The Three E's
Eliza Madrigal: Being is rezzing, and we're emerging from that?
    Eden Haiku: ;-)
    Eos Amaterasu: Playing as Rezzing
Pila Mulligan: Eden, your poetry was a joy to hear
    Pila Mulligan: as was Ulrich's
Eliza Madrigal: Absolutely! What a gift
Eliza Madrigal: it sparkled and danced like Eden's pink dress tonight
    Eden Haiku: blushes
    Pila Mulligan: :)
Eos Amaterasu: (wow) (sorry I missed it)
Eden Haiku: I meant to send you an invitation Eos than I forgot. You are not on my friends list...Maybe you would accpet my friendship?
Pila Mulligan: voice adds a nice dimension, Eos, and both Eden and Ulrich have lovely voices
    Eliza Madrigal nods
    Eos Amaterasu: sound :-)
    Pila Mulligan: :)
    Eden Haiku: (((Eos))) Thanks!
Pila Mulligan: how far is Nova Scotia from Quebec?
Eliza Madrigal: Eos, you should know that these theme sessions have really spilled into quite a few sessions...
    Eden Haiku: Far far Pila...
    Pila Mulligan: oh, thanks
Eos Amaterasu: if you're determined, you can drive in one day from Montreal to Halifax.... but I'd rather not
Eliza Madrigal: a 12 hr drive, or an 8 hr drive?
Eos Amaterasu: Can you say a bit more, Eliza? I also recall your tweet about that....
Eden Haiku: You need to be determined. Must be some 1000 kilometers?
Eos Amaterasu: "Decisiveness!! This simple teaching is sinking in deeply... decisiveness, equanimity, resting in awareness...Ground of Being"
Eliza Madrigal: Well, I've quite a bit to say about it actually.... :)
    Eden Haiku: listening
Eliza Madrigal: over the last few weeks, and especially as I've noticed the feel/taste of this idea in other places...
Eliza Madrigal: hm..like having a picture and holding it up here and there to compare....
Eliza Madrigal: it is really clear to me now that there it isn't 'backwards' or 'forwards'...
Eliza Madrigal: as far as the way you work with the sentence(s)
Eliza Madrigal: no linear or set order... So...
Eliza Madrigal: there is no 1st, 2nd, 3rd in terms of 'importance' or potency...
    Pila Mulligan: hi Cal
Eliza Madrigal: Very much like the Time Space Knowledge book actually....
    Eliza Madrigal: (Hi Cal)
    Eden Haiku: Hi Cal
    Eos Amaterasu: ~~
    Calvino Rabeni: Hello everyone!
Eliza Madrigal: you can see (and be nourished by) them all, through each one, each aspect... :))
Eliza Madrigal: So I've a question right off the bat :)
Eliza Madrigal: The image of mountain as "Be decisive" is gorgeous... rooted, strong...
Eliza Madrigal: Are there other images for "Know what is? "See clearly", too? Or...
    Eden Haiku: Good question Eliza!
Eliza Madrigal: Well, maybe that's end question. Each sentence of the long sentence seems a picture to enter.
Eos Amaterasu: I was looking at a more literal translation of the phrases....
    Eliza Madrigal: Thanks, Eden :))
Eos Amaterasu: "Be decisive, know what is, see nakedly"
    Eden Haiku: Nakedly?
Eos Amaterasu: I like that quality of see nakedly - there's nothing between you and what you're seeing
    Eden Haiku: Ah yes...
Eos Amaterasu: You have to have utmost confidence to be so naked
Eos Amaterasu: utmost meaning it's not dependent on anything
Eos Amaterasu: and so you can allow people to see you
    Eos Amaterasu: (commentary on "nakedly")
    Eliza Madrigal: Thank you!
Eliza Madrigal: yes... there is a phrase pema used once I've never forgotten 'raw givenness'....
Eos Amaterasu: But also the decisive quality can be experienced as pure space
    Eos Amaterasu: totally intangible
Eos Amaterasu: so it can't be touched or affected
    Eos Amaterasu: indestructible
Eliza Madrigal: which brings to mind tracelessness perhaps....

    --BELL--

    Eos Amaterasu: tracelessness...
    Eos Amaterasu: tracelessness abides /
    Eos Amaterasu: (next line, plz)
Eden Haiku: looking up for a line
    Eliza Madrigal: :)
Eos Amaterasu: can you say more about tracelessness?
    Eden Haiku: Being erased footprints/
    Pila Mulligan: shadow of fog
    Eden Haiku: Being erasing footprints/
Eos Amaterasu: tracelessness abides / Being erasing footprints /
Eden Haiku: In shadow of fog @Pila :-)
    Pila Mulligan: :)
Eos Amaterasu: Tracelessness abides / Being erasing footprints / in shadow of fog
Eden Haiku: (count of 5 syllables...;-)
Eliza Madrigal: Well, if activity is arising from space... space has no 'after effects'..does it it would seem...
Eos Amaterasu imagines foggy San Francisco
    Eos Amaterasu: continuity of tracelessness
    Eliza Madrigal: :) Nice!
Eden Haiku: I heard once there is a Wall of Light as well as a Wall of Sound.
    Eliza Madrigal: Oh?
    Eos Amaterasu listens (and watches)
Eden Haiku: Behind this Wall of Light, space is said to be irreversible and time, to the contrary, reversible.
    Eliza Madrigal imagines
Eden Haiku: If you take a step, you cannot trace it back.
Eden Haiku: But you can go back in time.
    Pila Mulligan: hi Steve
    Eos Amaterasu: hi stevaia
    Eliza Madrigal: Hi Steve :)
    Eden Haiku: Hi Steve.
Eliza Madrigal smiles @ Eden... what imagery *that* conjurs :)
Eden Haiku: Yes and it seems it is based on some science. Heard that on the radio years ago. It impressed me very much.
Eliza Madrigal: You know with Eden, Pila, Cal, and Steve now here... there is another aspect to this 'spilling over' I think to mention too...
Eliza Madrigal: Last Wednesday morning, Eden shared a quote:
Eliza Madrigal: Eden Haiku: read in a Christaine Singer book something like this:
"Always stand as if you were standing in front of a great Being. Even when you are alone. "
Eden Haiku: Oh I have the book closeby, I will check...
Calvino Rabeni: That great being is you
Eliza Madrigal: I think I was more inspired by this than I realized... hehe... along with musing on these wonderful sessions... and found myself standing, during practice... which I'd not done :)
    Eos Amaterasu: :-)
    stevenaia Michinaga: hello (finally rezzed)
Eos Amaterasu: Yes, seeing or imagining a great Being can make one perk up
Eos Amaterasu: and rez more as one oneself (those mirror neurons.... :-)
Eliza Madrigal: yes.. hah.. like that...waking, like a splash of freezing water...

    --BELL--

Eos Amaterasu: the bell can be like that splash
Eliza Madrigal: I didn't realize until yesterday, btw, that I had been so affected by these ideas or that quote.. along with other things that came to the surface...
Eliza Madrigal: so in that way it is funny to think about decisions making themselves...
Eliza Madrigal: then maybe sometimes one looks and thinks "Oh, yes an interesting turn"
Eden Haiku: Yes, like there no 'I' to take the decision...is that what you mean Eliza?
Eliza Madrigal: then I began interviewing people about standing practices... hehe
    Eliza Madrigal: Eden, Yes :)
Eliza Madrigal: I is in the back seat anyway
Eos Amaterasu: yes, ultimately you become "a force of nature"
Eliza Madrigal: resting perhaps, in the stillness of the mountain or the shade of the tree...
Eos Amaterasu: you wear the clouds
    Eliza Madrigal: Oh... lovely
    Eos Amaterasu: like the mountain
Pila Mulligan: that is a really nice experience, sitting on a mountain when a cloud runs into you
    Pila Mulligan: in real life

Calvino explores cultural being in everyday life

Calvino Rabeni: Here in Thailand I can't help but notice the differences in collective consciousness as expressed in everyday life activities
    Eos Amaterasu listens
    Eliza Madrigal: beautiful Pila!
Calvino Rabeni: Apropos of Pila's last statement perhaps
    Eliza Madrigal: yes, listening...
Calvino Rabeni: Little tension in relation to circumstances a westerner would consider adverse
Calvino Rabeni: things not going your way or not as expected, etc
Calvino Rabeni: LIke, a 90 minute traffic jam - no sense of push or rush
Calvino Rabeni: (by the driver or riders)
Eliza Madrigal: and you feel this is a result of a sense of connection, Cal ?
Calvino Rabeni: Yes, people stay connected with each other and their sense of wellbeing regardless of those small circumstances - why not relax have fun, enjoy life and one's neighborss
    Eliza Madrigal: :)
stevenaia Michinaga: wonders what doesn;t allow that to happen here?
    stevenaia Michinaga: (for some)
Calvino Rabeni: New years celebration is a crazy bash - but still has the sense of relaxed lovingness within the bedlam
    Eos Amaterasu: more timelessness
Eos Amaterasu: like in Javanese/Balinese gamelan music, where you have long-cycle deep gongs
Calvino Rabeni: Another thing, hard to explain perhaps - I really liked the "safety demo video" on Bangkok airlines
Eliza Madrigal: one teacher recently said that western culture values busy-ness over all... over connection certainly
Calvino Rabeni: It showed presence and other qualities of mind that are like, maybe, the "mountain"
    Eos Amaterasu: hmm
    Eliza Madrigal: hmm :)
Calvino Rabeni: Oddly enough, just in a canned video that could otherwise have been routine / mechanical
Eliza Madrigal wonders if Eos may have a sample/link to the music he referenced...
Calvino Rabeni: Strange, is it not - the cultural expression of consciousness within nearly any activity regardless of its type or meaning
Calvino Rabeni: As this awareness pervades all normal activities
Eos Amaterasu: That's great - objects and features and art that open to being
    Calvino Rabeni: Yes!
Eden Haiku: I love this Balinese music...
Eliza Madrigal: pointers pictures and patterns
    Eos Amaterasu will send links
Eos Amaterasu: I once went to an all-night Javaneses shadow puppet play in Berkeley
    Eliza Madrigal: :) thx
    Eliza Madrigal: all night?
Eos Amaterasu: it seemed to have that quality you describe, Calvino
Eos Amaterasu: Yes, started in the evening
Calvino Rabeni: The video portrayed human subjects as having calm and pervading awareness
Eos Amaterasu: there's screen between gamelan orchestra and "audience", but people can wander around either side of the screen
Eos Amaterasu: on screen puppeteer projects images from stories, ramayana etc

    --BELL--

Calvino Rabeni: Surprising considering the "mundane" purpose of the presentation
Eos Amaterasu: people eat drink, smoke bidis, children are there...
Eos Amaterasu wonders if that video is online
Eliza Madrigal: pervading awareness... nice term
Calvino Rabeni: I wondered the same Eos - I'd like to study it
Eos Amaterasu: space playing as mountain
Eos Amaterasu: mountain playing as space
Calvino Rabeni: A tai chi of faces and attention - while looking at "seat belt" related things
Eliza Madrigal: you know, 'See Clearly" is a bold statement... it already implies that one can.... that 'clearly' is available
Calvino Rabeni: I've always liked the way a cultivated awareness manifests in each of the most ordinary actions
    Eliza Madrigal nods, indeed
Eos Amaterasu: Yes, "See Clearly" is fully there in an instant
    Eliza Madrigal: ! immediate
Eden Haiku: Gamelan music from Bali ;)))
    Eliza Madrigal: Ohhh, thanks, Eden
    Eden Haiku: Just a sample...
Eliza Madrigal thinks its cute that when music is playing Eden's av's mouth moves.... like singing
    Eden Haiku: it does?
Eliza Madrigal: heh, yes... I zoomed in to hear more Clearly
Eliza Madrigal: and then you appeared that way to me :)
Eden Haiku: Oh yes, because I used the 'speak' button ...
    Eliza Madrigal: :)
Eos Amaterasu: (made the mistake of plugging in headphones, and lost the sound)
Eden Haiku: ah tricky with headphones...
    Eliza Madrigal: =/
Eden Haiku: A bit more maybe?
Eos Amaterasu: there's also jokes and topical humor during shadow puppet play performances
Eos Amaterasu: the sacred and the mundane intermingle
Eliza Madrigal: Thanks Eden... really get an impression ... drums are so connecting... beating hearts...
Eos Amaterasu: gamelan :: bong along
Calvino Rabeni: These cultural displays show a lot about consciousness, if one is alert to it
Eden Haiku: Yes, gamelan goes right to the heart I find...
Calvino Rabeni: It helps not to pay attention to "content"
Eos Amaterasu: like you can get opera without knowing what they're singing about
    Eliza Madrigal nods
Eos Amaterasu: How would you say these three phrases relate to action, to doing?
Eliza Madrigal: I think most of what we've pondered is a sense of wu-wei...
Eden Haiku: I would say: take a step, see what happens, be prepared to face whatever comes up.
Eliza Madrigal: I like that Eden!
Calvino Rabeni: Your face is an interface
Eos Amaterasu: Ah yes, wu-wei, and Eden I think is describing the dance
    Eden Haiku: ;-)
Eos Amaterasu: I think that's another aspect of "be decisive"
Eos Amaterasu: it's more important than what you're decisive about
    Calvino Rabeni: Yes
Eos Amaterasu: because it's a motion, or stasis, of engagement
Calvino Rabeni: "About" has little to do with it
Eos Amaterasu: do something, and a response comes
Eliza Madrigal would love to hear more about 'the dance'.... ah, there you have
Eos Amaterasu: that's more accurate feedback than trying to premeditate the action
    Eliza Madrigal: :)
Eos Amaterasu: do - see - do
Eden Haiku: I'm dancing tango these days: one step ahead, one step back, about my decision not to go to France. I'm reconsidering.;-)
Eos Amaterasu: Paris in the springtime....
    Eliza Madrigal: oo la la
    Pila Mulligan: :)
Eden Haiku: All my frienmd are telling me I should go... I'm under influence :-))
Eos Amaterasu: Hot chocolate at Angelina's (best in the world)
Eliza Madrigal: step out moment to moment... maybe now is a moment for a new decision, Eden....
Eden Haiku: Oh yes, Angelinas's chocolate is good...And the Mont Blanc...
Eliza Madrigal: being open to change course... though Hm. mountains aren't too flexible...

    --BELL--

    Eliza Madrigal: :)
    stevenaia Michinaga: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ldPMifPbngc
    Eliza Madrigal: Thanks, Steve :))
Eos Amaterasu: I think the responsiveness, do - see - do, is the adjusting, changing
    Eos Amaterasu: within tracelessness
Eden Haiku: It feels like not beeing able to live with my decision though. Wanting my cake and to eat it too ;-))
Eliza Madrigal: so the mountain is settled... holding space, in a sense... letting rivers flow/change perhaps...
Eliza Madrigal: and the little fish leap and play :)
    Eden Haiku: Swimming upstream
Eos Amaterasu: the cosmic mirror itself holding the display of space
Eden Haiku: Going back to its birthplace
    Eos Amaterasu: never having left
    Eliza Madrigal: birthday cake...
Eden Haiku: mirror neurons erasing all sanskaras...
    Eliza Madrigal: :)
    Eos Amaterasu: cosmic mirror neurons
Eden Haiku: gee, we are a weird bunch, I love you guys!!!
Eos Amaterasu: that's us, that's poetry, that's clearings in the woods
    Eden Haiku: (((((clearings))))
    Eos Amaterasu: openings
    Eliza Madrigal: (((( clearings )))))
Eos Amaterasu: maybe even gasps :-)
    Eden Haiku: And gaps?
Eden Haiku: Holding our breath between breaths
    Eliza Madrigal: oooo...
Eden Haiku: Holding it before breathing in to rest the parasympatic system
Eden Haiku: Holding it before breathing out to fill the whole body
    Eos Amaterasu: we breathe three-dimensionally
    Eden Haiku: >3
Eliza Madrigal imagines the ground of Being, breathing....
    Eliza Madrigal: settles.. .
    Eden Haiku: Mother Earth breathing
Eliza Madrigal: I'm very thankful for our weird bunch, too :))
    Eos Amaterasu: the caring clearing
    Eden Haiku: The caring clearing/
Eden Haiku: Gasps in the gaps of our breaths/
    Eos Amaterasu: Loving tracelessness
    Eliza Madrigal: Mother Earth breathing
    Eos Amaterasu: :-)
    Eliza Madrigal: OO :)
    Pila Mulligan: :)
    Eden Haiku: ;-)
Eliza Madrigal: What a nice evening :) I suppose this will be our last 'official ' theme session on this topic, Eos?
Eliza Madrigal: Or if there is interest to continue I'd certainly like to...
Eos Amaterasu: Yes, 3 is a good number
Eliza Madrigal: 3 does seem to fit
Eos Amaterasu: but as you say it keeps echoing
Pila Mulligan slips off to RL -- aloha :)
Eden Haiku: Thank you very much Eliza and Eos, this theme session was inspiring again! Three great theme sessions.
    Eliza Madrigal: Aloha, Pila :)
    stevenaia Michinaga: night all
Eos Amaterasu: hey la, hey aloha!
    Eden Haiku: Aloha Pila ;-)
    Eliza Madrigal: Night, Steve :)
    Pila Mulligan: :)
    Eos Amaterasu: whups
Eliza Madrigal: Thank you Eden... always such a pleasure...
Eos Amaterasu: yes, time to catch sleep, thank you everybody...
    Eden Haiku: Bye everyone. (((Eliza))))

    --BELL--

Eliza Madrigal: Night Eos, thanks so much :)
    Eliza Madrigal: ((( Eden)))
Eliza Madrigal waves to Cal.... not sure you're here....
Eliza Madrigal: Enjoy Thailand and Be Safe... take notes and add to guardian pages! :)))
    Eliza Madrigal: Bye :)
