    Archmage Atlantis: A Puzzle
    Paradise Tennant: smiles and listens
Archmage Atlantis: TY for that complement, it makes me feel better,,,,yet the questions remain
Archmage Atlantis: Paradise, I don't come around often enough to know who is new and who is not
Paradise Tennant: hiya roger gtsy :)
    Paradise Tennant: yes arch ?
    Roger Ormenthal: Hi there.
Archmage Atlantis: I'll take that as a "been here b4"
    Paradise Tennant: smiles yes :)
    Archmage Atlantis: nod
Paradise Tennant: Arch was posing a question or puzzle on the finite nature of our beings versus the seeming infinite nature of the universe :)
Archmage Atlantis: a). Paradise, you said exactly what I meant to say and b )
Archmage Atlantis: I have no idea what I said
    stevenaia Michinaga: Hello
Archmage Atlantis: No new frocks yet Steve?
stevenaia Michinaga: oh this one is good for a month or so
Archmage Atlantis: Sister, Brother love.....it has been many months
    Archmage Atlantis: Time for newness
stevenaia Michinaga: things never get dirty here, just old
    Archmage Atlantis: Exactly
Paradise Tennant: smiles at stev :)
Archmage Atlantis: Hold my hand, take one last land, over the fields....to the red and the browns......diamond mountain
Paradise Tennant: watches as Arch and stev reconfigure into the new
    --BELL--
stevenaia Michinaga: and it looked like a cocktail dress when you were seated, very nice
    Paradise Tennant: smiles
Paradise Tennant: what shall we talk of tonight
    stevenaia Michinaga: nice tail Arch
stevenaia Michinaga: topic, I don't know
Archmage Atlantis: Ok, but I got ruthed as a snow leopard.......
    Archmage Atlantis: That's me
Paradise Tennant: smiles was just noticing that
    stevenaia Michinaga: it’s a sign
    Archmage Atlantis: perhaps
Paradise Tennant: a very feline snow Leopard
    stevenaia Michinaga: meant to be
stevenaia Michinaga: that's how I took it last time I was ruthed
    Archmage Atlantis: Still a leopard
stevenaia Michinaga: being a big blond beau hunk was getting old at that time
Paradise Tennant: nods good to explore different looks
Archmage Atlantis: Not often that the illusion holds in the ruthing
stevenaia Michinaga: did you get a chance to look at Bleu's video, Arch?
stevenaia Michinaga: I thought it was an amazing production
Archmage Atlantis: Hey, I have a Y chromosome......I did the DNA testing
    Paradise Tennant: smiles
Archmage Atlantis: This is not of this reality
Archmage Atlantis: Semi-nude human vs big female cat......difficult choice
Paradise Tennant: nice to have a choice though
Archmage Atlantis: Yes.....but cats are  always with me
stevenaia Michinaga: love that the shirt became a tattoo
Archmage Atlantis: Dogs gave up long ago
Archmage Atlantis: Tho I do like Australian Shepherds
Archmage Atlantis: You know who gave me the tatoo, Steve
Archmage Atlantis: It is part of who I am now
    stevenaia Michinaga: no
    Archmage Atlantis: Fael
    stevenaia Michinaga: awww, miss her
    Archmage Atlantis: I miss him
Archmage Atlantis: and both pronouns are correct
    stevenaia Michinaga: :)
stevenaia Michinaga: I know the feeling
Archmage Atlantis: Namaste.....from mine to yours
    Paradise Tennant: smiles
Paradise Tennant: we could talk of why we miss people
Paradise Tennant: of what longing is about
Archmage Atlantis: Please do Ms. Tennant
    Paradise Tennant: ok
stevenaia Michinaga: why some friends you miss more as time goes by and some you miss less
    --BELL--
Paradise Tennant: hmm because on some level they make up a part of you that feels empty when they are not there ...
Paradise Tennant: smiles which takes us back to being one big thing sort of
    Archmage Atlantis: nod
stevenaia Michinaga: you mean we are all part of each other?
    Paradise Tennant: yes
    stevenaia Michinaga: :)
Paradise Tennant: the boundaries are illusion is my guess
Archmage Atlantis: Yes, and we are all different from each other
    Archmage Atlantis: Both
stevenaia Michinaga: and the connections strengthened
Paradise Tennant: when you go through a missing moment it is an ache, right, a sense of incompleteness
stevenaia Michinaga: loose the me and we are all the same, how could someone harm another if we are all one
    Paradise Tennant: hmm delusion
Archmage Atlantis: Steven, our power to harm, it is part of us
Paradise Tennant: like swinging at a reflection in a mirror
stevenaia Michinaga: the power to harm ourselves is not so much
Archmage Atlantis: If there is a God, does that entity not often wonder "why"?
stevenaia Michinaga: I suspect there is great sense of humor looking down at us
    Archmage Atlantis: Humour yes
    Archmage Atlantis: compassion, perhaps
Archmage Atlantis: I hope for compassion
stevenaia Michinaga: a gift that we can choose to receive, some more than others
    Archmage Atlantis: bad spelling....you get a D
    stevenaia Michinaga: yes, often
    Archmage Atlantis: Me also
    Paradise Tennant: smiles
stevenaia Michinaga: waits for SL spellchecker
stevenaia Michinaga: been 5 years now
Paradise Tennant: well kind of a nice thought - though being all one ..sort of banishes loneliness :)
Paradise Tennant: In the sky, there is no distinction of east and west; people create distinctions out of their own minds and then believe them to be true. Buddha
Paradise Tennant: The mind is everything. What you think - you become. Buddha
Archmage Atlantis: Sidhartha - the world is as we believe it to be
Paradise Tennant: what you think ..you become ..
    Archmage Atlantis: Namaste
stevenaia Michinaga: you are what you eat?
    Archmage Atlantis: Paradise
    Archmage Atlantis: and Blessings
Paradise Tennant: yes what your brain munches
    --BELL--
    Paradise Tennant: smiles at Arch
Archmage Atlantis: as there are truths revealed at a later time
Paradise Tennant: smiles going to have to work on coming up with a theme for each night :)
Paradise Tennant: or a series of questions
    stevenaia Michinaga: they are nice
Paradise Tennant: they are nice :)
Paradise Tennant: if this was the last thing in the world you were going to be able to write ..what would it be :)
stevenaia Michinaga: who would I be speaking to?
Paradise Tennant: lol i guess who ever you like :)
stevenaia Michinaga: not that it would matter much...
stevenaia Michinaga: probably a salutation, peace, joy, Namaste, Sholom
stevenaia Michinaga: leave with good thoughts
Paradise Tennant: be well hope to see you soon :)
stevenaia Michinaga: is that what you would say?
    Paradise Tennant: hmm
    Paradise Tennant: not sure
Paradise Tennant: likely just thank you .. :) for the love .. the company ..the everything that is ..that was :)
stevenaia Michinaga: yes go with peace, a nice thing to leave behind
Paradise Tennant: interesting that there is no reference to anything mundane .no .material .. no talk of work .. career.. money . things ..they fade so fast  - gone from the mind in a blink
stevenaia Michinaga: nice to travel lightly to the next place
Paradise Tennant: so nice not to have to pack :)
Paradise Tennant: do you ever ponder what the next place is .. if it is
stevenaia Michinaga: I often wonder about being close to the end and wonder if I will meet it calmly as I hope to and as I meet most things
stevenaia Michinaga: but never think about what's next as it will not change what happens when I get there... or not
Paradise Tennant: believe it is all ok for those who are passing not so easy for those they leave behind
stevenaia Michinaga: I just hope what is left behind of ourselves continues to bring happiness
Paradise Tennant: what do we leave behind of ourselves
stevenaia Michinaga: memories possessed by others
    --BELL--
stevenaia Michinaga: that is where our immortality lives, in the hearts of others
Paradise Tennant: smiles at you :)
Paradise Tennant: I left in love, in laughter, and in truth and wherever truth, love and laughter abide, I am there in spirit.
Paradise Tennant: quote by Bill Hicks

stevenaia Michinaga: :), a much better way of putting it
Paradise Tennant: liked yours very well too )
Paradise Tennant: so if we are anything lasting at  all it is based on the wings of love
Paradise Tennant: our durability is a gift of love
stevenaia Michinaga: truly, what else should you need to give
Paradise Tennant: or hope to dwell in :)
Paradise Tennant: hiya cal wb roger :)
    Roger Ormenthal: Network problems
stevenaia Michinaga: hello Roger, welcome back
    Roger Ormenthal: Thanks
Paradise Tennant: we are talking of what is left us :) when we pass ... stev thinks it is the love in other's hearts for us :)
Calvino Rabeni: Good evenng Paradise Roger stevenaia
    stevenaia Michinaga: Hi Cal
    Calvino Rabeni: :)
Roger Ormenthal: One of my favorite topics.
Paradise Tennant: the question that started it ..was what would you write if you knew it was the last thing you could write
Calvino Rabeni: I went to a great memorial service a couple of weeks ago
stevenaia Michinaga: think of who we choose to remember from thousands of years ago
stevenaia Michinaga: and what they gave and left
Roger Ormenthal: Is there a concensus?
stevenaia Michinaga: looks a Paradise... was there?
    Paradise Tennant: smiles
Roger Ormenthal: My last written words would be "I love you all, see you on the other side when you are ready, till then have fun!"
    Paradise Tennant: smiles
    --BELL--
stevenaia Michinaga: seems to be the general trend, you leave with what you would wish to be left with
Calvino Rabeni: What do you think would be different if social memory were much better about those who came before?
Paradise Tennant: hmmm would love that
Paradise Tennant: to really know Joan of Arc
    Paradise Tennant: or Buddha :)
    Calvino Rabeni: Or Aristotle
Calvino Rabeni: Or ones own ancestors
stevenaia Michinaga: like the movie, Midnight in Paris
Calvino Rabeni: I've been meaning to see it
stevenaia Michinaga: go back and enjoy those you would have liked to meet
Calvino Rabeni: Yes or get a taste of their Tao
Paradise Tennant: a taste of their Tao ?
Calvino Rabeni: Yes, a sense of what they were like, overall, their holistic qualities
Paradise Tennant: I think you just penned the title Cal :)
Calvino Rabeni: It seems only a matter of time, before the avatars of virtual worlds like Second Life get virtual personality simulations, and then that gets extended retroactively to create virtual versions of people throughout history
Paradise Tennant: virtual personality simulations ?
Calvino Rabeni: Museum people would love it
stevenaia Michinaga: so you would go to the store and purchase an Isaac Newton and wear it?
Calvino Rabeni: I thought of this at a memorial service recently ... there was a little diorama of the man and his life, but it would have been great to have it saved in a virtual world like second life, to be revisited
Calvino Rabeni: because more and more stories were emerging from different people
Paradise Tennant: lol how would that work exactly?
Calvino Rabeni: it was pretty ephemeral, soon to pass
Paradise Tennant: sorry was referring to buying Isacc Newton
Calvino Rabeni: I like museums that are the houses of a famous person from the past ... Albrech Durer, or Carl Jung
Calvino Rabeni: Or Sigmund Freud, etc.
    Calvino Rabeni: (Elvis anyone?)
Calvino Rabeni: if these could be somehow constructed into virtual reality, that would be a kind of virtual museum about a person
Calvino Rabeni: they could have avatars
Calvino Rabeni: maybe sometimes with actors, or starting with simple things like quotations
Paradise Tennant: smiles a famous people sim :)
Calvino Rabeni: so viewers could start to imagine themselves in an encounter with that person
Calvino Rabeni: in their historical context
Paradise Tennant: that let's you meet and greet them
    Calvino Rabeni: yeah
Paradise Tennant: sounds like a project for the history channel
Calvino Rabeni: Reminds me of the museum dioramas that have a lot of stuffed wildlife .. a bear, some birds and mice, etc.
    Calvino Rabeni: except more animated
stevenaia Michinaga: they can use actors
Paradise Tennant: the weather channel had a sim for a while .. used to body surf there :) fun ;)
Calvino Rabeni: yes there are some historical theme parks .. you know some near Boston?
    Calvino Rabeni: they use actors
    --BELL--
stevenaia Michinaga: bed time for me, night all
Calvino Rabeni: Good night Stevenaia :)
Paradise Tennant: but to "taste someone's Tao it would take more than just quotes ?
    Paradise Tennant: nite nite stev
Calvino Rabeni: It would indeed, Para
Paradise Tennant: a vulcan mind meld comes to mind somehow
Calvino Rabeni: That sounds effective ...It might be that we will not be able to do better than art and imagination for quite some time
Paradise Tennant: who would you most like to talk to ? Cal ?
Calvino Rabeni: Hmm, this afternoon I had a dream that Einstein had appeared at my house, chased by the ghost of I think, Maxwell, for an in-completed talk
Calvino Rabeni: I think I'd like to "browse" a variety of historic persons
Calvino Rabeni: for some reason, Thomas Jefferson and Benjamin Franklin come to mind
Paradise Tennant: at Princeton we walked by his office (Einstein’s) .. sat in armchairs where he would have drunk tea.. poured from a silver service he would have poured from
Paradise Tennant: sort interesting even being in the everyday sameness they were
Calvino Rabeni: You went to afternoon tea ?
Calvino Rabeni: I like those traditions
Paradise Tennant: yes in the Institute for Advanced Studies where Piet teaches they serve tea every day at 4 pm
    Paradise Tennant: smiles
Calvino Rabeni: I might be interested in a sit with Chief Sealth
    Paradise Tennant: with cookies
    Calvino Rabeni: smiles yes
    Paradise Tennant: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Chief_Seattle
Calvino Rabeni: My father took me to his grave one time
Paradise Tennant: wonders what he would have told you :)
    --BELL--
Calvino Rabeni: Maybe nothing, or a lot of something "between the lines"
Calvino Rabeni: or perhaps "thanks for all the fish"
Paradise Tennant: smiles the Buddhist believe that those who have passed can still feel love if you direct it at them
Calvino Rabeni: Then they must also believe it works in the other direction
Paradise Tennant: thinks about all the people who it would be nice to send love too
Paradise Tennant: hmm now sure about the other direction – but think  I have felt odd bouts of feeling loved – smiles maybe J
Roger Ormenthal: Those who have passed definitely, receive our love. No love is ever wasted. It is the most precious subtle substance.
Paradise Tennant: yes stev and I were surmising that one kind of living beyond is to live the hearts of those who truly have loved us:)
Paradise Tennant: sorry for all the typos getting a lot of lag .. taking a long time to type things
Calvino Rabeni: That might be worth praticing?
    Paradise Tennant: hiya Susan
    iwandertoo Resident: waves quietly
Paradise Tennant: living in the hearts of others ?
    Calvino Rabeni: Yes
Calvino Rabeni: (I meant to place this earlier) https://picasaweb.google.com/lh/phot...eat=directlink
Paradise Tennant: what does that look like - on an average day living in the hearts of others?
    Calvino Rabeni: (thinking)
Paradise Tennant: we have been talking of ways that we continue after we have passed Susan ..one way is through love

    iwandertoo Resident: point of reference
iwandertoo Resident: a mode of being as a referent
Calvino Rabeni: Eyes are a window to the soul... and Eyes also reflect one another
    --BELL--
Calvino Rabeni: What past persons would you like to speak with, Para?
    Paradise Tennant: hmmm
Paradise Tennant: well Buddha for sure .. like to have the whole enlightenment thing explained err the Cole's notes explanation
Paradise Tennant: would like to have tea with Jane Austen :)
    Calvino Rabeni: :)
Paradise Tennant: some of the greek thinkers :) Aristole, Epictetus :)
    Paradise Tennant: Mohammed :)
    Paradise Tennant: Kesus :)
Paradise Tennant: would make for one heck of a dinner party :)
    Calvino Rabeni: Big Fish :)
Calvino Rabeni: I would definitely invite Chaucer to that party
Paradise Tennant: smiles and nods and packs a dictionary :)
Calvino Rabeni: Might be a tough crowd to host
Paradise Tennant: the seating arrangement would require a fair amount of thought but I bet they would all enjoy themselves
Calvino Rabeni: Hmm, shouldn't Gandhi be on the guest list?
Paradise Tennant: yes was thinking that too
Paradise Tennant: and his daughter ?
Calvino Rabeni: And his daughter's mother
Paradise Tennant: some of the great scientists ?
    Paradise Tennant: smiles
    Calvino Rabeni: Curie
Paradise Tennant: would like to meet Thomas Beckett ..the man who penned " the reward of patience is patience :)
    Paradise Tennant: King Solomon ?
    --BELL--
Paradise Tennant: would like to meet some of the great thinkers who would be so curious to see what our today is like :)
Calvino Rabeni: I was thinking, Jonathan Swift
    Paradise Tennant: Michelangelo
    Roger Ormenthal: Leonardo

Calvino Rabeni: "The best doctors in the world are Doctor Diet, Doctor Quiet, and Doctor Merryman. " (Swift)
    Paradise Tennant: smiles yes
    Paradise Tennant: lol
    Paradise Tennant: perfect
Calvino Rabeni: "What they do in heaven we are ignorant of; what they do not do we are told expressly. "
Roger Ormenthal: Communing with Cosmic Silence allows the body to return to the baseline healthy template.
Calvino Rabeni: " A lie does not consist in the indirect position of words, but in the desire and intention, by false speaking, to deceive and injure your neighbour. "
Paradise Tennant: is all deceit injury? sometimes I suspect silence is a gift :)
Calvino Rabeni: The baseline healthy template is probably a dance
Paradise Tennant: one requiring balance :)
Calvino Rabeni: Before walking, there was dancing, before speaking there was singing
Roger Ormenthal: Our quadrillions of molecules are always in dance.
Calvino Rabeni: Then why am I sitting here lumpishly :)
Paradise Tennant: a dance of Tao :)
Roger Ormenthal: One may be an outward lump while dancing inwardly. paradox is the name of the game. And I'm sure that your lump has a lovely aura.
Calvino Rabeni: Why thank you Roger :)
    Paradise Tennant: smiles
Paradise Tennant: at the thought that everything is dancing :)
    --BELL--
Roger Ormenthal: Our ATPase protein complexes numbering in the countelss trillions, within the mitochondra cell organelle, where depleted ADP is restored to ATP, the basic energy molecule of th cel, are molecular machines which contain a proton gradient motor that is constantly spinning and drives the reactio. Thus, we each contain an incomprehensible multitude of whirling dervish dancers at every moment as part of our fundamental life process.
Paradise Tennant: feels slightly dizzy :)
Calvino Rabeni: You can say that again ! :)
Calvino Rabeni: What do you think Rumi meant in the poem that said "wake up... you are drunk and are standing near the edge of the roof" ?
Paradise Tennant: smiles always liked that one
    Paradise Tennant: I guess .. we need a ladder :) ?
Calvino Rabeni: I don't think it's a recommendation for sobriety
    Paradise Tennant: smiles
Paradise Tennant: funny thing about falling is that it has a pull - a seduction in the very movement of it .. there is surrender ..it is why people like to sky dive .. it feels free
Calvino Rabeni: Can we do that each moment ?
Paradise Tennant: yes I suspect we can :)
Calvino Rabeni: "The person who with fieriness tends toward the profound sacred tremor reaches his true nature even within activity."
Roger Ormenthal: And zero gravity is a reminder of the womb experience.
Calvino Rabeni: "To grasp this fundamental truth is to see absolute freedom everywhere. Thus, the activity of the senses itself dwells in this fundamental freedom and pours forth from it. "
Calvino Rabeni: "Therefore, the person who rediscovers this essential sacred tremor of consciousness escapes the dim confusion of limited desire. "
Calvino Rabeni: (end of quote) :)

Roger Ormenthal: What fun, to be fully nourished through one's belly button.
    Paradise Tennant: lol
Calvino Rabeni: Have we lost sight of the umbilicus?
Paradise Tennant: smiles no .. think we call it love :)
Roger Ormenthal: Space walking astronauts sort of used to do it.
Paradise Tennant: going to have to say thank you and good night .. 12.42 am here and have yet to walk the pup :)
Roger Ormenthal: One lucky pup is about to be very happy.
Calvino Rabeni: Ah, I have a rendezvous with a cabbage I need to attend
Paradise Tennant: smiles Namaste :) my friends J
    Calvino Rabeni: _/!\_
    Calvino Rabeni: Good night
Calvino Rabeni: Roger and San :)
    Roger Ormenthal: Goodnight.
