Lucinda Lavender: Good Morning Riddle:)
Dash Earthboy: hey y'all
Lucinda Lavender: and Dash:)
Riddle Sideways: Hi Luci, Dash and monkey
--BELL--
Dash Earthboy: finally getting a chance to be here today as I wait for calls from potential employers
Riddle Sideways: ooooo exciting
Dash Earthboy: yah
Riddle Sideways: where are you
Dash Earthboy: but while i'm in here, i have to deal with all who been infected by colds/sore throats that a couple people came in with and started spreading around
Dash Earthboy: they make no effort to cover their mouths or limit their sneezes
Dash Earthboy: i'm in North Platte, Nebraska
Dash Earthboy: first time in my life i've ever stayed in a shelter
Dash Earthboy: altho i have voluntarily worked at others
Dash Earthboy: and ran a small (one room) shelter in my home
Riddle Sideways: first for everythnig
Dash Earthboy: some firsts are better than others :)
Riddle Sideways: or they would be called seconds
Dash Earthboy: so there's some serious viruses going around here
Dash Earthboy: and i've been warned the mosquitoes in the back yard are carrying west nile virus
Dash Earthboy: like to live on the edge Riddle?
Riddle Sideways: you are right on that edge
Dash Earthboy: yah
Dash Earthboy: i work in the trenches to improve quality of life for others usually
Dash Earthboy: not so great to be here as a dependent
Riddle Sideways: that saying about what does not kill you makes you stronger
Dash Earthboy: pls Riddle, no tripe now huh?
Lucinda Lavender: I sometimes carry sanitizer in my pocket at work ...
Dash Earthboy: i know too many cancer survivors who know that the cancer that didn't kill them sure did NOT make them stronger
Dash Earthboy: yah Luc, I've got hand sanitizers, flushable wipes and stuff like that too
Dash Earthboy: i prepared as well as i could
Dash Earthboy: but here, some of the sick guys are already hitting me up for the little bit of medicines I brought for allergies
Dash Earthboy: trying to use that medicine to cure sore throats!
Lucinda Lavender: how hot is it there?
Dash Earthboy: i've said for a long time "ignorance abounds"
Dash Earthboy: finally got a break here, only about 85 yesterday
Lucinda Lavender: sounds better in that regard
Dash Earthboy: yah
Dash Earthboy: at break i'll be making two phone calls, just so's ya know
Lucinda Lavender: so any songs floating through your consiousness as you in habit that spot in the universe?
Dash Earthboy: "tomorrow never knows"
Lucinda Lavender: ah...trying to remember who sang it...
Dash Earthboy: one call is about a software test tech job 100 miles back where I spent Monday night
Dash Earthboy: Luc, it was the Beatles
Lucinda Lavender: thanks...
Riddle Sideways: a one chord song
Lucinda Lavender: ah right...very meditative then...
Dash Earthboy: amazing amount of grief i've been getting online from Quakers who claim to "unconditionally love" me
Dash Earthboy: when i was right there over a week ago, they didn't have time to even speak to me
Dash Earthboy: not just one mind you, but a bunch of em
--BELL--
Lucinda Lavender: hmmm
Lucinda Lavender: thinking about how we get grief when people care about us...
Riddle Sideways: can not chat, kitty blocking keybrd
Lucinda Lavender: HI Kitty...
Dash Earthboy: hi kitty
Dash Earthboy: Luc, grief often comes in the form of "holier than thou" or "more enlightened than you" advice
Dash Earthboy: including attacks on my beliefs which they want me to abdicate in favor of theirs which I've already determined to lack integrity
Riddle Sideways: ok, she is upset at being moved
Lucinda Lavender: well perhaps it is threatening for them then and as you reinvent your self the whole process requires more flexible a view...
Dash Earthboy: i'm always amazed at how few recognize my flexibility and also want to break my integrity
Dash Earthboy: i am so very flexible within such integrity
Lucinda Lavender: like kitty...
Dash Earthboy: right now trying to discuss such serious matters I am being distracted by a bunch of sneezers and coughers who have entered the room loudly
Riddle Sideways: yep
Dash Earthboy: and are playing stupid computer games loudly on the community systems
Dash Earthboy: i'm on my own laptop
Dash Earthboy: definitely not looking for any slices at me no matter how apparently delicate or subtle
Lucinda Lavender: can you move further way?
Dash Earthboy: no
Dash Earthboy: you wouldn't believe how hard it is to find an outlet around here anywhere
Dash Earthboy: had to wait two days to be given wifi access code
Dash Earthboy: not an easy life right now
Dash Earthboy: btw, chores here twice daily in addition to charge for sleeping on mattress on floor
Dash Earthboy: no lunch
Dash Earthboy: no close grocery stores to use my food stamps at
Dash Earthboy: just convenience stores
--BELL--
Dash Earthboy: for my own health, i've been driving to Walmart (where in Nebraska I haven't found one with tables/chairs for eating like I found everywhere else) and got a chef's salad and raspberry iced tea for lunch
Dash Earthboy: which i've had to bring back here from that other side of town just to consume
Dash Earthboy: gas costing more than the food
Dash Earthboy: hey Bruce
Riddle Sideways: Hi Bruce
Bruce Mowbray: Hey, Dash, Riddle, Lucinda!
Bruce Mowbray listens.
Lucinda Lavender: Hi Bruce:)
Bruce Mowbray: Hey, Riddle.
Lucinda Lavender: no park to picnic in then?
Dash Earthboy: nope
Dash Earthboy: and then there's the flies & mosquitoes outside to consider
Lucinda Lavender: ...I was wondering if you have had any dreams...
Dash Earthboy: been being awakened by others' noise alot through each night
Lucinda Lavender: sometimes dreams are quite helpful and healing with information that is useful...
Dash Earthboy: so can't remember any dreams right now Luc
Dash Earthboy: glad i got that information out on calls at the breaks
Dash Earthboy: one is for a library job here
Dash Earthboy: :)
Dash Earthboy: working for the city :)
Lucinda Lavender: that would be great!
Dash Earthboy: yep!
Riddle Sideways: good
Dash Earthboy: no jobs like that back where my house is y'know?
Dash Earthboy: jobs there are filled by who you know
Dash Earthboy: even when required to advertise, the successful candidate has already been chosen
Dash Earthboy: here is much more legitimate
Dash Earthboy: hey Arch
Lucinda Lavender: good morning Arch:)
Riddle Sideways: Hi Arch
Archmage Atlantis: Morning (for me) Lucinda, Dash, Bruce, Riddle
Bruce Mowbray: Good morning, Arch.
Lucinda Lavender: This morning I had a dream I need to write down...just before I opened up the computer
Lucinda Lavender: was looking for a water filter for my family...and then in a classroom ....watched by a parent who was thinking of allowing their child to attend...could not see the parent at first but then noticed ...the parent was in the corner surrrounded by dolls etc.
Lucinda Lavender: hard to notice
Archmage Atlantis: This isn't a dream session, at least as far as I know, ......however that dream brings immediate thoughts to my mind
Lucinda Lavender: :)
Lucinda Lavender: ?
--BELL--
Archmage Atlantis: A parent who sees images of children, dolls, rather than their actual child
Archmage Atlantis: And tho this is the time for silence....a water filter would be a way to screen out the impurities in the image
Archmage Atlantis: To retain what is real
Lucinda Lavender: and I thought too about being careful of what I was saying...which is wierd because I don't think of myself as likely to say anything that bears watching...but the dream suggests I should...Yes Arch...see what is real:)
Dash Earthboy: bears?
Lucinda Lavender: probably stuffed ones there:)
Lucinda Lavender: just the issue of being watched when you don realize it is interesting too
Archmage Atlantis: also bares watching.....bears and bares.....both words with other meanings attached in English
Dash Earthboy: :)@Arch
Bruce Mowbray ponders whether to give his inner child permission to "attend" -- and that PaB offers many opportunities to do this among other "parents" who have surrounded themselves with "dolls." (or am I being to metaphorical?
Lucinda Lavender: no that too is what I was thinking Bruce
Bruce Mowbray: Allowing ourselves to be seen is a biggie, of course.
Lucinda Lavender: last week I had a dream before this session in which I met some reletive of Pema who "watched his children"
Archmage Atlantis: Methinks, all of life is a play, and we are but actors in it.....PaB, metaphorical? really? *smiles*
Lucinda Lavender: well the dream can be the landscape for a play within a play:)
Dash Earthboy: *how much of life is redundant?
Bruce Mowbray: For one who stays "present," nothing is redundant.
Archmage Atlantis: Agree, Bruce
Lucinda Lavender: and all is potential, fertile
Bruce Mowbray: but one hears "echoes" all the time.
Bruce Mowbray: ;-)
Archmage Atlantis: Agree again
Lucinda Lavender: yes...which is why letting go of past engy can be of help
Lucinda Lavender: energy that sticks with us
Bruce Mowbray: WOW -- I am so glad you said that, Luci.
Archmage Atlantis: The most wonderful thing about growing older is that one begins to see patterns
Lucinda Lavender: I often pull invisible cords of energy back so that the movement of time and such is fresh
Lucinda Lavender: patterns...dreams of late have had the geometric shapes in them interesting ly
Lucinda Lavender: what language do they convey I wonder?
Archmage Atlantis: From a song "everytime you walk into kindness, take one step forward".....echos
Lucinda Lavender: lovely...
Lucinda Lavender: having said thank you and I disconnect to situations from the day before has a way of opening up the path
Dash Earthboy: *dreams are only wishes and a wish is just a dream you wish to come true...
Bruce Mowbray remembers when he used to "see" abstract ideas (like "truth" and "justice") as solid geometrical shapes.
Lucinda Lavender: do you remember Bruce more about them?
Bruce Mowbray: only that they appeared as Platonic solids.
--BELL--
Dash Earthboy: wishing you well
Archmage Atlantis: Blessings and Namaste, Dash
Lucinda Lavender: thanks Dash...the same for you:)
Archmage Atlantis: And to all
Archmage Atlantis: ty
Lucinda Lavender: namaste ARch
Riddle Sideways: bye all, need to go be
Bruce Mowbray: I also need to go.
Bruce Mowbray: Thanks to both and all of you.
Bruce Mowbray: Thanks, Lucinda.
Lucinda Lavender: good day riddle and Bruce...namaste
Bruce Mowbray: I hope all is well in NYC with your daughter.
Lucinda Lavender: me too:)
Bruce Mowbray: ;-)
Bruce Mowbray: Have a happy and safe day.
Lucinda Lavender: so far so good:)
Bruce Mowbray: That's good to hear.
Bruce Mowbray: Be well!
Lucinda Lavender: yes you too:)
Bruce Mowbray: TY!
