Wol Euler was guardian for this session.

Yaku (yakuzza.lethecus): hi, guten morgen wol
PaB Listener Master: Oh noez! The webserver has died. The log cannot be automatically recorded.
Bertram Jacobus: good morning friends :-)
Bertram Jacobus: hmmm - i can't change my sit position - why is that ?
Bertram Jacobus: now it worked !
Bertram Jacobus: i'm in the middle now ... :o)
    Wol Euler smiles.
Wol Euler: I could move ...
    Bertram Jacobus: ehm -
Bertram Jacobus: then i wouldn't be in the middle anymore *g*
    Wol Euler chuckles.
Wol Euler: good morning, my dears
Yaku (yakuzza.lethecus): good morning the two of you :)
Bertram Jacobus looks up "to chuckle" in his online dictionary ... ;-)
Bertram Jacobus: ah - no i know :-)
    Bertram Jacobus: i'm a dear ... :-)
    Bertram Jacobus: dears and a deer (?) ... :o)
    Wol Euler: catelope
    Yaku (yakuzza.lethecus): :)
    Yaku (yakuzza.lethecus): our dear deer
    Bertram Jacobus: antelope ?
Wol Euler: nope :) like an antelope but different.
Bertram Jacobus: ah : + cat
    Wol Euler: right!
    Wol Euler grins.
    Bertram Jacobus: yaay
Bertram Jacobus: what is the difference between no and nope pls ?
Wol Euler: only tone of voice. no is neutral, nope is jokey
Bertram Jacobus: is nope more polite ?
Wol Euler: less :) but friendlier
Bertram Jacobus: ah. nice. i see. nice :-)
Wol Euler: you would never say "nope" to somebody that you would say "Sie" to
    Bertram Jacobus: or sir *g*
    Wol Euler: right
    Bertram Jacobus: nope sir !
Yaku (yakuzza.lethecus): i almost always say sir to someone when i am jokey to the person, i might not have enough contact with "sir's" *giggle*
    Bertram Jacobus: excellencies ... :-)
Yaku (yakuzza.lethecus): saying sir and my lady never almost never came over my lips in a really formal sense
    Wol Euler nods.
Wol Euler: it's a bit out of date, unless you live in certain areas of London
Wol Euler: or otherwise associate with the aristocracy
Wol Euler: funny concept, that: aristocracy
    Yaku (yakuzza.lethecus): aristocats
Wol Euler: one has power and prestige and (often) tons of money, simply for being born.
    Bertram Jacobus: pride ...
Bertram Jacobus: another aspect of that -
    Wol Euler: usually, yes
Wol Euler: they often seem to feel that being born into the right family is as hard as getting a university degree or working for a living
Wol Euler: I have to admit that I know very few, and that at least one of them is not at *all* like this description :)
Bertram Jacobus: and nobody knows, whether that being born somewhere is a merit, an effect of causes of the individuum ...
Wol Euler: so this is probably just a projection, and my strength of feeling an attachment, that I should drop
Bertram Jacobus: hmmm - "as hard as" ....
Bertram Jacobus: my impressions are more that they take it for very naturally sometimes or don't ask why it is like it is and take it - understandable - as quite grave

    -- BELL --

Bertram Jacobus: being humble mostly seems not to be so easy for higher positioned persons - may be even impossible (?) - and in perfection - would be enligtened may be ...
    Wol Euler nods.
Wol Euler: or as another sage put it "It is easier for a camel to pass through the eye of a needle, than for a rich man to enter heaven"
    Bertram Jacobus: yes !
Wol Euler: money and power and prestige are addictive, that's the problem
Bertram Jacobus: a very much discussed sage again and again in certain circles ... they talk about interpretations then and that it could be differently understood and so on ...
    Wol Euler smiles.
Bertram Jacobus: prestige more then money i think (?) (addictive)
Wol Euler: possibly, perhaps you think that more due to your personal wonderfulness :)
Wol Euler: whereas money comes from outside
Bertram Jacobus decides not having understood the last lines , at least not very surely ... ;-)
Wol Euler: I'm suggesting that people feel their prestige is caused directly by how wonderful they are (they must be, since they have all this prestige!)
Wol Euler: so they are attached to that because it is a reflection of themselves
Bertram Jacobus: ah, okay ! ty !
Wol Euler: whereas their money came from outside of them, either from family inheritance or earned somehow
Bertram Jacobus: hi zon ... :-)
    Zon Kwan: heya
Wol Euler: if you can say that anyone truly "earns" a salary of ... good god, there's no Euro key on this goddamned new keyboard! Can this be true?
Bertram Jacobus: hey qt ! :-)
    Qt Core: Hi all
    Wol Euler: hello zon, qt
Wol Euler: ah, there it is
Bertram Jacobus: at the e key ? €
    Wol Euler: yes
Yaku (yakuzza.lethecus): good morning zon and qt
Wol Euler: too small, didn't notice it
Bertram Jacobus: i was too slow - sry
Bertram Jacobus: now yaku is in the middle ... ;o)
    Wol Euler smiles.
Yaku (yakuzza.lethecus): considering all the rain and the cold weather it's quiety comfy :)
Bertram Jacobus: yes : i liked the rain this morning already, before this meeting, very much ! ... :-)
Qt Core: quite sunny and warm around here (but still a little under season average)
Wol Euler: it's been a wet and chilly summer here, so far
Bertram Jacobus: yes. i heared it : southern europe seems to be quite normal this year - but in our regions it isn't
Qt Core: somewhat colder, especially July
    Wol Euler: wb zon
    Zon Kwan: ty
Bertram Jacobus: hehe - bad internetconnection zon ? ;-)

    -- BELL --

    Zon Kwan: yup
Qt Core: but you know, as i just installed AC as for Murphy's laws a colder summer was to be expected ;-)
Bertram Jacobus: i must admit i don't like the belief - as all beliefs of that kind - in murphy's laws at all ! ... ;-)
Bertram Jacobus: hi korel ! :-)
    Qt Core: hi korel
    Wol Euler: hello korel
    Korel Laloix: morning
Bertram Jacobus: has broken ... ;-)
    Wol Euler: very broken
Zon Kwan: what you believe..usually is true for you
    Korel Laloix: Not quite yet.
Qt Core: you know, there are two approach to Murphy's laws: laugh at them or wanting to commit suicide after having read them :-)
    Wol Euler nods.
    Zon Kwan: laugh is better
    Zon Kwan: feels better
Zon Kwan: so a better choice
Qt Core: but still, some are so true...
    Qt Core: ;-)
Zon Kwan: if you believe them
    Zon Kwan: they are true
Bertram Jacobus: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FP7Ry9MfkQU (morning has broken - cat stevens - the comments say, it was so spiritual) (!) ... :-)
Wol Euler: like "truth" or "justice" then, zon :)
Wol Euler: also true if you believe them
    Zon Kwan: and money
Zon Kwan: if noone would believe in money...
Zon Kwan: it would loose its value
Wol Euler: ... we'd see the stock market meltdown that is happening around the world
    Yaku (yakuzza.lethecus) sneaks out silently
Qt Core: they lat you rant against an adverse fate/spirit/devil for a brief monent while you regroup
Wol Euler: bye yaku, enjoy the day
    Yaku (yakuzza.lethecus): havea good sunday
    Wol Euler: you too
    Qt Core: bye yaku
Qt Core: i see most of your skin as black and the back of your head is lacking, Zon
Bertram Jacobus: money should be a mere instrument for helping to interchange goods and services ! ...
Wol Euler: zon's head is missing for me too :) but I do see his skin
    Wol Euler: can you rebake?
Zon Kwan: ah now u see..i have a hole in my head
Wol Euler: are you wearing an alpha mask, perhaps?
Bertram Jacobus: no. it's the skin. i saw already somebody before with that skin - finally he changed it
Korel Laloix: NIN song... head like hole.
    Zon Kwan: alpha mask ?
    Zon Kwan: whats that
Korel Laloix: Could be your theam song.
Qt Core: sometime the "make me invisible" alpha mask would be so useful sometimes in rl...
Zon Kwan: what is alpha mask
Wol Euler: an alpha mask is a newly-added appearance layer that is used to make bits of you invisible
Wol Euler: typically in fancy boots for women :)
Wol Euler: but furry avs use them too for the bent legs
Wol Euler: if that were the case it would be listen in your ... well, there he goes
Wol Euler: his connection is probably the problem
Korel Laloix: I have had alot of that recently as well.
    Korel Laloix: Not fully rezzing.
    Wol Euler chuckles.
    Wol Euler: invisible qt
Wol Euler: just his communicator device is there
    Qt Core: ;-)
Wol Euler: oh, this is interesting! you remain hidden even on the "highlight transparent" viewer setting
Qt Core: in V2 i see miself with highlight transparent
Wol Euler: probably a phoenix bug, then
Korel Laloix: Not there in teh OC Tree either.
    Soleil8 Andel is Online
Korel Laloix: Howeerf, a 45 ARC.

    -- BELL --

    Korel Laloix: however
Qt Core: (back to the material plane)
    Wol Euler smiles.
Wol Euler: no transporter malfunction this time
Qt Core: no, that happens only when i end up in medieval sims wearing my trek uniform ;-)
    Wol Euler: :)
    Bertram Jacobus: hey rhia ! ... ;-)
Qt Core: scared by the girls Bert ?
    Korel Laloix: We do bite.
    Wol Euler grins.
Rhiannon of the Birds (rhiannon.dragoone): Hi Bertram
Wol Euler: hello rhi, nice to see you
Korel Laloix: And wol can gore you as well.
Bertram Jacobus: nooooo - not at all - *smile boldly* - interested in symmetry
Rhiannon of the Birds (rhiannon.dragoone): bite? I sthere something kinky going on here ?
    Qt Core: Hi Rhia
    Wol Euler: not yet
    Korel Laloix: Biting isnt kinky.
Rhiannon of the Birds (rhiannon.dragoone): Hi QAt
Korel Laloix: What does that error message mean?
Qt Core: we are just wondering if we have to be scared by this two (or all) girls
Bertram Jacobus: we ? not me *g*
Wol Euler whispers: it means that the server isn
Wol Euler: isn't responding properly and the session is not being recorded
    Korel Laloix: OH.
Wol Euler: i.e. not in the exernal database
Wol Euler: it will still be posted, from my own chatlog
Bertram Jacobus: even not althuogh you claimed it wol ?
Korel Laloix: OH good... I can saw what I ant then.... smiles
    Bertram Jacobus: ah
Qt Core: i have no problems saying i know several girls/women i'm scared by
Korel Laloix: Fear no, respect yes.
Wol Euler: I thought you always did, korel :)
Rhiannon of the Birds (rhiannon.dragoone): Well, as long as there isn't a chain reaction...
Rhiannon of the Birds (rhiannon.dragoone): And all our servers go down.
Wol Euler: technically the server (computer) is fine, it's just the communication process that has stopped. I'm trying to get somebody to restart it
Korel Laloix: ON ocation I will hold back somethig I think.
Wol Euler: so your logs should be ok
Rhiannon of the Birds (rhiannon.dragoone): I'm just glad I'm late, so none of m comments will be permanently destroyed
Bertram Jacobus: hehe wb zon again ;-)
Rhiannon of the Birds (rhiannon.dragoone): Hi Zon
Bertram Jacobus: poor you ! (always crashing) ...
    Zon Kwan: hi again
Qt Core: wb to black skinned half head missing Zon :)
Bertram Jacobus: to me, he is not black skinned
Zon Kwan: well noone is perfect
Wol Euler: I wouldn't worry about that, zon, your connection problem is probably the cause of the appearance problem
Zon Kwan: to me u are grey
Qt Core: back to his fully self now
Rhiannon of the Birds (rhiannon.dragoone): He looks fine to me, but I'm only seeing the half he is presenting to me
    Wol Euler: same cause, zon
    Zon Kwan: true rhi
Bertram Jacobus: i now see a complete zon avatar !
Zon Kwan: ah now i see her, always a delight for m y eyes
Rhiannon of the Birds (rhiannon.dragoone) waves and smiles at Zon
Wol Euler: yay, zon's head is back
Rhiannon of the Birds (rhiannon.dragoone): It was never gone on my viewer
Wol Euler: (wasn't there a Star Trek episode about that?)
Rhiannon of the Birds (rhiannon.dragoone): Wol, if there wasn't, there should have been.
Bertram Jacobus: about what pls ?
    Zon Kwan: about myhead ?
    Bertram Jacobus: lol
Wol Euler: spock's brain went missing in one episode :)
Qt Core: there was about spock brain being taken aweay from his head
    Bertram Jacobus: hmmm - don't know that one i fear - or i forgot ... :-/
    Wol Euler nods and smiles
Rhiannon of the Birds (rhiannon.dragoone): Yes, and they found it under the Captain's chair
Rhiannon of the Birds (rhiannon.dragoone): It's always the last place you look
Wol Euler: pretty much so, rhi
Zon Kwan: well how did he manage withou his mind
Qt Core: you know, you always find things in the last place you search as you stop searching after that
Qt Core: they put a remote inside his head to pilot him until they fpund his brain
Rhiannon of the Birds (rhiannon.dragoone): Qt, yep
Rhiannon of the Birds (rhiannon.dragoone): WB Bertram
Zon Kwan: who controled that remote

    -- BELL --

    Bertram Jacobus: lol ty wow - that's seldom ! that i crash ... :-)
    Wol Euler: wb
    Qt Core: Bones (the doctor)
Zon Kwan: ah..so he was a robot
    Bertram Jacobus: ommmmm
Zon Kwan: bu we are said not to use our mind to get enlightened
Wol Euler: perhaps he'd get there first
Wol Euler: do robots have buddha-mind?
    Bertram Jacobus: i guess so
    Zon Kwan: hm
    Zon Kwan: no,,,,
Bertram Jacobus: i see buddha mind as a quality of everything
Zon Kwan: so buddha mind is all
Bertram Jacobus: more or less revealed
Qt Core: well they are probably free af passions, but as they never had those are they free of them or just ignorant ?
    Zon Kwan: ?
Bertram Jacobus: yes. in my understanding - yes - where else should it be ?
    Zon Kwan: hm
Zon Kwan: i have thot it means an evolved mind
    Zon Kwan: that transcends mind
Bertram Jacobus: when it can't be found anywhere - shouldn't i t be everywhere - because we hope or feel it ?
Rhiannon of the Birds (rhiannon.dragoone): I thought the Buddha mind was none, not all.
    Zon Kwan: hm
Zon Kwan: depends on what we mean y words
Rhiannon of the Birds (rhiannon.dragoone): ARem
Zon Kwan: but robot mind can be seen as different too
Rhiannon of the Birds (rhiannon.dragoone): Aren't I supposed to bonk you on the head right about now, Zon? Or is that just Zen?
Bertram Jacobus: and qt - i think it's a matter of developement
Zon Kwan: u can bonk me anytime rhi
Bertram Jacobus: lol - i looked that word up in my dictionary ! :-)
Rhiannon of the Birds (rhiannon.dragoone) blushes a deep crimson and gives Zon the look. 'Didn't mean it *that* way.'
Rhiannon of the Birds (rhiannon.dragoone): Besides I'm a lady; it's the guy who is supposed to do the bonking.
Zon Kwan: ignorant mind...experienced mind ..innocent mind
Wol Euler: depends on your fetish ...
Korel Laloix: I will disagree with you on that one... smiles
Zon Kwan: rhi ..are we bound by traditional man woman roles ?
Bertram Jacobus: yes. there are practices called "riding" and so on ... *giggle*
Rhiannon of the Birds (rhiannon.dragoone): Well, ertain things are anatomially dictated.
Rhiannon of the Birds (rhiannon.dragoone): Gosh, I can't even spell, you've got mse so--erm--rattled, Zon
Zon Kwan: mind can be seen being in different stages
Rhiannon of the Birds (rhiannon.dragoone): Yes, back to mind. lol
Bertram Jacobus: body and mind - are combined - rhyme ... :o)
Qt Core: dirty minds are minds too
Zon Kwan: ignorant mind ican be seen as contrast to an enlightened inocent mind
    Zon Kwan: like buddhas
Rhiannon of the Birds (rhiannon.dragoone): A whole new meaning to 'ignorance is bliss.'
Zon Kwan: his mind was not ignoratn
    Zon Kwan: btu perhaps innocent
Zon Kwan: so its different from robots
    Zon Kwan: mind
Bertram Jacobus: "there are always differences and common aspects"
Zon Kwan: ignorance is matter without awareness
Qt Core: i have to go, bye all and have fun
Rhiannon of the Birds (rhiannon.dragoone): bye, Qt!
Bertram Jacobus: byee qt ! *wave*
Wol Euler: bye qt, enjoy the day
Zon Kwan: matter with full awareness is bliss
Korel Laloix: Ignorence is sometimes better.
Rhiannon of the Birds (rhiannon.dragoone): Depends on what's the matter. lol
Korel Laloix: I think ther are things we all wish we did ot know.
    Wol Euler: true
    Zon Kwan: nods..
Zon Kwan: matter is just a perspective
Zon Kwan: id like to know all
Korel Laloix: I think life wouldbe boring that way.
Bertram Jacobus: but better then ignorance seems to be acceptance and integration - at least i consider that ...
    Zon Kwan: but gradually
Korel Laloix: There are very few things as thriling as learning something.... at least to me.
    Zon Kwan: yes
    Wol Euler: mmhmm
    Zon Kwan: to know all..gradually
    Zon Kwan: with suprises
    Zon Kwan: ahh
Korel Laloix: Depends on the surprize..... smiles
Zon Kwan: a suprise must be a suprise
Bertram Jacobus: in an universe which were unbounded knowing everything seems not to be possible
Korel Laloix: But it is a nie goal.
Bertram Jacobus: zons third crash ... :-/
    Wol Euler: <.8

    -- BELL --

    Bertram Jacobus: <.8, bitte ?
Rhiannon of the Birds (rhiannon.dragoone): Wow, Buddhists crash a lot
    Bertram Jacobus: was bedeutet
    Wol Euler: typo :)
    Wol Euler: :-)
    Bertram Jacobus: oops
Bertram Jacobus: "my goal" could be desribed with the word "freedom"
    Bertram Jacobus: + c
    Korel Laloix: +c?
Rhiannon of the Birds (rhiannon.dragoone): Freedom an be a goal, but it's really the prerequisite for all goals
Bertram Jacobus: i wrote desribed before - there was missing the c
Rhiannon of the Birds (rhiannon.dragoone): You have it as a goal if you are frustrated in your other goals
    Korel Laloix: oh OK.
    Bertram Jacobus: :-)
Rhiannon of the Birds (rhiannon.dragoone): Freedom of religion--so you an pratice your religion
Rhiannon of the Birds (rhiannon.dragoone): Freedom of enterprise if you find yourself without a job and need to make money
Bertram Jacobus: hm - "goal" always leads me to the idea of finalism - nothing beyond that and so on ...
Rhiannon of the Birds (rhiannon.dragoone): WEll, there are intermediate goals
    Bertram Jacobus: yes
Rhiannon of the Birds (rhiannon.dragoone): I have a goal of washing dishes, so I ccan fulfill my goal of eating.
Korel Laloix: The word 'goal' has a much shorter idea behind it for me.
Bertram Jacobus: that's it ! : i always aim to the ultimate goal
    Wol Euler smiles.
Korel Laloix: By the ultimate goal you of course mean chocolate.
Rhiannon of the Birds (rhiannon.dragoone): The ultimate goal is to live, live, live (said like Rosalyn Russell in Auntie Mame)
    Wol Euler: of course.
Bertram Jacobus: i call it freedom, for example
Wol Euler: "life's a banquet but some poor sods are going hungry"
    Wol Euler: was that her?
Bertram Jacobus: even free from emotions
Bertram Jacobus: but withuot a lack of love
Wol Euler: would an enlightened person still feel happiness?
    Wol Euler: (serious question)
Bertram Jacobus: i would say yes
Bertram Jacobus: because my impression is that being united with everything is a very happy state -
    Wol Euler: hmmm
Wol Euler: so happiness is not an emotion, but a state.
Bertram Jacobus: can be both i would say
Wol Euler: can you say more about the distinction?
Rhiannon of the Birds (rhiannon.dragoone): Yes, that was her
Bertram Jacobus: relative and absolute so to say
Rhiannon of the Birds (rhiannon.dragoone): But it was "Most" not soe.
Bertram Jacobus: we all know that words here are not enough
Rhiannon of the Birds (rhiannon.dragoone): *some
Wol Euler: because if it#s an emotion, and one tries to live free of emotions, then ...
Bertram Jacobus: but at lest they point on it
Rhiannon of the Birds (rhiannon.dragoone): People just didn't see the opportunities for joy, she thought
Rhiannon of the Birds (rhiannon.dragoone): Even during the great depression, there were opportunites to feast.
Rhiannon of the Birds (rhiannon.dragoone): If you but saw them and took them.
Bertram Jacobus: did you read my letters wol ? ;-)
    Wol Euler: ?
Bertram Jacobus: do they correspodend to what you wrote ?
    Wol Euler considers, re-reads
Bertram Jacobus: oops - sry - buchstaben meinte ich - are they not "letters" ?
Wol Euler: yes, but when you write several pages on paper to your grandmother, that is also a "letter" :) context.
Bertram Jacobus: yes. excuse me pls. and nice that we could clear that up ! :-)
Wol Euler: np, the misundersstanding was at least half mine
Rhiannon of the Birds (rhiannon.dragoone): It's nice when things get leared up
Bertram Jacobus: hehe ... so kind ... :-)
Wol Euler: truth :) it takes two (at least) to disagree
Rhiannon of the Birds (rhiannon.dragoone): you two weren't fighting while I was tucking Rosalyn in, were you?
Rhiannon of the Birds (rhiannon.dragoone) clucks
    Wol Euler: nah
Wol Euler: so yes, bert, we are probably differing more in words than in concepts
    Bertram Jacobus: okay ... ... ...
Bertram Jacobus: so - what you think, how being enlightend could feel ?
Wol Euler: though when I hear of people trying to avoid all emotion, I think of them missing joy and happiness too
Wol Euler: and find that sad
    Bertram Jacobus: sure. understandable !
Wol Euler: is there delight in being enlightened?
Wol Euler: does the taste of good food still please you?
Rhiannon of the Birds (rhiannon.dragoone): There's enlightenment in being delighted
Wol Euler: of would you have left that behind, and no longer taste it
    Wol Euler: agreed, rhi

    -- BELL --

Bertram Jacobus: i like to say : first, i think, the differences between relative and absolute is mostly not considered when we think about such aspects. and also those stages are vey much mixed up in a wrong way. and second, my idea would be, that we for sure can have all those good and bad feelings and aspects also further on but without being bounded, without clinging ...
    Bertram Jacobus: sry
    Bertram Jacobus: wb korel
    Wol Euler: wb korel
    Korel Laloix: Thanks... big crash.
Rhiannon of the Birds (rhiannon.dragoone): WB Korel
Wol Euler: bert, I'm entirely open to the possibililty -- probability even -- that I'm getting it wrong :)
Wol Euler: I'm not a philosopher, I'm just "a bear of very little brain" trying to make sense of it all
Korel Laloix: I think not being a philosopher is a good thing though.
Bertram Jacobus: which possibility you mean wol ?
Wol Euler: possibility that I am getting it wrong!
    Wol Euler: that I misunderstand
Bertram Jacobus: i made an a note in school in philosophy in telling things nobody understood including myself - and that is really true (!) ...
Bertram Jacobus: and my impression is philosophers like questions more then answers. that is not my disposition
Rhiannon of the Birds (rhiannon.dragoone): Philosophers like to explore the possible answers
Rhiannon of the Birds (rhiannon.dragoone): And argue them, of course
    Wol Euler: :)
Korel Laloix: I have just found that people that are the most impressed with their thinking/philosophic skils tend to be the least skilled or willing to do it.. but that is just my imporession.
Bertram Jacobus: there may be various types of philosophers ...
Korel Laloix: I got the impression that philophy proffesors and not.
Rhiannon of the Birds (rhiannon.dragoone): Korel, in SL that seems true.
Rhiannon of the Birds (rhiannon.dragoone): But the most skilled in RL seem the most accepting of others' intelligencce
Korel Laloix: I more meant in my RL philosopy classes.
Bertram Jacobus: in my mind is the sentence "always help, never harm" ...
    Wol Euler nods.
Korel Laloix: I have the exact opostie expereince, but my sample is not that large.
Bertram Jacobus: and so i want to find the nice things which i found in philosophy : that it means : loving the mind (includin its abilities) - if i don't err - and that is something i do ...
Bertram Jacobus: and that i know sentences from it : philosophy will show us the way and help to live in a good way" ...
Bertram Jacobus: and that there are very friedndly persons to be found ...
Korel Laloix: I am thankfull that I had my philosophy classes.
Korel Laloix: But they were instructive in a very negative way.
    Wol Euler chuckles.
Wol Euler: finding out what you don't like is also useful knowledge
Rhiannon of the Birds (rhiannon.dragoone): I'm sorry to hear that, Korel
Bertram Jacobus: some things in school don't go the way we would appreciate - especially in music is was in former times often said that the pressure on the pupils to play a flute or something like that - did not help to let them love it ...
    Wol Euler nods.
Wol Euler: which is also sadly true of the way literature is taught

    -- BELL --

Korel Laloix: The thing that was the most sily about them was how little thinking those classes took.
Wol Euler: pushed down the throats of kids who are far too young and inexperienced to appreciate it
Rhiannon of the Birds (rhiannon.dragoone): yeah, one of my friends passed out in his logic class from the stress; decided to become a jazz musician instead of a philosophy teaher
Bertram Jacobus: it's problematic that teaching that way happens in the years where children would appreciate very much different activities, much moving and such - would be nice to change and fit the taechings a bit to those needs ...
Wol Euler: my dears, I'm sorry but I will have to leave now. RL insists on my presence.
Rhiannon of the Birds (rhiannon.dragoone): At first I felt an outsider as a graduate student, but when all the graduate students showed up to see me perform, I felt acepted and kind of special
Rhiannon of the Birds (rhiannon.dragoone): It is late, Wol
    Korel Laloix: Take care.
