Rotten blueberries.

Storm Nordwind: I had some blueberries in the car that we forgot about for four days... now the car needs a good deodorizing!
Riddle Sideways: did not think blueberries would be so bad
Riddle Sideways: spilt coffee milk is really bad
Storm Nordwind: Me neither. But I didn't grow up with blueberries - they're a new food for me - so I had no idea how bad they could get and so quickly.

Storm Nordwind: How was the problem of differing assumptions for each person addressed? Or was that not seen as a problem?
Riddle Sideways: rotten memory, but probably problem was seen and solution not addressed
Storm Nordwind: Perhaps it's like an artwork, where the important thing is not what any meaning the artist intended, but rather all the different meanings that each individual viewer sees in it.

Expanding knowledge.

Storm Nordwind: When we don't understand things, there's always the opportunity to speculate, or research, or ignore, or just accept and enjoy.
Riddle Sideways: yep, always those
Storm Nordwind: Blueberries to me always meant America in the past. Now they also remind me of a smelly car!

Storm Nordwind: Things change. Culture changes. Some needs change while some remain. Some fruit gets rotten and needs cleaning out. (Just reading how Kodak has just filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection.) What was once iconic is not* eclipsed.
