    Zen Arado: Hi Xirana :)
    Xirana Oximoxi: hello Zen! :)
Zen Arado: how are you today?
Xirana Oximoxi: it's been all day raining here..
Xirana Oximoxi: so, it's not very agreable to go out walking and I miss it
    Xirana Oximoxi: and you?
Zen Arado: but you need rain
Zen Arado: is it dry usually?
Xirana Oximoxi: ah yes! rain is very important!!
Xirana Oximoxi: where I live it's quite rainy..but tyhis winter has been very unusuall and near 2 months without ...so now it's very welcome
Zen Arado: it was warm here last week..about 18 C and now down to 6C
    Xirana Oximoxi: same here:)
    Zen Arado: and snowing yesterday
    Zen Arado: but only sleet
    Zen Arado: didn't lie
    Zen Arado: North winds
    Zen Arado: instead of South
Xirana Oximoxi: and is it normal for your place to snow at this time of the year?
    Zen Arado: no
    Zen Arado: unusual
Xirana Oximoxi: so, the weather is going a little crazy :)
Zen Arado: usually Jan and Feb
Zen Arado: but we didn't have any this winter
Xirana Oximoxi: I've seen you like to play 'srablle' :)
    Xirana Oximoxi: scrabble*
    Zen Arado: yes
    Zen Arado: restart :(
    Xirana Oximoxi: oh!
Zen Arado: better go to Kira
    Xirana Oximoxi: yes
    Xirana Oximoxi: we go:)

Region restart at this point, chat logs and scrabble in Kira:

    Zen (zen.arado): Hi again ;)
    Xirana (xirana.oximoxi): it's every wednesday
    Xirana (xirana.oximoxi): hi again:)
    Zen (zen.arado): yes
Xirana (xirana.oximoxi): I wanted to come walking...but at the end I've made a tp:)
Zen (zen.arado): last week I had to remove timestamps from log chat
    Zen (zen.arado): took ages
Zen (zen.arado): V2 puts timestamps back on every time I remove them
Xirana (xirana.oximoxi): ahh I was going to ask you how you do when the chat is not recorded and must take it from your computer
Zen (zen.arado): but I checked today
Xirana (xirana.oximoxi): there's not an easier way?
Xirana (xirana.oximoxi): you do it manually?
Zen (zen.arado): it is in chat log on hard drive
Zen (zen.arado): can paste into Word and use find and replace
Zen (zen.arado): but that only takes away times that are the same
    Xirana (xirana.oximoxi): uff
Zen (zen.arado): so I had to go through 50 mins
Xirana (xirana.oximoxi): maybe boxy knows a way to do it quicker:) we will have to ask
    Zen (zen.arado): yeh
Xirana (xirana.oximoxi): and now we can be silent for a while :))
Zen (zen.arado): I need to make sure they don't get put on in the first place
Zen (zen.arado): you asked me about scrabble
    Xirana (xirana.oximoxi): yes:)
Zen (zen.arado): I play with a Romanian woman
Zen (zen.arado): it improves her English she says
Xirana (xirana.oximoxi): I've seen you have been playing with a Friend of mine in Facegbook
Xirana (xirana.oximoxi): he is a Galerist here
    Xirana (xirana.oximoxi): no :)
    Zen (zen.arado): only play her
Zen (zen.arado): I used to play with a S. African woman
Zen (zen.arado): but she got angry cuz I won so much
    Xirana (xirana.oximoxi): there's a session at Virtlandis too..on Mondays
    Xirana (xirana.oximoxi): haha
Zen (zen.arado): yes...I go to that
    Zen (zen.arado): usually
Xirana (xirana.oximoxi): it's not fun to lose always:)
    Xirana (xirana.oximoxi): ahh nice! :)
Zen (zen.arado): well my friend uses cheat website and I don't
Zen (zen.arado): because that evens it up a bit
Zen (zen.arado): as English is my native language
Xirana (xirana.oximoxi): what is 'cheat' website?
    Zen (zen.arado): it generates words
Xirana (xirana.oximoxi): you mean to look for words?
    Zen (zen.arado): yes
    Xirana (xirana.oximoxi): ah yes!! :)
Zen (zen.arado): you still have to put right word in right place though
Xirana (xirana.oximoxi): but you know a lot more words:)
Zen (zen.arado): I just use the little dictioonary in the scrabble game to try words
    Zen (zen.arado): yes
Zen (zen.arado): but some scrabble words are strange :)
Zen (zen.arado): not used very often
Xirana (xirana.oximoxi): I've never played...I only have been a pair of times at Virtlandis
Zen (zen.arado): I still have the advantage
    Xirana (xirana.oximoxi): :)
Zen (zen.arado): for instance I was able to add an 'e' to 'develop' because I know the language
Xirana (xirana.oximoxi): boxy says we can come back
Zen (zen.arado): and know you can use either word
    Zen (zen.arado): kk :)

Back to Pavilion, chairs and building:

    Xirana Oximoxi: Zen is coming:)
    Xirana Oximoxi: hi Boxy!!
Xirana Oximoxi: what are you doing??' building a chair?
    Alfred Kelberry: hi :)
Xirana Oximoxi: it's a nice chair:)
    Zen Arado: Hi Boxy :)
Zen Arado: ran back as fast as I could :)
    Xirana Oximoxi: but 11 primitives
Alfred Kelberry: no, got it for free :)
Xirana Oximoxi: lol Zen... this time I've come with lm:)
Zen Arado: nice day for a walk :)
    Alfred Kelberry: yes, spring
    Xirana Oximoxi: yes:)
Alfred Kelberry: good to be outside
Alfred Kelberry: with a chair :)
Zen Arado: sofas are prim heavy
Xirana Oximoxi: well..cushions are also comfortable
Xirana Oximoxi: I've found a place '1 prim possible' :)
Alfred Kelberry: it's good to introduce some change in the routine
Alfred Kelberry: this chair could be one prim, if it was made of... er, forgot

    Xirana Oximoxi: mesh
    Xirana Oximoxi: ?
Alfred Kelberry: um, i think so
Alfred Kelberry: zen got a chair too :)
    Zen Arado: wheelchairs are good
    Xirana Oximoxi: sculpted, too
    Alfred Kelberry: yes!
Zen Arado: you can move around in them
    Alfred Kelberry: sculpted
Zen Arado: that chair is 11 prims boxy
Zen Arado: it says in edit menu
Alfred Kelberry: yes, xiri has already reported :)
Zen Arado: oh it says wheelchair is 0 prims
Zen Arado: or 0 land impact
Zen Arado: how can that be?
    Alfred Kelberry: cause it's attached
Zen Arado: ah cuz I wear it
    Alfred Kelberry: yes
Xirana Oximoxi: I can not eddit your chair Zen
    Alfred Kelberry: hehe
    Alfred Kelberry: nice, zen :)
Zen Arado: looks better that my RL one
    Alfred Kelberry: xiri :)
Zen Arado: maybe I'll get a new one
Xirana Oximoxi: what? I can not see the chair! :) you see it?
    Alfred Kelberry: behind you
Xirana Oximoxi: ahh yes:)) it's one prim
Alfred Kelberry: sit target is off :)
Xirana Oximoxi: yes...that's why I've given up to build furniture...too complicated:) (I did not buid this one)
Zen Arado: I'll have to learn to do sculpties
Zen Arado: maybe I should do a computer science course
Xirana Oximoxi: this one is also sculpted and 1 prim
    Zen Arado: that's great Xirana
Zen Arado: did you make it?
Xirana Oximoxi: you will never end learning Zen:) but it's fun!!
    Xirana Oximoxi: brb moment
Zen Arado: I'm a perpetual student
    Zen Arado: lifelong learning
    Xirana Oximoxi: back:)
    Zen Arado: wb :)
Xirana Oximoxi: me too...but I know there are things that are better not to try to learn...too much for my capacity
Alfred Kelberry: that's a good mode, zen :)
    Xirana Oximoxi: ty:)
Zen Arado: I'm seriously thinking of signing up for one
Xirana Oximoxi: I have some sculpties textures that are free and I think also transfer...do you want it?
Alfred Kelberry: sign up for what?
Zen Arado: a computer science course
Alfred Kelberry: ah, yea. good idea. also remember that there are a lot of lectures online.
Zen Arado: I know of a good course
    Zen Arado: Hi Storm :)
    Alfred Kelberry: zen, which one?
    Alfred Kelberry: stormy :)
    Storm Nordwind: Hi guys

    Alfred Kelberry: xiri :)
    Xirana Oximoxi: hehe
Alfred Kelberry: what was that? :)
Xirana Oximoxi: it was a relaxing chair:)
Alfred Kelberry: hasn't fully rezzed for me probably
Xirana Oximoxi: I was trying some sculpted textures I have in my inventory...
    Zen Arado: http://www3.open.ac.uk/study/undergr...urse/tu100.htm
    Zen Arado: that course
Xirana Oximoxi: one must learn how to put scripts to sit correctly too
Alfred Kelberry: looks a bit vague, but a good overview, i suppose
Zen Arado: did you buy Sculpt studio Xirana?
Xirana Oximoxi: no, Zen, I have some free textures to make a Vase, a bottle, ...
Xirana Oximoxi: very simple things:) and not last fashion:))
Zen Arado: I thought you had to use a program
Xirana Oximoxi: is there a 'Sculpt' studio' to buy? you mean a book?
    Zen Arado: it's a program
Xirana Oximoxi: ah ok:)...no I have not this programm..
    Zen Arado: costs about 5,000 L $
    Xirana Oximoxi: really?
Alfred Kelberry: you can use blender to make sculpts. it's free.
Xirana Oximoxi: I though people did scuoplts with Photoshop or Gimp
Zen Arado: I went to a sculpting class and that was what was recommended
Alfred Kelberry: xiri, you need a 3d environment
Storm Nordwind: Is Sculpt studio the one that uses very large prims?
Xirana Oximoxi: anyway, now they are building 'mesh' objects...
Storm Nordwind: If so I think Sharon has it
    Zen Arado: don't know
Xirana Oximoxi: ahh thanks boxy, I had no idea
Alfred Kelberry: ah, the kitty is an expert builder :)
    Zen Arado: yes :)
Xirana Oximoxi: I've read that 'mesh' makes objects and clothes look more real
Alfred Kelberry: 5k is a ripoff
Storm Nordwind was very pleased to find Phoenix can create its own megaprims.
Zen Arado: you can make prims as big as you like now yes?
Storm Nordwind: I think it's limited to 64m, but that's an improvement
Zen Arado: used to be 10 m limit
    Zen Arado: yes
Alfred Kelberry: i once built a cube the size of the pavilion
    Xirana Oximoxi: :)
Zen Arado: I was going to rebuild my art galletry to save prims
Zen Arado: but wouldn't save that many
Alfred Kelberry: let's test the limit :)
Xirana Oximoxi: I did not know you have buid your gallery! it's very nice!
    Zen Arado: ty
Storm Nordwind: Make it phantom boxy
    Alfred Kelberry: yes, 64
    Xirana Oximoxi: wow..it's very high
Zen Arado: can you adjust textures to suit then?
Alfred Kelberry: gee, i's huge :)
Alfred Kelberry: 64 doesn't look that much on paper
Zen Arado: not far off 200 feet
    Storm Nordwind: 210 ft
Alfred Kelberry: when would you want a prim bigger than 64 m, storm?
    Storm Nordwind: Tree screens
    Storm Nordwind: Dev platforms
    Storm Nordwind: holospheres
Alfred Kelberry: 64 looks more than enough
    Alfred Kelberry: holospheres?
    Zen Arado: like westwing theater

Xirana Oximoxi: I go now...take care all and have a nice day! :) See you soon!!
    Storm Nordwind: Bye Xirana!
    Alfred Kelberry: be good :)
Zen Arado: kk bye Xirana :)
Storm Nordwind: the biggest prim I have in my inventory is 128x64x64 - but I've never used it
    Alfred Kelberry: hehe
Alfred Kelberry: let's see it :)
Alfred Kelberry: er, this pose is... creepy :)
    Alfred Kelberry: omg!!!
    Storm Nordwind: You're inside it
    Alfred Kelberry: hahaha
Alfred Kelberry: yes, i zoomed out
    Alfred Kelberry: huge white thing
Alfred Kelberry: goes all the way to the museum
Storm Nordwind: half was underground - though not now
    Alfred Kelberry: what's the purpose?
Zen Arado: reminds me of alien warships
Storm Nordwind: A builder needs tools. That was in a toolkit. I used other ones
    Alfred Kelberry: hehe

    Japanese culture:

Alfred Kelberry: storm, any news from kira japan?
Storm Nordwind: I see their announcements
Alfred Kelberry: i remember some time ago there was an effort to bring the two groups together, which then faded
Storm Nordwind: I see many do
    Storm Nordwind: Together?
Zen Arado: don't they speak Japanese?
Alfred Kelberry: yes, what was it...
Alfred Kelberry: um... forgot the name
Alfred Kelberry: zen, quite a few speak english
Zen Arado: I went one time and it was in Japanese
Zen Arado: they have a good pholosopher I wanted to hear
Storm Nordwind: Actually no boxy. Many are embarrassed about their English skills, so out of politeness they stay separate
Alfred Kelberry: that's one way to put it :)
Storm Nordwind: I understand them about that. It's fine as it is with loose ties through Pema and Kiremimi at one end and Almond at the other
Alfred Kelberry: i do as well. it's more about culture.
Storm Nordwind: Their culture is very ingrained, yes. I like it and understand it, though it is very different to what most people are used to outside Japan
Zen Arado: morre formal than us?
    Alfred Kelberry: more coherent
Storm Nordwind: Yes, there is a strong formal element
Zen Arado: it is in Zen too
Alfred Kelberry: geography played its role too
    Zen Arado: strict forms
Alfred Kelberry: at one point, they were in isolation for almost 200 years
Alfred Kelberry: until the industrial world knocked their door
Storm Nordwind: Even "kawaii" becomes institutionalized! :)
    Zen Arado: what'sthat Storm?
    Storm Nordwind: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kawaii
Alfred Kelberry: i think of it as "cute" :)

    Zen Arado: interesting
Zen Arado: a Japanese girl comes to perfect paradise wears a kimono and has a pink electric guitar strapped to her back :)
    Storm Nordwind chuckles
Zen Arado: and she is cute too :)
Zen Arado: anyway I must go
    Storm Nordwind: Bye for now!
Zen Arado: byee and thanks for coming :)
    Storm Nordwind: :)
