The Guardian for this meeting was Paradise Tennant. Participants included oO0Oo, Lucinda, Ayesha, stevenaia,
Paradise Tennant: hiya sam how are you :)
oO0Oo Resident: Hi Paradise !
oO0Oo Resident: In that phase of recovering from illness, where every day feels obviously better. How are you?
Paradise Tennant: good drinking Tulsi tea just in from a short run :)
Paradise Tennant: sorry to hear you are not feeling well
oO0Oo Resident: Tulsi tea :) What flavour?
Paradise Tennant: hmm called 3 Tulsi by Punka
Paradise Tennant: like trying different teas
oO0Oo Resident: :)
Paradise Tennant: is this still a regular session?
oO0Oo Resident: can you say what you mean by regular?
Paradise Tennant: Pema use to host this slot if I recall ..
oO0Oo Resident: Oh right! Well, Pema moved to Mondays at 1900, which was more convenient for him. Has been a few weeks now.
oO0Oo Resident: So.. if you came for Pema.. I will forgive you for wanting to leave early ;)
Paradise Tennant: no just wondering I am never up to speed on things
oO0Oo Resident: Does Blue ever run with you when you run?
Paradise Tennant: he use to when he was young
Paradise Tennant: he is too old now
oO0Oo Resident: me nods
oO0Oo Resident: aw..
Paradise Tennant: sad part about loving dog is watching them age
oO0Oo Resident: imagine how mountains feel with all they see passing
oO0Oo Resident: One gets the sense that Blue could not have had a better life
--BELL--
Paradise Tennant: hmm
Paradise Tennant: always better ...use to put on Buddhist talks for him to listen to while I worked .. they like the sound of a human voice would say listen carefully and you can come back as a human and go on all the walks you want :)
oO0Oo Resident: aw
oO0Oo Resident: touching
Paradise Tennant: what have you been recovering from Sam ?
oO0Oo Resident: A chest and sinus infection. I had something akin to pneumonia a few months back.. and this feels very similar to a part of how that was.. but tame in comparison. It has not been such a bad feeling. Came quickly.. and showed signs of healing soon after.. so I am feeling comfortable with it.
oO0Oo Resident: I realise, I have rarely talked about these kinds of things in SL.
oO0Oo Resident: Feels odd
oO0Oo Resident: I find that mentioning illnesses, tends to distress others
oO0Oo Resident: yet it is also a way of sharing what is happening
Paradise Tennant: hmm we all get sick
oO0Oo Resident: balance of sorts
oO0Oo Resident: we all get sick
oO0Oo Resident: indeed
oO0Oo Resident: and age
oO0Oo Resident: and...
oO0Oo Resident: ;)
Paradise Tennant: yes there is a finality to life we seldom look at
Paradise Tennant: but it is really important to consider
Paradise Tennant: shapes how you view each day
oO0Oo Resident: agreed
oO0Oo Resident: it can be hard to reference things we have not experienced
Paradise Tennant: yes would be so nice if there were instructions and a how to manual
oO0Oo Resident: so death can be just an abstraction.. unless we have been with the death of others
oO0Oo Resident: and even then
oO0Oo Resident: well there are the Bardo teachings
Paradise Tennant: yes
Paradise Tennant: don't find death that distressing really think for the person going it is pretty ok just hard on those left behind
oO0Oo Resident: mmm yes I think sometimes what may be most distressing to persons dying is the state of mind of those near them
oO0Oo Resident: at some point in the process
--BELL--
oO0Oo Resident: but I have not heard any reports back in near proximity to know for sure
oO0Oo Resident:

Paradise Tennant: smiles - well I suspect it is not so bad .. really very natural
Paradise Tennant:
http://htwins.net/scale2/scale2.swf?...source=message Paradise Tennant: sort all in the perspective you look at things
oO0Oo Resident: clicks
oO0Oo Resident: sometimes when I feel low, or self absorbed..
oO0Oo Resident: I visit an observatory, or planetarium...
oO0Oo Resident: and it often helps a lot
oO0Oo Resident: this is similar
Paradise Tennant: yes one of the reasons I like camping nothing like really being able to see the stars
oO0Oo Resident: for real.. love camping too
oO0Oo Resident: have you seen the David Eagleman talk on TEDxHouston?
Paradise Tennant: no
oO0Oo Resident: Thinking of it as I pan out into the universe on this site
Paradise Tennant: hiya stev Ayesha :)
oO0Oo Resident: I'll try and find a link for you
stevenaia Michinaga: hi Paradise Sam, this is my long lost friend Ayesha
oO0Oo Resident: Hi Stev, Ayesha
Ayesha Rasmuson: Hi Everyone
--BELL--
Paradise Tennant: smiles at Ayesha a pleasure to meet you
oO0Oo Resident: nice to meet you
Ayesha Rasmuson: Nice to meet you
stevenaia Michinaga: Ayesha, we record our conversations here so everything you say will be posted on the group's Wiki
stevenaia Michinaga: is that ok...?
Ayesha Rasmuson: sure
Paradise Tennant: we were just talking of perspective
Paradise Tennant:
http://htwins.net/scale2/scale2.swf?...source=message stevenaia Michinaga: nice
stevenaia Michinaga: quantum foam, always wondered about that
Ayesha Rasmuson: lol
oO0Oo Resident: lol
Paradise Tennant: smiles
Paradise Tennant: interesting to see how truly small we are :)
Paradise Tennant: makes me feel smaller than a quark :)
oO0Oo Resident: Here's the link to bookmark Para.. was mentioning this TEDxHouston talk by Dr. David Eagleman in which he mentions the deep field observations of Hubble telescope as part of context for keeping an open mind with awe and wonder:
http://is.gd/w5DLIn Paradise Tennant: awe and wonder are so good :))
Ayesha Rasmuson: OK... read the notes
oO0Oo Resident: quantum foam felt mirror neuron imaged on the upper lip of a quirky quark.. after a strange attractor sips a frothy beer
Ayesha Rasmuson: still a little fuzzy on the concept
oO0Oo Resident: fuzzy is good
oO0Oo Resident: I do fuzzy
Paradise Tennant: smiles
Ayesha Rasmuson: what are examples of playing with being in our daily lives
Paradise Tennant: really just a process of noticing more
Paradise Tennant: stilling yourself to stop and see
stevenaia Michinaga: that's kinds the point, when you don’t know, you may get insight by playing
Ayesha Rasmuson: being present-conscious aware in the moment?
stevenaia Michinaga: even when my teacher tells us what to do when you don't know something, you would "play" like you do
stevenaia Michinaga: my Tai Chi teacher
Paradise Tennant: yes being aware in the moment
Paradise Tennant: thinks helps to have the faith that what you need to know is always there for you
oO0Oo Resident: is that a question of faith? or optimism?
Ayesha Rasmuson: kinda eckhart tolle ish_
stevenaia Michinaga: I like that whatever it is, it can be different for each of us
oO0Oo Resident: universe a friend?
oO0Oo Resident: paranoia?
Ayesha Rasmuson: does the universe - joint mind control us or do we control it_
Ayesha Rasmuson: ?
oO0Oo Resident: and might tollhouse consider an Eckhart toll cookie?
Paradise Tennant: smiles think we are basically all one thing it is just perspective
stevenaia Michinaga: what an interesting concept
stevenaia Michinaga: sam and Ayesha's
--BELL--
Ayesha Rasmuson: I like that Para... perspective
Ayesha Rasmuson: I always wonder...
Ayesha Rasmuson: do we all really feel the same from inside_
stevenaia Michinaga: I just accept that nothing is out to get me, so it must me for my benefit
Ayesha Rasmuson: ?
oO0Oo Resident: "feel the same from the inside" Can you say more Ayesha?
Ayesha Rasmuson: yeah... is it all a play for my benefit_
Paradise Tennant: smiles
stevenaia Michinaga: :)
Ayesha Rasmuson: I wonder... does all consciousness FEEL the same
stevenaia Michinaga: I have problems trying defining the smell of the roses to someone, everyone has their own sense of things
Ayesha Rasmuson: hhmm
stevenaia Michinaga: even if they are exactly the same how would you know
stevenaia Michinaga: except through words
Ayesha Rasmuson: I imagine that some day we should be able to communicate differently
Ayesha Rasmuson: as if a touch would be able to relay feeling
stevenaia Michinaga: mind reading? intuition?
Ayesha Rasmuson: the smell of a rose is not only the smell
Ayesha Rasmuson: but how that scent makes u feel
Ayesha Rasmuson: in so many philosophies now
Ayesha Rasmuson: feeling is the key
stevenaia Michinaga: I know I feel different than someone else by their description
Ayesha Rasmuson: hhhmmm
Ayesha Rasmuson: or is that just their limited ability to describe the feeling_
Ayesha Rasmuson: ?
stevenaia Michinaga: probably why there are so many different beliefs
Ayesha Rasmuson: yeah
Ayesha Rasmuson: sooooooo many
oO0Oo Resident: interesting
stevenaia Michinaga: if we all felt the same, we might believe only one thing
Ayesha Rasmuson: interesting
oO0Oo Resident: me wonders if duality desires non-duality
Ayesha Rasmuson: hhmmm
Ayesha Rasmuson: opposites_
Ayesha Rasmuson: ?
oO0Oo Resident: There is the Eckhart Tolle sweet bisquit, and the Yin-Yang biscuit, .. Tulsi tea.. and play..
oO0Oo Resident: and poetic license
Paradise Tennant: smiles my duality is starting fade and get sleepy :) think I will say thank you and good night a pleasure to meet you Ayesha :)
stevenaia Michinaga: night Paradise
oO0Oo Resident: Night Paradise :)
Ayesha Rasmuson: Thanks
Paradise Tennant: will walk the dog and think of the smell of roses :)
Ayesha Rasmuson: u too Para
stevenaia Michinaga: Ayesha, FYI, we meet every 6 hours (not us, but meeting are held) at 7:00 am and PM and 1:00 AM and PM, so feel free to LM this place and come whenever you want
--BELL--

Lucinda Lavender: nice community
Lucinda Lavender: a couple years now...
Ayesha Rasmuson: wow... cool
Lucinda Lavender: started 2L to discuss dreams in another place but ended up enjoying this community too
Ayesha Rasmuson: dreams in another place?
Lucinda Lavender: dream discussion but at another location in 2L
Ayesha Rasmuson: ah
Lucinda Lavender: I came here and enjoyed the discussion as well as pauses
Ayesha Rasmuson: lavender is my fav color
Lucinda Lavender: :)
Lucinda Lavender: one of mine as well!
Ayesha Rasmuson: it calms me
Lucinda Lavender: yes...soothing in some ways
Lucinda Lavender: as well as the smell of lavender
Ayesha Rasmuson: i even picked it out of a set of healing colors at a interesting faire once
Ayesha Rasmuson: oh yeah
Ayesha Rasmuson: the smell is even better
Ayesha Rasmuson: pink / blue
Lucinda Lavender: did you experience a color healing?
Ayesha Rasmuson: was supposed to mean that in needed communication healing
Lucinda Lavender: or something sort of like that?
Lucinda Lavender: ah
Ayesha Rasmuson: that I
Lucinda Lavender: do you dream of colors?
Ayesha Rasmuson: not often
Lucinda Lavender: only speak to that if you are comfortable of course
Ayesha Rasmuson: but I do remember one specifically
Lucinda Lavender: the wiki records our conversation
Lucinda Lavender: occasionally I do to
Ayesha Rasmuson: that’s ok
Ayesha Rasmuson: rainbow colors it was
Lucinda Lavender: do share about it if you wish
Lucinda Lavender: ah!
Lucinda Lavender: were they very bright?
Ayesha Rasmuson: almost like an aura
Ayesha Rasmuson: dancing around me
Lucinda Lavender: ah...remember some of the story of the dream
Lucinda Lavender: lovely!
Ayesha Rasmuson: it was
Ayesha Rasmuson: once had great colors during meditation too
Ayesha Rasmuson: but it is rate
Ayesha Rasmuson: rare
Lucinda Lavender: I had a very early dream...from when I was a teen in which I saw that the soul was like the rainbow seen in a puddle...the rainbow there is what is left when one has passed out of this life...or so the dream said:)
--BELL--
Lucinda Lavender: very memorable dreams.. both of ours... it sounds
Ayesha Rasmuson: very interesting
Ayesha Rasmuson: yes
Ayesha Rasmuson: mine was mostly a feeling of delight
Ayesha Rasmuson: not much else remembered
Lucinda Lavender: so nice:)
Ayesha Rasmuson: urs too
Lucinda Lavender: a comfort of sorts
Ayesha Rasmuson: who was telling u of the soul in ur dream_
Ayesha Rasmuson: ?
Lucinda Lavender: colour can certainly be that
Lucinda Lavender: the dream
Lucinda Lavender: I seemed to dream know...this is what is left after one dies
Ayesha Rasmuson: to dream in the know?
Lucinda Lavender: also in the dream was an awareness in which I seemed to know that the body goes to sleep...from its tips of hands and feet to the head
Ayesha Rasmuson: hhmmm
Lucinda Lavender: dream know is a term I have come to use...it just seems like a strong statement that is surfacing in the dream
Ayesha Rasmuson: I c
Lucinda Lavender: not something my waking mind knows
Lucinda Lavender: just something that appears to be true at that time of the dream
Ayesha Rasmuson: yeah... dreams are like that
Ayesha Rasmuson: only in the moment
Ayesha Rasmuson: only clear in the moment anyway
Lucinda Lavender: nodding:)
Lucinda Lavender: there is sometimes a significance felt
Ayesha Rasmuson: yeah... sometimes they stick with u for life
Ayesha Rasmuson: ok... sorry Lucinda
Lucinda Lavender: nodding! yes...
Ayesha Rasmuson: hubby is calling me to bed
Lucinda Lavender: bye for now:)
Ayesha Rasmuson: nice to meet u!
Lucinda Lavender: nice to meet you:)
Lucinda Lavender: :))
Ayesha Rasmuson: hope to see u again soon
Lucinda Lavender: yes...
Ayesha Rasmuson: goodnight
Lucinda Lavender: night:)
