The Guardian for this short chatty and convivial meeting was Storm Nordwind. The comments are by Storm Nordwind. I don't think equanimity was mentioned once.

Bruce and I both attended Karuna-metta meditation and then ambled over to the pavilion.

Storm Nordwind: Good morning Bruce. How are you today?
    Bruce Mowbray: Good morning, Storm.
    Bruce Mowbray: Feeling good, thanks.
    Storm Nordwind smiles
Bruce Mowbray: How are you and your wife doing with your illness of the past few days?
Storm Nordwind: We are mostly recovered thank you. A little short of energy sometimes, but that is returning.
Bruce Mowbray: Yes, these things take time.
Storm Nordwind: Rate of healing at our age is slower than it once was!

    Paul

Bruce Mowbray: Say -- I forgot to mention to you last night (7 p.m. session) that I'd watched "Paul" earlier in the evening.
    Storm Nordwind: Oh good!
Storm Nordwind: How did you find it?
Bruce Mowbray: Hilarious and irreverent -- loved it.
Storm Nordwind: haha! - yes, good description :)
Bruce Mowbray: Especially thought the alien (Paul) was superbly done.
Storm Nordwind: Yes, I was shocked by how well done he was
Storm Nordwind: The attitude came over all the time.
Bruce Mowbray: Amazing graphics - - and very good acting, too.
Storm Nordwind: Glad it got some nominations at least. Would like to see it do well.
Bruce Mowbray: So many allusions to earlier sci-fi movies.
Storm Nordwind: Yes. And many jokes that I missed first time through that I saw second time.
Bruce Mowbray: I still have the movie here. . . (Netflix rental) -- and might watch it again either tonight or notmorrow.
Storm Nordwind: And I was pointing out stuff to my wife she'd missed and thought she'd previously understood.
Bruce Mowbray: Yes, quite "packed" --- I'm sure I also missed a lot.
Storm Nordwind: We saw it on Netflix. Then noticed it on HBO a few days later - and watched it again with even more enjoyment.
Bruce Mowbray: Great. I shall definitely watch it again. Thanks for the heads-up and the recommendation.
Storm Nordwind: You are most welcome. I rarely see anything that is worth a second look. That was a surprising and pleasant exception. Glad to share with friends.
Bruce Mowbray: I'd been on a roll with Woddy Allen movies -- had watched "Midnight in Paris" twice.... and before that "Annie Hall" and some others. . .
Bruce Mowbray: "Paul" went to the top of my queue -- knocking down "Selig."
    Storm Nordwind: Oh dear!
Bruce Mowbray: So, that one will be next.
Storm Nordwind: I think we have a Maggie Smith movie waiting.

    Downton Abbey.

Bruce Mowbray: She's great -- have you been watching "Downton Abbey"?
Storm Nordwind: My wife watched it all. Has the DVDs and the book.
Storm Nordwind: I watched snatches only.
Bruce Mowbray: I hve two seasons of DVDs myself. Haven't read the book, though.
Storm Nordwind: It's the book "about" rather than the book telling the story.
    Bruce Mowbray: ahhh.
Bruce Mowbray: I also saw a PBS special "about" -- sort of a behind the scenes thing. Very interesting .

    Highclere Castle.

Storm Nordwind: I used to live less than 20 miles from the place.
    Bruce Mowbray: OMG!
Bruce Mowbray: It is sooo beautiful.
    Bruce Mowbray: inside and out.
Storm Nordwind: Very many places like it in England
Bruce Mowbray: Remnants of a by-gone (pre-WW I) era. And the series did a remarkably good job of documenting the changes . . .

Phone rings... and I return to an empty pavilion.

    Storm Nordwind: brb
    Bruce Mowbray: kk.
    --BELL--
Bruce Mowbray realizes he needs to take a shower and run into town for a haircut.
Bruce Mowbray: tip-toes out and away.
    Storm Nordwind sits quietly alone
    --BELL--

I took the liberty of correcting my misspelling of "irreverent" -- and will now add that I watched "Paul" again last night -- catching many of the nuances that I'd missed the first time I watched this densely-packed and HILARIOUS movie!
