A quiet Still session.  Cannot remember the last session that was this still.  With RL being so noisey it was just what was needed.

Riddle Sideways: thank you Listener Master, good friend
Riddle Sideways: a wee bit of commuting troubles getting here today.. the commuter computer bus was slow.
                                 --BELL--

Alfred Kelberry: that will do :)
Riddle Sideways: really thought the theme would be silliness
                                 --BELL--

Alfred Kelberry: not familiar with the quote
Riddle Sideways: not a real quote
Riddle Sideways: take off on "Red sky at night, Sailors delight"
Alfred Kelberry: er, ok. not familiar either :)
Riddle Sideways: "Red sky in morning, Sailors take warning"
Riddle Sideways: always the problem with many different cultures and up-bringings amongst us

Riddle Sideways: why doesn't everybody know the same few things I know?

Riddle Sideways: in group minds (hive minds) some datum needs to be multiply located / replicated
    Alfred Kelberry: :)
Riddle Sideways: if one of the bees or ants gets crushed then the combination to the food locker is not lost
Riddle Sideways: same thing sort of thing happened on this local lan
Riddle Sideways: am running a distributed agent net
Riddle Sideways: one laptop went down
Alfred Kelberry: reminds me of the bus count indicator, or whatever it's called
Riddle Sideways: the others did not know what they should
    Riddle Sideways: /listens
Alfred Kelberry: how many buses are required to hit your developers until you lose control of whatever part they've been working on :)
Alfred Kelberry: i'm sure you've met defensive folks who protect their domain knowledge and won't share anything to feel important
Alfred Kelberry: yet if one gets hit by a bus... you're in trouble :)
Riddle Sideways: ah yes, work with one right now
                                 --BELL--
Riddle Sideways: never heard it named 'Bus count indicator'
Riddle Sideways: wonder how to look up the title
Alfred Kelberry: i'm not sure how it's called correctly
Alfred Kelberry: heard it at one talk
Riddle Sideways: ah, you can sit :)
         Cannot remember Boxy sitting
Riddle Sideways: is there any way to remember what it was called?
Riddle Sideways: how shall it be looked up?
    Alfred Kelberry: http://www.cincomsmalltalk.com/userb...try=3295837104
    Riddle Sideways: thank you
Riddle Sideways: liked this part "I think the original term was Truck Number and then later I heard Bus Count. I guess it depends whether you'd rather be hit by a truck or by a bus :-)"
    Alfred Kelberry: yea
Alfred Kelberry: i think a bus is more... trendy :)
Riddle Sideways: more public transportation, hit sharing minded
                                 --BELL--
Riddle Sideways: contemplates the stilliness after the bus counts
