Storm Nordwind: A lot of building involved beforehand, and editing afterward
Aphrodite Macbain: what IS a cake walk anyway. Is there an animation or script for it?
Storm Nordwind: Could probably make one

Storm Nordwind: There are lots of other cakewalks that are not quite so "knee-oriented" :)

Aphrodite Macbain: it's not so mch about rising above thngs but going beyond the limitations of things

Aphrodite Macbain: I think it's what artists do Stevenaia. thinking and creating outside the box.
Aphrodite Macbain: Being able to imagine beyond what one knows - that's true creativity I think

Storm Nordwind is not interested in temporary transcendence of any kind. He's only interested in staying there. :)
Aphrodite Macbain: Every so often I come up with a new idea and thenr ealize I wasn'tthat original. Like today - I had this great idea baout thestill point in belinng blanmaced and Storm had already handled that very eloquently months ago

stevenaia Michinaga: just assembling parts(information) in new ways
Aphrodite Macbain: We just need to keep our brain plastic

Storm Nordwind: You can get the same result by randomizing and evaluate the result with artistic judgment. SOme businesses do similar. Doubt if that's what people call transcendence though.
Aphrodite Macbain: No, I jst think transcendence of old ways of thinking and doing things can be one way of being creative

stevenaia Michinaga: the top is where the groups try to solve things
Storm Nordwind: Some say top down and bottom up both have to occur, and you then "middle out" to get the result.
Aphrodite Macbain: ah bottom is individual top is group?
Aphrodite Macbain: Not in some societies
Storm Nordwind: Top down is big picture, but may be out of touch with what's possible. Bottom up is detail that finds what's practical. Middling out joins the two, achieving the goal with what's possible.
