Actually, I was refering to a Japanese custom, to give somebody white flowers to celebrate their opening an new establishment: it could be a cafe or a shop or a research institute for that matter. :-)

Claire Maskelyne: I'm not sure I can stay for long, either... I'm pretty exhausted. But I did want to check in.
Claire Maskelyne: Transiency? What type of flower? Or just that color of flower in particular?
Claire Maskelyne: Interesting that white has the symbolism of starkness when it contains all the colors in the spectrum of light.

Claire Maskelyne: I like the hydrangea. One of its potential meanings is 'heartfelt gratitude'. It's been one of my favorite flowers since.

Claire Maskelyne: A masquerade is a practice of assumed identity or characteristics, or at least that's the way I see it.
Bleu Oleander: masks can reveal or conseal
Eliza Madrigal: it is quite a question really.... yes... and would pure play be pretense or revel-ation

Storm Nordwind: We can certainly experience the joy.! :)
Eliza Madrigal: sometimes one happens upon moments don't they... though often only seeing in retrospect...
Eliza Madrigal: to me, in pure play moments, there seems little self-consciousness... but when back in normal mode I think "wow, nice"
