Korel Laloix: Yes.... I sort of crashed it yesterday.. was politely asked to leave though... smiles
Korel Laloix: I don't mind.
Korel Laloix: Did not even know that place was up there.
Bleu Oleander: understands :)
Bleu Oleander: yes, its nice
Bleu Oleander: I attended the first one
Korel Laloix: I really need to get to a retreat.
Korel Laloix: Planning on having one here next summer or fall.

Korel Laloix: My plan as of right now, would be have everyone flay into OK City.
Korel Laloix: Yes.
Korel Laloix: or drive up to Shawnee.

Korel Laloix: Then do a powwow, tour some tribal lands, have my aunts give a native medicince talk/walk, and see some other things.. with lots of chats.
Korel Laloix: But all tentative now.
Bleu Oleander: takes a lot of work ... good to start now :)
Korel Laloix: Been planning this for a while.
Korel Laloix: Want to get everyone out and dancing.

Korel Laloix: Grandma is out of town and they don't need me to teach sunday school so going to have a quiet sunday morning in.
Bleu Oleander: nice
Korel Laloix: Working on duel masters programs in epidemiolgoy and biostatistics.
Bleu Oleander: sounds challenging
Korel Laloix: Painful, but it should be good.. if I can find a job.
Korel Laloix: It is.... I am not that smart, but I do work hard though.

Bleu Oleander: what's involved with biostatistics?
Korel Laloix: Just the methods to do the epidemiology really.
Korel Laloix: Just learning the techincal stuff about how to work with bological data sets.
Bleu Oleander: ah ok
Bleu Oleander: do you study pandemics?
Korel Laloix: Yes... interesting to look back at hte data that was kept especialy for cholera.
Korel Laloix: IN some ways the birth of statistics.
Bleu Oleander: yes I can imagine
Bleu Oleander: did you read Camus' "the Plague"?
Korel Laloix: I know of... but not really got into.
Korel Laloix: If it is what I am thinking of.
Bleu Oleander: fascinating novel
Korel Laloix: More into the technical stuff at the moment.
Bleu Oleander: about suffering, and compassion
Bleu Oleander: right sure
Bleu Oleander: but might be compimentary to the tech stuff
Korel Laloix: I really can't wait until I am passed all this academic stuff..

Korel Laloix: I talked about seme aspects of First American thought a couple of months ago.
Mickorod Renard: well,,i am no expert,,but in some ways I think the trend is to see if there are sort of similar contemplative methods in diferent cultures
Korel Laloix: COuld be.
Mickorod Renard: like the i ching is to the chinese
Bleu Oleander: is i ching practiced across many cultures?
Mickorod Renard: many people have adopted it
Korel Laloix: My meditation is when I run.
Mickorod Renard: and its even part of the national flag in korea and not sure maybe tailand
Korel Laloix: No idea.
Mickorod Renard: well korel,,thats an interesting thing yoiu say
Korel Laloix: Why you say that?
Mickorod Renard: because running and being in that zone,,past the pain barrier is a nice place to be
Mickorod Renard: it reminds me of many things
Mickorod Renard: but mainly a detachment of some aspects and a hightened awareness in others
Mickorod Renard: but too deep to go into today,,methinks
Bleu Oleander: one could say that about all of life
Korel Laloix: I do get into a zone for sure.
Mickorod Renard: for sure, but generally in mainstream life one gets caught up in thoughts that are perhaps not what you want
Korel Laloix: It is when I pray and meditate and get seom things out of my system.
Mickorod Renard: thats nice
Korel Laloix: That is true.. been going ot srhinks now for 5 years to help get those thougts out of my sytem.

Mickorod Renard: I think we all suffer with thoughts like that but in varying degree's,,funnily enough, they are relative to ones position,,so everyone suffers,,even those with little to worry about,,and those with much

Mickorod Renard: I was hoping to get out on my bike today
Mickorod Renard: but its now too late in the day
Mickorod Renard: being out on the bike also helps me ,,a release from the usual thoughts

Korel Laloix: Agreed on that one... when I get out on the highway at cruise speed on my bike it is very calming.. opens my thoughts.

Korel Laloix: I have pretty bad acne as well.. espeically for my age.
Korel Laloix: It can be good for a lot of people.

Korel Laloix: Unles you are contraindicated or travel outside fo your area a lot.
Mickorod Renard: ahh the flu jab
Korel Laloix: Yes... and I have a lot of bad scars as well that give me issues.
Mickorod Renard: yea, I find,,like just at this time,,it crops up,,cos of the change of season
Mickorod Renard: like I now have the heating on
Mickorod Renard: and my body is getting adjusted all over
Mickorod Renard: I was amazed at how many people died due to the plague,,(black death ) in England
Korel Laloix: Well all over erupe and Asia is well documented.
Mickorod Renard: its frightening to think that something like that could happen again
Korel Laloix: And when they brought the plauges and small pox to the Americas, some thing that upwards of 60percent of the native population died.
Mickorod Renard: I wondered at one time whether aids would become as bad,,but that seems to have faded away
Korel Laloix: It is a possibility.
Mickorod Renard: yes, thats scary Korel
Korel Laloix: Not really.... aids still kills huge numbbers... it is just mostly in africa or in countries that don't track.
Mickorod Renard: I see
Korel Laloix: And talking about AIDS epidemiology is not politicially correct... frowns
Korel Laloix: So it does not get the attention it realy needs.
Mickorod Renard: I remember years back,,,there was rumours that it was purposly developed
Mickorod Renard: but that I guess was just a conspiracy theory
Mickorod Renard: but it , or that sort of thing could happen,,should some pwer have an adgenda
Mickorod Renard: agenda
Korel Laloix: Actually, I read an article that the idea othe AIDS was manumatured was a deliverate campaing by the USSR for political warfare in Africa.
Korel Laloix: need to find a source for that though.

Korel Laloix: Very hard to sort out the bs from the facts sometimes.

Mickorod Renard: and the reverse,,I find I am left thinking that I am not being given all the truth too..sometimes
