Korel Laloix: To me, it is a good analysis tool.
Korel Laloix: But has its limitations.

stevenaia Michinaga: I generally try not to second guess the past, but just learn from it
Catrinamonblue Resident: sometimes it's hard not to second guess
Catrinamonblue Resident: specially when your actions unintentionally caused hurt
stevenaia Michinaga: actually a rather recent term Dictionary says it was first used in 1866
stevenaia Michinaga: yes, the what if I only.... instead of... thinking
stevenaia Michinaga: hurt is so hard to predicet even when intentional

stevenaia Michinaga: ponders how hindsight can be somethng positive in that instance, Cat, does it change regret for instance?
Catrinamonblue Resident: regret expressed, making amends, becoming aware of bad habits of being, changing said habits
stevenaia Michinaga: nods, ty
Catrinamonblue Resident: the last two months have been this process for me
Catrinamonblue Resident: painful but in the end beneficial
stevenaia Michinaga: you can;t have hindsight (or anything else for that matter) with out time
Catrinamonblue Resident: time the great healer is also an enemy
stevenaia Michinaga: I think there is always a choice
stevenaia Michinaga: could be both
Catrinamonblue Resident: yes there is choice, I choose today to be happy, to not let the darkness overwhelm me, to just be in the moment and exist
stevenaia Michinaga: :), always a wise choice
stevenaia Michinaga: darkness can be so consuming

Catrinamonblue Resident: it's not so much trying as choosing. Hindsight can help us to make better choices in the future
Santoshima Resident: hindsight is in the present is it not? reflecting on previous experience
stevenaia Michinaga: what;s the forward version of hindhsight... foresight? Reflecting on the future
stevenaia Michinaga: are both in the present?

stevenaia Michinaga: you can;t have either without now... so both are in the moment... strangely
Catrinamonblue Resident: reflections in the window, what I have done can not be undone but what I do tomorrow can be different

stevenaia Michinaga: growth and change are always options for the future
