Korel Laloix: Very rarely on this time of day.
Lucinda Lavender: it is here this morning
    Lucinda Lavender: ah
    Korel Laloix: Freezing.....
    Korel Laloix: Well, 37 evidently.
Lucinda Lavender: that is cold to me I guess
Korel Laloix: It is to me as well.
Lucinda Lavender: we don't turn our heat up much
Korel Laloix: But supposed to get up to the mid 60s though.
    Lucinda Lavender: nice:)
Korel Laloix: People around me dont either.. so I just bundle up.
Korel Laloix: I have a space heater going under my desk.
Korel Laloix: And I have a lot of clothes on.
    Lucinda Lavender: nice!!
Korel Laloix: The same things happens in the heat of summer as well... they turn up the AC so much that I get cold then too.. sucks to be me sometimes... lol.. frowns
Lucinda Lavender: I think I may need to leave a little early today
    Lucinda Lavender: lol to you...
Lucinda Lavender: with my sprained ankle every thing takes more time
    Lucinda Lavender: ankle
Korel Laloix: What did you do?
Lucinda Lavender: and I am opening up the chickens down the block as well
Lucinda Lavender: stepped off the driveway to the grass which was a little lower
    Korel Laloix: Heya D.
    druth Vlodovic: hoy
    Korel Laloix: Sounds painful.
Lucinda Lavender: I was pulling a tarp over the cord of wood dumped on the driveway
Korel Laloix: Hope that heals soon.
    Lucinda Lavender: Hi druth!
    Korel Laloix: Oh OK.
Korel Laloix: What kind of chickens?
Lucinda Lavender: it is not broken and I has a new wrap on it that works well
    Lucinda Lavender: very bruised tho
Lucinda Lavender: I have done it 19 times(ankle)
Lucinda Lavender: oh we have 8 now(chickens)
druth Vlodovic: you've bruised your leg 19 times?
Lucinda Lavender: white plymouth rock, barred rock, silverlace wyandotte, silver spangled hamburg, etc
Lucinda Lavender: sprained it 19 and spiral fractured once

druth Vlodovic: maybe you need special exercises to strengthen it
    Lucinda Lavender: yes
    Lucinda Lavender: pt
    Lucinda Lavender: I bet so
Lucinda Lavender: never have had that suggested tho
    Lucinda Lavender: interesting
Korel Laloix: Yes, I would call that a chronic issue.. and should be evaluated in that context.
Korel Laloix: Could also just be a behaviour aspect as well... but might be hard to unlearn.
Lucinda Lavender: it is very mobile...
Lucinda Lavender: so a tiny rock or uneven ground can tip me right over
Korel Laloix: Yes, I would get that looked at from that point of view.. will becove much more imporant as you get older.
    --BELL--

Lucinda Lavender: is :) yes...going to open my chickens now...
    Korel Laloix: Take care.
Korel Laloix: Are you normally on at this time of day Druth?
Korel Laloix: I so rarely see you.
druth Vlodovic: I'm not on much at any time
    Korel Laloix: OH OK.
druth Vlodovic: can you make chicken soup in a pressure cooker, do you know?
Korel Laloix: Just nice to see someone else dark here from time to time... smiles
Korel Laloix: Yes, but why would you want to?
druth Vlodovic: keep it from drying out
druth Vlodovic: I tend to forget things
Korel Laloix: hmm... well I think just covering it would workd.
druth Vlodovic: I have a chicken carcass that is aging a bit
    Korel Laloix: But not sure.
Korel Laloix: The best kind.. well just to cook the chicken with it would be lovely I think.
    Lucinda Lavender: back
    druth Vlodovic: wb L
Lucinda Lavender: never have used a pressure cooker
Lucinda Lavender: seems like if you can follow the directions a good way to lots of things
Lucinda Lavender: we have taken to using the slow cooker
    Korel Laloix: http://suite101.com/article/easy-chi...recipe-a165769
Korel Laloix: Grandma uses hers quite a lot.
    druth Vlodovic: "follow directions"?!?!?
druth Vlodovic: where do you get these ideas?
Korel Laloix: Just as example... smiles... to ponder.
    druth Vlodovic: ty :)
Lucinda Lavender: i don't do well with directions myself:)
Lucinda Lavender: husband does that part:)
Korel Laloix: I like having a general idea of things when I cook before hand.
Korel Laloix: A man that follows direction? I dont beleive you.
Lucinda Lavender: when cooking is my turn it is the general idea...that carries me through
    Korel Laloix smiles
Lucinda Lavender: I like the book How to cook everything by Mark Bittman
Korel Laloix: I need to learn to do more than fry and bake though.
Lucinda Lavender: the directions a pretty simple
druth Vlodovic: michael smith is good in that he gives a bit of theory with his cooking, telling you why you put X in the recipie
    Korel Laloix: Counld be interesting.
Lucinda Lavender: cool! that would help!
Korel Laloix: I usualy just find something on the net and print it off.
Lucinda Lavender: I like tortilla soup
Korel Laloix: If I relaly like hte result I will keep it.
Korel Laloix: I have ha some lovely versions of that.
Korel Laloix: Been in a big avacado mood recently.
Korel Laloix: Having it with everthing.
Lucinda Lavender: saute the chicken, with onion and garlic, add broth and can or chopped tomato, chipotle chicken broth cube helps.
    Korel Laloix: That sounds nice.
Lucinda Lavender: avocado cilantro and yogurt on top
Lucinda Lavender: chips in the bottom
Lucinda Lavender: really fast and satisfying
    Korel Laloix: Making me hungry.
Korel Laloix: Hope the office is deserted at lunch time again so I can order.
    Lucinda Lavender: :))
Lucinda Lavender: thanks again Korel and druth for your help on looking at the ankle.:)
Lucinda Lavender: just wanted to say
Korel Laloix: If I am the only one in the building arond unch time I get to order on the company tab.. smiles
    Korel Laloix: No worries.
Lucinda Lavender: ah! what is the favorite thing for you to order
Korel Laloix: Recurrent injuries particularly for us are usually for a reason.
    Lucinda Lavender: yes
Korel Laloix: There is this close by steak place that has this enormous steak that last me for days.
    Lucinda Lavender: :))
Korel Laloix: I kept having recurent knee issues so I had that evaluated.
Lucinda Lavender: did you do some pt?
Korel Laloix: And it was from my pelivs not quite healing right after I had it broke when I was little.
Korel Laloix: Some PT really helped sorted that out.
    Lucinda Lavender: oh wow;(
Korel Laloix: Yes... was dating a PTist at that time so it was her that suggested to me about getting it really evaluated.
Lucinda Lavender: Korel ...are you going to watch The dust Bowl?
Korel Laloix: So they really can't fix the bone, but I have some exercises I do regularly.
    --BELL--

    Lucinda Lavender: just nodding...
    Lucinda Lavender: sorry to bell:)
Korel Laloix: I will probably pick it up on video when it comes out if it is what I think you are taking about.
    Korel Laloix: Teh PBS thing?
druth Vlodovic: "hmm, back pains, time to start trolling the local medical college for a new bf."
Lucinda Lavender: Ken Burns documentary about the Dust Bowl...
    Lucinda Lavender: druth:)
Korel Laloix: Madi hurt me a lot... but it was sooo worth it... shaved my mile time quite a bit.
    druth Vlodovic: lol
Korel Laloix: I have heard mixed reviews of it, but still want to see.
Lucinda Lavender: have to keep up the body...for the dancing too
Korel Laloix: Very true... it is hard on the joints for sure... that is why there are so few older shawl dances.
Korel Laloix: I am light though, so I probably have a few more years in me.
druth Vlodovic: I worry sometimes when I see the local farmers getting rid of all the treeline windbreaks, what with climate change and all
druth Vlodovic: I remember hearing that the dust bowl was one thing that got people using them in the first place
Korel Laloix: Yes, that is true.
    Lucinda Lavender: using windbreaks...ah
Korel Laloix: And I hate seeting any trees go, as much as I don't really feel comforatable around forests.
Korel Laloix: I think there are some places that still have laws keepting them, but I have no citation for that.
Korel Laloix: Environmentalism has taken such a huge hit over the last few years.
Korel Laloix: Sad to see the changing attitudes and people turning enviromental activism into industrues.
druth Vlodovic: hard times, people look to the present rather than the future
druth Vlodovic: not to mention that most of the money is accumulating with people who are trained to see only three months ahead
Lucinda Lavender: there was an interesting program on pbs called nova science now that talked aboutwhat will the future be like...
Korel Laloix: I have watched that a few times...
Korel Laloix: Good presentation, but was not satisfied with the content.
Lucinda Lavender: interested in the gaming that help to work on Aids and Rna
    Lucinda Lavender: ah...
druth Vlodovic: do you have a website for that? I am terrible at finding things online
Korel Laloix: We covered some game theories in one of my previous classes.
Lucinda Lavender: let me see druth
    Korel Laloix: http://video.pbs.org/program/nova/
    Lucinda Lavender: thanks korel
Lucinda Lavender: much faster than I
druth Vlodovic: I meant the RNA game, but that works :)
druth Vlodovic: I was reading an article about it a while back
Lucinda Lavender: I will go now...will post this tonight...and thanks for all. Curious to hear your thoughts on these topics.

Korel Laloix: With some very dark forest honey.
Aphrodite Macbain: :-) forest honey? sounds like a fairy tale
Aphrodite Macbain: they walked deep into the woods in search of wild forest honey"
Korel Laloix: Has a very distinct taste vs clover, or orange, or general honey.
Aphrodite Macbain: only to be trapped by a goblin
    Korel Laloix smiles
    Aphrodite Macbain: tastess of forests?
Korel Laloix: The flowers the bees go afer are mainly berrries I think.
