Wol Euler was guardian for this session.

Hana Furlough's current display-name is "Hana".
    Hana Furlough: hello wol
Wol Euler: hello hana, happy saturday

    --BELL--

Hana Furlough: yes! happy saturday to you as well!
    Wol Euler smiles.
Wol Euler: how are the birds?
Hana Furlough: well, one of them is about 1.5 times bigger than the other
Hana Furlough: i'm getting a little worried
    Wol Euler: oh, odd
    Hana Furlough: yeah
Hana Furlough: also, this is weird, but if i make a peeping-like noise, they peep back
    Wol Euler: heheheh
Hana Furlough: anyway, i'm hoping the little one will be okay
    Wol Euler nods.
    Wol Euler: I hope so
Hana Furlough: how are things on your end?
    Wol Euler: mixed
    Wol Euler: mostly good
Wol Euler: just tired all the time, not sleeping through the night
    Hana Furlough: oh no
Hana Furlough: is it still jetlag?
Wol Euler: not likely after all this time
    Hana Furlough: oh dear
    Hana Furlough: that's rough
    Wol Euler: yeah
Wol Euler: other than that ... well, one can always complain.
    Hana Furlough: haha indeed
Wol Euler: it could be better, could be much worse
    Hana Furlough: yes
Wol Euler: I'm stressing about money and work (they go together) and about family, my father
Hana Furlough: ahh these are all hard
Hana Furlough: and harder when they happen at the same time
    Wol Euler nods.
    Hana Furlough: i'm sorry
Wol Euler: well, thank you <3
Wol Euler: the hardest and saddest thing for me right now is that I will have to give up my land in Mugunghwa
Wol Euler: and have to tell my tenants that they should move
Wol Euler: (I'm going to remove this from the log, so they hear it first from me)
Wol Euler: because I just can't continue paying tier
    Hana Furlough: oh no
Wol Euler: money is far too tight this year and will probably be for the next two years too
Wol Euler: I really hate to see it go
Wol Euler: and I hate to do this to them
Hana Furlough: i'm really sorry to hear that
Hana Furlough: i think they'll understand though
    Wol Euler: I hope so
Wol Euler: they have all cut back too
Wol Euler: I'll keep my own house, because I will maintain my paid account and its 512 sq m free of tier
Hana Furlough: oh that's a relief
Wol Euler: actually it feels worse in a way, because they lose their homes but I keep mine
    Wol Euler: hello qt
    Qt Core: late hi all
Hana Furlough: i can imagine why you might feel like that
    Hana Furlough: hello qt
Qt Core: how is life ?
Wol Euler: mixed, but mostly good
    Wol Euler: and you?
Qt Core: battling a cold but mixed is a good definition for me too
    Hana Furlough: yeah same here

    --BELL--

Qt Core: is the mystery about why sl is working better than usual solved ? '-)
    Qt Core: ;
    Wol Euler: heheheh
Wol Euler: is it? I hadn't read that
Wol Euler: probably just a combination of fluke events
Qt Core: i haven't see a flying cart in a couple days
    Wol Euler smiles.
Wol Euler: okay, yes, that is true
Wol Euler: but I thought that was just as mysterious as the previous crashes :)
Wol Euler: we know it has stopped, but not really why it stopped
Qt Core: usually there are more possibility for things to go wrong so why thy work is usually more interesting
    Wol Euler: true
Qt Core: when i found wrong code that still ends up doing the right thing (or at least not exploding in user's faces) i
Qt Core: i always can't choose if crying or laughing
Qt Core: did you have a topic before ?
    Wol Euler: not really :)
Wol Euler: we were talking about Hana's pigeon chicks :)
    Hana Furlough: : )

    --BELL--

    Wol Euler: hello bhang
    Hana Furlough: hello bhang
Bhang Tyran: hello hope im not interupting anything
    Qt Core: hi Bhang
    Wol Euler: not at all
Wol Euler: but thank you for asking, politeness is always welcome :)
Bhang Tyran: hi qt and hana
Bhang Tyran: its a rare thing nowadays
Bhang Tyran: i wasnt expecting anyone to be here
Bhang Tyran: is there a session in progress?
Hana Furlough: nah, we're all just kind of hanging out
    Wol Euler smiles.
Wol Euler: very mellow and quiet
Wol Euler: but feel free to start a session if there's something on your mind?
Bhang Tyran: oh wow could i ever hahaha
    Hana Furlough: by all means
    Wol Euler grins.

    --BELL--

Bhang Tyran: well im facing a financial crisis and i cant find a way out
Bhang Tyran: like alot of people
    Hana Furlough: oh no
    Hana Furlough: that sucks
Wol Euler: sorry to hear it, bhang
Bhang Tyran: money is a small part of life but damn is it a necessety
    Wol Euler nods.
Bhang Tyran: lucky me SL is free
Hana Furlough: yeah it's hard to do much else when one has financial stress
Wol Euler: yeah, it sucks up all one's energy and thoughts
Bhang Tyran: i am trying to decide if a new venture is in order
Bhang Tyran: its easy to take risks when you havnt anything to lose
    Wol Euler grins.
    Wol Euler: that's the spirit!
Wol Euler: "nothing left to lose" can be a very liberating place
    Wol Euler: they say :)
    Hana Furlough: so i hear
Bhang Tyran: can i toss an idea out there and get some feedback?
    Hana Furlough: sure
    Wol Euler: sure
Bhang Tyran: well me and my fiance are tossing the idea of an organic hops farm around
Bhang Tyran: its a simple enough idea but in practice very demanding
    Wol Euler listens.
Bhang Tyran: and to boot we throw in the idea of a micro brewery and a you-pick for other small time brewers
Wol Euler: that sounds like at least three business plans
Wol Euler: which is probably two too many right now
Bhang Tyran: hmm thats the catch
Wol Euler: no, just one thing at a time
Wol Euler: if you want to be brewers, do that; if you want to be farmers, do that
Wol Euler: if it works, you branch out
Bhang Tyran: we want to be hops farthe hops farm is first
Bhang Tyran: well you see i live in oregon and brewing is a huge recreational activity here
Bhang Tyran: hops is a major component and fresh hops is a premium ingredient
    Wol Euler nods.
Wol Euler: so far, so good :)
Wol Euler: and pick your own is definitely good for you, reduces your work load
Bhang Tyran: indeed and my girl is quite crafty
Bhang Tyran: she wants to make and sell other herbal type goods
    Bhang Tyran: soaps and whatnot
Wol Euler: so when you said "can't find a way out of hte crisis" you meant that there are many possible ways out :)
Bhang Tyran: a wing and a beer so to speak
    Hana Furlough: : )

    --BELL--

Bhang Tyran: i really do like that 90 sec of silence thing it always come in at just the right time hahaha
    Wol Euler smiles.
Bhang Tyran: do any of you know about starting a business? or know people who have?
Bhang Tyran: its a jump into the unknown
Hana Furlough: sorry i don't know
Wol Euler: I don't know any who succeeded, but I could introduce you to somebody who failed at it :) me
Wol Euler: and what got me was two things: first, lack of focus
Wol Euler: which meant I was spending too much time on things that didn't actually move my business on
Wol Euler: and second, not doing enough marketing
Bhang Tyran: hmm yes exactly my concern
Wol Euler: so I would strongly encourage you to take ONE of these possibly great ideas and make it work
Hana Furlough: re: the marketing issue...i've heard that is key
Wol Euler: and if it does, then in two years you add a second, and after that a third
    Hana Furlough: and extremely difficult
    Wol Euler: yep
Wol Euler: it takes incredible amounts of time and energy
Wol Euler: and it sucks that time and energy away from what you really want to do, so you start skipping it
Qt Core: and look out for association, they may provide contacts and education
Wol Euler: yes, there is probably a business encouragement office in your city or region (name will be different)
Wol Euler: and it would not hurt to get the advice of an accountant and a lawyer, buy one hour of the time of each once you have your ONE idea picked out
Hana Furlough: also, you might want to ask the universe what it wants you to do
    Wol Euler: ha, yes :)
Hana Furlough: you might get good leads that way
Wol Euler: definitely a good idea
Bhang Tyran: hahaha me and the universe never did get along to well its always telling me to listen to my heart
Wol Euler: and you don't do it? silly.
Bhang Tyran: i do that and people get mad hahaha
Hana Furlough: someone once told me to ask a question
Hana Furlough: as in, what should i do?
Hana Furlough: and wait three days
Hana Furlough: really listening during that time
Hana Furlough: at the end, it wasn't like this really dramatic answer
Hana Furlough: but there were signs
Hana Furlough: and i wasn't being pointed in the wrong direction
Bhang Tyran: my plans never coincide with what others expect and its hard to push aside negativity
    Wol Euler nods.
Bhang Tyran: you both give great advice thank you
Wol Euler: my pleasure, good luck
    Hana Furlough: good luck!
Hana Furlough: we're rooting for you!
    Wol Euler smiles.
Bhang Tyran: i will make sure to put up an SL home if it works
Bhang Tyran: free sim beer for all
    Hana Furlough: thanks!
    Wol Euler cheers!
    Bhang Tyran: :D
Bhang Tyran: its the focusing part that im afraid will hinder thing along with initial capital
Wol Euler: so find a way to do it without capital, rent the farmland
    Wol Euler: sharecropping

    --BELL--

Bhang Tyran: i have been asking the universe what i should do to be happy and successfull in life and farming keeps coming into mind i think im secretly a man of the land its in my families blood and brewing is just plain fun
    Wol Euler smiles.
Wol Euler: so you do know what to do :)
Wol Euler: just not yet how to do it
    Hana Furlough: yes
Bhang Tyran: the journey of a thousand miles begins with a single step right into a pint
Wol Euler: the journey of a thousand pints begins with a single hop :)
    Bhang Tyran: oooh good one
    Wol Euler smiles.
Bhang Tyran: i like that mind if i use it hahaha
    Hana Furlough: : )
    Wol Euler: go ahead :)
Wol Euler: I can visualize your flyer with that slogan :)
Bhang Tyran: i will dedicate the slogan to wol euler
    Wol Euler smiles modestly.
    Hana Furlough: : )
Bhang Tyran: my heart has been eased thank you i feel much reassured about the idea
Wol Euler: good :) glad to hear it
Wol Euler: you have a lot of work ahead of you still, but it doesn't sound unrealistic to me
Wol Euler: as long as you stay simple and stay focussed
Bhang Tyran: this is why i come here
Wol Euler: one thing at a time
    Hana Furlough: yes
Hana Furlough: one step at a time
Hana Furlough: and don't be afraid to change directions whennecessary
    Wol Euler: constant review
Bhang Tyran: right hana not knowing when to stop is something im grappling with
Bhang Tyran: i have to go
Wol Euler: so delegate that :)
    Bhang Tyran: hahaha
Wol Euler: let somebody who's good at that, do it for you
Bhang Tyran: goodnight and thanks again
    Wol Euler: goodnight! good luck
    Hana Furlough: good night!
Bhang Tyran takes a humble bow
Qt Core: bye bang, good luck
Wol Euler: everybody needs somebody to talk to sometimes
Wol Euler: sometimes even just to listen is all that's required
    Hana Furlough: for sure
Wol Euler: while this was going on, I was also in IM with a woman who wanted me to do some scripting
Wol Euler: to organize her collection of Krafties
Wol Euler: actually I should probably not say this in the log
Wol Euler: but it was interesting to see someone else's problems
Wol Euler: it is a good antidote for feeling sorry for oneself
Wol Euler: because there is *always* somebody else who is worse off
Hana Furlough: or even to just see that everyone's got something going on
    Wol Euler nods.
Hana Furlough: even problems that we make in our minds
Hana Furlough: i'm good at that : )
    Wol Euler grins.

    --BELL--

Wol Euler: I should get moving, I have laundry and shopping and some tax crap to do
Wol Euler: it was a good session today, thank you both (and Bhang)
Wol Euler: take care, and enjoy the weekend
Qt Core: bye wol and i should go too
Hana Furlough: enjoy your day wol
    Hana Furlough: bye qt
    Hana Furlough: until next time!
Qt Core: bye Hana, have fun
Wol Euler waves and smiles and departs.
