[19:30] Paradise Tennant: we are working on patience this week ?
[19:31] Lucinda Lavender: sounds like a useful word and idea
    [19:31] Paradise Tennant: nods ..
    [19:32] Paradise Tennant: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Patience
[19:32] Paradise Tennant: Patience is the level of endurance one can take before negativity
[19:32] Paradise Tennant: like this line very well
[19:33] Lucinda Lavender: yes me too
[19:34] Lucinda Lavender: endurance is such a great word
[19:34] Lucinda Lavender: it makes me think of runners
[19:34] Paradise Tennant: patience is necessary to see clearly ..
    [19:35] Lucinda Lavender: luci listens
[19:35] Lucinda Lavender: can you say more about that?
[19:36] Paradise Tennant: well it it protects us from negativity then . it is a visionary tool :))
[19:36] Lucinda Lavender: tool for seeing
    [19:36] Lucinda Lavender: nodding
[19:37] Paradise Tennant: and feeling well
[19:37] Lucinda Lavender: and keeping a calm mind
[19:38] Paradise Tennant: and a relationship tool both for your relations with yourself and others
[19:38] Paradise Tennant: often we most impatient with ourselves :)) .. does not do any real good
[19:39] Lucinda Lavender: impatiently allowing fear to take over
[19:39] Lucinda Lavender: and then anger too
    [19:40] Paradise Tennant: smiles
    [19:40] Hana Furlough: : )
[19:40] Paradise Tennant: it seems such a humble thing
[19:40] Lucinda Lavender: i just think of going to the most insecure place and it's outcome
[19:40] Paradise Tennant: but so powerful
[19:41] Hana Furlough: can you say more about that luci?
[19:42] Lucinda Lavender: was just thinking about how insecurity leads one along one path but to ask and trust oneself to choose what we delight in as the opposite of that

[19:43] Lucinda Lavender: found myself saying today ...i am curious, playful, caring...and watching how that increases the trust
[19:44] Lucinda Lavender: and it increased patience as well
[19:44] Paradise Tennant: smiles .. oh luci you are so curious playful and caring very on the mark description

[19:47] Paradise Tennant: In Buddhism, patience (Skt.: kshanti; Pali: khanti) is one of the "perfections" (paramitas) that a bodhisattva trains in and practices to realize perfect enlightenment (bodhi). The Buddhist concept of patience is distinct from the English definition of the word. In Buddhism, patience refers to not returning harm, rather than merely enduring a difficult situation. It is the ability to control one's emotions even when being criticized or attacked.[3]
[19:47] Paradise Tennant: this is an interesting bit too .
[19:48] Paradise Tennant: makes difficult situations much easier I think . it you can be in then and not want to think or do the negative thing
    [19:48] Lucinda Lavender: yes!
[19:48] Hana Furlough: maybe something closer to forbearance
    [19:49] Paradise Tennant: yes

[19:51] Lucinda Lavender: do you think everyone that pushes our buttons has needs or desires that motivate them?
[19:51] Hana Furlough: that sounds about right
[19:52] Hana Furlough: it's hard to remember sometimes, though (><)
[19:52] Lucinda Lavender: i focus on that with children...
[19:52] Paradise Tennant: can you say more luci

[19:52] Lucinda Lavender: sometimes the wiring makes them do some pretty unusual things
[19:52] Lucinda Lavender: but they show behaviors
[19:53] Lucinda Lavender: as a result of something ...over stimulation...frustration.
[19:53] Lucinda Lavender: doing some experimenting at work to find what works
[19:54] Paradise Tennant: at difusing outbursts ?
[19:54] Lucinda Lavender: easier in that environment than with adults tho...yes
[19:54] Paradise Tennant: listening and not reacting seem to work for me
    [19:55] Lucinda Lavender: yes!
[19:55] Paradise Tennant: helps if you can make them laugh somehow
[19:55] Lucinda Lavender: yes that is good to remember
[19:56] Lucinda Lavender: once one starts to get angry tho it is hard to engage the humor

[19:56] Paradise Tennant: I find anger very hard to hold on to .. it is so heavy so draining
[19:56] Paradise Tennant: tend to forget very quicky ..
[19:57] Paradise Tennant: get sidetracked into something else
[19:57] Lucinda Lavender: today i had a compliment from an autistic child
[19:58] Paradise Tennant: smiles a very big smiel
[19:58] Lucinda Lavender: he pretended to saw off my hand...with a block and create a robotic one there instead
    [19:58] Paradise Tennant: ooo
[19:58] Lucinda Lavender: he did this so lovingly
[19:58] Lucinda Lavender: and he loves robots
[19:59] Lucinda Lavender: just a surprise...
[19:59] Paradise Tennant: hard to see how they connect the dots sometimes but there is always a connection a flow
[20:00] Paradise Tennant: and for them often hard to show affection so you must be very special to him
    [20:00] Lucinda Lavender: :)

    [20:09] Santoshima Resident: oh, sweet
[20:13] Santoshima Resident: { i have not much to say about patience, toight ... quite at ease ... patience seems only come forward as an issue when it is needed. otherwise, patience is maybe a state of rest with what is.
    [20:13] Paradise Tennant: smiles yes
[20:13] Santoshima Resident: and isn't noticed so much
[20:14] Paradise Tennant: i guess surrender to the moment is also an act of patience
