Louis Onyett: Hmmm, interesting.
Louis Onyett: Work drama...
Bleu Oleander: yes?
Louis Onyett: IE, changes could cause lots of program risk
Bleu Oleander: sounds serious
Louis Onyett: and we have to figure out ways to manage it
szavanna Resident: 's current display-name is "Sunshine".
Louis Onyett: Good to have challenges, I guess. :)
Louis Onyett: And your week?
Bleu Oleander: great thanks
szavanna Resident: (((()))))))))))

Eliza Madrigal giggles
szavanna Resident: wow Bleujiiii
Agatha Macbeth: Three falls and a submission
Bleu Oleander: Sunji !!!!
Eliza Madrigal: Hi Bleu, Louis, Aggers :)
szavanna Resident: is there a way I can jump into the pic
szavanna Resident: and stay there for always?
Eliza Madrigal smiles
Bleu Oleander: would be nice huh?
Bleu Oleander: go for a long walk
Agatha Macbeth: Just think of the grass you'd need to mow
Eliza Madrigal: sweeping... moss...
Xirana Oximoxi: 's current display-name is "Xirana".
Eliza Madrigal: little wooden branch broom
Eliza Madrigal: bit by bit
Eliza Madrigal: :)
szavanna Resident: :)
Bleu Oleander: hey Xiri
Eliza Madrigal: Hi Xiri
Louis Onyett: Hi Xir
Xirana Oximoxi: hello everyone! :-)
Agatha Macbeth: Hola Xira ♥
Bleu Oleander: so Being, fluid or static?
szavanna Resident: Hola guapina ❤
Agatha Macbeth: Could be a plasma
Xirana Oximoxi: hola Aga guapina :-)
Bleu Oleander: plasma ... of course lol
Eliza Madrigal: it is amazing how lost I feel with a topic when I wasn't at guardian session ... it seems to make a difference if am there when the topic is born :)
Bleu Oleander: yes me too
Bleu Oleander: anyone was there?
Agatha Macbeth: It certainly flows better with your presence Liz :)
Eliza Madrigal: not at all Aggers... it was a great and lively meeting - thank you for hosting!
Xirana Oximoxi: well....we have been quite 'laconeic' explaining the topics I think...so free interpretation :)
Agatha Macbeth: Aww TY
Bleu Oleander: ok maybe start with what it means to be fluid?
Agatha Macbeth: Hm, freshness didn't seem to take off much
Agatha Macbeth: OK
Bleu Oleander: a fresh approach on fluidity
Agatha Macbeth: Rolling rolling rolling
Agatha Macbeth goes to make tea and toast
Bleu Oleander: i'll take some too
Xirana Oximoxi: :))
Louis Onyett: Hydro-dy-being
Louis Onyett: hmm
Bleu Oleander: go with the flow
Louis Onyett: I never took that class cause it looked tooo hard.
Louis Onyett: :)
Bleu Oleander: fluidity?
Louis Onyett: Ummmm, I did build flow gauges one summer that measure flow rate.
Irishk9 Aeon: 's current display-name is "K9".
Bleu Oleander: the moss gardens are a distraction ... seems not fluid in some ways and very fluid in others
Bleu Oleander: hiya Kev
Xirana Oximoxi: hello Kev :-)
Eliza Madrigal: Hi Kev
Irishk9 Aeon: hi guys
Louis Onyett: The fountain helps though. Very fluid.
Bleu Oleander: lol
Eliza Madrigal: the garden waters seem still... so it is as though we are gathered around the most energetic spot
szavanna Resident: hey Irish dude ;o)
Irishk9 Aeon: hey
szavanna Resident: °͜°
Xirana Oximoxi: I like the idea of fuidity in my live too...even if things may be the same...every day or time to time they may seem and look and feel different to me...
Xirana Oximoxi: fluidity
Xirana Oximoxi: lif*
Xirana Oximoxi: life*
Bleu Oleander: is fluidity the same as change?
Irishk9 Aeon: changability?
Xirana Oximoxi: maybe 'change' is more drastic
Irishk9 Aeon: flexability?
szavanna Resident: yes Xiri
Bleu Oleander: movement
szavanna Resident: fluid is seamless
Eliza Madrigal: "be the change" ;-)
Irishk9 Aeon: movable
szavanna Resident: like this pic Bleuji made
szavanna Resident: seamless
Irishk9 Aeon: adaptable
Irishk9 Aeon: hehe
Bleu Oleander: :)
szavanna Resident: :)
Xirana Oximoxi: but fluidity seems more like moving...the idea of the water flowing in a river...(heraclit?)
Irishk9 Aeon: flow
Bleu Oleander: is it true that glass is really a slow moving liquid?
Louis Onyett: yes
Irishk9 Aeon: true
Agatha Macbeth: Back, and munching
Bleu Oleander: cool to think about that
Louis Onyett: really slow
Xirana Oximoxi: welcome back )
Agatha Macbeth: TY :)
Bleu Oleander: bring some for everyone?
Irishk9 Aeon: its unnoticeably slow
Agatha Macbeth passes round the toast
Bleu Oleander: ty :)
Louis Onyett: like me doing dishes
Irishk9 Aeon: a luquid that cracks
Agatha Macbeth: YW
Irishk9 Aeon: i
Bleu Oleander: hehe
Xirana Oximoxi: "No English translation found for 'munching'." :)
Bleu Oleander: so what does it mean to say being is fluid?
Agatha Macbeth grins
--BELL--
Irishk9 Aeon: the apposite of solid and un-moving springs to my mind.
Bleu Oleander: one definition of fluid: A substance that has no fixed shape and yields easily to external pressure
Agatha Macbeth: Sounds like some avs I know
Bleu Oleander: was thinking the same lol
Agatha Macbeth: Hehe
szavanna Resident: ;))
szavanna Resident: no fixed shape
Irishk9 Aeon: flexible
szavanna Resident: like an amoba
szavanna Resident: ;o)
Agatha Macbeth: Amorphous
Xirana Oximoxi: hehe :)) yes...quite a lot in SL :)
Bleu Oleander: so you could say that about being
Louis Onyett: A lot of ameobas?
Eliza Madrigal: no fixed shape yet maintains integrity
Bleu Oleander: yes
Bleu Oleander: yields easily to external pressure?
Irishk9 Aeon: varying degrees depending on consistency?
Bleu Oleander: maybe that's the part being needs to be careful about?
Agatha Macbeth: The reed which gives lives
Eliza Madrigal: not sure external/internal applies exactly ... at least to my thinking.. that would be too fixed a boundary which sort of undermines the fluid part
Bleu Oleander: yes
Eliza Madrigal: ah, nods Kev
Irishk9 Aeon: surhace?
Irishk9 Aeon: or however you spell that
Xirana Oximoxi: :)
Bleu Oleander: so in what sense would being be static?
Irishk9 Aeon: surface
Louis Onyett: Remembering being seems static
Eliza Madrigal: when observed, categorized, snapshotted in action?
Irishk9 Aeon: some fluids have a visual external surfase that is ever changing in how it looks
Bleu Oleander: snapshot of being ... how would that work?
Irishk9 Aeon: to the human eye at least
Louis Onyett: Is that not a memory
Bleu Oleander: are memories static?
Eliza Madrigal: "being at the beach" lol... "being with dog"
Bleu Oleander: lol
Eliza Madrigal: do think yes, memory is related
Louis Onyett: They seem to be
Eliza Madrigal: I know for sure I tamper with my memories
Irishk9 Aeon: memories are fluid when reliving them
Bleu Oleander: everytime you recall a memory it's resaved as a new one
Eliza Madrigal: they change with me
Bleu Oleander: very fluid I think
Louis Onyett: Interesting, since we replay them through the same parts in our brain that we first perceived them.
Irishk9 Aeon: and i supose its resaved as the fragmented bit you recall
Bleu Oleander: yes always amending, adding to them
Eliza Madrigal: was thinking about... when you fall in love - doesn't the mind somehow insert that person into all the past memories... like, the memory becomes "before I met so n so"
Louis Onyett: Fluid when experiencing memory, but static when think of 'a memory'
Bleu Oleander: memories are dynamic in many ways
Irishk9 Aeon: smell is an interesting thing to record as memory
Bleu Oleander: yes!
Bleu Oleander: very powerful
Louis Onyett: good point. so many are just visual.
Xirana Oximoxi: yes...smelll is an interesting way to awake some memories :)
Eliza Madrigal: :)
Irishk9 Aeon: yes
Irishk9 Aeon: and they are so clear too
Agatha Macbeth: Or taste, like Proust
Xirana Oximoxi: yes, taste too:)
Louis Onyett: Sadly, can't remember chocolate enough.
Eliza Madrigal: things not present in SL except for imposed memory
Bleu Oleander: am reading a great book, Alibis by Aciman
Bleu Oleander: one of his stories is about fragrance
Bleu Oleander: and memory
Irishk9 Aeon: i noticed that if i was playing a video game and something was on tv in the backround i remembered what was on tv the next time i played that video game
Bleu Oleander: interesting
Bleu Oleander: so you linked the two experiences
Irishk9 Aeon: but it had to be the part of the video game i was playing that time
Irishk9 Aeon: yes
Irishk9 Aeon: i do the same with music
Bleu Oleander: yes music is great for that
Irishk9 Aeon: my head records everything im experiencing
Irishk9 Aeon: hehe
szavanna Resident: hm music?
szavanna Resident: looks up
Xirana Oximoxi: Perfum by patrik Suskind was a very famous novel about fragances... http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Perfume_%28novel%29
Irishk9 Aeon: if i recall a song or hear it, it stimulates memories of what i was doing the last time i heard it
Louis Onyett: Holy cow, interesting to have a link to such a novel.
Bleu Oleander: indeed
Bleu Oleander: have you read it Xiri?
--BELL--
Xirana Oximoxi: I did long long ago...so to explain something about it and how I liked it I should read again:)
Xirana Oximoxi: and sure the reading would be completly different this time.)
Eliza Madrigal: powerful trigger
Bleu Oleander: yes
Bleu Oleander: i've read recently that smell can influence your dreams
Eliza Madrigal: that makes sense... as rain can...
Bleu Oleander: speaking of dreams lol
Eliza Madrigal smiles
szavanna Resident: ;o)
Xirana Oximoxi: ah yes... :)
Bleu Oleander: helpful for someone to spritz you while you sleep lol
Eliza Madrigal: dreams show a fascinating boundary - taking impressions in, expressing them out yet one finds they are still in, when waking..
Eliza Madrigal: mixing mediums :)
Bleu Oleander: so fluid
Xirana Oximoxi: I must go now....I wish you a nice Sunday and beautiful dreams to all :))
Bleu Oleander: take care Xiri
Eliza Madrigal: :) bye Xiri, happy Sunday
Bleu Oleander: thanks for coming
Xirana Oximoxi: bye bye:)
Agatha Macbeth: Hasta porno Xira :)
Eliza Madrigal: memory and dreams - same?
Bleu Oleander: related for sure
Agatha Macbeth: Not always, I rarely remember mine :(
Eliza Madrigal: but you're working with that right Aggers?
Agatha Macbeth: Have you been talking to Wol? :p
Irishk9 Aeon: i think dreams are your minds way of keeping you busy and asleep
Eliza Madrigal: :)
Bleu Oleander: seems some parts of memory are not available when dreaming
Louis Onyett: How's that Bleu?
Eliza Madrigal: oh?
Irishk9 Aeon: i think nightmares are your minds way of waking you if you need something other than sleep
Bleu Oleander: some parts of the brain are not "on" while sleeping
Irishk9 Aeon: like water
Agatha Macbeth: I don't even remember my nightmares...
Louis Onyett: do they know what part of memory is not on?
Bleu Oleander: the chemistry changes when we sleep
Irishk9 Aeon: i remember them if i awake suddenly and it hadnt actually ended before i awoke
Eliza Madrigal: are you physically exhausted by the time you sleep Aggers?
Bleu Oleander: memories are in many places
Agatha Macbeth: Not really
Agatha Macbeth: I'm just a deep sleeper I think
Bleu Oleander: seems short term memory is not working which is why it's hard to remember your dreams unless you wake up during a dream
Eliza Madrigal: interesting
Eliza Madrigal: but then short term memory might be trainable, since many people do
Irishk9 Aeon: i think there is a lot of wisedom in that french cartoon from the 80s about your body, where there are good and bad fighting it out inside
Bleu Oleander: so your short term memory starts working when you wake up and you remember the last bits of your dream
Irishk9 Aeon: good being your imune system
Eliza Madrigal: devil and angel on shoulders? :)
Irishk9 Aeon: the repair guyd
Irishk9 Aeon: guys
Irishk9 Aeon: fixing you as you sleep hehe
Eliza Madrigal: :) dreams do seem to have an integrating function
Louis Onyett: They've shown dreams help us learn.
Louis Onyett: Snoozing in class not so bad, then, I guess.
Bleu Oleander: hehe
Eliza Madrigal: lol
Bleu Oleander: worked for me lol
Irishk9 Aeon: the imagination is great for helping us to learn
--BELL--
Eliza Madrigal: Aggers.... one trick may be to set a small alarm at 4am... a kind of pre alarm alarm
Agatha Macbeth: I'd probably sleep through it :p
Eliza Madrigal: have done this at some points... it sort of interrupts just lightly enough for you sometimes to see your dreaming
Bleu Oleander: yes it works for me
Agatha Macbeth: I've slept though thunderstorms before now
Eliza Madrigal: I do too... just incorporate them into sleep usually :)
Agatha Macbeth: Stormy dreams
Eliza Madrigal: :)
Eliza Madrigal: somehow I connect dreams and emotions
Bleu Oleander: yes for sure
Agatha Macbeth: I think that's likely true
Bleu Oleander: my dreams are very emotional
Bleu Oleander: characteristic of REM sleep dreams
Eliza Madrigal: more emotional than you experience yourself in RL, or?
Bleu Oleander: probably more concentrated in a way
Bleu Oleander: emotions without the benefits of reason :)
Eliza Madrigal: I'm less able to connect emotionally when in seasons of not dreaming much... it is like some capacity is dulled
Eliza Madrigal: lol Bleu.. there is no reasoning/logic to your dreams?
Agatha Macbeth: I like the sound of that
Bleu Oleander: reason not allowed haha
Agatha Macbeth: Reason free zone
Eliza Madrigal: :) "no grumps in the playhouse"
Bleu Oleander: lol
Bleu Oleander: we dream all the time ... just sometimes we don't remember them
Eliza Madrigal: my daughter went to this great park in St Augustine Florida and found a little corner where there was a territory battle between boys and girls.. chronicled on the wooden slatted walls
Eliza Madrigal: it had been conquered several times
Agatha Macbeth waits for Liz to continue
Eliza Madrigal: :) it was just this sense of boundary that seems related... so the girls had written things like "princess castle - no boys" and then you see it scribbled and a boy's name taking it over.. back and forth
Agatha Macbeth: Ah...I see
Irishk9 Aeon: hehe
Agatha Macbeth: A zone thing
Eliza Madrigal nods
Agatha Macbeth: Wait til they're a bit older and all in there together ;-)
Bleu Oleander: :)
Eliza Madrigal grins
Eliza Madrigal: I guess it was like a tug of war for diff kinds/expression of play?
Irishk9 Aeon: partition
Eliza Madrigal: I remember those kinds of boundaries in childhood but it was usually just girls
Agatha Macbeth: Boundaries are often good to break
Eliza Madrigal: like if you couldn't do a certain thing (cartwheel, etc) or didn't have a speaknspell, you couldn't be 'in'
Bleu Oleander: that's what they're there for :)
Eliza Madrigal: yes!
Agatha Macbeth: Hehe
Agatha Macbeth: One certainly learns more that way it seems
Agatha Macbeth: 'I'll take the red pill'
Bleu Oleander: :)
--BELL--
Irishk9 Aeon: the colour of those pills is interesting
Irishk9 Aeon: what is it related to
Agatha Macbeth: Aww, lost Liz :(
Bleu Oleander: so dreams are a blue pill kinda thing
Agatha Macbeth: Maybe could be both
Bleu Oleander: yes if you never wake up :)
Agatha Macbeth: (depending on the dream)
Bleu Oleander: yes of course hehe
Agatha Macbeth: Anyway, I need to get back to rearranging furniture
Bleu Oleander: sounds fun
szavanna Resident: hugs Aga °͜°
szavanna Resident: good luck :)
Bleu Oleander: take care
Agatha Macbeth: TC ♥♥♥
Bleu Oleander: so did we make any progress on this week's theme?
Bleu Oleander: fluid or static?
szavanna Resident: I think so °͜°
Bleu Oleander: seems obvious to me
Bleu Oleander: the fluid part
szavanna Resident: what is next week's topic?
Bleu Oleander: being, fluid or static
szavanna Resident: same?
Bleu Oleander: we started it today
Bleu Oleander: last week was freshness
Bleu Oleander: you missed a week Sunji
szavanna Resident: hmm little mixed up
Bleu Oleander: but cute :)
szavanna Resident: ;D
Bleu Oleander: :P
Bleu Oleander: so when is your first dream building class?
szavanna Resident: tomorrow after my session
szavanna Resident: :)
Bleu Oleander: oh great
szavanna Resident: we will go to the workshop
Bleu Oleander: I can come to that one :)
szavanna Resident: if there are victims ;D
Bleu Oleander: hehe
szavanna Resident: I will add some info there about it
szavanna Resident: if not I will build away
szavanna Resident: °͜°
Bleu Oleander: we should get a template from Storm
szavanna Resident: hmm must go guys too much interruptions in RL
szavanna Resident: yes I need that also
Bleu Oleander: ok take care
szavanna Resident: please send it to me if you have it
Bleu Oleander: I should get going also
szavanna Resident: .*♥*...║║║║╔╗╔╗*♥*
szavanna Resident: ...*♥*.╠╣║║║╗╚╗.....*❤*
szavanna Resident: *♥*....║║╚╝╚╝╚╝........
szavanna Resident: ;o)
Bleu Oleander: ♥ *•.¸♥¸.•* ♥
Irishk9 Aeon: ill go too, i enjoyed the discussion guys
Louis Onyett: Bye all.
szavanna Resident: see you all soon

one of the panelists is the author I mentioned above. two of the others I have met and have had fascinating conversations with about their books.
