Korel Laloix: How are you today?... what time zone are you in?
Wester Kiranov: i'm in europe - it's 10:24 here

Korel Laloix: OK.. smiles.
Wester Kiranov: how are you?
Korel Laloix: 4:30 am here... just can't get back to sleep.
Wester Kiranov: again?
Korel Laloix: I have chronic in/parasomnia.
Korel Laloix: But SL tends to help clear out my brain.
Korel Laloix: Not sure if that is a compliment... smiles
Wester Kiranov: shall i sing you a lullaby? :-) I don't know any English ones, I think

Korel Laloix: Not sure I do either... smiles...
Korel Laloix: Neve really figured out a good trend on how to get me to sleep.
Korel Laloix: But when things get bad i do have a sort of plan of things that I use that get gradually more drastic.
Wester Kiranov: more drastic than SL? what could that be? ;-)
Korel Laloix: The next two things are fortunatly things I like... running too much and alcohol... smiles
Wester Kiranov: i suppose those could be useful, in the right dose
Korel Laloix: It works for me a lot.
Wester Kiranov: good
Korel Laloix: After that I take my sleeping presription... which does not always work.... and has some prety messed up down sides to it.
Wester Kiranov: So, how does all this affect your day hours? Do you get very sleepy during the day?
Korel Laloix: I can.... if my schedule gets way messed up I can be pretty miserable.
Korel Laloix: But after years of this I have learned to cope quiet well most of the time.
Korel Laloix: Had to go to a sleep clinic though... week long thing.
Wester Kiranov: what was the best thing you learned at the sleep clinic?
Korel Laloix: Sleep hygiene.... just using the bed for sleeping....
Korel Laloix: No eating, studying, lounging, sex, etc.

Korel Laloix: Just getting a sleep pattern was good as well.
Wester Kiranov: what do you mean by that? going to bed at the same time every day?
Korel Laloix: Not so much that... but yes i do try.
Korel Laloix: But I have sort of a ritual that I follow.
Korel Laloix: When I am ready for bed, I do certain things in a certain order each time then get directly into bed.

Wester Kiranov: ah, a bedtime ritual
Korel Laloix: So as the theory goes, it gets my brain in the pattern of getting ready for sleep.
Wester Kiranov: may i ask, what does your ritual look like?
Korel Laloix: Sure.. just stuff you need to do at the end of the day... or just need to do, but i do as I get ready for bed.
Korel Laloix: Makeup off, brush my teeth, brush my hair and put it up, write in my jiournal and my list of things to do for tomorrow, put on certain PJs, prayer.
Korel Laloix: How about you?
Wester Kiranov: well, after I have put the kids to bed i collapse on the couch. or before the computer
Korel Laloix: Sounds good to me.
Wester Kiranov: i put the computer on a warmer color and turn down the lights. sometimes i forget the lights, and that means i get sleepy later
Korel Laloix: It was funny though, when I lived with grandma it was so predictable that The Cat figured it out and knew his personal bed warmer would be in place.. lol

Wester Kiranov: i know i sleep better when i read instead of sitting at the computer, but it's not always easy to walk away from the screen
Korel Laloix: understandable.
Korel Laloix: I really cant read myself to sleep well.
Korel Laloix: Trying to solve a puzzle that I can't slove works well sometimes though.
Wester Kiranov: that wouldn't work for me, i'd just keep thinking about it
Korel Laloix: That is one reazong I don't try that method much.... smiles
