Korel Laloix: Heya
Vorder Forder: good evening
Rosatta Resident: Hi, Vorder : )
Vorder Forder: hi Rosatta and Korel
Korel Laloix: Heya
Qt Core: hi all
Rosatta Resident: Hello, Qt : )
Vorder Forder: hello Qt
--BELL--
Rosatta Resident giggles
Rosatta Resident: that reminds me of a boxing starter bell
Rosatta Resident: The round has started
Vorder Forder: no beginning no end
Rosatta Resident smiles
Rosatta Resident: Does anyone have a dream to share?
Korel Laloix: It is lovely here today.. 95 with some good humidity... been daydreaming of being hot for a while now... smiles
Rosatta Resident: I'm glad your day dream became and experiential reality : )
Korel Laloix: I like it hotter than this, but it is a good start.
Rosatta Resident: I don't do well in the heat.
Korel Laloix: Sitting on my balcony in my shorts just sweating... I so love summer.
Rosatta Resident: I grew up on the California coast and I am used to it being cool and rainy most of the year
Qt Core: we abruptly get to low 80 f a little annoying not being ready for it
Rosatta Resident: Sounds as good as a sweat lodge or sauna
Rosatta Resident: What is your normal temperature, Qt?
Qt Core: it is normal for this season it's only that we have a few weeks of cold and rain
Korel Laloix: Tehre are usually some nitce botanical scents in those though.
Rosatta Resident: Is 80 high or low for you?
Qt Core: had*
Korel Laloix: There is a faint scent of honeysuckle I think.
Rosatta Resident: Mmmmm . . . I love honeysuckle
Rosatta Resident: And jasmine
Rosatta Resident: I notice that when I day dream over plant catalogs, I seem to prefer the fragrant flowering ones
Qt Core: how about the one you don't know the smell ? ;-)
Rosatta Resident: I read the description. usually it will say if it is fragrant or not
Korel Laloix: Jasmine is more at night though around here.
Rosatta Resident: I think it is everywhere, . . . or is it?
Korel Laloix: 25 second chat lag.. wow
Rosatta Resident: I love the old fashioned carnation fragrance. There are a lot of things that the frangrance has been bred out of them
Qt Core: when i'm asked about flowers in plant catalogue i always end up pointing at the yellow ones
Rosatta Resident: Yellow is good
Rosatta Resident: A few years ago we had and El Nino and it rained for 98 days straight
Rosatta Resident: I went and planted yellow pansies in the front yard to pretend we had some sunshine
Rosatta Resident: Is anyone here a gardener?
Qt Core: i don't understand when the ask me about to watch plant catalogue as in the end i don't attend the plants nor look at them
Rosatta Resident: Your plants don't get taken care of?
Qt Core: not by me
Rosatta Resident: If you don't enjoy plants they are a lot of annoying work
Rosatta Resident: I think it has to be a labor of love
Qt Core: i like them, from afar
Eliza Madrigal: 's current display-name is "Eliza".
Rosatta Resident: I Vorder typing. Is that lag, or did you choose not to post it, Vorder?
Qt Core: hi Eliza
Rosatta Resident: Hello, Elza : )
Eliza Madrigal: Hi Qt, Rosatta, Vorder in blue :)
--BELL--
Rosatta Resident: Korel mentioned a 25 second chat lag, and Vorder typed twice but nothing appeared in the chat box, so I think they were having problems with that
Eliza Madrigal: sometimes happens
Eliza Madrigal: I don't feel lag but, depends on connection
Qt Core: i'm ok too
Eliza Madrigal: realized I'd forgotten the setting this morning, hope you don't mind :)
Qt Core: np eliza
Rosatta Resident: I love it that you left the setting
Eliza Madrigal: :)
Eliza Madrigal: Hi Kori
Korel Laloix: Heya
Rosatta Resident: wb : )
Qt Core: wb Korel, relog or crash ?
Korel Laloix: Very bad lag recently.
Korel Laloix: Both..
Korel Laloix: Still 15 sec chat lag.
Korel Laloix: Reminds me of Sl six years ago.. very slow and crashy.
Rosatta Resident: I think their birthday updates need updating
Korel Laloix: They need to role back things to about three years ago.
Korel Laloix: Get rid of mesh for sure.. jsut lags things hard for us folks that can't afford fiber.
Eliza Madrigal: some of the visuals are amazing now...and animations so fluid
Korel Laloix: Or they just crash you... lol
Eliza Madrigal: :)
Eliza Madrigal: what lags I guess is overall inclusive progress
Korel Laloix: To even work in Sl i have to derez everything now.
Eliza Madrigal: frustrating
Rosatta Resident: What do you mean derez everything?
Korel Laloix: Funny seeing everyone floating in the air with no clothes on... smiles
Eliza Madrigal: I felt that when internet was weak here for a while - how unpleasant SL can be
Rosatta Resident: That would take the fun out of it
Korel Laloix: Hit cntrl alt shift 9
Eliza Madrigal: or at least five times the work, yes
Eliza Madrigal: I did hear that the US is beginning to catch up with other countries with speed
Rosatta Resident: lol Now everyone is bald and floating above a plain of grass
Korel Laloix: That is what I have to do all the time just to be able to stay logged in.
Rosatta Resident: That makes everything very surreal
Eliza Madrigal: and some places, like near Boca Raton here in South Florida, have at least a base internet access all over
Korel Laloix: Yes, we are slowly getting good access out to rural areas now.
Eliza Madrigal nods
Eliza Madrigal: my grandfather doesn't pay for internet anymore, but he says if he needed to work online he would still need to, due to strength of connection and access
Korel Laloix: Some states really got themselves in troulbe with legislation on getting coverage to everyone.. very difficult to some communities.
Eliza Madrigal: not sure how it works really, what the restrictions are
Eliza Madrigal nods
Qt Core: well now some can be reached wireless and that is way cheaper (for the carriers i mean)
Korel Laloix: Reeba's place is several mles to the nearest cable provider.
Rosatta Resident: I will share a dream with you, if you don't mind
Eliza Madrigal: would love that
Korel Laloix: But they do have good cell coverage on a good amont of their ranch.
Qt Core: ok
Eliza Madrigal: nice
--BELL--
Rosatta Resident: Somehow I had managed to drive over an embankment into a fairly deep ditch. The car wasn't damaged, but I needed it back on the road. My daughter was sitting in the passanger seat playing some kind of video game with a stylus. I asked her for help pushing the car back up the embankment and she refused and kept on playing her game. With a great deal of effort I pushed the car
Rosatta Resident: with my daughter in it, back up onto the road
Korel Laloix: Not teh way i would have handled that... smiles
Rosatta Resident: In real life my daughter would never have done that
Eliza Madrigal: what was the feeling in the dream?
Rosatta Resident: Frustration and disappointment she wasn't going to help me. Frustration I had run off the road at all. And frustration at how difficult it was to get the car back on the road
Rosatta Resident: A lot of frustration
Eliza Madrigal: so a lot of responsibility on your shoulders
Rosatta Resident: I hadn't thought of that. Ty : )
Eliza Madrigal: great that you managed to accomplish lifting such a heavy burden
Eliza Madrigal: do you remember what strength you drew on?
Rosatta Resident: I just remember struggling to get the car up the embankment back onto the road. It never came into the dream that it couldn't be done, though when I woke up I realized in rl that wouldn't have been possible
Rosatta Resident: I just knew that if I didn't get the car back on the road I would be stuck probably forever
Eliza Madrigal nods... interesting
Rosatta Resident: vehicles = a way of moving through life?
Eliza Madrigal: yes.. I have a lot of vehicle dreams too
Eliza Madrigal: ways of thinking maybe or levels of efficiency -suitability to objective
Rosatta Resident: Do your vehicles operate properly or do they 'derali?'
Eliza Madrigal: the only real 'trouble' I had was when operating a bus
Rosatta Resident: Other people always seem to have their own ideas lol
Eliza Madrigal: but often I fore go cars for bicycles...
Rosatta Resident: I can't imagine driving a bus full
Eliza Madrigal: or flying machines
Eliza Madrigal smiles
Rosatta Resident: Ooooo! flying machines!
Rosatta Resident: I've never had one of those dreams but I know I would love it
Eliza Madrigal: somehow the smaller the more free I feel
Eliza Madrigal: as though easier to maneuver and get around things
Rosatta Resident: : )
Eliza Madrigal: once I drove off a cliff in a car... but it was fine because it flew
Eliza Madrigal: :)
Rosatta Resident: You have totally awesome dreams!
Eliza Madrigal: not always for sure
Eliza Madrigal: but they do teach... yours feels like a teaching dream
Rosatta Resident: It might be
Rosatta Resident: Using a pseudo-Jungian model, getting the car back on the road means I've done some work to that is getting my life back on track
Rosatta Resident: I don't see that, but that would be nice
Rosatta Resident: And my daughter represents qualities in myself that I am not acknowledgling
Eliza Madrigal: interesting
Rosatta Resident: I see her as very capable and so I suppose that means what I've been doing to get my life back on track - my capable self has been refusing to participate
Eliza Madrigal: or, represents not depending on anyone else... that you're able to get you (both in this case) back on course
Rosatta Resident: That would be nice : )
Eliza Madrigal: :)
Rosatta Resident: I'd like to not be a wimp
Eliza Madrigal: lol
Eliza Madrigal: just because someone goes through times when they're drained doesn't make them a wimp
Rosatta Resident: ty : )
--BELL--
Qt Core: i've rarely had dreams about cars, but they always were big troubles about cars if not just plain nightmares
Rosatta Resident: I'm sorry : )
Rosatta Resident: typo - : (
Rosatta Resident: I'm sorry : (
Rosatta Resident: Do you remember one you could share?
Eliza Madrigal listens
Qt Core: no, not really, so rare the last one was many years ago
Rosatta Resident: I've never had to repair on in dream but I've done a lot of drving backwards
Eliza Madrigal: neat!
Rosatta Resident: Do you remember if you were in accidents, or the cars were broken?
Rosatta Resident: I wonder what driving backwards could symbolize?
Rosatta Resident: I'm messed up but I'm getting there anyway?
Qt Core: i remember one with the car i was driving going backward down on a cliff after i was driving in the mountains or something like that
Rosatta Resident: That sounds like a nightmare
Rosatta Resident: Very frighteneing
Eliza Madrigal: oh dear, nods
Qt Core: reecalling it i was more frighten when the car was on the verge of the cliff then while going down (and the car was absolutely nor mine nor a model i ever drove)
Eliza Madrigal: verge more frightening than the fall?
Qt Core: knowing it was going to fall down and unable to do anything
Rosatta Resident: Once it was going down, was there a feeling of reisnation?
Rosatta Resident: resignation?
Rosatta Resident: or hope?
Qt Core: not sure, curiosity maybe
Qt Core: like why i haven't hit a tree or a rock yet ?
Eliza Madrigal: interesting
Rosatta Resident: Do you remember how the dream ended?
Qt Core: during the fall i awoke, most of my dreams ends with me awakening when/if i got weirded out/annoyed by them
Eliza Madrigal: nods... a lot of falling dreams are like that
Eliza Madrigal: usually startling awake.. have heard part of it is just the body getting into relaxation which can create a panic actually
Rosatta Resident: Sort of like the subconscious says "Ok, I've made my point" and then shuts up?
Eliza Madrigal: funny idea, that we would resist that
Rosatta Resident: Resist relaxing fully?
Eliza Madrigal: yes
Qt Core: i do thet even with good dreams if they become just plain weird
--BELL--
Eliza Madrigal: just because we sleep doesn't mean we relax
Eliza Madrigal: after I wrote that I heard myself think "and just because we love doesn't mean we trust"...
Eliza Madrigal: weird :)
Eliza Madrigal: qt how techie do your dreams become?
Qt Core: i almost never have tech as a factor in dreams
Qt Core: beside a recurring dream i had decades ago where a place like the NORAD from wagames resided under my home
Qt Core: wargames*
Eliza Madrigal: oh my
Eliza Madrigal: control central
Qt Core: (and they were starting a thermonuclear war too)
Eliza Madrigal: my goodness you don't play around :))
Eliza Madrigal: :)
Eliza Madrigal: I loved that film
Qt Core: one of my rare nightmare, but it was in the months after i saw "the day after"
Eliza Madrigal: guess trying to fathom the implications of tech and progress
Eliza Madrigal: and what we don't know
Eliza Madrigal: and 'what is my part in all this?'
Qt Core: a talking rubber duck brought me ouside my home and to a secret door to the war room under it
Eliza Madrigal smiles
Qt Core: when it become recurrent i tried to fight it but with not mush success
Rosatta Resident: Forgive me, dear ones. I have an appointment in 20 minutes. thank you for a very nice session
Eliza Madrigal: did it stop... did something happen to change it? Or does it still return?
Eliza Madrigal: (bye Rosatta)
Qt Core: it stopped in a few months, then come back rarely for a few years
Qt Core: now i only remember it for the weirdness of the talking rubber duck guiding me
Eliza Madrigal: monday in 1pm session I shared a story of a recurrent dream that kept going until it resolved itself... maybe it would be interesting to daydream back into it and see what's there
Eliza Madrigal: hah, yes... well yes that's weird, but cute
Qt Core: both the recurrend dream i had in my life are tied to the house i lived as a kid and done in the immediate years after i moved, probably the time i needed to really call home the new one
Eliza Madrigal: perhaps... probably insight there though
Eliza Madrigal: the story I shared was also a childhood home, some unresolved things for a while
Eliza Madrigal: maybe there is some rest to find there :)
--BELL--
Eliza Madrigal: I need to go for a bit
Qt Core: bye Eliza
Eliza Madrigal: nice to see you Qt, and Kori and Rosie :)
Eliza Madrigal: bfn
